2081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Hashbet.com // Decentralized Games Based On Smart Contracts on: April 26, 2023, 11:36:57 AM
About campaign managers, this are lists of them: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4412712.0. No more updated though.

I will recommend Trofo, Hhampuz, Little Mouse, Royse777.

How secure is your site to people who are connecting their wallet to gamble with your platform?
Won't there be a hack or a wallet compromisation that would lead swiping out someone funds if eventually connected to your site?
If you connect your wallet, the site can steal your coins if they are not trustworthy. Use just little amount of money first until the site has excellent reputation and use secure means.
2082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 26, 2023, 10:50:19 AM
How do you bet on such games? What are the things to be on the lookout for? Because I believe this is different from football ⚽, I also don't have access to satellite dish like my relative does, this is how he is able to get the best out of these sports.
You can be watching some boxing matches. Although not that necessary if you really want to like it, start from checking odds, lowers odds are given to better boxers and be consistent in checking the winners in the gambling site which I think is enough if you are consistent with that.

After some times have passed, you will have experience and you will be able to know the better boxer to bet on.

Very important to be checking some site statistics and analysis and predictiona too, it will help.
2083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: April 26, 2023, 08:25:25 AM
In my own view, there are some nuances to consider. While there is certainly a high level of risk associated with cryptocurrency, making wise market decisions can lead to greater initial investments than just starting with $20. However, it's worth noting that many centralized exchanges have a minimum purchase requirement of $10 for any coin. Additionally, trading inevitably incurs transaction fees, which need to be factored in. Lastly, diversification is a key risk-management strategy in trading, and $20 may not be sufficient to address the challenges that lie ahead.
The exchange that I have used that needed a minimum of $10 so far is Binance, I trade lower amount on my other exchanges and it is getting filled. Even on Binance, you can trade futures with less than $10. As you increase the leverage, the amount needed to trade with is getting reduced.

The OP said $20 which is still even enough not to have an issue at all.

You do not need to diversify while trading. You can decide to choose a single coin, like bitcoin. You can decide to go for just two coins, like bitcoin and ether. You may decide to diversify further or not. But for a newbie trader, only one coin is advisable and I will recommend bitcoin.

If diversifying, traders need to be careful of altcoins, there are many shit coins.
2084  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: April 25, 2023, 09:36:57 PM
You wanted to start big before? That would have be the biggest mistake that you will make. Just start with $20 and use it to learn.

Know that trading is very risky and I can tell you that you should first see it as gambling until you know much about it when you are making money than losing money.

I have been trading for 3 years now, the truth is you should not see it as a means of getting income, find other things that can make you money, see trading as fun.

Always know that you should not trade with the amount of money that you can not afford to lose.

Use very small amount like $10 to begin.
2085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 25, 2023, 11:52:16 AM
“Sabong” or the placing of bets on live cockfighting is an established tradition in the Philippines that dates as early as three thousand (3,000) years ago. The gaming activity is essentially placing two roosters/cocks in an arena and betting on which between the two comes out victorious.

I do not think it is what they even accept as gambling is Philippines by some people. But if it is accepted as gambling, it is stated in the news that it was legal before when the man was involved in it.

If the government legalize gambling, anyone can be involved in gambling. But countries will have their own rules about government officials to be involved in gambling or not.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 25, 2023, 11:38:51 AM
I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.
If I were you, my simple answer is to accept that they are right, but because life itself is gambling. But I will explain further that if it is gambling using money for it on gambling sites, that investing in bitcoin is not the same as gambling on gambling sites, they are different.

If the argument continues and I explain further and they did not accept, there are some arguments like that, that will not end.

Still, I refuse this because I believe they are wrong, Bitcoin market has charts and I am playing with charts even if I am a full-time Bitcoin trader, all I need to do is read charts, and if I am good at it I will win vs gambling, where it's you vs a company which we can never tell if their games are completely fair or not.
Trading that is even riskier is not gambling, not to talk of investing in bitcoin. You are correct.
2087  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: April 25, 2023, 11:19:43 AM
Web3 casinos operate on web3 technology in a way that punters connect their noncustodial wallet to a gambling site in a way that payments are settled on blockchain, unlike the deposit and withdraw on centralized casinos.
2088  Economy / Exchanges / Bybit to introduce mandatory KYC requirements starting May 8 on: April 24, 2023, 06:13:05 PM
To Bybit users.

Know that KYC will become mandatory by May 8. I do not know the reason for this, but likely because of regulatory pressure, more exchanges are requesting for KYC.

According to an April 24 update, Bybit users who have not completed KYC by May 8 can only “close existing open positions or orders, return loans, or withdraw. Any new trading activities will be restricted.” Before the update, non-KYC Bybit users had a daily withdrawal limit of 20,000 Tether USDT and a monthly withdrawal limit of 100,000 USDT.
2089  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Self-moderated]Bitcointalk Gambling Problem Support Group on: April 24, 2023, 03:15:50 PM
Why lock the thread which is not self-modetrated? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5450004.msg62141628#msg62141628

Well, you wanted to make it self-modetrated. I understand. But I think you should have left it like that as long as the discussion on it are not bad and it has some posts under it already.

I have my posts there which I think would be useful and not need to be repeated here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5450004.msg62141779#msg62141779

Nice topic though.
2090  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk Gambling Problem Support Group on: April 24, 2023, 02:04:24 PM
It would have been better if you start this thread about what to do when suffering from gambling depression or addiction. Or you need that now yourself?

I do experience a lot of upsets due to my gambling losses and it's very stressful to bear it all alone since no one in my family knows that I'm gambling. Gambling is also against our family values so I will just get scolded if I share my feelings since they will not understand my side.
Be disciplined
Do not spend more than the amount of money that you can afford to lose on gambling
See gambling as fun and entertainment
Avoid temptation of spending more
Set a weekly budget
Do not let your weekly budget be more than 5% of your weekly salary or wages.
Do not see gambling as a way of earning or income

All off-topic post that violates the rules will be deleted without notice
Delete or report? This thread is not self-modetrated.

Local thread rules:
Why include local? Rules should be rules, this is not about local board or anything local, this is a forum people from all over the world are visiting.

Days without playing gambling:
Days were good until I started gambling in 2014. I got addicted because I thought it could be a means of income for me. I lost so much and I quit gambling in 2019. I started gambling again in 2020, exactly one year that I stopped. I lost so much and I quit again for like three months and started gambling again. I realized that gambling should just be taken for fun and nothing more. Although I am earning income now from work, unlike that time, maybe the little I am earning now makes me not to depend on gambling.

What is your experience for the day(Related to gambling;Leave blank if none):
Not fun when I was addicted. But now fun when I know that I should only use small amount of money to gamble. It is now fun because if I lose, I stopped. If I win I stopped. I am even busier than gambling all the time, I only gambling during weekends, sometimes that I have free time to spare.
2091  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A new #TEX exchange. User experience same as #CEX #transparency as #DEX on: April 24, 2023, 08:04:13 AM
1.For the dex/TEX,anyone can add all coins which don't need the exchange to agree.
2.Compared with DEX such as uniswap and dydx, the liquidity of CEX is more sufficient.
3.TEX is the transparency exchange, which combine the security and transparency advantages of decentralized exchanges(DEXs) with the user experience advantages of centralized exchanges(CEXs), aiming to provide users with a better trading environment.

As for the difference with CEX you mentioned, it is more transparent and secure than CEX.maybe you can check this article:https://medium.com/@Tsp_Exchange/what-is-tex-how-is-it-different-from-cex-and-dex-dfef89ac952c
I do not need further explanation,  just give examples of TEX

Binance, OKX and Kucoin for CEX
Uniswap and Pancakeswap for DEX
List some exchanges for TEX is the question you have not answered. What exchanges are examples of TEX exchanges?

https://www.tsp.exchange/

Do not think you are special than the centralized exchanges. You are not even on any exchange listing site because you are yet to be new exchange. I can not trust new exchange until it grows and have reputation.

You are a centralized exchange.

This is what I found on your yet to exist site:

Quote
The Most Transparent and centralized experience Global Crypto Exchange is Here

Quote
Centralized Experience
Enjoy the centralized perpetual experience such as registration and login, opening and closing position, etc.

There are even many places you mentioned on your site that you are a centralized exchanges.

Know that there is nothing like a transparent exchanges, you are just a centralized exchange that wants to use decentralized means to mislead people.
2092  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin Twitter account hacked, $22k lost on: April 24, 2023, 06:31:25 AM
It is a shame, we know how follows can be scammed if such account is hacked because their followers can believe what the hacker is tweeting and be lured.

But people should be very careful too, so people that have experience and know about this type of scam can easily be suspecting that the account as been hacked because the hackers can tweet that people should pay certain amount of money to receive double, or asking for what that can result to money loss from you which any Kucoin official will never ask.

It is a shame on Kucoin because the exchange failed to protect its official Twitter account, but also humans should have the experience to stop being greedy. As for me, I can not fall for this cheap scam, it is even not a new scam.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There are many advantages to the relationship between gambling and Bitcoin. on: April 24, 2023, 06:02:23 AM
Firstly, Bitcoin provides a secure and decentralized way to gamble online, which is attractive to many gamblers who value their privacy and security.
That is true, but these are used by blockchain gambling sites, most gambling sites today are centralized, not decentralized. Most bitcoin gambling sites today's are requiring for KYC, no privacy.

Transactions are processed quickly and can be completed without third-party intermediaries, making it a popular choice for online gambling sites.
Bitcoin transaction can be completed without any third party or intermediary, but most gambling sites like I said before are third parties.

Another advantage of using Bitcoin for gambling is that it allows for more anonymity than traditional payment methods. This can be especially important for gamblers who wish to keep their gambling activities private.
With the third party casinos, no anonymity and no privacy.

Furthermore, Bitcoin transactions are often cheaper and faster than traditional banking methods, which can save gamblers money and time.
It may not be cheaper for local transactions on local casinos, but far cheaper than cross boarder transfers. But in gambling, what I have noticed is not how cheap the fee is, fiat local transaction that I have made before are zero transaction fee, but bitcoin transaction is processed faster, especially than the international fiat casino with wire transfer that can take over 2 weeks.

Many online casinos and sports betting sites now offer exclusive bonuses and promotions for Bitcoin users, which can provide gamblers with extra incentives to use Bitcoin for their online gambling activities.
I think this is about the casinos, no the payment method used.

Can you tell us another advantage of opening an account in a Bitcoin Sportsbook?
Sportbooks are bookmakers, they deal with sport betting, there are casinos that support bitcoin deposit and withdrawal. Also that some gambling sites can have both, I mean gambling sites with sportbooks and casino together.
2094  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Coinbase & Binance does not support Bitcoin LN? on: April 23, 2023, 08:40:33 PM
Known CEX that supports Bitcoin LN:

  • Bitfinex
  • Kraken
  • OKEx

It is now called OKX. It was changed from OKEX to OKX.

There are many exchanges that support lightning network. You can check the list: https://github.com/theDavidCoen/LightningExchanges

If you click on that link, there are 25 exchanges there that are now supporting lightning network.

  • Kraken
  • Bitfinex
  • Bitstamp
  • OKX
  • OKcoin
  • NiceHash
  • TheRockTrading (excluding it because it is said to be a scam exchange and no more existing)
  • Southxchange
  • CoinCorner
  • BitMex
  • Buda
  • BullBitcoin
  • Bitaroo
  • River Financial
  • VBTC Vietnam
  • FixedFloat
  • LOFT
  • PrimeBit
  • SimpleFX
  • BitcoinVN
  • Bipa
  • Boltz
  • Kollider
  • LN Markets
  • Tauros

I excluded Paxful because it is no more existing.

As for Coinbase, then they already made a statement a couple of weeks ago about it if I'm not mistaken. They have plans to integrate it.
I read about it too. This is a link about it:
Coinbase CEO says Bitcoin Lightning is 'something we’ll integrate'

They don't even call it WBTC (which is on ETH) or anything else, but straight BTC!
And they have two of them!
Binance has more than two, it has three. Binance has:

  • BEP20 (BSC)
  • BEP2 (BNB Beacon Chain)
  • ERC20
2095  Other / Meta / Scam accusation of a gambling site on: April 23, 2023, 04:09:44 PM
I have seen some members on this forum that reported gambling sites on gambling main board before, but some users on this forum posted that they should move the thread to scam accusation board. For me, I think the thread about allegation against a gambling site can also be on gambling main board where most gamblers on this forum can see it too, not necessarily about it to be in scam accusation board, but if it is in scam accusation board, there is no problem.

In short, what I am saying is that allegation against a gambling site can also be on the main gambling board or am I wrong? Answer from a moderator would be much appreciated.
2096  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading without fees on: April 23, 2023, 03:18:50 PM
Are there any promotions for spot trading without fees currently?

I think sometimes there are promotions that offer spot trading without commissions for the btc usdt pair or eth usdt pair
Check out this one from Binance: https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/updates-on-zero-fee-bitcoin-trading-busd-zero-maker-fee-promotion-be13a645cca643d28eab5b9b34f2dc36
Quote
Fellow Binancians,

Binance will update the zero-fee Bitcoin trading program and BUSD zero maker fee promotion, effective from 2023-03-22 00:00 (UTC).
Validity Period: 2023-03-22 00:00 (UTC) until further notice

Such program is to attract people to be more actively trading but if you fail to realize that the more actively you are trading, the more likely you will get more loss by losing control on your mind, greed and you will more easily to be trapped by the market. If you fail to stop trading when you are uncertain about the market, but continue trading because you think you won't be charged trading fee. You will be charged more learning fee by the market.

I did not see anything like zero trading fee for spot trading on Binance again. It was introduced many months ago, but I am not seeing that again.

The spot trading for BTC/TUSD pair is the zero trading fee that I know of on Binance now.

2097  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 23, 2023, 07:14:38 AM
Other reputable casinos is adjusting bonuses based on the season and market situation. I’m not a player on Stake but probably their bonuses is just not profitable for the business side. Blackjack.fun increased their rakeback few months ago until and adding VIP benefits. I think it’s just an adjustment on the Stake side and one or 2 casino doesn’t speak for the gambling industry.
What if the casino is getting bigger and only looking for the profit side? It can be in a way that they have noticed high number of customers and prefer to reduce their promotional offers instead.

Or maybe it is because of what you think too, but the best answer would be from the company itself which is Stake, although if the gambling site is truthful about it.
2098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going down day after day right now on: April 22, 2023, 04:29:38 PM
Why is BTC going down like it does the last days? Straight down.. Down around 10% (?)
From around 30K to around 27K.
Bitcoin even increased above $31000.

Even during the bull run days, you can see bitcoin fall and rise but rise more than the fall. I am not saying you should be expecting that for now.

Bitcoin was below $17000 when this year started and yet $10000 more till now, it is still not bad.

Do you guys think it will turn the other way soon and go straight up again or will it keep going down?
I thinked this year would be a good BTC year and i still think it will be! But I did not see this coming to be honest.
Nobody knows if bitcoin will rise or fall, but if you are holding, you can continue to hold because all-time-high is coming probably before next 2 or 3 years.

Like I said, bitcoin was below $17000 in the begging of this year, now still at $27000, it is still not negative.
2099  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lets Brain storm on how to limit losses... on: April 22, 2023, 03:55:56 PM
What led to your major loss in the market as for me it was staying too long on a trade i was making good profit before it turned all red and while waiting for the market to finish the correction moves i ended up losing everything.  How about you?
High leverage affected me in the past. If I had used low or no leverage, I would have gained as the market correct itself to the position that I took.

Assuming I have $500 to trade, I can go for more than 10 to 20x leverage. Market may continue to favour me, but when it does not favour, my money got liquidated. What do follow the liquidation is market correction in a way the position I took is what that the market would follow in a way I would have gained, but high leverage affected me.

Just like in gambling, chasing losses is what that is mostly dangerous, because that is the time poor mind builds up and making wrong decision that can make the losses get more further, so it is like that in trading too. Revenge trading only lead more losses.

Sometimes, I supposed to use longer duration analysis, but using shorter durations like 15 minutes for analysing the market can result to losses at times. There are times that 1 hour, 4 hours or 1 day charts would be better. But scalpers will depend on shorter durations though.

Irrespective of that mistake we made, we should not trade with the amount of money we can not afford to lose.
2100  Economy / Gambling / Re: A reminder for gamblers to avoid FortuneJack (ongoing lawsuit, 120k usd stolen) on: April 21, 2023, 10:38:07 AM
Since you already posted this in your accusation against FortuneJack in the scam section you don't have to create this kind of discussion you just have to update the threat for any development of the case since you cannot provide details of the court proceeding, because if you provide it, the court may contempt you so if the hearing is ongoing then give us an update when there's already a resolution or people will think that you are just creating FUDS and you are just inventing this court proceeding.
That is about scam accusation, this is about lawsuit, they are different. But what I see not good is that nothing like lawsuit yet but posting about here. Let us see how it goes, if truly there would be a lawsuit against ForjuneJack, there would not be another thread created about it. But we should know that scam accusation and lawsuit are worth separate threads.
