2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 19, 2021, 10:22:45 PM
Spending a ton of money for a player is not really a priority for many teams right now because they didn't made a good profit (and most of them lost a great deal) because of the pandemic. It means transfers like Mbappe is a pipe dream by the fans right now, not that it can't be done, it could have been done right now as we speak if we never had pandemic, but because of lack of funding it is harder right now and that is why I do not think that it could be done that easily.
This is why I believe there is a good chance no team makes any transfers above 100+ million levels (which mbappe would have been very easily), there is an exception for Chelsea which can buy Haaland if Dortmund agrees to sell, but that is only because they are the team that won the most, 4th in premier league, finalist in fa cup, winner of ucl, all of those equals a ton of money.
I don't think it will be a lump sum, especially given the current difficult coronavirus times and falling revenues from the TV market. Therefore, the deal can be drawn up with tranches for several years, and other players can also be included in the deal. By the way, I think that Real Madrid would be happy to buy Mbappe for 100 million euros, because this is a very good price for a player, given his playing level and marketing potential, so the club will find this amount for a deal anyway. Moreover, as far as I understand, UEFA has decided to allow Real Madrid to play in the Champions League, which is important for the club financially.

Sergio Ramos will leave Real Madrid, where he will end? in another top team or in MLS?
Honestly I do not see Ramos doing anything substantial anymore, dude wasn't a bad player even on his last season, but he wasn't good enough to play in any meaningful team, and instead of going to some midtable team or even low rank team, it would be wiser to go to a place like USA, Qatar, China or whatever because those nations will give him the most money.
I get that it is not easy to accept that fate and move on but that is what you should be doing if you are no longer that good, I get that it is psychologically a horrible thing because you have been one of the best defenders in the whole world for 15 years and then suddenly someone tells you to go to china to get paid otherwise you will not be wanted, that is of course a big change and it of course is a terrible feeling. But at the end of the day he is not as good as he used to be so he just has to accept it and move on.
I don't quite understand what you expected to see in Sergio Ramos ' game. The level of his game is still quite high, Ramos himself knows about it and this is partly why the failure in the negotiations on the extension of the contract, when the player still feels strong and his level, and the club wants to hedge and save on the services of an aging player. I think that Ramos will still find his club in Europe for two seasons, another question is whether the future club will be ready to meet the financial ambitions of the player, yet not all clubs can pay such large sums as Real Madrid pays.
2083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 17, 2021, 11:39:48 PM
Denmark started first half extremely impressive but Belgium made a great comeback in second half. Roberto Martinez did substitutions right on time, Hazard and de Bruyne changed the game. Their appearance positively affect Lukaku's game too. Belgium showed how they are one of the contenders. People watched Denmark with a sympathy though it looks like this tournament is over for them.
Yes it was a wonderful first half they played very well and scored early in the game but unfortunatly for them they lost like the first game i think its due to the inexperience of some players and the manager decisions on the other hand belgium coatching was amazing they won the game  because of it.
It's just that Belgium has not yet shown all the potential that it is capable of, but the most important thing is that all this is enough to achieve the desired result, that is, to win. Denmark played well in the first half, but it was clearly felt that Belgium was not playing at the maximum and de Bruyne's exit in the second half completely turned the situation 180 degrees. However, such an economical game mode can play a cruel joke with Belgium, when you need to squeeze the maximum out of yourself, and the team will not be able to quickly rebuild the game mode, which could well happen today, if Denmark suddenly equalized at the end of the game, and there would be no time left.
2084  Economy / Economics / Re: George Soros and Bezos have paid almost zero taxes on: June 17, 2021, 11:27:36 PM
may sound like your typical conspiracy theory but considering how these people can get away with just about anything due to their money and influence, it wouldn't be too far stretched to believe that some if not all, are the ones who sponsored politicians behind the scenes and put them in place so that these billionaires can control them at will.
It does sounds like a silly conspiracy theory. These people are not getting away with it , in fact they are giving more to the society. Look, the fact that they employed alot of people and keep on expanding their business to employ alot more actually benefit the country alot more compare with giving raw cash in form of taxes. It will takes years for the government to use that money to build some company that would benefit people by employing them.
Everybody should do their fair share for the country and these guys literally have done theirs which is why the country favours them by giving them better treatment.
This is not a conspiracy theory, but quite an everyday reality, especially since in the United States of America lobbying is quite an official activity and you can quite officially read what articles of laws corporations spent money on in their lobbying activities among legislators. Also, let's distinguish between the activities of corporations for the benefit or harm of the economy and how the top officials of these corporations pay taxes on their tens and hundreds of billions of dollars of income. We should not idealize them to such an extent, we just need to be realistic and understand what an unfair world we live in at times.
2085  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: June 17, 2021, 11:10:37 PM
In my very own opinion, Money is really the root of all evil in this world. Let's start with money can buy everything that is tangible here on earth as well as people. Money can buy the dignity and trust of a person because that is the practice today and what I am seeing. Another thing is that money is the root of evil as what people say because of discontentment of a person and him/she have the money then he can buy everything in this world and even do bad things thru the use of money. There's a lot you can do with money so that it is really the root of all evil.
Then what is the problem, cancel money and evil will disappear in this world by itself  Wink Money itself can not serve as a source and root of evil, because money is just an instrument in the economic activity of the state and citizens and in itself they are neutral. It is only in the process of social interaction that both positive features of the use of money and negative features begin to manifest themselves. Cancel the money and grateful humanity will still find other ways to bring evil to themselves and others  Grin
2086  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: June 17, 2021, 10:59:47 PM
And asking out on the world doesnt have have poverty? This is a problem that cant really be resolved. There would be always those people who are on the peak,
Wherever you see people's poverty, rest assured that there are corrupt government. When all government are not involved in corruption, poverty is much lower. It is true that there is always someone up and there is always someone down. However, it would be very unfortunate if developed countries also have poor people.
There is no direct correlation between corruption and poverty. In any state, there is a conflict of interests between the public interests and the private interests of the citizen, and the larger the gap in the level of income of the population, the more obvious the facts of corruption will look, but corruption itself is inevitable in any modern models of government, the whole question is only in the scale of the phenomenon. In the same way, we can talk about poverty. If there are different levels of wealth and income, then wealth and poverty are inevitable. We can only try to smooth out their levels, but no more.

We met with remote work. Many companies announced that they will continue to work remotely even after normalization. this will save them a lot of expense.
But many companies too that they cannot allow their employees to continue or prolong the work at home setup.
Just like Amazon or it's just some news that has to bring some FUD. I think that those companies that have provided a work from home setup should maintain it if it's not sacrificing the productivity of the company.
And as well as the worker.
The most important factor in business is efficiency, and if remote work brings more profit, then it will become more widespread, because these are the laws of economics. Another question is that all this has its limits and the end of the coronavirus epidemic does not mean that now everyone will hit the remote mode of operation and everything will remain the same. Corporate ethics and working hours have not been canceled. A person is a social being and he needs direct physical interaction with colleagues at work, and no messengers and video conferences can replace this.
2088  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and happiness. on: June 17, 2021, 10:34:04 PM
Money gives you financial freedom. This means your mind will be in a relaxed state. With a person without money, his mind will be always thinking of making money for his next day's food. This way money is an object that has got the ability to keep a person away from financial problems.
When we talk of happiness, it is all about love and care. Maybe one can buy an expensive car for his friend, but here receiving friend's mind isn't about the car. His expectation might be a small hug, so the expensive car doesn't make him happy but the small hug makes him happy.
Money is object based and happiness is all about inner feeling.
Even though you say that happiness is an inner feeling, but this inner feeling is still based on external factors Wink Although of course all this is strictly individual and you can be terribly unhappy having a lot of money, but being afraid to lose it or not being able to spend it adequately to be happy. Or, on the contrary, enjoy small things with little money and be absolutely happy from other factors, such as family life. All the same, everything is relative and a person quickly gets used to the good and begins to envy when white, and when black envy other people who have more money and becoming unhappy.
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 14, 2021, 02:37:54 PM
Dortmund has a good scout team and they find good alternatives for their players. In the last 10 years, Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are the best clubs in replacements for their star forwards and strikers.
Dortmund lost Lewandowski, they found Aubameyang. Sold Aubameyang, they have Haaland.
Atletico Madrid lost Diego Forlan, Kun Aguero, they found Falcao, Diego Costa, Griezman, etc.
I think Dortmund will again find another good player to replace Haaland but it will only show they are not to ambitious to win titles. What they focus is having a position on the top and sell players as most expensive as possible to enrich their balance sheet.

That's right, this is the policy of the club, what the management is aiming at. Dortmund uses the club for business, they buy young and promising players, educate them, make them stars and sell them for big money. You can't become a champion with such a strategy, it's just business.
A similar business recently almost sent Monaco to the lower league. I understand everything perfectly, and each club finds its own niche, but such a technology can not endlessly give results and train or buy players only for the sake of subsequent sales should not be the goal of a club pursuing serious goals, because the players themselves will come to the club as a temporary option for a career. Although, of course, it is difficult to keep a player of Haaland's level when the grandees open the hunt for him.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 14, 2021, 02:24:16 PM
It's better that Uncle Zhang finds a way to finance Internazionale's transfer market. If I'm not mistaken, the market in Italy officially opens on July 1st. If Zhang doesn't move to give certainty to his top players, Inter next year will be a mid-table team. And I have been optimistic.
Uncle Zhang has disbanded his Chinese club, the reigning champion of China, so I wouldn't count much on cash injections in this direction. According to the financial report published by the club, Inter lost 120 million euros last season, which is one of the largest figures in Europe. In addition, for five years, the club's transfer balance from the purchase and sale of players is minus 352 million euros, and Inter's salary list for the same five years has inflated by 74 million euros, which is the most in Serie A. Therefore, the situation is difficult and it will be good if the club stays afloat and solves its financial problems at least a little.

Russell wants 2022 plans to get sorted as soon as possible. And there are rumours like Mercedes could decide to bring Russell in the place of Bottas even before the end of the season. I'd really like to see Russell becoming a Mercedes driver very soon. So I hope that they make a decision in this direction.
Yes, the rumours about Russell replacing Bottas are hotting up. I think in large part because of Bottas' poor performance in the last race. The Mercedes hasn't been great for the last two races, but Hamilton nearly won in Azerbaijan, whereas Bottas was nowhere.
Mercedes have Hamilton fighting for the drivers championship, which is fine. But they need their second driver to pull in enough points so that they win the constructors title too. The moment it looks like they're not going to win the constructors is the moment they start to seriously think about letting Bottas go.
As for whether they'd make the change mid-season, I don't think so. It would be at the end of the season. Mercedes have made comments before - and quite recently - that they don't change drivers mid-season, 'other' teams do that (a clear dig at Red Bull).
Bottas said he has the next round of talks with Mercedes next month. I don't think Mercedes will do a Red Bull-style castling of drivers in the middle of the season, but I think there will be clarity for next season. Let's not forget that the poor results in recent races have shaken the position of not only Bottas, but also Hamilton. No one in their right mind would turn down Hamilton's services as a Mercedes driver, but the focus in the negotiating positions has shifted clearly not in favor of Lewis, who already agrees to a salary cut, but wants a doubling of the bonus for the championship.
2092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 14, 2021, 01:37:57 PM
As expected, we were really bad against England yesterday. They did not do anything special as well, but were good enough for a comfortable win. Our inability to create any meaningful chances and to put teams under pressure has been present for a while already, we will really have to improve soon if we want to pass the group.
Sterling became the decisive victory for England. The opening match in Group D, I'm glad my guess was almost right by 1 margin for England. It's actually kind of boring to watch them, they play slowly so it's like not interesting Their ball possession is the same.
The result is a good provision for England because they have 3 points and lead the temporary standings. Next they will play Scotland on June 19th, I hope they win again.
On the one hand, it seems to be a well-deserved victory for the England team, on the other hand, the final score with a minimum advantage of one goal allows for a lot of variations, in one of which Croatia could even the score Wink However, there was also a goal post for Sterling and an open shot for Kane. You can certainly hope for a victory over Scotland, but we must take into account that Scotland can have an exorbitant mood for this match, and in one single match anything can happen. All the more so as Scotland again qualified for the European Championship for the first time in 25 years. So England also need to take the match seriously.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 14, 2021, 01:22:53 PM
If I were them I would get rid of Benzema right now when he can still provide a tad bit and get a super young talent, like Haaland is talked for Chelsea and I believe Real could try to chase him down as well, 150 million is a ton of cash but if they could manage to get it, they would be unstoppable for a few more years easily.
Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are indeed good options for Real Madrid, but to be able to get one of the two is not an easy matter. Both players have a very high transfer price and both are being targeted by many big clubs. Besides that, as the new coach replacing Zidane, Carlo Ancelotti must have had his own list. If these two players are included in Ancelotti's list, it is likely that Real Madrid will insist on pursuing them. But if it's not on Ancelotti's list, then I think Ancelotti already has other good options.
In any case, Real Madrid will continue to hunt for these players and try to buy them, even though Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are on Ancelotti's list, even though they are not on this list, because this is already a matter of the club's prestige and a powerful object for subsequent marketing and future income. And I don't think Ancelotti will give up working with Haaland and Mbappe for the players on his list. Another question is that the simultaneous purchase of these forwards can hardly be discussed, even for a club like Real Madrid, especially in the current financial realities.
2094  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador plan to make BTC legal tender on: June 14, 2021, 01:05:55 PM
should there be an example of success for a country that has adopted BTC? Isn't there already a Venezuelan country that several years ago experienced severe inflation that made the country's economy crumble? but it is the people themselves who are trying to find a solution by switching to cryptocurrency digital currency. in fact if there is research on it then there will be bright hope for BTC in the future.
Venezuela is still sticking with its shitty national currency (Bolivar), right? Bitcoin has no official status in Venezuela, despite being widely used for day to day activities. The government still sustains itself by printing Bolivar in huge quantities. First of all, they need some Forex reserve in their hand, to make some other currency as the legal tender. And right now the treasury and the forex reserves are empty. From what I have heard, the government tolerates the usage of cryptocurrency, and as far as I am concerned, that is good enough.
Venezuela is a bit of a separate story, when political chaos, fueled in every possible way from the outside, is accompanied by economic chaos plus a difficult situation with oil revenues. When the central government is either afraid or unable to take control of the state's economic policy. In principle, with such a weak central government, it is difficult to talk about any economic policy and it is possible to declare any currency official without any real consequences. Therefore, I wish El Salvador every success in promoting bitcoin, but I do not think that this is a case that can be used as a successful example for everyone in the future.
2095  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk of Inflation in Economy. on: June 14, 2021, 12:24:13 PM
0,6 in May 2021
Un-adjusted 12 month ended May 2021 5%
Annual rythm in 2021 so far : 6,7%
It is very high numbers.
From what I heard, the M1 monetary supply within the United States increased by 100% plus. So it is natural to have higher inflation numbers. Actually I am surprised to see such low numbers. I would expect the inflation rate to be in double digits by now. Perhaps the impact of the higher monetary supply takes a while to be reflected in the market. But I am sure about one thing. With Democrats in power until 2025 January, the inflation is not going to get any lower now. Within the next 4 years, I expect an annual inflation in double digits and federal debt of around $50 trillion.
It's just that not all this money is splashing out on the commodity market and the crazy growth of bitcoin and Tesla shares are events of the same order. In any case, the state was left with no other such affordable and easy choice than the policy of monetary stimulation of the economy. We can only speculate on the extent to which this should have been done, but it is the direction of economic policy that neither the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party has raised any questions. Even Janet Yellen, who was not an ardent supporter of the policy of quantitative easing, now talks in the style of if you can print, then why not.
2096  Economy / Economics / Re: How to protect from inflation? on: June 14, 2021, 12:00:53 PM
Since we are in a Bitcoin forum, it is normal to think that the best protection against inflation is Bitcoin. And it is not that it is (only) a distorted thought, the (short) history of the Bitcoin proves it to us.
Then there are other things that are debatable. Gold today is not bad, but if most of the money that is invested in gold goes to Bitcoin, it will not serve to protect much. That's what has happened this past year.
NASDAQ 100, OK. I prefer the S&P 500 which is more diversified in sectors. The NASDAQ 100 has been more profitable than the S&P 500 in recent years but that can change at any time.
Then I also miss good, well-located, Real State on that list.
The short history of bitcoin definitely does not prove it's a good hedge against inflation.  Bitcoin is down nearly 50% since the beginning of May.  When was the last time the dollar was down 50% in a matter of weeks?  Never.  You can't hedge 2% inflation losses with an assets that routinely swings 20% or more in a single day.
I am afraid that the day when bitcoin suddenly becomes a real protection against inflation will be the last day for many forum users when they invest in bitcoin Grin Because the hundreds of percent of the profit that attracts many neophytes to the market will disappear. Many people here are happy to tell you what profits bitcoin brings, while culturally keeping silent about what losses it previously brought. Therefore, if you want to protect your money from inflation, then think 100 times about whether it is worth using bitcoin for this, with its high volatility, as well as information and political risks.
2097  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: June 14, 2021, 11:30:00 AM
Yes, because of Covid pandemic, a lot of things had changed. Many people now are working online and also enter in crypto world. From a traditional work of   8 to 12 hours a day, always looking for time so as not to get caught up in work, and huddled in the car in the middle of traffic. Now, working from home, without limit, without hassle, and sitting in front of your computer, you are able to earn huge money. That is just a few changes caused of covid 19 pandemic.
Although I salute all the positive changes to the economy that happened during the past months, I don't think that the emerged possibility of working without limit is a good one, and I want to warn against it(at least those who read this text). Indeed, working much longer than usual can provide you with much more income than before in the short term, but "in the short term" is the keyword here. Taking time to relax from your work is very important, both for your health and the effectiveness of your work. In the long term overworking can be very harmful. Be careful with that.
Oh, yes, remote work from an undoubted good can turn into a curse from which there is no escape, which will take away your free time, which in other conditions you would have spent on recreation or self-education. It is one thing when you arrive from an industrial enterprise or office and become left to yourself, and quite another when you are constantly at home and family with household chores must somehow be combined with work issues. Therefore, it is not necessary to exaggerate the role of remote work and understand that the traditional scheme of professional activity has its advantages.
2098  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: June 14, 2021, 11:19:12 AM
I absolutely agree with all of them. The world is no longer the old world. Life and habits are changing. I have slightly different views on the Chinese economy. I believe that they deliberately released the virus while the whole world was sinking and used it for their own benefit.
You're free to believe what you want to believe in but that doesn't mean that your belief is right. It doesn't really matter if they release it though, people have coped really fast to the pandemic so I don't think that they are that successful if their plan was to debilitate a lot of economy.
China is very dependent on foreign economic activity and foreign trade, so you have to have a very rich and perverted imagination to accuse China of deliberate activities related to the coronavirus. Also, the Chinese authorities are very tough on some issues, including those related to the fight against coronavirus, which at times are not compatible with democracy and human rights, but are very effective. Still, China is still a very closed state in terms of information from other states, so all sorts of conspiracy theories continue to move around our planet.
2099  Economy / Economics / Re: Xi Jinping Beats Crypto, Bitcoin Mine Closes on: June 14, 2021, 11:05:33 AM
The closure of Bitcoin mining farms in China as a prelude to FUDs to reduce the value of BTC, but that does not mean that Bitcoin will go down and lose value, it is just news. aim to reduce the value of BTC briefly as they have done this many times before.
Sounds like another conspiracy theory. Even if there is any truth with this, it didn't turned out as expected. Bitcoin exchange rates are up by 12% for the last 24 hours and the prices have touched $39,000 per coin. The Bitcoin dominance has also gone up, and that figure is close to 45% now. The reaction from the market suggests that there is hardly any impact from the China FUD. The prices are being driven by the hype around Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador. And I won't be surprised with that. It is one of the most significant milestones for BTC till date.
Maybe the market is already tired of reacting to news that brings little positive? Wink The news about El Salvador and bitcoin is quite positive, but given the size of the economy of El Salvador, I am not sure that this news is decisive in the current exchange rate dynamics. Not the most optimistic news from the People's Republic of China has long been played out by the market and the struggle of the Chinese authorities with mining simply begins to lead to the flow of mining capacity from China to other countries, which is probably why such news is not so fatal for the current market.
2100  Economy / Economics / Re: what makes us good investors. on: June 14, 2021, 10:53:53 AM
In my opinion, the reason why we are good investors is because we are making profit out of our investments and we believe in it's potential to go up in the near future.
While believing in our investment is important, we also need to be critical about positions. If we are top optimistic  then we could get burned in a sell off. In my opinion the most important thing a good investor has is analytical thinking. Looking at new information and not being biased by our emotions.
You just need to believe in yourself, and not just in any investment or any asset. Excessive doubts in their actions will not benefit in such a case, and it is necessary to be consistent in their actions and strategies. However, excessive self-confidence is also harmful and you need to find the strength to close or reduce unprofitable positions before they lead to even greater losses. But all this comes with experience and the bitterness of defeat also sobers and makes you relate your intentions to your capabilities.
