2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose an online casino? on: September 14, 2022, 05:10:09 PM
I think it's a shame that people are wasting their time and money on casino games. It's such a waste of money, and there are so many other things you could be doing with it! I'm not saying that you should never play a casino game, but I think that if you're going to play them at all, you should only do it in moderation. You don't want to end up spending all night in front of your screen when you could be out having fun with friends or family!

Why are you so sad? It doesnt cost you to give a recommendation or reply when someone asked a question. It is up to people how they choose to live their own life, we have some people who are introverts, they prefer to have conversations online than to see people in public places, that's their way of life and they enjoyed them without people.

Well established Casinos today are quite different from the ones you see in classic ones, they are fun and if I recall very well, they even have a place where you can interact with people and chat with others, they also have Discord servers where you see people communicating daily and asked after one another anytime they don't see them online.
2082  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: September 14, 2022, 04:47:44 PM
I think that casino is like a sport event or cinema. You pay money for emotions, for fun. When i go gambling i decide before it that this money i spend. If i win smth - it is just additional bonus, additional emotions.
And if someone wants to get money for life from casino - it is a big mistake, often it means that this man will lose all his money without any result.

The first gambling thumb rule is to never depend on the outcome of your bets, doing so will seriously harm both you and your plans. Imagine betting your school money on something bigger in the hopes of getting more, if it doesn't work out as planned, you'll probably regret it and start engaging in addictive behaviours.
If you practice and perfect your betting technique while playing for pleasure and you win a lot, take that as your lucky day. However, doing the opposite without any skills to get money out of gambling is suicide to financial life.

This is the same view that I hold as well, that is what they are for and casinos tell you that directly, they are for entertainment purposes and anyone thinking about making a fortune with them is probably going to end up being incredibly disappointed by the results they get, after all we need to think about this by being rational, a casino exist to provide a service and any business is looking to make money as a result of providing that service, if they instead lost money to the gamblers then it will be impossible for them to remain in business for long which is against what they want to achieve, so it is the gamblers that have to lose money for the casino to remain in business.

Casinos will advise you to bet for fun because that is how they are allowed to operate; if they advise you to play to win a fortune, gaming houses will be packed with people queuing up out of greed, and naturally, more than 80% of them will lose. Gambling is actually for fun if one plays without putting their greed before them.

2083  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: September 14, 2022, 04:14:38 PM
All I know is that gambling could be described as what it is by people personally. The question is are you gambling responsively or not? These question should be able to settle a lot of misunderstandings about gambling.

If bet houses and casinos can get licences, then it must have been reason through and fro before any government could grant that kind of wish. It is your responsibility to gamble the way you like as long as you are above 18+, you have no problem with anyone or to be judged the way you gamble.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with gambling, it might be addictive too but the industry grew this much because people want to associate with something. You cannot be going to parties, or cinemas or watch football every day, some people do not even like some of the listed ones, gambling is their option. So, gambling will be surely ethical and healthy for the person that is not addicted to it but has it entertaining and keeps their company.

You see mate, everything in life has an optimum level, people can go over length just to prove something. Gambling is a probability and risk that involves money but the pathetic ones will always go overboard and this thing doesnt just don't happen in gambling alone, it happens in other parts of life, even the crypto we have today, there are thousands of investors who have enjoyed big profits from the bull run and there are others who have lost heavily and still called crypto scam investments, it is their mistake and should deal with it for failing to buy at the bottom.
2084  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: September 14, 2022, 03:54:54 PM
Ah, finally my first post  Cheesy. If you click any casino link on that website, just watch the address bar and you will see very long strange-looking links - these are affiliate links. The intention is very clear and simple, the topic starter is an affiliate and will get depending on the deal either a revenue share from every customer or maybe even a flat fee. So this is purely commercial and likely, cause the brands are no names generate no value.

The links appear precisely as you saw them, nice caught! If Op is doing a genuine list of well reputable casinos that accept crypto deposits and ends up generating nonsense lists, something shady is going on. He truly wants to produce a nice list and not a single casino from this forum that has tasted the time of reputation with people is on that page, I can't say if I have seen any of the name casinos he organizes on that page, they don't have an announcement thread here, no single support or representative, and he stated they are trustworthy. I would encourage everyone to avoid the casinos listed.
2085  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: September 13, 2022, 11:46:14 PM
Addiction is quite danger, but it is possible to stay within the limits. Around the World most of the suicides were taking place out of money problem and this is not just about gambling money.

Sometimes, an addicted person needs Isolation and attention that should be carefully examined either gambling or non-gambling, a gambler who is addicted may want to stay out of the limit but if they found their self in some situations they cannot control, they will definitely go back. Take, for instance, a gambler that has borrowed money from different people, especially loan sharks who always threaten their customers who don't return the money.

Quote
Gambling in some cases have helped them recover from financial struggle and in some cases it have made them go deep into financial problems. Until we don't have our control gambling is not the choice of entertainment for anyone.

Gambling is relative though, there are some gamblers who went from little financial struggle and still end up crying out because they encounter another financial struggle that is more than the first one.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: September 13, 2022, 11:33:59 PM
Some people will remember this. Epic Games once gave Grand Theft Auto 5 as a gift to everyone. And I remember many people exploited it, created new accounts and sold those gta5 copies to people who are unaware its already free. So I mean when you give people opportunity they will definitely exploit. Its not something about gambling or gambler nature or mentality. Websites should close possible loopholes. They are to blame.
You give people a free access and yet it is still your fault because they took advantage of that? It’s just like you give people bread everyday and yet they sold if to other people in exchange of money I guess you are wrong here.

If there’s a bonus abuse most probably the gambler is the one to blame here, the site never encourage you to abuse it and that is really agains their policy so let’s not blame them that you become greedy because you saw the opportunity, if something bad happen to you that is because of your fault.

Whatever the case may be, if you are giving a bonus to take one and you take more than that, that is definitely abuse. Even by analogy, taking more than what was prescribed for you by a doctor is abuse to yourself. If one is given a chance to enjoy some benefits, you don't go extreme trying to outsmart what they are doing, the greed may not allow others to benefit because you took it all by yourself. If a bonus with policy is set to less than or equal to 1 per person, one should never exceed that.

History always has it that Arsenal always find it hard to penetrate through Liverpool but now that Mane who always create a chance for them is gone, who knows they can protect their defences and focus on attack, Tottenham is the same, it is not a team they can flip with goals.

Liverpool are not as strong as Arsenal this season, so there is a chance that Arsenal will defeat Liverpool, even though history shows that Liverpool always look very hard to be defeated by Arsenal; this season, the story will change because Mikel Arteta's Team are very ready to compete and restore Arsenal's dignity.

I can't help but laugh. Are you opposing my motion because you support Arsenal or because you believe Arteta can miraculously turn the match around? No doubt, Arsenal is the new talk of the league table, but trust me, they won't go far, when you need them the most, they usually disappoint, and they play great when no one cares.
We have had a week without a match, the following week will be exciting, and I am looking forward to seeing what they play against Brentford on Saturday. I expect a straight win and would love to have this risk on the bookie.
2088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 13, 2022, 08:33:43 PM
arsenal has a target stop in the top 4 is very reasonable IMO. Arsenal's opponent in the EPL match is Brentford and most likely arsenal will win but after that arsenal will face Tottenham and Liverpool, I'm not sure if arsenal will be able to maintain their position in the standings while man city continues to follow from behind with great potential to shift arsenal's position.

Looking at what they have played in the past season, it will be a bonus point for Arsenal when they meet with Brentford and it could also be a draw line if they fight hard because of what they did to Manchester United last few weeks, besides it is their home, they wouldn't want to be shamefully defeated by any team.
History always has it that Arsenal always find it hard to penetrate through Liverpool but now that Mane who always create a chance for them is gone, who knows they can protect their defences and focus on attack, Tottenham is the same, it is not a team they can flip with goals.
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 13, 2022, 07:31:41 PM

Yes, it should have been done by Ancelotti before the transfer window closed. But as we can see, he only entered a few names. He barely signed the players that Real Madrid usually did in previous seasons.
It's true with Real Madrid's current squad they are an extraordinary club. But as you said, they should prepare second-tier players in case something untoward happens to their core squad. It's possible that the current players are enough and better, but in fact we only see the real form of their game.
At the beginning of last season, there was a lot of talk about how Real Madrid did not work well in the transfer market, that they had problems with attacking, but in the end, Real Madrid will have a great season. Based on the game and the results of Real Madrid, it is now difficult to say that they have any problems. Real Madrid also works very well with young players, Vinicius has become a confident player in the base and scores consistently.

Everyone always has a say in the team even when they know exactly what they are doing. Despite the critics, Real Madrid only signed Rudiger and Tchouameni to their defence and midfield, did that change anything? No! maybe positive. They are still in the form despite selling Casemiro who was their previous one time biggest midfield to Manchester United. In fact, that was a smooth deal because what they sold was bigger than what they bought and they are having straight winning of 5 matches without conceding any to any team, what is big is already big and nothing can change that for now in Laliga  Tongue
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: September 12, 2022, 10:34:07 PM

It was so surprising Manchester United lose the game to Sociedad,  after playing a beautiful against arsenal in the English premier league.  Manchester united defeating arsenal made many people believe that as they play their first europa game it will be a victory for them.
Manchester United were actually on form but they always find it very difficult to play against Spanish team, because they always have a supposing result, as they have against Atlantico Madrid in the last UEFEA Champions league. But it is certain that Manchester United will qualify for the group stage and will go far in the Europa League.

Could this imply that the Spanish leagues are getting bigger and better? Manchester United are actually in good form, but the way they played, Real Sociedad is way ahead of Manchester United right now, but they can do better if they keep up the way they played their last three matches and bench Ronaldo, Maguire, and Casemiro as I don't understand their presence in the league, Maguire Particularly.

Manchester United has played 6 matches all throughout the group stage and still has 1/6 matches to go. I'm curious to see what they'll be showing off this week with the way they were all jumping in training.
2091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: September 12, 2022, 10:14:58 PM
every promotion carried out by gambling sites has a large enough abuse loophole and it's not just 1 or 2 gambling sites that have experienced this. it's difficult for gambling sites to prevent this, especially those that don't require KYC, the gap for abuse is getting bigger, the problem is that gambling sites that require KYC will be deserted because people prefer non-KYC. the conclusion is that no one is to blame!!

Not that I endorse KYC implementation on any platform, however, only a casino that wants its gambling ground to be overrun with bots would offer large promotions on a non-KYC casino, most of the time, they only offer free spins in those kinds of casinos, which they know they can control, rather than a welcome bonus, which will be heavily abused.
Implementing KYC may limit the usage of bots, but it may also be misused since KYC can be manipulated. We have people who buy other people's information to pass KYC, and they may even pay others to conduct KYC for them if they don't want any company invading their privacy.

Good news from the EPL, that this weekend's match will be resumed again after we know it will be postponed due to respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II but there are several matches that have been postponed Chelsea vs Liverpool, Man United vs Leeds and also Brighton vs Palace, there are matches Others will continue this week.

Source: https://www.premierleague.com/news/2788625

Yes, I think this is good news, especially since so many matches have been postponed for no good reason. In the end, the world has to go on as it always has. It is sad to hear what happened. In spite of that, there is a lot of money on the line when those matches take place. It is also going to be a good thing for fans as well. As far as I am concerned, this is a good decision. Otherwise, I am sure that there would have been some more results that would not have made any sense whatsoever.

I'm glad it ended sooner than the original schedule of 2 weeks off because I don't like when we have outstanding matches and now imagine what will happen 2 weeks without Premier League, I prefer when we all have it when it's hot and not rescheduling matches that may not be in the best interests of the others.
The revenue earned in the Premier League would not alter per se, the stadiums all have tickets that can be sold for the entire season or for a specific match, and even if they are postponed, fans would still buy the ticket to watch, generating the same money.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 11, 2022, 09:03:03 PM

Honestly if you are defending mainly and you get scored on twice then you weren't defending that well to begin with. Defensive strategy is built upon not getting scored and hopefully having a counter attack that you could score on. This time around they ended up with something much worse and failed to defend and all of that strategy was for nothing. If they did attack from the start then they could have maybe win this game but they failed to realize this fact and that caused a bit of a trouble. Its just one game, they learned something from this at least.

I feel that wasn't the case. Real Sociedad was trying to play the defensive style at the beginning but Getafe was doing the attack and making many chances and scored their 2 goals in a blink of an eye, upon realizing their mistake after the first half, they switch to attacking and luckily scored their the first goal and as soon as Getafe found out their mistake, they closed the opportunity for Real Sociedad, they activated defensive measures and played that way till the end of the match. The thing is sometimes, no matter the strategy you employed in every match, there are some teams that are quick to break them and that's what makes matches entertaining.

You could buy ecommerce [1]giftcards from sites like bitrefill ($1k/month without account and there are some other sites too which I have no personal experience of). Ofc they have some premium and if you were to sell these gift cards you would get 5-10% lower but could be helpful strategy in dire need.

I don't like gift cards for some reasons you just pointed out, those vendors who buy gift cards are somehow milking users with those discounts they buy. I once did a gig online and the company was having problems with their credit card funding the platform we were using, I had to wait for some days and after the period they promise passed by, they ask if they can pay me in gift card, I declined because I can't sell them at the value they gave it to me and the company wasn't ready to give me more than the price we agreed, they had no choice than to pay me in Bitcoin they previously didn't want to send.
2095  Other / Meta / Re: What's minor thing that you find appreciative on Bitcointalk? on: September 09, 2022, 04:41:32 PM
I have yet to find a public forum that provides an act of love and humanity anyplace on the internet like Bitcointalk. I've seen a lot of posts in this forum where people have donated money to help out suffering families, especially those who have lost loved ones in floods and war.  I have read through some trying times of corona threads and hundreds and thousands of dollars donated to locals through this forum. Where does this occur on the internet? Even the so-called Gofundme takes time for people to donate, but Bitcointalk members are always quick to respond to the problems of others and that gives me goosebumps, these show that people are kind regardless of our differences, Bitcointalk has proved it several times.

2097  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 09, 2022, 05:46:48 AM
CONCLUSION
Let's stop making money and fame the only measure for success. Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams. Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. Satisfaction and happiness is the true definition of success and anyone without this can not be declare as being successful.

One thing money, it brings people around you which brings you power, fame and respect but sometimes but these doesn't equate to being happy, it is possible to have all the money in this life and still battle with health problems, look at Chadwick Bossman who acted Blackpanther, he had the fame, not too rich but he was more than average and he was been paid well enough but what happens at the end of the day, he died of cancer because it is something money cannot do.
Look back when Barack Obama was the president of America, we all know how famous and fame as being the most powerful man in the world but his daughter then was making the media of drug abuse and failed to raise happy children, sometimes we can not control these things.
2098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 09, 2022, 05:22:23 AM
Bitcoin is indeed bringing changes to how a lot of things are being done, but on the part of fighting corruption in the government, I am yet to see any proof on that. I think a corrupt government still stays corrupt and wouldn’t be changed by bitcoin. If the people really wants to combat corruption in their country, then it is their duty to do so by voting in the right candidates for the job and also holding them accountable for the decisions they make.

Bitcoin doesn't fight corruption directly, it's a symbol of transparency and the government hates transparency because they feel the people will see everything they are doing. If the government adopt bitcoin as a means of payment, legally adopted within a country as a legal tender, the rate at which people will steal mass money will be cut down to zero. Imagine where the government allocated $4 million for a mass project, the wallet address is visible to be public and everyone else is seeing the balance, do you think they wouldn't hold public leaders accountable for missing funds, stealing will become difficult and corruption will become completely eradicated.
2099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat Banks Conspiracy Against Customers. Bitcoin is the Best Option on: September 09, 2022, 04:58:07 AM
The quick fix is bitcoin. The long term fix that also has to be done is be more careful what you vote for next time.

Have you forgotten Politicians? They can sweet talk and promise heaven on earth but we all know what comes after, it is there in every country.

I haven't. That's the vote I was talking about. Voting more carefully has the potential to get the country on the right track, just it can take many years and many disappointments.

Maybe in some other countries where things are working. In a country where everyone is trying to enrich their generation, where an average person called leaders been corrupt but ones giving a slight opportunity they do worse, where do you think the hope lies?
It takes years to get things right but I just think where there are too different ethnics difference might be so difficult, this is where Africa is facing backwardness in fighting corruption, religious difference, nepotism and Self-interest. In my country, We just have another 8 years wasted after lifting the hopes of many and it has killed the political interest in me totally, they are the same thing that keeps reminiscing the same promises.

You should come to see how dip the foreign reserves have destroyed the local currency, bitcoin has been the way for the youths to fight our lives till things get better if there is anything like that in the future.

The way Arteta Mikel benched the Premier League group and used a different squad for the Europa League impressed me as being incredibly smart. This opened up playing time for guys like Marquinhos, who this season scored his first goal since joining the team.
I have no idea how Arsenal maintains this level of energy while leading the Premier League and performing admirably in their first Europa League group stage. I wasn't satisfied with their first goal, and now Zurich has tied the score, but I still think they can win the match 3-1 based on the way they are currently playing.
