2081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an asset. on: April 03, 2023, 02:58:36 AM
Most of the replies here are saying that selling a property is a wrong move, and I am also one of them, but let's now focus on the fact that you already sold it and invested in bitcoin. What I would say is that it is pretty risky, but taking those huge steps could make you rich or make you broke.

It only takes one who's patient to involve in Bitcoin (base on the raising and falling of Bitcoin price) because if you sell your property or should I say land, you invest in Bitcoin and the price starts dropping instead of increasing as you hoped it would be, it might make you think you have made a mistake by using the money you got from your land to invest in it [Bitcoin].
Bitcoin is like a time boom, it goes up when you least expected. So to me I'd say what ever investment you doing or getting involved in just know is a risky part you taking. It can't always be in your favor at times.

2085  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips To Make Quality Posts In This Forum As A Beginner on: March 31, 2023, 12:24:07 PM
Why Students Score 100% in Examination
There are only two things a good student does to score 100% in exams.
1. When the examination paper is given to him or her, he or she would read the questions and understand the questions.
2. After understanding the question, she or he would write what she or he has understood from the reading, then when the examiner sees that what she or he wrote is corresponding with questions then 100% would be given. So the essence here is reading.

The essence is not all about reading, what if you read and you don't understand all you have read? It happens to many people even my self too, is like your mind isn't a pace to comprehend all you have read.
The major essence is to read and understand not just reading alone, because ones understanding is involved you can beat that barrier between you and making a quality post.
2086  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics supposed to be for the old ones? on: March 30, 2023, 10:10:10 PM
This is not about whether politics is meant to be for the old ones just like we have in America where Biden is the US president and that might extend after 2024 when the us will conduct another election for who next is going to become the president. This is politics and most time the opposition parties normal look for who has experience and can be able to win the ruling party that is on the seat. Most time they do look for a person most old people who can be able to take the seat from the current or leaving president.

Speaking about Biden, he's 80yrs and hasn't it strike your mind that no matter how competent they are these positions have never been occupied by someone who's 40 to 50 years old?
All I'm saying is that letting the younger one come into power is like they'll lose everything they have labored for, all in the name of greed and selfish interest, is just madness.
2087  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics supposed to be for the old ones? on: March 30, 2023, 07:04:55 PM
In some countries I believe that the set of people who runs political affairs are the old ones and is really worrisome, talking about age range 70yrs and above. Like in my country where I'm from these set of people (politicians) just feel they are the only ones fit to run the country and you find it hard to see someone between the age of 40yrs and above to rule as president or any higher position, is really outrageous and irritating. Why is greed speaking more in politics? Must every politician(s) think only about themselves other than the citizens?

I really don't blame most countries that engages in protest year in year out, nobody would be happy to have guys who ship in money into the development of their own businesses other than developing the country.
Apart from health problems and other issue that are associated with old age, I don't see any reason for age discrimination in the political sector of any nation. The most important virtues in leadership are integrity and willingness to serve. A leader that is selfless and compassionate will always perform better than selfless and greedy politicians. I don't see age as a barrier because even some of these youthful leaders end up becoming tyrants and dubious. Nelson Mandela was 75years when he became the president of South Africa and till date he is one of the best leaders in Africa. Abiy Ahmed the Prime minister of Ethiopia was 41 when he assumed office, look at what a Nobel prize winner has turned Ethiopia into.

Age isn't a barrier but with the way they make it look like if is not the older ones nobody can handle a certain position better than they're doing. Talking about greed, is like politicians have it in their DNA always them first which is not fair IMO, so they should sometimes let the youth be part of them allowing them to share ideas (like you said) with them (the older ones) and it will go alone way. They're all willing to serve if not they won't be there but willing to serve and take more is something I dislike. And the citizens especially the youths will even avoid some crazy things like crime and all that because they'll know how to talk sense into them.

Quote
The reason why most people agitate for younger leaders is because they are stronger, open to new ideas and innovative. There is not correlation between younger politicians and good governance. Most youths in my country will steal more than the old politicians if they assume political offices.

Well that's the truth no doubt but I think is the elderly ones who influence the younger ones to do what they're doing, is like if we don't give them it will look like we're cheating them, in my country they'll say "scratch my back and I'll scratch yours too".
You have to do something to get paid that's it.

My goodness, I was kinda shocked when I saw this post. Like seriously, what will happen tomorrow?
I almost thought OP was going to tell us exactly what would happen tomorrow, well anything can happen tomorrow but we pray for good though. Tomorrow is the end of the month and I just wish the price of Bitcoin goes higher than it is now and also get more higher till we jump into April, I just wish tomorrow will be a start of surprises (positive surprises) for Bitcointalk members.
2090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy? on: March 28, 2023, 03:53:50 PM
you can be consistent with the trading strategy you use and try to continue to make a profit. but you also have to evaluate how successful the strategy you are using is. if it does cost more to lose, I think it's a good idea to discuss and receive opinions from other traders using different and possibly more successful strategies. it can open a new understanding regarding the weaknesses and strengths of the trading strategy used. don't focus too much so you might forget that we also need to upgrade knowledge and skills.

Having multiple trading strategy is even more better than having just one because in terms of trading you have to be open to any given opinion not just your own, it makes your trading ideas to grow especially whenever your actual plan isn't favorable, all you have to do is switch to the next one. The more help or ideas you get from those who are there before you the more better you become in tackling those difficulties that comes afterwards, in trading you don't just expect to be having positive outcome all the time.

You have moved on to the discussion of the topic author, which emphasizes the value and relevance of the topic. By the way, what difference does it make who I am, what matters here is the topic. And the theme of Putin's lies that you can not refute.

I don't get it, are you guys picking on each other or what?
Other than going straight to the topic at hand and bring more light on the situation at the table, if you guys start up going on each other what do you expect the Newbies to do...?

On this, we can't really tell if Putin is lying or not, is just a matter of time because if you check properly the news sometimes they just give us what they want us to hear or see, so you can't tell who's lying.

I'm human!

Well... maybe we have to start questioning that statement.  Roll Eyes

LoyceV you have to start giving more proof that you are really human.  Tongue

I sometimes ask if this is going to prevent something from happening to someone's account (mine especially) because when I do login I get to see that too (are you a human?), is it really safe? Just asking.
2093  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 27, 2023, 10:10:38 PM
Difficult economic conditions make it even more difficult for us to earn income, especially since the pandemic has been going on for almost 2 years and has made things even more difficult, if we continue to experience financial difficulties then it's time for us to switch or look for alternative income, there are many potentials that we can take advantage of so that we can be sufficient daily needs.

Since the pandemic things has been crazily difficult but we all know it has to be because is like a world wide shut down of businesses works and all that has to do with our economy, not only that but you'd say schools and so many things went down, but later all was ok, you could see that things started coming back to the way it was. It will continue to be hard only if you keep trying a particular thing to get cash without changing, so I'd say is best to make a change in the aspect of getting money and before you know it you'll be making more money like the pandemic never happened.
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 QUALIFIERS. on: March 27, 2023, 09:52:08 PM
A match that I have been longing to see has come and ended in a disappointing manner, is it me or is this Super Eagles a joke or what? I can't say their performance was great or outstanding, 0-1 win to a team that I was expecting that they [Eagles] would beat with a 3 goal margin at least and the game ended in a disappointing fashion, is really not the best I have to say.
Let's leave the first game aside but I was expecting a much serious force to be in today's game, with all the Eagles have to beat a 118th place Guinea-Bissau and yet the Super Eagles who occupy 35th place in the FIFA World ranking could not, only to get a goal.

I just feel that the Super Eagles are making players like V. Osimhen, Iwobi, Moses Simon and the others look like players who don't know how to play football but right in their various clubs they're the key players, frankly speaking I think there's a lot of work that need to be done in this Super Eagles team.
2095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 27, 2023, 09:27:36 PM
Only 1-0 for France at the end, the game was close, was not expecting that considering the difference between the teams.

I can't really tell what's up with the French side, is like they're not the team that played the world cup finals despite the fact that they lost but they're suppose to continue that amazing form, scoring goals non stop, imagine struggling with Ireland at 48th place  in the FIFA world ranking and they [France] at 3th, is just hilarious in there performance very unimpressive. To me  0-1 is not a comfortable win with the kind of players the French side have, wasn't expecting that score line though.

CBN Ban Banks From Operating PoS, Approves 17 Companies As Mobile Money Operators In Nigeria
Read more here: https://crossriverwatch.com/2023/03/cbn-ban-banks-from-operating-pos-approves-17-companies-as-mobile-money-operators-in-nigeria/amp/

Due to the recent hiccups experienced by bank customers and their inability to use mobile apps and other digital touchpoints, Nigerians have begun the search for alternatives as fintech firms have taken over the ecosystem and provided better experiences. These licensed mobile operators have provided relief to many Nigerians at the time of unprecedented transaction failures.

The mobile money operators offer incentives such as zero transfer charges and daily rewards to customers. Many customers on these platforms are concerned about the legality of the platforms and wonder if they are authorised or licensed to operate in Nigeria. The worries have prompted the apex bank to draw up a list of authorised operators in the financial ecosystem

Still on the PoS matter; "Over 80 Point of Sales (PoS) vendors in Akure, the Ondo State capital, have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly buying and selling money to individuals with higher interest. you fit find the story here; https://thenationonlineng.net/efcc-arrests-80-pos-vendors-in-ondo/". I dey understand say this people dun confess say dem dey buy this money from banks but no be the same banks wey dey say dem no get cash. Shey una dey see the country we dey inside, no be everything wey dey blame government. Shall how una see the development, e good as EFCC dey go after this POS businesses or you dey feel say na another misplaced priority?

Omo those matter make sense oh, I like as them nab them for that crime wey be to dy buy our own currency but if nah to stop POS operation hmm, e no make sense at all nah to just circulate money full we yonda make e dy as e dy before with normal charges with that one e go make sense. Me I tire for this plenty big big charges all in the name of I buy moni at higher rate, na wa.
EFCC try but make them no too carry the matter for head make something no go spoil pass as e dy now, I know how  them sabi over do, but kudos to them but make them take am easy biko.
2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 26, 2023, 03:37:01 PM
England will be locking horns against the Ukraine team and all that I'm expecting is so much goals coming from the English side, because I don't see the Ukrainian national team doing much or even holding England to a draw at halftime. I see a very busy side in this fixture, the 3 Lions have all it takes to run down the engine of the visiting team without any problem...
Just hope they won't get to do something different because they (England) can be disappointing at times, that they can underrate their opponent and end up playing a draw or even lose the game.

Thank you for bumping this. It has been a while. I intend to put myself forward to get approved here since there's no activity left with the merit source in the local board that we have. I hope this can be noticed and approved.

I have been better at determining worthy merit posts hopefully, this would be enough to become one.

You have so much determination to do this for your people and I encourage you to continue to do what would not just help your people alone but also to grow this forum, your intentions are good use it well if given the chance and continue doing what's best. I wish your application are approved. Good luck to you.
