2081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The hunt for Satoshi Nakamoto - The creator of bitcoin on: October 08, 2014, 07:08:37 AM
He's probably from Missouri.  His email was likely hacked.
Misinformed as always, his email is compromised, but Satoshi is not from Missouri, there is no proof of this. The address in the image, is most likely somebody sending his invoice to Satoshi's email.

Exactly... and why ask for 25BTC .... really? this is your biggest way to exploit this legendary email address and information of the creator of BTC?

Why not approach the man who created the tech and extort him directly

Isnt the topic.."The hunt for Satoshi Nakamoto - The creator of bitcoin"  doesnt that mean he is missing?? Huh

2084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Flashback, Do You Remember ?? How Do You Know Bitcoin, at First?? on: October 08, 2014, 06:37:43 AM
I first heard about Bitcoin, when Wikileaks started accepting them as a mode of payment. But I never explored about it further for a year or so. Got my first Bitcoins only in 2012 December, when I bought a few for $100. Now I am cursing myself for not taking Bitcoins seriously, when I first read about them in 2011. At that time the exchange rate was like 1$ = BTC10.

Man I wish I knew about BTC at that time.!! I just came to know about it about a year back.!! ANyways i'd have made the same mistake like u did.!! so.. Its alright I guess..!
2085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: could be possible a single currency for different nations and economies? on: October 08, 2014, 06:31:35 AM
Well it would buy the same, just like today i guess.
today you don't buy the same amount of... say.... tomatoes in USA and in Uganda, with 1 dollar. In USA people have much higher wages so they will pay more. In Uganda wages are much lower so even prices.

How would bitcoin deal with it?

R U trying to buy tomatoes with BTC.?? Tongue
I think BTC is the answer..rather than currency exchange  when travelling abroad.!! hope BTC gets more popular soon.!
2086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man's bitcoin mining leads to police raiding his home on: October 08, 2014, 06:25:12 AM
This was already posted and covered here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=781703.0

The reason the warrant was issued was him using eight times the normal usage of a residence *AND* because he had previous history of operating growing houses.

This isn't a case where some innocent person was raided due to simply using too much electricity. It was that fact combined with his previous criminal history. The seizure of the bitcoin was incidental to the raid. Bitcoin came into the picture AFTER the raid, it was not the cause as so many want to believe.

Whatever your personal feelings are regarding MJ, growing it in Virginia is still very much illegal.

Mining Bitcoin wasn't the issue, it was the grow operation that got him in trouble.

2090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you notice the silence about this bitcoin crash in Mainstream media! on: October 08, 2014, 05:51:18 AM
I just love all you Bitcoin naysayers. Maybe, just maybe you will scare a lot of people into selling. The price will go down, and when I am comfortable with the low price, I will buy a lot.

When fiat crashes, Bitcoin just might be the world trade savior. Might even be local trade savior. But even if it's not, it WILL make things easier until we get a new money system going. That's where I will make out big.

Smiley

Im banking on the same thing.!! I think is will join the mainstream soon..n actually become a trade savior.! Cant wait for that day to come.!! Smiley

2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s future depends on public acceptance on: October 08, 2014, 05:25:36 AM
Yes..
It needs more time.

It will widely get accepted soon.

How much more time are you talking about?

Maybe 10 years? Need a strategy to make bitcoin reach each and everyone in the world.

Id say lesser time than that...! Probably around 5 years.!

2096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much BTC do you need to be in the Top 100? 1,000? 10,000? 100,000? on: October 08, 2014, 12:09:20 AM
You are guaranteed to be in the top 100 if you have more than 1% of the 13 million available bitcoins, or more than 130,000 BTC.

In the top ...If you have ...
100130,000
1,00013,000
10,0001,300
100,000130
1,000,00013

But because of the skew towards the top, the necessary amounts are probably actually much less.

yeah should be a bit lesser to be in top 100

2099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why There Should Be A Bitcoin Central Bank on: October 07, 2014, 11:43:47 PM

2100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook on: October 07, 2014, 11:37:23 PM
That is close to impossible.!! everyone who owns a PC has a FB account...n I dont believe they all use BTC's. The only possible way is to ban FB from highly populated countries like India n China.!!n still to wont be close.!
