I set myself limits for gambling so as not to lose the funds that I really need for everyday needs. I do not feel any inconvenience because of this, but I just enjoy an intelligent game.
even you limit yourself but if you still have that money inside your pocket there's still a tendency that you will use that to recover loses i guess limiting also the time that we will stay is also important so it will be an easy access to stop and quit after you meet the time frame. If we have limit on ourselves then we will not deposit more if we lose. That is why it is good to have a limit on ourselves. Sometimes when we dont have any limit at all it will be much worse as we will tend to put more when we lose. To clarify, you did not know how to behave in order to get a good result. Gambling is tricky, once you enter its field, you became paralyzed. It is like fighting monsters in a huge jungle. Yes, gambling can be useful if you use it wisely. If you flirt with them lightly, then they will just ruin you with every game. Almost all the games i like. Everytime gamble, i am always change the type of game. Because i, want to have fun even when have made a profit, i immediately leave.
If you want to have fun then it is not the same as making profit. If you are having fun then you wont care about the result. You will most likely only care about how to have fun. I don't think that experience matters in gambling. There are newbie's who tries to gamble cause they believe that mistakes will give them experience so that the next time they will do better. Aside from that, in gambling you're always trying you luck so experience is not needed.
It might be helping us but it might not as well depending on what route are we choosing. If we choose to play for fun then it might not be useful but if it is for profit then it might help. I became an addicted gambler and with my experience it's really a hard thing to quit gambling. You are going to fight against yourself even your body doesn't want to gamble anymore, your mind will tell you to gamble and it's just fine because you can quit on the next days to come. And when that happens, you will still do it again and the cycle will be repeating.
The same thing happened to me as well. I cant quit and I keep on coming back. For some people like us it is hard to quit gambling because it might affect ourselves. It is better to keep playing but with small amount so that we wont really risk alot of money even if we need to keep on playing. It is the best thing for us that cant stop playing |

Because were trying to win but we ended up in loosing. But for me I enjoy playing gambling since from the start I enter gambling I can say that I have a positive profit.
We are trying hard, even it takes a life time to win we have the heart to keep on pushing our hope that we'll win in the end. Gamblers that says they are having positive profit are very rare and few so you are one of those gamblers that are very lucky when they gamble. And it's a good attitude that when you lose, you are just enjoying your bets and you'll not depend on your emotion when you lose. I choose trading because trading has a smaller risk compared to gambling game. gambling games require luck while trading is determined by the skills we have. the conclusion is the skill and experience we can train while the luck can not we train, luck will not come when not the time. that's what makes gambling play very risky to play.
I have also similar points like you, about trading better than gambling. In trading we have less and smaller risk and if we compare risk wise in gambling, then we see in gambling we have full of risk, till the end, we don't know that we could save our money or not, mean we win or not. Also everyone know that winning in gambling also by chance we get it. So compare wise, trading is better to earn the money, but gambling is better to get fun and excitement. Gambling is only for fun and there is no way to get money in gambling site. It is very ahrd and dont even try to dream about it. I try to set up limit for myself but by addiction I some time go beyond the limit. And many of the time I can't control my mind while I am crossing the limit. So I now deposit and play with small amount.
Just leave your computer screen for few hours when your limit will be reached and than come back after half and hour or so when all your emotion will be finished. Don't be emotional or aggressive when gambling, play for fun than for money so that you can be within your playing limits as well as calm all around the day. Having limits on one's action keeps him safe from unknown dangers. Gambling is a risky game so we must take this step for our own safety. Also, if someone is lucky to hit upon a jackpot or lottery, he must stop gambling in an instant and utilize his winnings in a more reliable thing. That's true because the thought of being in a safety net would be less risk that you get but in reality, it's you who is still going to make ways to do it. Nothing is wrong unless you are doing too much and thinking about the luck that you would have, it won't happen. It's the person that should make good ways to increase the chances of winning. Find a new hobby to replace gambling. Try working out, learning to code, video games or something like that. I wouldn't recommend gambling with play money, the best thing to do is do some new hobby whenever you feel the urge to gamble. Just keep it up and the urge will eventually go away.
Yes, this is the only option that will lead to success in order to quit gambling. If a person has another more interesting occupation, then gambling just will not be interesting to him. However, it is not as easy as it sound. Just like many of us who are used to using computer every day. How is it possible for us to survive without access to internet forever? Some things have become their habit and it is very hard to change. We have to get rid of "not as easy as it sounds" and turn it into "I can do it". Everything will be done, the most important is our mindset. If we keep thinking it's hard then it will always be difficult for us. We have to think that it's easy and we'll find the easiest way to do it. Everything can be done if we want to do it. Sometimes if we cant do it with this way, we can always try another way around. Sometimes the way that peple suggest might not work for us. Example like me, I dont think that I can stop that is why instead of stopping right now I only play with a small amount so that I can have fun and enjoy it I used to say one thing, change your way but never change your goal. It is true, when a person becomes truly determined about something, nothing can stop him from achieving it. But in your case, it seems to me that the goal has changed. If you were thinking of quitting gambling, in that case you have not but now you play a safe gambling. Perhaps but atleast I wont lose money when I gamble but that is for the best. I believe anything you are addicted to is not easy to get out..now if you are having a difficulties in giving up gambling, then you are addicted.. basically its all about self control and redirecting your self. Do something new, i know its easy to say but its totally hard to give up if your hooked for a long time. But as i said, self control, self discipline and seek a help. As long as you are willing to change then you can do it.

Most gamblers always want a profit, because most are still short of money. Except for millionaires, who gamble just for fun. Including me, the motivation of gambling is to make big profits. But, just hope because always lose.  Maybe you need to try a different strategy or a different hobby if you still can. Also having a dayjob in case you don't have one may lead you to a greener pasture than just giving a shot to the moon to be rich from gambling ;-) My suggestion won't be anything different from yours. He must try out some more effective and reliable method of becoming rich. There is no instant way and he cannot be a millionaire overnight. I do gamble every now and then myself, but I am for sure not addicted.
Although I know my limits, it's really hard to stop when you're down. You can't stand the fact that you lose money, and you want to play more to get the money back.
I think it has a lot to do with the uncertainty of the outcome of the gamble. There always is a chance you win it back, so you're chasing your loss.
Yes you already are an addicted but you're not too much cause you can control your limits. But like addicted cigarrets . It will last very long time if you don't real try to remove it. So hope you can quit it as soon as possible. Chasing the loss is a way to bounce back . Winner is the one that know how to stop their loss. Some people gamble because they want to gamble and try it. Well it is true, we often experience lose but we still gambling. on my knowledge i think that's because we feel curious and continue to obsess about looking for a chance to win until finally sometimes do not care will experience busted again. This is always happening to those gamblers, but some gamblers also like to gambke even if they are always losing is because they just want to entertain themselves or maybe having an activity with their spare time. It is actually always happening. In my experience I play gambling even if I lose often is because sometime I just wanted to try my luck on that day. The only lesson that I get is when I lose everything. That is the only lesson that I get for being greedy. That teach me alot of thing as well , It teach me not to spend something that might be important in the future. I got around 3 btc when the price was around $300 or so then I lose everything. Few weeks after that, I need to use it for something else which is really important on that time |

If possible then it is better not to gamble. We dont know if we could be addicted or not but most people will be addicted. So instead of trying, it is better not to try at all. Never risk that we need to spend. Even if we dont need it or cna afford it, I wouldnt spend alot of money to gamble as well. I rather spend that to somewhere else where I can enjoy more fun.
