It was following a rumor and an official denial by the PBoC a week earlier. Buy the rumor, sell the news or in the case of bad news, sell the rumor and buy the news. That wasn't my mistake. My mistake was not paying attention to the technical indicators, the same indicators that are now saying a substantial move up is very unlikely in the near future.
I don't understand. You boast about how you bought your stash at $10, which means you've got hundreds if not a thousand coins, then you trade with leverage. Why would you do that? Especially since you say you have a stash in cold storage. Why not just sell and buy like a regular dude if you've got all this money, and not have to cave in at the whims of the sharks at Bitfinex? yeah, he sure bought for 10! two weeks ago he was talking about his mortgage money coming to buy all the cheap coins @ 550.  |

Guys, nobody would be happier if I am wrong than I would be. It's extremely likely we'll either go sideways for a long time or down. If we go down, $400 support will be tested and may or may not hold. 3600 coins mined per day on top of Chinese arbitragers constantly buying on Huobi, and selling on Stamp. There's simply too much liquidity to soak up without a strategic retreat in price.
It's a great time to buy if you don't mind waiting months or years to see a significant profit, but a rocket ride up past $500 before April 15 is delusional, unless there's possibly a spike that immediately crashes back down. Bitfinex walls keep moving, but the Bitstamp wall is staying solid and immovable at $400.
I know opinions change and this isn't a low blow particularly but you really must be taking your forced liquidation badly. Two days ago it was choo choo and now your saying that anyone buying coins here would have to wait years for a profit. What's changed in a day or so? Personally I dont think the decline is over yet, Huobi will come with a statement that confirms the PBoC news. Don't be fooled, Chinese people have a way other culture when it comes to communication than most westerners.

- They are paid trolls by some who want to disturb the scene => The puppetmasters want to buy => Bitcoin price goes up.
Never does a bear have any teeth to force the price down. The bear can only buy, which makes the price go up.

I would decribe myself as bearish. But I'm pretty sure we will have a bit of panic buying soon.  Of course.. fiat is infinite.. BTC is not... once it is rising again(the real uptrend!) there will be a rush for the door. if fiat is infinite, and I steal it from you, then I didnt steal anything. because, you cant steal anything that is infinite. right??? it is infinite, but only for people in the upper sections of the pyramid  if so, what is stopping you from taking "their money"? |

I think people are trading/selling because of fear no fear. we are not there yet. I see constant selling pressure with big asks on stamp. also, every single time the price starts moving up, I see ask side reloaded and rebuilt with a lot of coins in no time. |

If its more than rumours why is there no confirmation after nearly a week? Coins are still worth more than they where two days ago so I'd say we've left the panic phase behind. Buying time for more dumps. Why did gox remain silent till the end? To lure more people to buy cheap coins. |

Not quite epic though... and I still don't trust the volume on Huobi. Would be nice to see one of the other exchanges lead for a change. Huobi is an 0% fee exchange that is hiding the low buy interest with meaningless volume. 0 fee exchanges are making the general market overview less transparent. That is actually one of the important reasons on why the price isn't falling quicker. If Bitstamp would be the market leader with it's realistic and transparent volume, then the price would fall a lot quicker. Indeed. On a sidenote, it has been always like that in bitcoinland. The leading markets were the ones that are less transparent. Gox, and 0 fee chinese exchanges. Dont know why. |

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
If you have already shorted and looking for a "real" bottom, why do you share your opinion. To get to that bottom "quicker"?
you are in speculation thread. that is the only place on earth where trolls are getting paid. you cant really find an opinion here. but, you have to understand that this is a two-way street: posting trains, choo-choos™, da moons™ and charts that are about to break upwards must be considered as trolling too. |
