But how do we know its truly fake? Do we? I mean. It makes sense if that much volume is traded to assume most is fake, but what if its not and the Chinese are going mad for bitcoin.
The real volume could be considerable (OKCoin does a fair bit of fee-paying USD volume), but is unknowable due to the zero-fees wash trading as TERA pointed out.

Wow $619 per coin now i'm speechless, shocked, happy, exited! Ha ha, great image

The market has built in the expectation that these spikes will always collapse. It will come as a shock when one does not...

1-d MACD destroyed! Bet some weren't expecting that seeing as it had provided a reliable signal for the past two and a half years.

I'd show you but I'm too old; I'm too tired; I'm too fucking blind. If I were the man I was five years ago I'd take a flame-thrower to this place!
Ah, that's what you get for for juggling live grenades.

indeed, smells like breakout to me
It's so far denying the 1-d macd. Houbi is right on the verge of a crossover and not a flinch...

Bought back at an average of $250 since the last bubble (when ignoring trading profits). Altogether from first purchase though, I'm with this guy: negative digits I make money taking bitcoin from the market lol

Au contraire mon Ami! Apparently Miss Bit Coin upthread wasn't smart enough, that;s why we're having this conversation. And transactions aren't just about sending someone your coin, they're about *getting something other than a gift-wrapped brick in return.* That's where you need IRL banksters and their jackbooted thugs Au contraire contraire, we wouldn't be having this conversation had Blockchain.info implemented one of these features. When they do, even this lady who likes to set fixed fees will be smart enough. (Not that I really think Bitcoin should be, or is well-suited as, an Everyman's currency).

I do not care to be my own proctologist Neither feature require any user thought when implemented by default on the client as they ought be. The tech is there for wallet providers to make the experience fairly idiot-proof.

the problem with beetcoin [sic] is [..] that you don't know if you have enough money with you to be able to get off the bus, because, unlike a bus, beetcoin [sic] doesn't ask for your fare to get on. It lets you on, but if you don't have enough change on you? Have fun riding the bus. For the rest of your life Dynamic fees predict fare based on current demand. If demand increases in the interim from boarding to alighting, then RBF gives you the option to increase your fare. These mechanism mitigate the problem by and large.
Opt-in RBF fixes zero-fee transactions. I honestly don't care
That much is true.
Sure. All those tiny 1mm torpedos you fired would seem worthwhile also then. Unfortunately, you may not get your wish.

I said the original prediction was premature and this turned out to be true - this thing is like turning round an oil tanker. It takes time to build up momentum and for fear to recede.
And now? Now we are at a point, I think, where it's possible. I still wouldn't say it's the likeliest outcome pre-halving, but neither can it be blithely dismissed.

Order book on Finex is looking healthier now.

I am a bit regret that I sold all my Ethereum to buy the bitcoin. The Ethereum price is new all time high now.
To be precise, it's not at an all-time high - it's matched its previous top in $ terms. I wouldn't have thought June would be a good month for Eth given the halving fomo surrounding Bitcoin, but I'll not fight this market if it decides to go up.
i can't imagine dragons being so superstitious. On the other hand a ton of coins on finex for sale till $600 it'll take some volume to push through
Someone's certainly stacking up some coins there. Not sure if this is a tactic to suppress price for a breakout, or if it's genuine.

4000 CNY and especially 4444 will be huge psychological resistances in the middle kingdom. 4 in chinese is "sì" (四) and it sounds a lot like "sî" (死) which means death... The chinese people don't like it and try to avoid using it. In elevators for example you might find floor 3a and 3b and floor 5 but no floor 4. Not really comparable to 13 in the west but you can get the idea. ( Most of the airplanes i have been flying with did not have a seat with that number). So there could be some trouble if we do not get past that cursed number quick... On the other hand we might just overshoot it to 5000 cny which would be really great if the western exchanges just follow. My next target is +760$.
Now you can enjoy the rest of the nlc show i guess. kthxbye
Had no problem hanging about in the 1400s, and from what I've read on tetraphobia, 14 connotes certain death.

I am not calling any tops here or even a new bear trend. You can't predict the future anyway. If it would be crystal clear that we would go to 1200$ we would already be there and not get resistance below 600$. You also have to keep in mind that the last moon was with much less coins in circulation. Also there was almost no leverage trading or short trading. This will definitely make a giant move like back then less likely. Not Impossible ofc...
So the theory goes. Not really sure I believe in the moderating power of those instruments in practice though. Coins in circulation then was about 12 million, so there are 30% more today. If we count say 2 million as being unspendable, then there's maybe 50-60% more today, not a great deal.

His first altcoin could have bought us all fancy houses. It's been a profitable alt, but so have quite a few others. And just remember that you can also lose a fancy house on the way down after a 17-fold pump. Factom's chart in particular should be an antidote to those who are "fall-blind" (as perhaps is daddy Bitcoin's ). Until it shows conviction of continuing an uptrend (breaking 0.0276 would be a start) it's not a buy.
