20841  Economy / Gambling / Re: dodadoo.com reliable? on: March 19, 2016, 03:10:04 AM
there was an announcement on gambling section here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1347818.0

i find their name funny so i played there a little only with free bitcoin (never deposited) just for testing and everything looked cool to me. you might want to check out their announcement topic for more info before making any decision.
20842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do I Get Bitcoin Fast? on: March 18, 2016, 08:10:15 AM
there is no such thing as getting bitcoin fast.

you can get 100 satoshi fast if that is what you are looking for.
but if you are looking for getting 1BTC fast it is $414 nobody is going to give it to you, and it is not spread across the internet for you to gather; you have to EARN IT.

now ask yourself this:
what can i do to earn 414 USD in the time frame i have in mind?
20843  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info online wallet error on: March 18, 2016, 08:02:54 AM
how come no one here advised OP to contact blockchain.info support?  Huh their support got to have better knowledge about this.

seriously! it is literary suggested in the second comment!

did you sign in to your wallet from two different devices?

they might have locked it automatically to prevent losing your coins in case your wallet was compromised. there must be an email in your inbox about this.

if it is not fixed in 209 min send them a ticket and investigate the reason.
20844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite Game? on: March 18, 2016, 08:00:05 AM
I was wondering what is the percentage of gamblers for casino and other gambling games.
I for myself love to play Poker, so it is my favorite game to gamble with money.

And you? What's yours?

if you really want to find out how many users play what kind of game here you should start a Poll instead of the question. that way you can see from the votes which game gets the top score.
right now you have to count comments to see which game is popular.
20845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or offline gambling at a casino ? on: March 18, 2016, 07:56:14 AM
Online gambling or offline gambling at a casino ? Or online live gambling ?? Which do you prefer and why ?
Personally i really should stay away from gambling unless im the house xP and to me offline gambling
seems the most dangerous and risky.

for me, both of them have their own pros and cons.

playing at a casino (offline) like driving there and playing is good because you are physically there in that environment and it is all fun just being there. something that online gambling can not provide.

on the other hand, when you play in an online casino, there is the benefit of sitting at home, or literary be at any place whether it is on a bus, at work or on the toilet you can play it on your phone or pc and enjoy the experience.
20846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCN or RDD for long term investment? on: March 18, 2016, 05:58:35 AM
nobody knows these things and even if they know, they are not going to publicly announce it before it is too late.

i don't know about BCN but since i have a couple of thousands RDD in my bittrex i usually check the price, RDD so far looks like a dead coin but the interesting thing is the big trade volume everyday on 5-6 and now 7 satoshi!!!
20847  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safe Exchange/Trade on: March 18, 2016, 05:46:51 AM
do you mean something like exchanging currency "P2P" ?
have you tried currency exchange section of the forum here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

also as long as there is no reputation and no trust, you will need a middle man like escrow no matter how you do it.
20848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to store Private Keys on: March 18, 2016, 05:26:07 AM
I have some of my Bitcoin Addresses and their Private Keys. My question is that where and how should i securely store my Private keys so that i don't loose my BTC earnings. Currently i have saved them on my PC in a txt file, which is not the best way.
Please suggest.

it depends on your choice and how much you want to protect your private keys.
i would print them on a piece of paper and then laminate the paper and put it away in a safe place and delete the text from my computer.
i personally engraved them on a stainless steel plate Smiley

but also you can still keep the text but with an encryption software, encrypt the file and keep that with a secure password. or even store the keys in an encrypted format. but in this method you will need to remember the passwords and forgetting them means no access.
20849  Economy / Services / Re: need help to make my Picture ''bigger'' on: March 18, 2016, 04:51:13 AM
what resolution do you want the picture be? (your pic is 640x960)
gimme a number and i will do the best resize possible with photoshop for free.

i can design a new one too.
do you just want a ship with your name "Sakarias" on it with the pirate thingy on top? or should it be this ship with that logo?
gimme a ship or i can find one and do that for you, if i had time  Grin
20850  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Bitcoin desktop wallet without downloading the entire blockchain? on: March 17, 2016, 06:19:40 AM
are people living under a rock, you can run core with prune mode, problem solved, no more nearly 70gb of data to download, no need to run an spv client

hello from underneath a rock.
you are comparing 70 GB with 40 MB of data (in Electrum). besides there is no need for a strong pc (cpu, ssd,..) you can run it on crappy one too. and the sync each time is less than 1 MB even if you don't run it for a while.
20851  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to manage money? on: March 17, 2016, 06:00:23 AM
i don't exactly keep a record on paper but i used to do it with an excell sheet before. now i just do a mental math to see how much my expenses are and what i am going to spend them on based on my past experience.

but for the start it is good to keep some sort of record of your expenses and earnings to see how well you performed at the end of the month.
20852  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: March 17, 2016, 05:51:56 AM
For speculation? To buy on the dark web? To buy online on sites like purse.io? To send money? To do business? To have your money under your control?
What is/are your purposes when yu buy bitcoin?

the reason i "buy" bitcoin is for speculation, or in other words in order to make more money from trading it, holding and selling in the future that the price went up.

but also i earn bitcoin through different jobs that i do, that's what i call using bitcoin, getting paid to do stuff online which i like because there is no account on a site like paypal that can be blocked by the service because they feel like it.
20853  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I the only one watchig bitcointicker.co 24/7? on: March 17, 2016, 05:46:48 AM
this looks like a head and shoulders but it is upside down, I think that technical analysis does not always work with bitcoin like in stock market.
but I do agree with you that the price will rise in the next days IF there is no bad news appear as usual ;/

in my opinion, in bitcoin market the technical analysis is just good to have some sort of idea about what "might possibly happen", so it is good to have that in mind.

but "what actually happens" is controlled by many different factors in this market.
20854  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 bitcoin = 200k dollars on: March 17, 2016, 05:43:00 AM
be optimistic is very good but again we must see the fact because we even didn't see prices back again to $1000 and how could that possible bitcoin prices will be reach to $200k and i think this is impossible

this is not optimism it is called day dreaming.
especially since OP is just throwing out idea without a proper reason.
bitcoin is good, but it is not going to be adopted by every single person on the planet. so 200K is impossible even if it reaches the mass adoption stage the price will be around 5K
20855  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or Coinbase ? Which is better and Why ? on: March 17, 2016, 05:30:36 AM
Hi,

I have heard Xapo and Coinbase are the two best online wallets.
I just need to know if you were to choose between them, which one you will go for and why?

You can also share good and bad experiences with both wallets so it can help us decide which one to use.

Thanks

nobody can answer your question better than yourself.
it is up to you which one to choose considering your needs.

go to their "Terms of Service" and read their rules and see if it fits your needs.
for example if you want to use Coinbase as a wallet to spend on gambling sites you will get banned according to their ToS
20856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good start api script exchanges on: March 17, 2016, 04:39:40 AM
https://yobit.net/api/3/ticker/nlg_btc
since this doesn't have the json_decode($response,true) part you can check for response success some other way (optional)
change the obj to this:
Code:
$obj['nlg_btc']['Last']
the difference here is that the response is not an array. you just have to give the keys to json to reach what you want.

i haven't heard about the other two exchangers Smiley

edit:
https://alcurex.org/api/market.php?pair=NLG_btc&last=last
Code:
$obj['nlg_btc']['price']

https://safecex.com/api/getmarket?market=NLG/BTC
Code:
$obj['last']

you might wanna check with mocacinno that knows PHP

20859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A teen is given $1K to invest into Bitcoin - what would you recommend for them? on: March 16, 2016, 04:33:03 AM
Let's say a young teenager is given some coming-of-age money from their family, and is interested in growing that money through Bitcoin. Without encouraging him/her to invest in risky strategies, what are some lower risk methods of growing a Bitcoin portfolio with a hypothetical gift of $1K?

$1000 is not that much money that changes you life so since you are talking about a young teenager whom i suppose is not in need of the money right away i would suggest investing it all in bitcoin by buying it (he can buy 2.415BTC today).

and then is suggest him/her to put 2BTC in cold storage for now and invest 0.4 in trading altcoins but start with small amounts and learn how to do it in order to learn the tricks and learn how to make profit and in time (s)he can increase the investment.
20860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: March 16, 2016, 04:17:14 AM
as i am a newbie.. i know nothing about trading... what should i do to start trading and multiply my btc.. guys please help me

dont bother with trading..

get a job, that pays fiat. Then go buy some bitcoin at some localbitcoins or at a btc atm if you have one near you.

All this trading and graphs talk will only make you notice that day trading is a calculated gamble to those who are very new at the game.

i disagree.
if you want to accumulate bitcoin through mind numbing jobs like faucet, captcha work, and things like that then getting a job instead is the better option.

but trading is a very good way of earning a profit through investing your bitcoins. besides it is not that hard to find a good opportunities for investment if you spend enough time to learn how to spot those things instead of listening to FUD.
