20921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2010/2011 Bitcoin was really exciting! on: March 25, 2016, 04:28:58 AM
people are still excited about bitcoin, at least those of us who understand what bitcoin is meant to be like are excited about it.
besides in 2010-2011 it was more about the price and seeing bitcoin (as a new technology) grow and worth as much as 1 USD and then go up to a thousand times worth more than 1 USD, that was the most exciting part.
20922  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best gambling website to invest in house and why? on: March 25, 2016, 04:22:46 AM
i liked investing in moneypot mostly because of the popularity and that it is a gambling wallet type of system that many sites used but after the change i stopped the investment. might check again in future if not busy.

also i like crypto-games both the site and the investment plan.
20923  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to start trading on: March 25, 2016, 04:17:21 AM
Invest in one-cent altcoins with an extremely low/high (nothing in between) trade volume, and as soon as the coin becomes 2-3 cents, sell.

Or invest in Ether or Uraniumcoin.

low trade volume + low price means a dead coin and unless someone decides to pump it , you will be left with bags of a dead coin and nobody to sell it to. which means it might never become 2-3 cent with this logic.

p.s IMO investing in ETH is super risky at this point.
20924  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: March 25, 2016, 04:12:57 AM
You can maybe now even make an investment. We all know that the price will rise, but we dont know when the rising will start.
So the value is also not that high now so that will be good to make an investment so you will have more profit later.

Investing in Bitcoin can be done at ANY price. You just need to make sure you are comfortable with the price you're buying at. You are fine as long as you think it's a good moment to buy. Do your research properly.
you can do whatever research you want you might just lose your money because the price is pretty unpredictable to be honest

you should save your bitcoins for the future though that does not mean that you will make a lot of money for sure

Making money is the main reason for people to hold their coins for the long term. If people were thinking there wasn't a lot money to be made, then they would sell their coins much sooner. If people think they will make profit throughout the years, then they will hold.

not for everybody. only the lazy people hold their coins and hope for the profit.
if you want to make money you have to work with the coins that you are holding, you can start trading them at the very least to use the market to your advantage.
20925  Economy / Economics / Re: Block reward halving and BC price on: March 25, 2016, 04:10:04 AM
there is nothing for sure when it comes to speculating about bitcoin price, you can just make guesses by looking at the charts and do some analysis plus checking how the overall tendency is.
so far it looks good, and all things point to a rise because of the block halving.
20926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Answer me these Damn Question? on: March 25, 2016, 03:59:40 AM
Don't listen to the hype, nobody can predict where the price will go. Isn't it expected for people in a bitcoin forum to be bullish about it without looking at it from a neutral perspective?

i agree that halving effect (expecting a big rise) is just a hype, but i think this hype alone is effective enough to make the price rise.
just look at ETH which is the biggest hype of 2016, it grew maybe more than 1000% just because of hype and social media spamming.
20927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Does Trading Work? What Are good sites? on: March 25, 2016, 03:44:51 AM
Still fairly new to BTC, and only make them with signature campaigns. However trading is obviously a major role in bitcoin. Can someone explain to me how it works, and how I can get involved?

trading is basically buying low and then selling it high.
you just have to find those two prices on your own with some analysis.
easy version is like this:
for example right now bitcoin price is $415 so if you can find bitcoin at $410 or lower and buy you can make a profit by selling it at $417 and more.
or you can buy at $415 and wait for the price to go up and then sell for profit.
20928  Economy / Speculation / Re: $250 here we come!!! on: March 24, 2016, 05:58:33 AM
I loved to see the price to 250 again, so i could massively buy more bitcoins. However. It seems clear to me we've established a new low
around the 300 USD mark. So no way we can get to 250 USD.

No kidding. A price of $250 would creat a situation of panic buying for me  Smiley
yeah, the low price will make us earn a little more bitcoin, even it's good timing to buy bitcoin as much as possible, but I'm still not happy knowing that the price's going to be down

you can only dream about $250 at this point.
we are above $400 and the buy resistance is strong. so be sure that even going to $370-380 is going to take a huge dump, and i don't see any reason for that to happen.
20929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2P Cash or Settlement Layer? on: March 24, 2016, 05:50:16 AM
what i want is for the price to reach a level and stays there no matter what the price is, so i would love it to become as it was intended meaning P2P cash and i am hoping for a day to see all payment processors like PayPal disappear with their rules and be replaced by bitcoin.

until that day i am taking this opportunity to make as much profit as i can from trading bitcoin and the volatility.
20930  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your least favorite thing about Bitcoin? on: March 24, 2016, 05:43:18 AM
bitcoin price!
the price is the only thing that i both love and hate. i love the fact that it changes so much and sometime the changes are big so that i can make a profit but also i have it because it make using bitcoin a risky investment .
20931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your first gambling experience? on: March 24, 2016, 05:32:54 AM
my first gambling experience with bitcoin was on the famous faucet called freebit.co.in (not sure about the url) but it was giving a good amount on each claim every hour and there was this multiply section that worked as a dice site.
so after a week of claiming i started using it from 1 satoshi (martingale method) and after an hour i lost all of it to one bad lucky streak ;(
20932  Economy / Gambling / Re: From faucet to smoething? on: March 24, 2016, 05:30:19 AM
faucets onthese sites are paying so little that you can't get anywhere with them, the only way that using a faucet might work for you is that if you get like 1000 satoshi and use a big multiplier like 99x or 999x and get super lucky and after this win slow down.
20933  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: March 24, 2016, 05:15:23 AM
As the title says, is the halving good or bad for the price of bitcoin?

The halving will decrease the supply of bitcoin, whole keeping the demand, so that would make bitcoin worth more.

But the halving will make mining profitibilty worse, meaning less miners, a higher trans. fee, and maybe causing a smaller demand.

What's your verdict?

I think bitcoin will still go up, as the fees might, let's say, double, but that's still a smaller transaction fee than through the banks...

U think that it is very good for bitcoin because price will rise, and when price of bitcoin rises of course that it is very good for bitcoin

Just i am afraid that after halving price of bitcoin will fall because everyone will sell them

it is good for bitcoin not because of price but because it slows down the speed of creating new coins, which will work towards creating a fixed amount of bitcoin in circulation (the max amount)
the price rise is just a speculation.
20934  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen with the Bitcoin price after the halving on 07-17-2016? on: March 24, 2016, 05:10:41 AM
the potential for a big rise is there, but the initiative for the rise is not yet created.

this initiative can be a good news like regulation in a big country or block size or it can be another willy bot
20935  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will Polo pay back lending amount if burrower doesn't pay in time? on: March 24, 2016, 05:07:29 AM
i haven't used the service yet, buy from reading the explanation of how the lending works i can tell you that they are not going to pay you back. the borrower borrows money to trade and if he can't make a profit he will not have enough to pay you back unless he deposits more.
20936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Useful Desktop Applications for Bitcoin ? on: March 24, 2016, 04:42:39 AM
So if you have any ideas of some programs that should help users of Bitcoin , please shoot ! I'm open for ideas .
(Projects that I will make will obviously be Open source so there is no need to worry , I'm not here to infect anyone. Just to help the community)
Remember when windows 7 has a Gadget feature?
Did you know that feature still exists in win 8 and 10 Grin
Would be cool if you can make a gadget specifically made for Bitcoin
Maybe you can put Bitcoin live price checker that updates every 10 minutes or so
Maybe another feature to check your BTC balance by using blockchain API (Don't know if this is possible)
But hey, it worth the try Grin

When you say live price checker , do you mean something like preev.com ? If it's the case then It shouldn't be that hard to do .
Same thing goes for your second request, however for what comes to the Trading bot it may take sometime since it require a lot of work. It still can be done though, I may work on it after couple of months when I'm really available (All summer).
Yep, just like preev does Wink
But you don't have to open browser to just check the price Tongue
Since Windows gadgets runs on the background you can still do your daily activities without checking the browser very 5 seconds Grin
And maybe an alert too when the price drops at a certain level or when the price goes up Smiley
What Program language are you using to develop this request ?
Cheers Smiley

I'm using C# for almost everything honestly (for web, phone, desktop applications) , I just like it .

if i remember correctly, the sidebar (windows gadget) in windows 7 was a security hole and was removed in the patches.

p.s. i finally saw someone else who uses C# like me Smiley i would love to see your source codes
20937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DICE??!! on: March 23, 2016, 04:47:20 AM
Do you have a lucky number?

i thought i had a lucky number, and i have played a lot with that number but as it turned out it was and illusion Smiley and i ran out of luck.
i used 2.13x as my multiplier and had a good short run but i think i exhausted my luck on that number because it never worked again for me
20938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: March 23, 2016, 04:44:48 AM
A lot of people here gamble to become rich, but some do it for fun.

The question is, if you wake up tomorrow with 50 million dollars, would you still gamble for fun, or would you forget about gambling and do other stuff? Personally I think I would still gamble. I do it now, and I know I realistically will never get rich off gambling, because I barely do it and I don't risk much money, just for fun sometimes, to test my luck.
So if I had a lot of money, I would do bigger gambles, but they would still enter in the "for fun" amount (for the new 50 million standard). For example, gambling 1K a month would be irrelevant, and winning with a 1K bet can give you big rewards if you are lucky. It would still be fun, in fact more fun, and it would be as non risky as it is now, in terms of going financially bankrupt.

of course i would still continue gambling even if i were super rich. actually if i were rich i could take more risks and have more fun even if i lose i wouldn't mind because there is always more where that came from.
20939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had one chance... on: March 23, 2016, 04:38:29 AM
How would you like to make a boatload of money and help take down the Federal Reserve Bank within 5 years? Grin

this is the worst way of introducing bitcoin to others Cheesy
because if bitcoin price doesn't go up as advertised by you in the first place or worse than that if price goes down as it does from time to time, then you will become the bad guy who scammed them out of their money especially if they are newbies with 0 interest in bitcoin and checking a price chart.
20940  Economy / Speculation / Re: How can we make bitcoin's price only RISE and never FALL? on: March 23, 2016, 04:32:49 AM
this is how any market works, even the oldest markets like Gold or forex or Dollar vs Eur prices change by going up and down. that is the nature of each market that is changing by "supply and demand"

the only difference is the size of the changes, and since bitcoin is a small market in comparison with other markets the changes are bigger.
