Bitcoin is the global currency so it is most important part in our everyday life. As it is valuable asset so we should have a good knowledge about it. If we can learn the importance of this Digital currency especially bitcoin then it will be very easy to adopt it rapidly all over the world. So i just want to focus on learning and then we can speed up or spread it to whole world.

it is definitely a strategy but generally depend on individuals interest. Your assets and experience address how much risk you can carry. Particularly those who are novice in the trading site they should reduce margin as much as possible and set stop loss so that they can survive in the platform.

It's hard to believe that we are down to March 2017 prices. This is great opportunity for new investors to get in tho.
I agree but there are a few problems prohibiting me from investing... and it's something I find rather serious. Not really alluring to invest in unsigned wallets, regardless the rate, value, smiling and talking or how much marketing there is. To me, that's like downloading pirated software.... you have to trust the uploader more than the software you are downloading itself. In crypto, you have to trust the software more than the developer; they often bail but moreover, others take the project over. This means that the developers don't stand with their own work and leave it on a "at your own risk" basis... I like keeping risk for the craps table. In other words, SHTF, they can just tell you that the wallet is unsigned, should have investigated the implications of running an unsigned node and they're off the hook. The price is alluring but the trust level isn't... at this point, HempCoin is a better investment; at least their wallets are signed. Funny thing is, THC is based off of PIVX but their (THC) wallets are signed... and PIVX isn't?? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) That's really funny to me but maybe someone can shed some light as to why I should risk using unsigned wallets... no cheerleading please.

You have serious issues with your head. Of course you know, no one who matters gives a crap what you say,t even less about your butt hurt feelings. You just sound like a religious heretic who been saying the end is coming for the past 2,000 years. Get a life, loser. Obvious deception! Please don't let others' words blind your eyes and cognition! This is the obvious pre-dig! The number of blocks generated before is very impressive! Then the comer gains instability! A scam! Please verify! I believe! In the near future! The author should post again at bitcointalk! Because this is a very unstable team!

If it works via dumping and importing private keys in the new wallet, then all the power to you. Most of the time. this is how it works... take the private key from the now defunct (sometimes) coin and import it in the new wallet. It works like this most of the time but this is going from PoS to PoS/MN, not a light move by any means. Not like BTC going to BCH, there wasn't much of a technological shift with this. Same with ETH/ETC, not much of a technological shift; only tweaks.
This is much more complex than BTC going to BCH... I am sure many know more than I do about this. However, I always advocate for the simplest solution possible. Devs also didn't state that importing private keys would work... so I assume it won't.
Personally, I just prefer playing it safe and don't fear my government at all.

Replied. Note to anyone else: If you don't want to use BitTrex to handle the swap, when the developers recommends all holders & wallet operators to do so, if you refuse to do as they ask you, don't complain if you lose your coin or something bad happens. I am not the most technical guy out there but I know how use wallets, do updates, some coin splits I can do to but I am also smart enough to know when I am in over my head and when I should let the experts handle the more technical stuff. Plus, if the exchange messes up, you will be compensated... if you screw up, you're up Schitt's Creek without a paddle. Your only other options is hiring a professional; which you are still not guaranteed anything and you still have to pay the guy even if he screws up. If you are a wallet operator, holding coin for others and lack the skill, then that is still your problem. By 2020, no one will be able to do anything crypto without KYC, so either do it or find another occupation. It is already becoming a thing, I had to do it a few times even just to keep selling coin, not even buying. Every reputable exchange I deal with, requires it and I don't deal with shady outfits anymore. Sorry if this sounds harsh but it is what it is... step up for yourself or step aside for those who do. As a wallet operator, it is your duty to keep up with development. ... thanks for reply, so something like: listaddrressgroupings *** dumpprivkey ####... ____________________ importprivkey ####... will be working OK with the new wallet? Doubt it and would not recommend it either. This is a whole new wallet and therefore, will not work with previous versions. This means your coin should be in an exchange, namely BitTrex to handle the switch. This happens a lot when coins dramatically change algorithms. sent you PM, plz see it, ty

Now its 50k for masternode? ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) I'm sure most of the community would not have agreed to such dumb request. This is too dumb. I'm out, this is too much of a scam. lol, see ya ! The only dumb one here is the moron who can't scrape together 50k coins. Don't blame others for your short comings dude.... for some, 50k coins is a joke. Some bitch it requires too much coin to start a MN, this is the broke crowd. Some bitch it requires not enough coin to start a MN, this the rich crowd. I think it was a fair decision.

Does anyone know how the fork works? Can i Import my wallet.dat into new Wallet? I installed new Wallet and Override my 17373gb blockchain and dont want to Download again :O
Don't panic!!! The new wallet won't overwrite the old one!! You will likely have to download the whole chain again. Unless the chain has been reset, then you don't need to download the whole chain. in essence, there will be two coins but the former will be destroyed so to say. It is a completely new wallet, not compatible with the former one. Shit happens, welcome to crypto, step up or step aside. If you step aside, others will step up, no worries here. All the best.

As a wallet operator, it is your duty to keep up with development. If you lack the skill, you are often encouraged to stay on a web wallet, which requires zero skill from the user other than to send/receive.
This is also a very serious update, hardforks are not something everyone wants to deal with. So sending to an exchange is something the average user would do since doing it locally requires some computer skills. You can still do it yourself but it would be a lot more difficult; most don't understand how HF's work. We are going to go on a whole new wallet; soft forks usually only require a wallet update.
Now, we are going to a whole new wallet entirely, the old wallet will become unusable; process of a hard fork. This is not an easy, brainless process for most, so using an exchange is the fastest, easiest way for most to do it. Investors don't like screwing around with it, nerds can do it on their own.
I DO NOT advocate doing it yourself but if anyone is so adamant on not letting Btrex do it, be ready to spend some coin or learn. If you lack computer skills, it's not worth it and playing with 6-7 figures is not something the average investor wants to risk on.
If you do not possess the skill to do it, it is your duty to find someone who can; BitTrex being the easiest/cheapest solution. Other than that you can spend a lot of time learning how to do it or spend thousands to pay for a professional to do it.
Whining, it's all it is. You have a great opportunity that most would never have, yet find ways to whine. #FirstWorldProblems
Smoke another one or as much chronic as you need to chill, this is HempCoin, your negativity is not welcome.

To anyone having issues downloading the chain on the core wallet:
If doing a fresh install on Windows 7 computer; I assume it would be similar for a few older and a few newer versions:
Step 1 - Make hempcoin.conf. Open a notepad and save it with the name hempcoin.conf Make sure it is NOTEPAD!! Go to the first page of this thread and get the nodes, paste those nodes in this file and save it.
Step 2 - If from a failed attempt to install, make sure you deleted the whole hempcoin folder in username/appdata/roaming To finish with the .conf file, you need to allow your computer to let you change file extensions. Also, allow you computer you let you see hidden files and folders in folder options; grade school computer skills. Hit the windows key and type in "file x" as well as "hidden" for a quick access to do those changes. Don't forget to undo the previous steps once done, to return to your regular, safer settings.
Step 3 - When you saved the file in step 1, you essentially made hempcoin.conf.txt Once you've allowed to change the extensions, do a slow two click on the file to rename it; remove the .txt and you got a perfectly working .conf file! Alternatively, if you don't know how to two-click, right click the file chose rename. Alternatively, open the file's properties and change it there.
Step 4 - Cut the file and paste it in the roaming folder. If you have set your computer to let you see hidden files and folders, simply click on the windows icon, click on your username, then you will see a faded appdata folder, then click on roaming. You should see your hempcoin folder in there. Click on the hempcoin folder and do a ctrl-v or right click - then paste.
Step 5 - Install as an admin and allow for public networks once prompted. You may get an error when installing which will cause a CTD but try it again as an admin. It should work for some reason, happened to me a few times; if anything will break, leave it to me to break it without even trying. Trust me, it wasn't working otherwise on another computer without allowing public networks. If you trust your own computer's security, this shouldn't be an issue. I use a standalone computer for staking coins; only connects to stake and transact.
This should work with any coin's core wallet to which you are having difficulty establishing a connection to; though each have their own nodes and .conf files. I do not use nor do I endorse web wallet for anything..... ever. This fix worked on 2 separate computers running a fully updated Windows 7 SP1.
Downloading a full core wallet is like climbing to the top of a mountain, it sucks to do but once you done it, you feel like you accomplished something worthwhile.
All the best, hope this works, even if for just one person, it's worth it.

If you are using electrum, try re-installing from seed. Not sure I could say anything else, I hope it helps. Can't guarantee it will work either... it's a far cry in the dark to try but worth the shot. I've seen and done some pretty uncanny recoveries myself. Until the BitcoinTalk community can rally behind a solution, you're better off to wait. You cannot lose those coins through age, they are yours forever; well, unless you give away your keys. If you're going to learn anything out of this, learn this: The Golden Rule: Thou Shalt Not Giveth Thy Privath Keys, To Anyone Unless You Know Them Like Thy Mother Knows You. You can't be too trusting in this business, everyone's out to get ya. Remember the 1,800's Gold Rush, if you know anything about it.... most who made fortunes, never made it home. It's not your gold until it's in your possession... if you let anyone else appropriate your assets, you deserve to lose them. Hoped there was something else I could do but I doubt it; once you give away private keys, you're at someone else's mercy. All the best to ya... ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

Well, if it is a scam, the authors aren't too smart by putting their address at the bottom of their landing page. BTC GPU SAINT LLC.| SUITE 6000, 100 KING ST W, TORONTO, ON M5X 1E2, CA | SUPPORT@BTC-GOLD.INFO | +18252512041 © BTC-GOLD.INFO 2017 It's funny looking at Whois database for electrum-gold.org because they paid for domain protection through namecheap. Though if you search whois for BTC-Gold.info, it yields yet more information about the person running it. Again, if this is a scam, this scammer sucks at scamming; can't hide his trail worth a shit. Not saying it's legit but if it is a scam, the scammer wreaks of leaks. If I had chump change on my wallet I'd try it but I don't, none of my addresses have little coin worth to risk on.

Problem solved for now...
Downgraded from 3.0 back to 2.9.3... that's it. Haven't sent anything yet but will screw around with it tomorrow.
Now, I have to go wash the skid marks off of my underwear.

Hello again!! ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) As the title implies, I am stuck in an update to 3.0 from 2.9.3 and I am not sure why. Could it be because I encrypted the wallet and didn't unencrypt before updating? The computer returned me this error... https://www.screencast.com/t/ZluA5TrmLI did all I could with it; installed & ran as administrator, looked online for answers, still nothing. I installed 3.0.0 to another computer and failed install with pretty much the same error. Both computers are Windows 7 64-Bit Should I just re-install Electrum from seed after reformatting my computer from an older version? Stupid thing didn't even come with system restore... so a total reformat is the only way out at this point. >:-( I feel stupid for not even worrying about system restore, that could have fixed it; usually comes with any computer and fixes many issues. I am just worried the "login encryption password" would forbid me from restoring from seed... but I am not wallet expert. I have both my seed and passwords ... but I still need to reformat, can't have a non-restoreable computer. Just hate doing things like this... stresses me out ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello,
I am new to PIVX and I have a question about the wallets. Is there a reason why the windows exes are unsigned but zipped versions are? I am far from the best with wallets, I know enough to get by but normally if I download a wallet, it doesn't say "unsigned" on it. Other than Electrum Cash but that was a necessary evil; a one time deal.
Can someone give me an explanation or offer some guidance?
I just noticed I installed 64bit unsigned and are a bit leery into sending coins to it.
Thanks in advance.

It worked!! Thank you so much pooya!! =D https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/transaction/baef4fcc32b27980debce8ee1e660a486226aaf7539217a6a7aeff0f6dd9c62cJust 1 confirmation yet but it's all I need and from what I read, BCH is harder to mine. I was on a BCH server yesterday, no doubt about it but being on auto-select, likely threw me off of a BCH server since there are Electrum servers in the list also. Therefore, I would say it's a good idea to chose "manually select" server from the get go and pick it early. Which I just had to right click on any server to use any server I chose but I never had to change a server in a crypto wallet before. It was a learning experience for me. Again mr. pooya, thanks for rescuing my BCH coins!!

Thanks for your reply and sorry for my dicking around but both my Per. Life and Bis. Life are overly busy right now. Pardon my poor terminology; there is no bug/crash report. The second I click Next after entering my password, it freezes; Program is Not Responding. Prompting the need to x out of it to shut it down since it does nothing but limbo. See, I was looking at that very folder and thought of deleting the whole Electron Cash folder and starting from scratch. I will backup the files you speak of, delete and try install again. The thought did not once cross my mind that a password could cause problems; though I get it would make things simpler. My passwords are usually rather long too. If this fails, I should be able to start over on another computer though, right? I could use the computer where my empty Electrum wallet is located now. Though I would prefer avoiding this right now... Thanks for the help man, I will come back later to update on progress. when a crash happens you should provide a debug report or something and i have no idea how to do it for a python app under windows ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) what you can try in order to fix your issue is this: go to C:\Users\{user name here}\AppData\Roaming\Electron cash make a backup of your "config" file then go to ...\wallets and take a backup of your wallet too. now delete both files from here and restart Electron cash and restore your wallet from seed again, this time skip giving it a password. make sure you have connected to a "bitcoin cash server" this time.
