2101  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2016, 03:22:01 AM
Yeah, gold has a history of 5000+ years, as others have mentioned and bitcoin has a history of what, 7 years?  So I think it's a little too early to make this kind of call.  My vote is for gold, though I do like bitcoin a lot.  There's nothing quite like the beauty of a nicely-minted gold coin or a gold ring.

Yes, gold is one of the oldest and best investment product for any one to consider. It is most safer investment because its prices will move very slow and study so it is more suitable for less risky investors. Also every one should have some investment in this product because during market trouble times it will help a lot. Bitcoins is very high volatile and its prices will move in both directions very fast so I prefer not to miss the chances to take this advantage. I will also put some of my money in bitcoins to make some quick profit. Basically one should invest in both and % will be depends on their risk factor.
Gold is not exactly an investment imo. Price fluctuation of gold is not something that can give you huge profit. It is more like 'secure' way of freezing your capital.
Because you know that gold price won't ever reach bottom - some people might be more comfortable with it than with bitcoin.
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: April 23, 2016, 02:36:55 AM
I recently read interview with legendary Las Vegas sportbook manager Sonny Reizner and he said:

"You don't even have to be especially smart to win at sports betting today... the house can be put at a decided disadvantage...
No sports book can have all the information when posting a number, and that's when the house is at risk...But the player has another very big advantage: The player can pass.
The player doesn't have to bet on every proposition. The house can't pass."

This being said I think the best and probably only option if you want to really profit from gambling is sport betting.

2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for new dice game ? on: April 23, 2016, 02:23:21 AM
Simpler, lower house edge, great promo and ither stuffs that other dice sites don't promote. You gotta have those if you want your dice game to be more popular than those who are already popular today. I have seen a couple of dice but I agreed that none beats PD.
House Edge is not always the key for making your Dice site ultra popular.
People tends to ignore HE for most of the time if House Edge is around 1% then they don't care if it is 0.1% or 1%.
There are multiple legit Dice sites I know with 0.1% House Edge and they are not the biggest and well known.
2104  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cryptopit Cryptocurrency Gambling and Gaming on: April 23, 2016, 02:18:58 AM
My first impression: why are you not using https? Secondly why is your Giveaway not working? There is not possible to claim that 0.0000005 BTC because captcha is not showing, ever.
Also I would like an option to test the games without actually depositing.
2105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for new dice game ? on: April 23, 2016, 02:12:24 AM
In primedice and rollin, if you bet 50%, you either choose 0 to 50 or 51 to 100. I want to choose 25 to 75. Like if you want to bet 90% you either choose 0 to 10 or 91 to 100. I want to choose in between.

About the withdrawal. Put option to withdaw to paypal/moneygram/neteller/western union.

Setting withdrawal services is not easy task.
The reason no Bitcoin related casino (I am not sure about FIAT operating casinos out there) is not using PayPal and other corporate centralized services etc. as their payment processor service is because it is not possible from the legal point of view. For example if you are US Citizen and you use PayPal to fund your online casino account you can be prosecuted as online gambling is illegal in the US.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: April 22, 2016, 10:30:53 AM
Sport betting made my cry when I was constantly betting on FC Barcelona and they consicutively loses match after match.
That match Barcelona lost 1-2 to Valencia was the last one I ever bet on Barca.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair dice - real or bulshit ? on: April 22, 2016, 10:20:58 AM
I am not all that techy and I can't say that I know every detail of Provably Fair system. I know basics and understand how this system works.
However there were cases in the past that users found a way to tinker with Provably Fair system and manipulate outcome of a roll (Hufflepuff incident).
And now my question: can this scenario be reversed somehow? So that House could in the theory manipulate the rolls?
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling is Exploding on: April 22, 2016, 06:12:22 AM
It is funny how most countries has very strict laws against online gambling or don't allow people to gamble online at all.
And it is quite possible to monitor if people are using FIAT. After all bank transfers, debit/credit cards and Paypal - all these methods can be associated with your ID.
With bitcoin it is a lot harder to track you or even tell if you are gambling online or not. And that is the reason behind BTC gambling boom.
2109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: April 22, 2016, 05:08:57 AM
Double-zero roulette has a house edge of 5.26%, single-zero roulette has a house edge of 2.70%, and French roulette (with en prison or la partage rule) has a house edge of 1.35%, all significantly higher than dice. So the best strategy is to avoid roulette and to play on games with lower edge.

your maths is hundred percent right. but please explain the phenomenon that dice apps on moneypot with HE of 0.02% to 0.1% are almost empty or even closed their sites already

there are roulette players who will never touch dice and it does not matter to them how low the HE of a dice site is

yup. people who play on roulette is not about trying to win on the house edge. they just enjoy on the thrill and the excitement of playing on the roulette. however, that does not also mean that they plan to lose too. so we are looking for a better way to play the game.
It's not really an exciting game. It is pretty boring if you ask me. Spin the ball waiting for it to hit a number is really not that impressive.
And playing poker, holding cards in your hand or throwing dice is more thrilling and impressing for you - and looks cooler?
Because gambling is not about visual department being awesome, it is about thrill of the outcome and potential profits you can get.
This is gambling not video game or VR app. If you are so thirsty of visual effect I guess instead of Roulette Slots might be good for you.
2110  Economy / Economics / Re: Understanding Currency (USD) vs Currency Derivatives (BTC) on: April 22, 2016, 05:00:21 AM
-snip-

It's important to understand that there is no such thing as a decentralized currency, because for a currency to have its own intrinsic value, it needs a credible authority to provide a legal framework - the rule of law - against which standards for commerce are established. There also needs to be mechanisms for enforcement of said laws.
So you are basically saying that bitcoin and every other cryptocurrency is useless and has no intrinsic value because it is not backed by 'law'?
But bitcoin real value is blockhain and its ability to be the best and the bigger information storing ledger on Earth - that doesn't count?
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: April 22, 2016, 04:23:44 AM
Reaching 2k replies but its the same over and over again.
It is to be expected that this thread will be milked out by people. As it is an open question topic. But there is nothing new that could be said about it.
But again - once in a while someone will introduce some new and fresh way to be able to stop thinking about gambling so it is not totally pointless to keep this thread around.

If the amount of House Edge was the only factor gamblers would pick their games then the only games played would be: Video Poker, Black Jack and Dice (when house set HE to less than 1%)
My point is: it is not always what is the best HE option for you that matter - but there are more factors - mainly your comfort zone while playing game you like.
2113  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bovada Poker now accepting bitcoin! on: April 22, 2016, 03:58:06 AM
Wow, just got an email from Bovada poker stating that is now accepting bitcoin.  I can't login to my account for some reason, so if there is anybody here who has an account , would you confirm that for me and post the details...maximum, minimums, times, terms....etc.  If it is true, then it's pretty big news; it's big news for Bovada and for bitcoin!
Pardon my ignorance but what exactly is Bovada Poker and why we should be exited about them accepting bitcoin payments?
It is not like top they are in top 5 world poker sites or something, right?

Maku - You have posted 19 posts in gambling. If this happens again we will have to suspend you from Signature campaign.
Are you sure, Fortune Jack? Because, I counted 23 posts in the gambling section since last week. Are you sure you got this number right?

EDIT: Anyway, my post count starts at 1791 for current week. Please don't mess up my post count again.

Dear User,

We are counting the posts from the next day you receive payment.  You indeed posted 23 times since 14 April but 19 times since 15 April. Please keep this in mind and note that the minimum post amount is 25 posts.

Thank you.
OK, that is new and unexpected rule you have enforced there. It wasn't clearly stated anywhere in the Opening Post that counting of the posts starts from them next day.
It was logical to me that after payment, new period starts without any delay. But if that is your rule I will gladly comply and keep that in mind. Thank  you clarifying this.

2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is there any legal way to bet BTC in the USA on: April 20, 2016, 03:36:04 AM
The title states it Please let me know?
Online gambling is illegal in the US. Not only Bitcoin gambling, but all money gambling in general. What’s allowed?
Some free online games, fantasy leagues, and Indian gaming sites that aren’t strictly defined as Internet gambling.

2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: April 20, 2016, 03:01:46 AM
So.... how much have you win or loss gambling ?? And what did you stake ?
I've lost about $60 so far but im planning to win it back. Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.
A saying well said, however i still need to learn it since my greed is my downfall. Guys and girls
how much money have you made or lost gambling ? Any pointers or warnings ?
If you really want to win more than you lost usually then I feel like there are only two options, to play - Poker or Sport Betting.
Forget about every purely chance based games like Roulette, Dice or Slots. But even if you are exptional poker player and amazingly knowledgeable sport bettor it is still gambling.
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be profitable in the long run! It is possible! on: April 19, 2016, 05:32:27 AM
Gambling can be profitable on a long term but for most people this will not happen because its luck you need and not many people will have this luck, you only have to gamble one time wrong and you will lose money that's the game.
The problem is - you can be lucky for a short period of time or couple bets. But you can't be lucky all the time.
Luck - is what we call like to call a favorable outcome of our games can't be maintained, just run a computer simulation of DICE rolling to see...
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Choose the Best Bitcoin Gambling Site? on: April 19, 2016, 04:46:39 AM
For me, provably fairness is a must. On top of that, reputation, house edge % and whether the games are fun are the three most important factor for me.
Provably fair is not a must, it is much more than that - it is industry standard. No one will gonna take seriously gambling site without this system implemented.
But there are cases when you simply can't have Probably Fair system in place - for example PF system won't work with live games like Roulette or Black Jack.
2120  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can someone provide a legit site for me to play? on: April 19, 2016, 04:24:01 AM

I will also like to advice you to avoid dice betting if you are new to this cos you might regret doing it.
Chances of you loosing your cash is higher than chances of you winning.
Don't be decieved buy the provably fair term they use to confuse you.

I will advice you rather go into playing poker or sports betting.
Do you have any proof that Provably Fair system is rigged or not working as an intended and could be manipulated by casino owners?
You realize that if that was really the case whole cryptoccurency gambling would be shaken to the ground?
