2101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: are all beginners like that? on: February 01, 2023, 08:18:45 AM
Is it really that hard to believe knowing how much attention crappy and useless cryptocurrency projects are getting? Like 99.9% of projects in this industry shouldn't even exist, yet newbies "invest" in them in the hopes of getting rich quick.
That is just it, I am not happy when I heard a friend that told me about how he was scammed because he invested in a project, my brother and I also were together not long ago after many years of not being together for some short time, he told me about how many projects he invested and fot scammed, I wish he had told me than him getting scammed more than ones, he did not even want to believe what I am saying about bitcoin and crypto now because of his past losses. Another are some people that will start trading without any knowledge than to use it to gamble and lose greatly from the start. Humans like to try to get rich quick, which are ways to lose fast.
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: January 31, 2023, 11:52:52 AM
Maybe that's because you were get used to it whenever you are not doing anything or couldn't keep yourself busy, that's actually a form of addiction if I am not mistaken as it is the one that came on your mind. That actually happened to me, whenever I feel bored not doing anything and my money isn't doing anything in my wallet.
This is what exactly I can say about this too, if I am not an addict, I can be lonely and not think of gambling, but if thinking of gambling, it could be the start or the continuation of my addiction. That aside, another thing is that he used all his monthly income money to gamble just at ones, that can also indicate the start or the continuation of an addiction.
2103  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 31, 2023, 08:40:28 AM
In gambling, anything can happen, even if you think you have a 99% winning percentage, but there is still a 1% chance that you will lose, and that mostly happens to him. The risk is much bigger than winning, but for sure he thinks that it is a sure win, so he bets on it. In sports, comebacks are not rare right now, unlike before, so for sure his emotion when the opponent got the winning points can't be explained. The lesson here is that we should bet what we can afford to lose. I am hoping that he is okay with losing such a huge sum of money.
The wise gambler will go for better odds like 1.5 or more, the best I have known lies in the range of 1.5 to 2 odds. Going for higher odds are risky while going for lower odds more than 1.2 is a way to lose your money in bank very soon because with low odds, you will want to use big amount of money to play bet and even if you win 5 or more times, 1 big loss will make you lose all you have won and your money. What the person will think later of is to add more money to bet again which he will lose again.
2104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Malicious social links on: January 31, 2023, 06:44:44 AM
Binance users should know by now that only the notification that they will be expecting that would be sent to them, example is if you withdraw or deposit into your Binance account, if stop loss or take profit has been triggered are the kind of notifications you will receive through email. There are other notification that Binance will send through in-app notification which you will know that you got the notification because you are using Binance app. You should do everything we can do to make sure we do not click on malicious links if you want to protect your coins.
2105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tether and BUSD and usd inflation for long term savings? on: January 29, 2023, 09:48:28 AM
In this period of time, I can advice you to just buy bitcoin because the price is still low.

I am newbie about saving investments on my private wallets and some market wallets (binance etc.).
Binance is an exchange, for trading and not for holding or saving coins. If you want to save coins, you should use a noncustodial wallet. Always know how to differentiate between wallet and exchanges and know what custodial wallets are too, only use the ones you can control your coins which are the noncustodial wallets, use only the trustworthy noncustodial wallet because some can be for scammers.
2106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: invest in bitcoin or altcoin? on: January 28, 2023, 10:47:36 AM
Invest in both, you can invest 70% on bitcoin while the remaining 30% on altcoins, consider altcoins to be gambling, make more research and find yourself good coins to invest. But do not be disappointed of you see the altcoin you invested on not to have expected result, or it may increase more. No one truly get only one crypto, but you can invest most on the dominate one which is bitcoin.
2107  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A fortunate story of a crypto mentor on: January 28, 2023, 10:40:54 AM
I am not ready to invest what I can afford to lose because I will invest nothing because I do not want to lose anything. But I have certain percentage I am investing on cryptocurrencies, I DCA when bitcoin is at $20000 down to $16000. I planned it very well and I did not invest during bear market. I invested one third of my money, expecting bitcoin to get to $17000 which can make me invest the remaining two third, I mean the % of the total money I want to invest on crypto. I will advice people not to invest more than they can afford to lose too, but this goes to beginners.
2108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My son, daughter, nephew wants to know about Bitcoin on: January 28, 2023, 07:12:57 AM
But the problem is that my family's younger children all study in primary label. Should we educate young children about Bitcoin or introduce them to Bitcoin?

Moreover, another important thing is that in my country cryptocurrency i.e. Bitcoin is a completely government banned currency. So should we teach our children about the banned currency?

Moreover, as time progresses, the interest of children towards Bitcoin is increasing day by day.  Would it be reasonable to keep young children away from Bitcoin in the context of my country?
It is a good thing if you start telling your children about bitcoin and how to stay away from scam from when they are young. Crypto is banned in your country, but why are you talking about it if it is totally banned? See how China banned bitcoin several times but it turned out that their citizens can still hold bitcoin as property, bitcoin is hard to ban.
2109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do not invest in crypto from loans. on: January 28, 2023, 06:47:37 AM
so in my opinion, don't invest from borrowed money because there will be potential losses, what do you think, do you agree with me?
Borrowed money may not be a potential loss but there is probability that it can be a potential loss. If you borrow today, you will have to pay interest, the investment may not give you the profit needed to even pay the interest in short time, the investment can be of loss in a way the borrower will not be able to pay and this will result to problem as interest accumulate and the money to be paid become more. Investment can take months or years before substantial profit, the kind of money we can use to do this kind of investment should be the money that we have, not the one that we borrowed.
2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 28, 2023, 06:38:09 AM
Individuals are for the most part not careful enough when they use the internet, they assume whatever results they get on their searches or by using social media are curated and they do not need to make any effort to protect themselves, but we know better, we know that even if Google does what they can to filter the results they present to their users, scams will find their way in their results, and as such we need to make our own research about the casinos we may like to use as a way to reduce the chances of being scammed.
Are you sure google even filter anything? Only what I have known since many years ago is that google become a tech giant with their search engines that bring people closer to scammers while some are going to be scammed, google even openly advertising scam add which can be seen while using search engine to be the first result, some link ads are for scammers. A member that knows this forum should just go for one of the gambling sites that has active Ann thread on this forum and that have good reputation. As for search engine, you can just research what community forum say about gambling sites , or also to make use of 3 or more sites to look for the gambling site that appear in the three or all the sites you visit.
2111  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 27, 2023, 04:54:44 PM
People only use the VPN because they want to hide their IP address or else they want to access those games who are not supported with their country but of course better make sure to know firs t if the casino allowing to have this use of the VPN might have a chance that they will freeze your account or tag as suspicious because if you don't have an IP address that is in a single place and every configure you are doing are in the different country seems like to them you are doing a suspicious account.
That is true, people only use VPN to mask their location/country but it will not be good for gamblers to use VPN, gamblers needs to carefully read the gambling site terms be conditions an know if VPN is allowed or not, but what I have noticed is that the gambling sites I am using do not allow VPN, and all of them restrict people in some countries not to visit them, because of regulatory laws, they prefer not to mention VPN in term terms nd conditions, and if they even mention VPN, it is about not allowing of their customers to make use of VPN to access their gambling site.
2112  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 27, 2023, 01:09:16 PM
It's not a false bull or bull trap, as the tendency is already lasting for a whole month, and probably it will. I believe if it were a trap it wouldn't have lasted for longer than one week. Bitcoin is retaking its previous position from last year, before the time seasonal holidays started, that is usually when people cashout their funds to travel and buy gifts, consequently crashing BTC. However, there can be bull traps soon on Bitcoin's way towards superior price ranges, such as 40,000$ and 50,000$.
Even if it is a trap, people that invested at $16000 are gaining now, the price would have to reduce back before another unrealised loss. The price of bitcoin may fall below $20000 again, but why should people call it a trap? Anyone that want to invest when the price of bitcoin is significantly low like this time and do not want any unrealised loss should just never invest. Some people do not want to think that $100000 is possible by next year or next two years, they are only talking about bull trap when the price of bitcoin is even still low.
2113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: we always regret once the price go up on: January 27, 2023, 01:01:26 PM
  • fear of price going to zero
You can just go for bitcoin and have no fear that the price is going to zero, some altcoins are good too but bitcoin should remain most in the percentage of money allocated. There are some coins that their price can become zero and the coin become a dead coin. Some coins even do not need its price to go to zero before investors will lose all their money, there are digits that are lesser than 1 like 0.00001 which can make the coin become useless as people dump the coin.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 27, 2023, 08:27:22 AM
I am not saying those points are not important but they are not the most important, I think that by far the most important aspect forum members are looking on the casino in which they want to gamble is for a good reputation, if the casino has a bad reputation and it is known for not paying their customers or by creating all kind of excuses to not pay the money they owe to their clients then all the points you brought do not matter at all.
All points are important, if a casino is not trustworthy, the casino will lose customers as some customers will no longer want to make use of the casino for gambling again and also discouraging people to use the casino, but a casino with good reputation may have low or reduced customers too just because they take other important things as not necessary, that is why new casinos do have people because they have better promotional offers and they do not joke with other things that can bring in customers. Reputation is most important truly though but casino can have low customers because of others requirements to bring in customers that they overlooked, like people from some countries not having a means to deposit is another

But here are some few casinos that are genuine
1.Trustdice
2. Duelbit
3. Rollbit
4. Roobet
These are some of the reputable gambling sites but there are many reputable gambling site on the first page of gambling board, only 1xbit we do not recommend. I can also recommend livecasino.io, stake and others that I have used before.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Online Gambling Fraud on: January 27, 2023, 08:19:16 AM
You are right. I know that something is too good to be true after I've experienced the scam myself, so that makes me very careful if I see any good offers from anywhere. That's what makes me feel, "oh, this is not good because something is not right I feel."

Sometimes our feelings will tell us that what we see will not match reality and after we search for more info, it turns out that it is true that it is a form of scam.
The experience also matters, there are some that will not look like scam because the scammer is not asking of money but a pin, code, one time password or any necessary digit needed to withdraw money from your account, if given to them, your money will be withdrawn, the scammers are not having sympathy but they will withdraw all. You are right that it is good to avoid anything that seems too good to be true too, scammers are making use of something like that to scam people, that is why I am no more surprised that people are scammed like this.

There is no chrome extension to receive notification, I have been using the telegram notification bot and it is very good and I make the links on of the telegram notification to be directly accessed by the browser when I click on it.

You can try LoyceV notification bot too [new topic] LoyceV's notification bot
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: January 26, 2023, 08:15:39 AM
I'm a big fan of "Trustdice" casino, and that's my number 1 casino when it comes to online gambling, followed by some other trusted and reputable one, such as Duelbit.com, Stake.com, bitcasino.io, Freebitco.in (old favorite) and Roobet.com. Because I make sure I gamble on the casinos which has active presence on this forum, so that in times of difficulty, I can have my issue resolved fast on time, which is one good advantage of gambling on the casinos here on the forum
Having a good experience with Trustdice is nice, I too see Trustdice to be a good casino, they have good games to play, but we should not become addicted to the games. I have tried Livecasino.io, Roobet, Rollbit and Stake and Duelbit, they are all good. I have seen gambling sites that people continue to post good on their ann thread to be good, but just only one on this forum which I still do not like is 1xbit and it is because of the red trust the gambling site has from other users.
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 26, 2023, 07:22:26 AM
If your friend have a gambling addiction online casino, he can just use self exclusion feature because all of reputable and trusted online casino always have this feature to make sure their gamblers doesn't have addiction problem. The fault is on your friend, actually he need to learn about self control and time management, he shouldn't gamble at anytime or in whole day, maybe your friend is a jobless.
Do not deceive yourself or do not be deceived, it is just because you were never an addict before. Although self-exclusion can help but not in an easy way, it can help when your family stepped in, know that you are addicted and trying all possible ways for you to stop. For oneself, it is not easy, you may not use self-exclusion and you may leave gambling, but if you are an addict, you can opt-in for self-exclusion and still later feel like gambling and register on another gambling site again and again. To stop gambling, or to stop addiction, it starts from within yourself, not by activating self-exclusion. But having the discipline and opt-in for self-exlclusion would be a good option.
2119  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: January 26, 2023, 07:15:34 AM
What I would like to see in a casino is that they give players more options to win, for example that they have contests, if they have discord that they keep doing raffles all the time to win even a little bit of bitcoin, or a little bit of a cryptocurrency so that it can be played, if the player loses a lot, he should give him the option of putting another coin in it to appease when playing, because that motivates a player a lot, but if he loses and loses and they don't give him benefits, a player goes to other casinos looking for more benefits.
Casinos do have promotional offers like rackback and some others, gambling sites do give cashback offers too, only some gambling sites that might be new may not give this offe. Because of these offers, some people prefer to play. As for cashback, it has been what I have used many times before, it has its pros and cons in a way the cons have more chances to occur than the pros, I do not see it as important on a gambling site anymore, but probably some other players may still like it.
2120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 26, 2023, 07:07:47 AM
Chelsea's points gap is 10 with Manchester United, who are in fourth place in the points table. Firstly, it is very difficult to close the gap of 10 points. Secondly, I would say teams like Tottenham, Liverpool, and Brighton continue to push for Champions League qualification. And so even if United and Newcastle drop points, it will be much harder for Chelsea to break into the top four of the table. It is almost impossible for them. Unless a miracle happens we won't see Chelsea in the top four of the table.
Not only that, Manchester United is also better and their are better competitors with what Chelsea is playing, it is becoming more possible that Chelsea is not going for Champions League by next season, but this might change, just that the likelihood of it to be changed is small. I expect Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham to compete more for Champions League, I do not see Chelsea among too, they will likely go for Europa.

There is a little improvement on Chelsea squad when they played Liverpool last weekend and I am very sure Graham Potter must have taken note of whichever lapse observed in the team during the match with the hope of making possible amendment
Chelsea had improvement but they were unable to score just a single goal, their ball possession is not far away from Liverpool. If you check the premier league table, Chelsea and Liverpool are following each other with the same 29 points, playing no goal match is not a surprise or if they draw it with goals, but scoring would have been better than no goal.
