2101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World's First Kids Cartoon about Bitcoin on: May 17, 2023, 12:44:03 AM
This is impressive OP. At least, there is now an educational content and material in the form of cartoon entertainment for kids. I know and believe they would find it interesting. This however agrees with the sayings that says "catch them young". Kids like cartoon very much and as such, the cartoon video would help instilling the bitcoin knowledge in them as they continue to watch it more often. Kids are always curios about what they have watched and would want to know about it.

These days generational kids are very smart and intelligent. They easily get along with things which they have learnt and would want to do a practical on what they have watched or seen. Watching the cartoon video would arouse their interest in wanting to practically get engaged with bitcoin activities  such as carrying out transaction and other related activities as well.

I will commend the efforts of Tylor Stevens for this wonderful idea put together to promoting the bitcoin movement amongst the kids. It is a good move to catching them young.
2102  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 16, 2023, 10:43:16 PM
This are two contrasting situations. Your post is talking about a scamming scheme where people are lured into betting on a rigged game, they could do this by having one of the scammers pretend to be a player and win on their bets, just enough to make it believable, anyone who falls victim tries their luck and wins a little amount, not a serious loss for the scammers, but just enough to keep them playing, if they keep playing they start taking their money gradually till the person tires out or runs out of cash.
Online gambling on reputable websites is different from this. The house always wants to win but has to be provably fair, to not scam players. There exist some scam gambling websites, so players should always verify before depositing into any platform.
- Jay -
Probably, I believe that was the situation in which the game went. Two scammers disguising themselves to play and win deceiving unsuspecting individuals to engage with them. Then they start a game then the player wins at first then again and again and after that, their schemes begin and the player begin to play at loss until the player ends up using all the funds on them to play before they get themselves and realizes they have been scammed but by then, it would be too late for them to withdraw.

Sometimes I wonder if these scammers go extra miles so as to have powers in convincing their prospective targets to fall for them. He do they even do that because this situation if this lady baffles me that should could not get herself until she was drained and get phone too gone.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Willing my bitcoin to my children on: May 16, 2023, 09:32:22 PM
Investment with bitcoin is good but it have a disadvantages when death occur, bitcoin is not a property which your children can inherits like other properties that is mark able, I notice that with all the I have being investing in bitcoin if mistakenly I return to my maker without by children knowing my bitcoin wallet security password, that means that my bitcoin will remain in my wallet till eternity, this gives me a nightmare, my kids are three and I want to have different wallet of bitcoin and WILL my bitcoin to them with the password of each of the wallet. Because my investment in bitcoin I will make sure that they have know bitcoin because of the wallets I will issue to them, because if they are not willing to learn bitcoin I can't force them to learn and understand bitcoin, but when I'm no more the will know the important of knowing the basic of bitcoin,  but I'm not planning to die now, but we don't what tomorrow will result out in the future.
If the amount of bitcoin you have is significant enough you want to inherit it to your kids then you need to teach them about it, now I know you do not want to force them if they are interested on it and that is fine for a great deal of topics, but when it comes to something this important you really need to teach them, after all how many kids do not like the idea of eating vegetables and yet the adults insist on it because it is for their own good? I see this in the same way, so teach them how to recover your coins and get rid of those nightmares which keep you awake at night.

Basically, knowing some of the fundamentals of bitcoin is very necessary. So as to have idea how it works. So, you can teach your children how bitcoin is and how it works. For the Start to arouse their interest, you just give them the basic tips about bitcoin do not force it on them and watch how they pick interest in it. They would become curious to know more about it and at that point in time, you can put them  through the process of knowing more about bitcoin but should not let them know you have that as a will for them otherwise they would act smart on you if your kids are the type that she's too curious to get down to every details as they want.

I believe after they must have been knowledgeable enough about bitcoin and be able to control themselves enough if they get to know about the will then you will be able to let them know but do not tell them where it is kept.
2104  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Paxful Don Come Back Again on: May 16, 2023, 02:52:30 PM
I saw this some days ago and I am happy about that. I seems they had to go back to their drawing board to make new strategies in Services delivery which would help build their organization to the level they desire. I am delighted that they took such step and it was in favour of all who mean well to the organization.

Sometimes, such move is good to take in other to restrategies to gain more momentum and focus for which I believe they have already done and I know they would render optimum services this time around.

Congratulations to them.
2105  Economy / Gambling / Re: What all are your considerations before picking your go to sportsbook? on: May 16, 2023, 02:39:55 PM

1. Security - getting paid is by far most important.

2. Working with the forum. This is a player's thread and books are held responsible for their actions. Questions are asked of books concerning number of employees, time in business, experience, poster problems, etc. If a book is going to ignore a player's thread, they will be severely downgraded. Most books are very easy to work with.

The following cannot be quantified as to importance since being highly detrimental in one category may supersede other criteria used.

3. Poster review - poster review is much more important at bitcointalk than other forums, but other forums are also read. A high review from a new book will weigh less than the review of a book that's been in existence 2+ years.

4. Anonymous - one of the reasons that bitcoin books are used is to stay anonymous. There may be times where it is necessary to question players but it should be a minimum.

6. Payout speed - If the average is longer than one hour, a book will be downgraded. One hour is sufficient due to possible grading errors. A large book is dealing with a significant amount of money along with a huge player base.

8. Traffic  - time in business along with amount of players that a book has gives us a large sample size.

These points you have listed I hold them high as they are amongst the basic criteria  one needs to look into before getting involved with any of the sports book.
Ability to pay out wins timely and with full effect determine how capable and reliable they are. Of lately, there have been complaints of delayed payment as a result of demand for KYC by some casinos because of the wind from the players which they termed suspicious and underaged just to cover up their lapses.

If a casino is always covering up or avoiding to answer questions as regards their existence, then you should know that there is something fishy about them and at such should be very much careful or better still,do away with them.

Another point as you have stated that needs to be properly looked into is the reviews. Players these days finds it very difficult to look into these areas as that would guide them through to Knowing more on the existence of the casino if they have good reputation since they started. Here one could be able to have an insight on how they treat their customers and also how responsive their customers Service works because gamblers review here would tell how they are treated.

If all these are properly looked into, I believe most of these issues and complaints about sports book would minimize because they would judged according to their actions.
2106  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 16, 2023, 01:31:31 PM

This experience is amongst the reasons why you are advised to gamble with what you can afford to loss.
Before gambling, make out your daily gambling limit so as to avoid excess or going out of your gambling budget. Self control and discipline is another issue. Once one starts losing in the course of gambling, there is every tendencies that one would be tempted to continue so that one wins back all their loses which is near impossible in that course it would result to something else.

There is another point you made of the lady falling into the traps of roadside conmen. This is something similar to fake and scam casinos online looking for unsuspecting participants to make away with their funds. How could she have  stooped so low falling for unverified roadside gamblers. Anyways this is a lesson learnt so far. I trust she would never make such mistake in her life.

Indeed gambling is a choice and nobody is forced or coerced into gambling against their will. That is why it is restricted for individuals below 18years. So anyone getting into gambling is seen as a matured adult who is aware of the dangers and consequences involved.

Gamble responsibly!
2107  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 16, 2023, 12:17:44 PM
Is it safe or dumb to use your Credit card for online gambling because of free bonus rewards on signup and initial 3 months purchase? Will you take such risks with your card for such rewards? A friend informed me that some casinos gives better reward if you have a credit card with high credit score at around 800, he mentioned how he make 200$ from Freedom Flex after using over 600$. He also mentioned other like capital one

What are the disadvantages of using a credit card on online casinos? Any? Would you dare do such to earn more money?

From the looks, OP seems moved by the enticing rewards from the casino promising such bonus for using credit card on their casino but OP should also ask some questions too as to know the existence of such casino before taking part in such activities.
Just like the other poster had said, it is very stressful though to do a transaction from your card and you ask to confirm and they tell you It is not yet confirmed but from your end is is already shown that the casino already received your funds. That experience is very frustrating to have.

Another challenges I think should be put into consideration is possible card details leak. If such happens in the cause of using your credit card on your casino, I believe the hackers would spare nothing and would go along way to undo you to the fullest.

There are some scenarios better avoided than allowed to happen when one weighs both options left at hand. To be on the safe side, avoid using you credit card for such transactions.
2108  Economy / Gambling / Re: What all are your considerations before picking your go to sportsbook? on: May 16, 2023, 10:51:44 AM
Long ago, I had created a list of sportsbooks with presence on bitcointalk along with a few categories to help fellow bitcointalk members look through them and decide on which sportsbook to choose. That list has been outdated for a while and I think it could be improved upon. Want to put some more effort in and work on it, in the later half of this week and weekend. I'd like to recreate a list with up to date information. Please do contribute on what categories would you like to see to compare sportsbooks.
Here's the old list

OP, in as much as you are doing a good job and trying to update the list to current active sports book, I would strongly advise you personally look into the sport book and conduct due diligence on them because any of the sport book listed be wanting as a result of their previous or past activities, it would definitely mess the whole list you have listed which I believe you would not like to see.
For me, sports book with the following features I would want to see;

KYC free,
Active live support not bot support,
Live online game where you watch and see as you play,
Flexible terms and conditions,
Ability to make refund deposit of a player on request if player is denied of win and at will decides to withdraw back deposit.

2109  Economy / Economics / Re: 199,983 companies went bankrupt in Europe because of the energy crisis in 2022 on: May 16, 2023, 10:21:31 AM
of the 199,983 companies, I doubt 100% of them you never heard of its name and you doubt they ever produce anything you consume in your life, many of this companies just have the name and have no actual products, their sole purpose of existing is just to seek quick money from IPO, or other private fund raising, to defrauding gullible investors generally, anyway it would bring nothing of values to anyone, may be bank who provide loan to them would be in trouble. I did say we did good by weeding out all of this good for nothing bad actor companies, nobody would be arrested for the fraud but it is still good to finally kick them out of existence. btw there is still 37,194,791,749 that is out of the wild and defrauding people everyday.

There are a ton of family-owned businesses and also really small-time companies that operate within a very small region, like a local town or county, and thus only serve that place. Most of these companies have balance sheets that are vulnerable to energy spikes so I would not be surprised if it was these companies that constituted a majority percentage of those that have gone bankrupt.

For sure these small companies are majorly the ones vulnerable to such situations as their income are very miniut compared to the bigger companies who roll in profit in millions and hundreds of thousands on daily basis.  I do not need any sooth Sayer to confirm that these companies are the ones to suffer from the outcome of energy spikes.

They would have their staff to pay, tax to pay and other maintenance and running cost so as to sustain their existence with the little profit they take in and it happens that there is all of a suden a hike in energy price in the country, I do not think they would be able to withstand it as most of them would need energy in running their various businesses and in a situation where they can not meet up with the energy bill to pay for coupled with the low profit they rake in, it will be obvious for them to continue and in that situation they would have no choice than folding up.
2110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Willing my bitcoin to my children on: May 16, 2023, 10:05:16 AM
Willing your bitcoin assets to your children is not a big deal. Your children should possibly be your next of kin as you wish but forcing them might just spoil the whole process of them learning and having knowledge about bitcoin.

I think you should just start by gradually getting them involved in bitcoin at first. Then gradually they would pick interest in it on their own. That saves you some stress of forcing them to learn about bitcoin.

Putting all assets in bitcoin as a will to be passed on to your children is not bad but be mentality prepared for the unforseen because it is not advisable to do so. What if there is a possible threat and hack what would you say to your children. It is wise you diversify so as not to put all inheritance on bitcoin for your children.
2111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OG Bitcoin Wallet Addresses Suddenly Active - Are they being hacked? on: May 16, 2023, 09:50:02 AM
OP, I really do not give in to this you have said. If there are recent old hacked wallets I believe the owners would definitely come up publicly to say something about it so as to make something out of it. If not necessarily engaging tech guru to help them recover their assets,  maybe a proper investigation to unravelling the identities behind the hack. Some would even turn it into a process to gain attention and recognition as early adopters of bitcoin you know how it feels then telling someone you were amongst the early adopters of bitcoin that is a catchy one you know.

Back to the reality,  hacking a wallet is not as easy as you think one must have clues of your keys if not in full some hint can gain them access but in this situation none of it is the case so how do you think it is possible. Let me run down to CEX hack as an illustration, do you think CEX exchange hack is just let alone a hacker, I believe there are always information leak before such could happen likewise private wallets too.

Let me remind you as well, do not forget that some of those accounts holders are tech gurus as well and they too are good at their games so tell me how do you explain that when you are sophisticated to protect your own. Some of the hacks claimed to have occurred on old 1st generational bitcoin wallets are not what we think some are just a change of wallet. Maybe the owners just felt like changing asset location to another current trending one to be on the safe side.
Of lately there have not been any complaint on private wallet hack rather it is coming from CEX so this justifies it that most old private wallets holding bitcoin safe or possibly change of assets location are not hack.
2112  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Password/Seed Recovery/Blockchain.com Wallet Recovery on: May 16, 2023, 08:56:58 AM
OP I kind of doubt this and I am curious to know as well. Does it mean that you can open a wallet irrespective of the situation of that wallet? Isn't this classified as hacking? Because even if someone contact or contract you for a wallet access, you can not tell if the wallet really belongs to them and in this situation what do you do to confirm that the wallet really belongs to them how do you achieve to know if they are the genuine owners of the wallet they brought to you?
You have to be careful so as not to let people abuse this Service.
2113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new milestone: 1M addresses hold 1 Bitcoin on: May 16, 2023, 01:34:54 AM
The last past weeks has been really challenging and tough for bitcoiners as a result of the high transaction fees caused by ordinals on the network. Despite this setback, Bitcoin is still conquering, setting the pace and hitting milestone achievement. According to glassnode, the number of wallets holding atleast 1 BTC are now 1 million. According to the report, last year when the market took a deep dive, a good number of persons were wise enough to grab some bags. Although, some wallets belong to crypto exchanges and some persons might have more than one wallet address but this milestone achievement is worth celebrating.

Source: https://cryptoslate.com/insights/a-new-milestone-1m-addresses-hold-1-bitcoin/

Possibly, the rise in bitcoin holders is rapidly increasing and i can make bold to say that Bitcoin is the new digital gold existing. As the day passes by, lots of people are beginning to see the importance and need of holding bitcoin. I would not be surprised if the holders of bitcoin surpasses this very number stated here but i believe it would definitely be more than that in the nearest future as the  case maybe, there have been series of holders whos bitcoin holdings are very much little  but in the future, it would develop a bit-better than as it is now even much better.

2114  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: US Don Knack Visa Restriction on: May 15, 2023, 11:54:43 PM
sincerely speaking, this visa ban is long over due. I longed expected this to have taken effect but it seems they were too lousy over it and kept mute for such a long time but they seems to realize themselves now.

I like the fact that the politicians were really affected by the restriction. They should live up to expectations in accordance to the law and the oath of office they swore. It is high time they are held accountable and responsible for their actions and inaction's. The United States did figured this out and maybe used another means to pass a signal to nations that is it not game as usual. The next thing you will hear  is confiscation of all government official and politicians ill gotten wealth stashed up in foreign land at the detriment of their various nations. I think that would serve them better when it gets to that point.

I really think this OP is not for real because I had to check OP's profile and I could not see anything tangible and meaningful. Just a post and op since was active on May 30, 2022, 01:14:55 PM. An account with not many activities and a reputation here. Only what OP did was drop an email address so prospective clients would so they could get to him very fast.

No introduction, no portfolio no explanations. This is not what you think you could comprehend when it goes sour. Do not engage with this without proper research.

All these;

2116  Economy / Services / Re: [$50/week] 1/3 signature ad spaces + avatar available (Avg. 30+ posts per week) on: May 15, 2023, 10:33:52 PM
Preview:

There is competition in signature advertising right now between Mixers and casinos and the size of the space ad really matters, advertisers want total focus on their banner which is why projects go to the extent of launching a signature design contest, I don't think with a limited space their brand will stand out if you are charging $5 per posts if they see someone offering a full space with the same price and both of you have the same status in the forum, you will be left out.

The competition is real mate and none of the projects wants to be left behind every one of them wants something unique, catchy and eye popping hence the competition for who conquers the space. From what i see, no one of them would like to share same space with the other because there seems to be rivalry amongst them which is a big challenge for anyone thinking of going further in such package.

Just as you have said, the space would be limited and possibly not contain the signature as a whole and that would cause a little much discrepancies in the signature outlook which would not go down well with the organisations and no body would be willing to pay for such when they have a free space cheaper or at the same price and free for them to own a space.

2117  Economy / Economics / Re: How do banks generate income? on: May 15, 2023, 10:19:34 PM
As  a financial institution, they are the richest and wealthiest just as a poster has said but they are the worst of them all to loot you plane blank without any sniff from you and if you think of raising dust, they blackmail you and beat you to your own game if they look your source is not  a genuine one to go by.

OP i see you made mention of some ways these broad day light  crooks that calls themselves financial institutions loot and i think some points are missing to add up;

They roam about politicians  seeking for who would approve of them to be the current state government financial institution so that anything in the state coffers would be monitored by them and they end up playing smart with the politicians to loot from the state treasury.

I wonder what they do stamp on fiat transactions that they demand for duty stamp charges. This is very crazy as it is done in excess in my country.

Banks aid and cover up fraudulent transactions so as to get big rewards from the fraudsters and when the senior fraudsters(government and government agencies) comes after them they play two to tango, take their own share and walk away.

They really get illegal fees from all these transaction and cover up lots of untold and seen deals. They are just too criminal minded.

2118  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcrypto.cr |No KYC Casino & Sportsbook| 100% welcome bonus + 100% reload bonus on: May 15, 2023, 09:37:38 PM
Hehehe someone just won $3532 from a $141 bet  Cool

OP, congratulations to your client on the win I think this display is just to get the attention of the members here and there are some unanswered questions from the previous conversations we had, try to attend to them.

Secondly, you will have to prove this win point you made here for clarity as I see this as a stunt that was scripted so as to gain an audience here. I know it is part of the advertisement plan from your casino but I do not think it works that way here as members are very skeptical of this type of advert and become wary of them.

OP, enticing members here with such a display is not as easy as you think. People have learned some lessons and are wiser now with thick skin.
2119  Economy / Gambling / Re: MegaPari is nominated for the BSG Awards 2023 on: May 15, 2023, 09:17:16 PM
I  was wondering if you really got the clues of what was happening mate.  I had to read through your comment but it seems totally different from the normal.

Now I would call your attention to the following;

Congratulations for the award

Sorry to say this mate, Megari has not yet clinched the award but was a nominee or shortlisted for the award for which means they are yet to be awarded as they are amongst those in the long cue of list to possibly receive the award take note.

I think with this good news you have brought to the community, your signature campaign will run for a long period of time now so that more good news will be coming through the awareness campaign.
Indeed it is a good news that they were nominated for the BSG Awards which is the goal and vision of every organisations to clinch to. In as much as it is their goal, they would need to merit it at first before being nominated and possibly winning the awards.
Where it baffles most is the fact that with all these comments on this thread talking about the paused campaign even when it is visibly clear on the service board that the campaign is paused you are still saying it is still running. I was asking if you really take your time to read or you just jump to write.

2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTCUSA.com is live!! 🔥 plz rate it from 1-10 🙏 on: May 15, 2023, 05:53:35 PM
OP, you made good move taking over the site  and that was a smart one indeed. I had to check on the site and it was amazing the designs and lots of every other features. I also discovered you made available exchanges and they are world biggest exchange with large trading volume which is highly commendable but i did not see casinos or is it hidden somewhere there???

I would want to point out something as regards the front  page. The news and updates seems too boring to be frank, looking  around it seems too centralized on that and if i may ask you this, was it because of the news you bought the domain? You could send some hidden features to the front page like the list of casinos and reviews on them. If you can also add to it crypto listings and possibly startups that would go a long way to draw more traffic to the site more especially investors would frequent your site very often to get updates and also giving you a genuine review would d you much good.

Nevertheless, my review ratings here based of my findings from your site and noted observations i will rate you 6 and that is a good one mate. You have done well.
