2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Support Casino Operated By The Bitcointalk Members on: October 11, 2022, 09:01:25 AM
Support can be expected from the community regardless of whether you are famous or not in this forum. I might think you will get more support if you are a famous user, but your casino is no exception even if you are not famous.

As someone who is very familiar with the casino and its promotions then of course you have a good way to get more support. The promotion system will help you a lot but of course you need funds to get it noticed by other users. There is no conflict of interest here, your business is yours, you are responsible for making it successful or failing.
2102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: October 11, 2022, 08:25:49 AM
About the high price, that's definitely what I expected. I have invested in bitcoin for the best moment in the future, of course because I really want to profit from it. Making a profit is the goal of investing, so I guess this is the normal expectation of investors.

Adoption is something that will support bitcoin to continue to benefit a lot from real use cases. As a currency, bitcoin would certainly deserve more adoption from large companies regardless of whether they receive payments for their products or pay their employees salaries. I don't have much hope, my orientation is still limited to investment assets considering bitcoin is not a legal currency in my country.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Colorado is accepting crypto for tax payments - 2 on: October 11, 2022, 08:18:06 AM
No, I definitely wouldn't choose the bitcoin payment option for taxes if it was more expensive than fiat. I'm happy with bitcoin adoption, but when governments just want more profit and take advantage of price fluctuations to make your tax bill increase, then I think fiat options should be better.

Even if bitcoin has made it easier for users to pay bills or taxes, then I don't think people would be happy to do it when there are other cheaper options. In fact, many people still value money so I don't think they would sacrifice much more for a government that wants double profits.
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 10, 2022, 08:55:01 PM
Right now it feels like neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid is going to lose any match. Real Madrid is obviously the defending champion of La Liga and they are determined to play at their highest level in order to defend their title. On the other hand, Barcelona knows very clearly that there is a lot at stake for them. And they are also not doing very well in the Champions League. So it will be very important for them to do well in La Liga.
I can assure you that basically the Champions League and La Liga are equally important for Barcelona. Maybe because stronger opponents like Bayern Munich and Inter have made them lose in 2 matches in a row, but still Barcelona have a chance to finish second if Inter drop points in the next 3 matches.

In Laliga Barcelona appeared impressive with an unbeaten record in 8 matches in a row. You can also notice that Barcelona didn't concede more goals until week 8 which leads many to believe that they are the strongest challenger to date. So there's no reason to underestimate them in the upcoming El Clasico, after all Real Madrid have lost several times since Xavi took over as coach.

Right after the win of Real Madrid, we saw Barcelona doing the same. And we also saw some really attacking football from Barcelona. It was looking like Barcelona was playing with some real intent to win. And even though the goal that was scored by Pedri was a little lucky, Barcelona was the one who deserved to win the match.
This weekend, El Clasico will determine who is the best between Barcelona and Real Madrid. I wouldn't be completely sure that Real Madrid would win considering that Barcelona also have good potential at home, but I don't expect Real Madrid to lose for the umpteenth time since Xavi became coach.
2105  Other / Meta / Re: Selling guns on Bitcointalk on: October 09, 2022, 03:58:35 PM
I can probably think that certain people or groups can trade drugs or weapons through bitcointalk, it's not done in public but through PM or something. Obviously if you refer to the rules, trading like this is prohibited because someone will not bother buying weapons through bitcointalk if the use of weapons in their country is legal. This implies that, either the buyer or the seller or both are in a restricted area for the unauthorized use of weapons, so I guess transactions like this are prohibited on forum.

After all, gun ownership is banned or require permit on most country.
Of course. I think civilians can own guns in Indonesian jurisdiction, but that requires very strict permits and supervision. Even if it's softguns, we can't have them without the police's permission.
2106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: October 09, 2022, 03:31:41 PM
I believe that every trader and investor should remain optimistic about the market now and in the future. Price correction can happen and vice versa better potential can also be achieved, that is the most likely thing to happen to bitcoin.

I finally have to say YES, bitcoin still has the potential to bottom out again for the rest of 2022. But before that, I have to assure you that $20K - $30K is also very likely to be expected. The current bear market will not last forever, market recovery is expected but of course we are always in two possibilities so speculations about the future of prices are being discussed all the time. I don't expect the price to drop to $15K for the rest of the year, but who knows.
2107  Other / Meta / Re: Attaining legendary rank - is that the end? on: October 09, 2022, 03:20:12 PM
There are many high rank members who post regular irrespective of their current rank. Even in legendary rank, there are so many members but in your mind there will be few only who post regular and post helpful content for other members.
You can't expect every post made by Legendary to be quality content. Basically the quality of the content is very subjective and in the end other users' assessment of your content is very different. You also can't say that all inappropriate posts are ineligible content, that mindset shouldn't be true because every user has their own way of distributing merit. That is, if one of your posts gets the merit source's attention and distributes your post with 50 merit, then you cannot expect the other 109 merit source to also send you merit on the same post. It proves that each of them has their own standard in distributing merit.

That is also a good challenge for legendary members.
Not all Legendary cared about merit, they never felt challenged to earn more merit although merit races were of course very attractive to some Legendary. I'm challenged to get merit, that's true but I want to return it to the community so that this system is really useful for others.

It will help to distinguish between real legendary members and bought accounts.
Not really. There are many Legendary who don't have regular activity to post every day. They can be active without posting anything so the merit they get is not much, then in this case would you also think they are a traded account?
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 09, 2022, 02:58:50 PM
I don't completely agree with your analysis, regarding Madrid not chasing big wins. for me, it is not surprising that Don Carlo's squad only got a narrow victory. if we look closely, Don Carlo doesn't change his strategy much in every game. however, the fact is that they are still able to continue winning after victory from every match regardless of the draw against Osasuna.
Honestly, I didn't watch the match because I was so tired all day yesterday. But based on the match statistics, then I can really say that the Real Madrid forward is struggling to score goals. Dunno what will happen if Militao doesn't score, maybe a draw would be the most likely ending considering Getafe's defense was so good in the match.

Unlike usual, Vinicius who was on fire also failed to score. Rodrygo also repeatedly failed to add goals in that match because the Getafe goalkeeper's performance was quite good. Here it's different, Getafe who played at home actually also had some chances, but I'm grateful that in the end their finishing was not good. Real Madrid are finally back at the top of the table, but this will only depend on the result of today's Barcelona match.
2109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 08, 2022, 07:46:40 AM

A busy schedule awaits including the El Clasico match against Barcelona. Today we really had to seal a win over Getafe for away matchday 8. Getafe shouldn't be a strong opponent for Real Madrid, but I don't expect them to be underestimated. Vinicius, Benzema and Rodrygo would probably be good to be expected to help grab the 3 points at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. We have to try to take the top of the table from Barcelona again.

I hope Real Madrid will have no trouble getting the full points this time even though we have dropped points at home before. I didn't expect there to be so many mistakes in defense that Real Madrid conceded a few goals.
2110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When You Heard About Bitcoin For the First Time? on: October 08, 2022, 07:34:40 AM
At that time bitcoin was not well known in Indonesia, many people did not understand it, especially in the first 5 years of its emergence. I don't remember the exact date and time, but I do remember that someone introduced me to trading and how to make a profit from it.

I know your question has been asked by many other users before but it went by so quickly that I truly believe in the future I will see someone ask this again. The OP certainly didn't care when you got to know bitcoin, by now you better know and probably already have it. You don't have to be an early adopter to make a profit, but have bitcoin now and keep them in the long term to get the benefits worth it.
2111  Other / Meta / Re: Do you want a BitcoinCleanup factoid? on: October 08, 2022, 07:15:16 AM
There's no reason not to support your idea on this one, but yes I hope it will be useful.

I voted "Yes" as support although I think only theymos will determine whether this idea can be included in one of the slots in the end. But maybe yes, stopping the FUD of bitcoin should get some good support from the community. Bitcoin isn't bad for the environment, it's a fact but some people don't believe it.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 08, 2022, 06:41:18 AM
It is almost time for big comebacks in Juventus.

Di Maria will be available in 1 week.
Chiesa will be available in 2 weeks.
Pogba will be ready in 3 weeks.

And then we will able to see the real strength of this team, hoping it will be not to late.
Juventus have a busy schedule this month where they will have matches against Milan, Torino, Empoli and Lecce during October. The last three teams look easy for Juventus, but I don't think it will be easy for them to get points from Milan, whose match will be less than 10 hours from now. Milan will be eager to continue their winning streak having previously won against Empoli.

Milan will take advantage of home to win the match, but of course Juventus have a chance to steal points if Milan make a lot of mistakes in defense. Milan suffered a crushing defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League a few days ago, I hope it doesn't affect their performance much.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 08, 2022, 06:28:27 AM
This will be a difficult match for Southampton in the Premier League because they have to travel to Manchester City in Week 9. Manchester City are currently in very good form, they are always able to crush their opponents without difficulty. Moreover Manchester City has always carved out a good record in the last five matches in all competitions, they always beat their opponents with promising scores.
Of course, there is little chance for Southampton to get a point from Manchester City especially as City are in impressive form. Manchester City have absolutely incredible goalscoring stats so far, they have scored 29 goals in 8 match, they are the first team with the highest number of goals in 5 different leagues so far this season goes.

I don't think Haaland is the only dangerous person in the Manchester City squad. Almost all of their players can score goals including defenders, so it's hard to stop them from scoring, of course. Julian Ivarez, Foden, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva are also dangerous players. So Southamton should have realized they couldn't keep one while the other 9 were also dangerous.
2114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with a business mindset on: October 07, 2022, 08:21:53 PM
Actually, it can be overcome if we have set a trading plan consistently, both by procuring a structured portfolio.

It is difficult to be faced with greedy words, but we must be aware that the market moves very high fluctuations.
Of course, It is difficult to determine between greed and maximizing opportunities. I understand that sometimes completely trusting in a certain asset will not be good especially if it is not bitcoin, here between greed and maximizing available opportunities will come into play.

Price fluctuations are unavoidable even if it is a stablecoin, so it is true that one can hesitate to say others are greedy or not when they want to maximize profits by taking advantage of these fluctuations. After all, going all-in on one particular asset shouldn't be called greedy, but it would be wise to have some spare money in addition to investing.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: October 07, 2022, 08:13:41 PM
Have you ever had an experience betting in which you knew that you were going over the limits of you finances and still continued? I have one playing a game, it was absorbing plenty of my time and despite me knowing it, I was kind of hooked on it. It was not a financial problem, but left me wondering how easy is to actually fall into a bad habit and how difficult is to break it.
I have experience with it although I don't think it will be exactly what you want to hear. I hit my gambling threshold in a day because I wanted to catch up on my previous losses. Ignoring the greater risk of loss actually made me even more lost when I realized my ATM was empty.

Obviously this is a bad habit of gambling, but I've realized that and haven't repeated it since. To this day, I wouldn't feel the need to make more deposits in case I lost on the first deposit. I will stop and come back another time and opportunity, this will definitely control the emotions a little.
2116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The irony of leaving your private keys in a bank on: October 07, 2022, 07:51:10 PM
OP, You don't need to hesitate and be afraid to keep your Trezor at home if you are a user who really likes financial privacy. The problem is that you don't have to tell people about your bitcoin holdings on social media or elsewhere, it will protect you from physical threats.

I wouldn't consider your suggestion of keeping my wallet in a bank or anything like that, it's something you might want to avoid. Similar to keeping it on an exchange, you can't control your wallet without a private key so it's not your key it's not your bitcoin. Good advice is to have financial privacy, don't flaunt your wealth in public or on social media.
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 07, 2022, 07:40:18 PM
I believe Guordiola will have to change or switch the team tactical formation to false nine or convert one of his midfielders to a striker if Erling Haaland is sidelined with injury, with reference to the list of squad submitted by the club and registered for EPL only three forwards Riyad Mahrez, Erling Haaland and Julián Álvarez were listed of which Haaland is the only center forward others are more or less plays in their wings, the club needed a reserve striker especially an unattach experienced striker on free transfer can be signed to support or assist Haaland in case of any eventuality atleast will club will remain consistent in their performances.
Manchester City do not need a backup striker number 9 so far because Pep Guardiola also seems to play a strategy without a center forward quite often. If indeed Manchester City need a backup for Haaland, then I don't think Jesus should be sold to Arsenal.

Julian Ivarez, who has returned from a loan spell from River Plat this season, seems worthy enough to replace Haaland in his absence. Ivarez is also playing well and he has good goal stats as well every time Guardiola plays him. It's just that Ivarez didn't have enough minutes to prove it as long as Haaland was in good form. Ivarez is also a good centre-forward at the moment in the Manchester City squad.

Reportedly now Chelsea have obtained an agreement with Nkunku from Leipzig, if it is true that the news is realized in next season then it is certain that Chelsea will be able to get additional players who are quite reliable on the front lines, so far Nkunku has performed quite well with Leipzig and he has succeeded being a key player over the last few seasons, his speed and ability to score goals made Nkunku one of the sharpest strikers in the Bundesliga last season, it was reported that Nkunku would undergo a medical at Chelsea and Chelsea reportedly dared to lock the deal by agreeing a release clause of 53 million euros with leipzig.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2022/oct/03/chelsea-close-to-agreeing-2023-deal-for-rb-leipzig-christopher-nkunku
The French passport player had very good statistics last season with Leipzig. Christopher Nkunku scored 20 goals in league match, he did so in 34 match while he has 13 assists all season. The number of goals has not been accumulated with his goal statistics in the Champions League last season, so it is very natural for Chelsea to be attracted by this player.

The French national team striker has also performed well so far in the Bundesliga. Christopher Nkunku has scored 6 goals in 8 league match this season and that number will only increase if he is able to maintain his good form this season. One interesting fact, €80M as one of Leipzig's main players at the moment is an amount that may be difficult for Chelsea to agree on, but I would like to see how it develops.
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 07, 2022, 03:35:30 PM
After his form dropped so much, is it possible for a big club to sign him in the next transfer window.
I hope yes, there are big clubs interested in him. maybe by leaving Old Trafford his performance will be even better, and can find his rhythm.
Many clubs are interested in using Ronaldo's services, but his age and high salary will be an additional problem for any club that wants him. Ronaldo might be the second highest paid player right now after Mbappe based on the sources I read, it would make a lot of big clubs out there regularly withdraw from applying for contracts.

Ronaldo's form has not really dropped, but the aftermath of his statement asking to be sold has made the coach feel he should be given more rest time than before. If Ronaldo stays at Manchester United next season but he is not able to break into the main squad, then his career will sink on the bench. That's not what I expected for him.

Liverpool are considering their options if they cannot convince Jude Bellingham to leave Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool are one of the teams targeting Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
I don't know much about Jude Bellingham, but he was the difference between Sevilla and Dortmund. Somehow his slick performance with Dortmund in that match has made the Sevilla manager lose his job.

Champions League: Sevilla sack Lopetegui after Bellingham’s brilliance

Besides Liverpool, Jude Bellingham apparently also targeted by Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag really wanted him. The midfielder has good stats so far, which has made him a target for some of England's top teams. But I am surprised that the England midfielder seems to have such a high value, €90M is a expensive value of course for his 19 year old.
