So how much would you pay for this wire twisted Mobile made in the 1950s?  Believe it or not, YOU (Yes YOU!) probably would pay $5,000, $10,000, $50,000 or even more to own this! Why do I say that? Well this stupid wire twisted Mobile appraised for up to a $1,000,000 on Antique Roadshow! I think I am going to give up Bitcoins and start cranking out Mobiles!!! Unbelievable....  I guess it was made by a famous artist named Alexander Calder in the 1950s. See the appraisal video below. Kidding? I've made some better pieces from the rubbish what I found in grandma's loft when I was a bored 10 years old... Do you have any pictures? |

Catcher in the Rye.
I never read it growing up, and I got a hold of a first edition. About half way through it. Seems like a slice-of-life so far. It's pretty good, but not sure it's my thing. I like mystery novels. Maybe some science and murder mixed into it. I don't know... I'll read anything when I have the time.
Still stuck on the first few chapters of Slaughter House Five. It's ok, but not really getting my interest.
I really like The Catcher in the Rye. You are right; it's a little slice of the life of someone finding his own place in the world. What are you guys reading at the moment?

Its pretty interesting, its written by an ex FBI interrogator and is about body language and human manipulation.
Good book as well. Very informational. This is what I am going to read next:  Has anybody read it yet? Is it a good choice? |

I have a very deep-seated fear of forgetting my memories. The idea of getting Alzheimer's disease scares the shit out of me. I have this fear because it has occurred in my family in the last two generations.
Interesting topic, I hope for your sake that you do not get it. I'm okay with forgetting memories (some if not a lot), but not with forgetting who I am, who my wife is and stuff like that. I'm a bit afraid of that and similar diseases, or some very very bad accident in which I lose both of my legs/arms. I have a very deep-seated fear of forgetting my memories. learn to tell the difference then HA! Like that's the easiest thing in the world. Every girl is different.  It's certainly not the easiest thing in the world, but learning to read body language is very useful. We're all different, but we're also all the same in a way. |
