So many useless clone coins, guess which will die first?

Candidate:

BTE
FTC
CNC
BTB
YAC
RYC
PWC
...

BTE is already dead..
2103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YAC will I be the bag holder? on: May 14, 2013, 06:12:35 AM
Right now on Bter there are only a few sharks trying to buy at a very low price but there's also people willing to sell.

I can't monitor because I have to go to bed.

I'll check tomorrow to see if I'm holding a valuable coin or just holding the bag.

If you have to ask, you probably are.

Registered, but unable to login, always kicking me out.

Do you have Javascript and cookies enabled?

Is there a message at the top left that says "Invalid Cookie!"?

No, see shortly a message like that:

Welcome back, we'll be returning to the main page shortly
Click here if you continue to see this message

And after that im back on the mainpage, but NOT logged in and so i dont have a my page link.

Using IE 9, but Firefox gives me the same result.

Are you behind some kind of firewall or proxy that obscures your IP or blocks cookies?  (i.e. privoxy)

It seems that some people get this problem and I cannot figure out why.

2108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][LTC][TRC][FTC][MNC][BQC][Stratum] www.multipool.in 0% PPLNS 5LTC Bounty! on: May 14, 2013, 04:29:31 AM
Hi!  Just wanted to say hello and that I found multipool last night somehow and hooked up and today I am mining away happily so far. Being a 1st time miner it was not easy to get everything working but it seems to be going okay now. Time will tell how effective I can mine Smiley

One question if you don't mind.. on our "Account Details" page, the worker area showing worker names and Active.. Khs etc.. doesn't seem to ever show anything even though it is active and mining as I can see on the "My Stats" page via the lovely graph that it is working fine?

Anyway, thanks for making/setting it up and I will keep at it.

Yours,
Torn

You're right, there is a bug on the account details page that I need to fix.

Guys, take a look at the FAQ on the help page and let me know if you think anything needs to be changed/added.

Thank you both for your reply. I have a hard time figuring the PPLNS system  Cheesy
As for the est. hashrate I ignored it ( tried various settings with no improvement ).
Overall I really like the pool. I like low diff. shares, combined with 0.2% stale.

My own displayed hashrate is a bit low as well (1.8Mh vs. 2.1Mh).  I can try tweaking it up a bit.

Also, note that if you keep hashing at the same rate, that reward would be paid out for each block found.  It's not a per-day estimate or anything.  It will be paid out for each block found by the pool (assuming constant hash rate)

I have a little problem (question). It's about the current block. I have about 10k valid shares out of 200k of the pool. My estimate is 0.95 LTC. Earlier today I switched currencies but that was more than 6 hours ago... How long is needed for the PPLNS to reach max estimate?
And one more thing. The site consistently shows atleast 10% less than my miner's hashrate.

How are your miners configured, guys? I'm with -s 2 -e 2 -q 0. Thank you.

You are getting your estimate calculated not out of the current round shares, but out of the last 2444851 PPLNS shares. So, if your estimate is 0.95 LTC, it means that you have about 46K shares inside last 2444851 shares. Your round shares or pool round shares are not used to calculate your reward (or your estimate of it) for the found block.

My estimated Hash Rate is off by 10% as well, ignore that as long as share count is correct.

Edit: flound1129, please correct me if I'm wrong

kslavik is correct.  Round shares is calculated as difficulty * 65536 / 16.  The number of shares since the last block are just informational, they are not used for reward calculations.  (That's why I changed the header to read "Block shares" instead of "Round shares".)  You can see the Round Shares for each currency on the Pool Stats pages.

Your estimated reward is what you would get if the next block was found right now.
2113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin / Novacoin Pricing on: May 13, 2013, 03:31:13 PM
Block reward of NVC is 1/4 that of LTC.

So really LTC is 4x the value of NVC.

Will the transaction fees be lowered soon?  .1 LTC seems high at this point.

You know what I am just shutting down BBQ at this point.  We've never found a block and I don't want people wasting their power on it.  Mine LTC instead!

Something weird is going on with TRC pool. My hashrate is about half what it should be and round shares are frozen. Does not seem to be updating.

My miner is showing shares being accepted though.

Is this still an issue?

No longer seems frozen. Might have been a short term glitch.

Also is the BQC pool working correctly? I wanted to give it a try but noticed that no blocks have been found and the hash rate has been 3-4 MH/s all day. Just really bad luck? They should be getting a block about every 2 hours on average.

I tried solo mining BQC and some other pools and was getting more stales then accepted shares. Don't know if this is still an issue.

I'm not sure what's going on with BBQ..

Edit: To expand, there aren't any coins (or even transactions) in the wallet, which means there haven't been any blocks found for sure.  (it's not a case of blocks being found but not making it into the db.)

It's possible that there is some non-obvious problem between bbqcoind and stratum..  It's pretty far down on my list of things to investigate, pool-wise, though; maybe given that, I should just shut down the port.

Yeah there is something going on with the client I think. Left mine running all night and it stopped updating and is 7 hours behind. Tried restarting the wallet and now their is a  block index error that won't allow the client to open.

I added a news item that BBQ pool is "use at your own risk"..  I don't think anyone is mining on it anyway, and BBQ is dead, so.. maybe time to just turn it off.  I was thinking of putting NVC on the pool, anyone interested in that?

We found 2 blocks yesterday, bounties for blocks 3 and 4 go to Galtwise and ikuzo!
