2101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in micro cap altcoins? on: October 06, 2022, 10:34:43 AM
The less the capital involved more is the chance of seeing artificially made pump and dump on that asset. Hence it is better to keep the coins safe in the top 10 list than go with such altcoins.

Even then you can try your hand on shitcoins but the general opinion regarding them is negative because of what I said above. Whales who own such coins, promote them and dump it on some newbie who gets the handicap and pulls it through unable to sell it anywhere.

Trust me it is not a fun thing. But who knows maybe you can find the needle in the haystack and make loads of money.
2102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Some People think that long term Bitcoin holding is a dumb idea? on: October 06, 2022, 10:31:48 AM
Long term holding is good but cycling the money to buyback at the low and selling at the high also needs to be done to keep the profit flowing in every few weeks. There needs to be a good balance between these two because the stupid thing to do here is to convert to day trading a few days after starting long term, which is commonly done by impatient newbies.

Nothing is stupid as long as you are making money from it. If you are making it work, you are the boss. I found buyback and selling at the top in fractions of the entire portfolio worked and hence I am confident about it.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow fiat with your Bitcoin and never sell on: October 06, 2022, 10:27:34 AM
Instead borrowing fiat from a bank, or a loan shark, with a high interest, why not just wait for the bull run and sell half of your Bitcoin in the next ATH and use that to invest in properties, I guess that's much better than lending because if the bearish season will be like the past one, it's gonna take some years before it gets bullish again.
It can be managed without taking a loan but some people have the habit of taking a loan to start out on trading and not think of the consequences of a debt.

Few people actually want to start with their own capital directly kotha ven though they have to pay more from their pocket in case they lost money.

Cycling between the bull and bear cycles is what leads to good profits but slow indeed. Still it is the safer bet than taking a loan and going for trades with high risk than profit.
2104  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: crypto communities on Discord on: October 05, 2022, 04:04:10 PM
Hi, what are your favorite crypto communities on Discord ... is there any way to get notifications to email address when discord server admins share crypto signals?
The name of the IM network does not matter, signal groups all run in the same manner.

Quote
At the moment I'm checking the different servers every 15 minutes to see if they post signals, but it's not very efficient
And it is not needed either. Just use you common sense, if such groups actually run signals that were true, then everyone taking part in them would have become billionaires in a few hours. Instead the members get sucked off their money while the owner makes the money because the owners pump their own tokens and dump on their bamboozled investors.

This confusion is the basis of how they work and you will realize it too late. If you legitimately want to trade to make money, do your own research on the assets and then buy.
2105  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I know That How much earnings Can be generated Through Signature? on: October 05, 2022, 07:15:52 AM
Thanks for encouraging me cause I am new to cryptocurrency and I want to get help from bitcointalk because it is one of the best Discussion platform that I can find from this platform. I want to get knowledge from this platform too.
It is a decent amount of lunch money. Roll Eyes

I would encourage you to learn how bitcoin works and how to secure your wallets and how to use exchanges before jumping into a campaign. Besides you would need to rank up to a decent member rank in order to be able to join most campaigns. So you have to start working on your posting quality and engaging in discussions. It is not always possible but you should try your best.

If you are living in a country where bitcoin can be freely used to buy goods and articles that you need, then defenitely signature campaigns are a good side earning, but try your best not to make them the reason why you are here.
2106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Popular projects and none popular projects on: October 05, 2022, 06:48:46 AM
If I invest in a popular project does that make my money safe from scams or popular projects can turn to scam as well?
A popular project does not mean a legitimate project. We have so many examples of the same, since my time BitConnect became a massive hit, but then turned ponzi, probably you never heard of it and recently the Terra project.

These project may initially look legitimate, but you can never understand when they reveal their true colors and by then it is too late. Properly done research might sometime reveal the red flags, but often the scammers reveal very little info so as to keep investors in the dark while giving out lucrative offers for taking the money.

Since the crypto space is not regulated a large number of scams may be going on right under our noses, but they will be caught in the coming 10years, not now when the hype is at peak.
2107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 05, 2022, 06:38:29 AM
I am a beginner in bitcoin, I prefer bitcoin with unstable prices, but there are also people who want stable bitcoin prices, but I personally dare to invest in bitcoin because the price is unstable, I think most people definitely prefer bitcoin because of the unstable price. because if bitcoin is stable it won't be cool.
The majority of traders want the price to keep going up and down so they can make money while the majority of business owners want the price to remain at a stable range, keeping in mind that the yearly volatility range is <15%, making it manageable when coming to small cap businesses.

It is a speculative asset, so price will change by several points every day - but you can take gold as a primary example, gold prices vary during the day but does that hinder buyers? It does not, rather less income families prefer buying gold when the prices are down while in many asian countries, festivities are the time to buy gold even if prices are high.

Beyond that if you read the charts, prices are in a manageable range most of the time - but it does not make bitcoin look less "cool".
2108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DONT GIVE ME FISH on: October 04, 2022, 05:23:50 PM
A man who needs an assistance about wealth, once and never again, will initially turn down an offer of wealth, and insist on learning how to make it (wealth).
It is not that easy as it sounds. Otherwise we would not have any poverty in this world.

I am curious about higher returns on trade. I have heard about leverage and actually checked on YouTube for better explanation. I want to know how it works! I believe better explanation will be from those who have actually used it in their trade. Please!
Leverage and margin are for seasoned traders. The replies made above, have explained how these work, but the only person making a profit off these trades will be the exchange and the youtuber whose affiliate link you clicked to sign up on the site, not you.

This is because any sort of trading other than spot trading is a type of gambling and here the luck becomes a more important factor than your skills. If you are serious about making money, first get a job, get some savings done and then allocate some fraction of your monthly income in to spot trading, starting with doing it on paper (dummy trading).
2109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT DEAD! on: October 04, 2022, 05:18:24 PM
I have seen and also understand some people way of conclusion that bitcoin is dead.
It is mostly naysayers or those who were never really interested in bitcoin. Being dead in the speculative market is a relative term. Comparing this to dead is a common thing when you dont have the understanding to see that it is a bear cycle. Grin

Anyone watching the chart can see that bull and bear cycle are what is happening and not living or dead. Since such people are only interested in profit and loss, this is what matters to them.

FUD will always exist in this sector because it is build around people who sit in front of keyboards half the day. But knowing how to see through the FUD, the charts and the performance of bitcoin, is the real thing.
2110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 05:05:53 PM
Depends on the set up that you got, some mining rigs aren't profitable enough to be used for mining especially with factoring electricity costs, the profit might not be that much to be worth your time. Consider the weather, electricity and the price of equipments in your country before getting into mining because you might have a problem if you don't do it but hey if you have the money to be able cover the cost and you know you can profit big out of it then go for it.
Altcoin mining does not count though, some of those shitcoins may make a lot of money in short time - whereby mining those might seen very return worthy during that time, but since the miner joined the party late, they might end up in a loss in future once it crashes.

For bitcoin obviously, there are the times when mining was done on GPUs and it was profitable for an indie miner to run them - but that was long back pre-ASIC era and now we have ASICs fighting all over the world for a share of that the block subsidy. Hence it is not longer advisable for newbies to jump into the foray.

Again this is where the argument of whether altcoin mining might be a risk worth taking comes in - my answer to to that is also no.
2111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Bottom? on: October 03, 2022, 07:01:32 AM
Mtgox doesn't look terrible anymore. but even so until now no one has made the bitcoin hype back. coupled with the global economic crisis, we have to get new innovations with concepts in cryptocurrency to make it rise again. Now bitcoin is just stagnant because it is in a bear market.
A stagnant market is an opportunity for buyers if done cunningly. While there are reasons behind the bear market, searching for the reasons ia always unyeilding. It can be Gox or it can be the inflation crisis, truly they won't have another effect buy drop the price.

So just buy when you have money at hand and wait for even lower prices to buy more.

New innovations are rare though. New scum projects are very common on the other hand. Hence be careful what you are investing in. It is always safer to buy Bitcoin compared to shitcoins.
2112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If I get heart Attack that is because of BITCOIN on: October 03, 2022, 06:55:03 AM
Hi guys I think I might have heart Attack cause when I buy Bitcoin it goes to lows and when I sell Bitcoin it goes higher and today I sold my all Bitcoin earnings that were 200 dollars and than. BITCOIN starting pumping very hard and that was very very annoying to me. What should I do about this?
Well firstly if trading is giving you panic attacks you need to stop trading because your own mental health is way more important than making money.

Secondly if you think you are fit to continue reading, my advice is to do dummy trading for sometime so you know when to buy or sell. Watching the charts yeild a lot of information regarding ups and downs. You have to buy at the low and sell at the high.

New traders often end up buying at the highs. This can be avoided by sensitising yourself with dummy trading.
2113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 06:48:55 AM
Volatility does not change the store of value property of Bitcoin. This is explained in two ways:
1. Average volatility per year is less than 15%
2. Daily changes in price of 1BTC is insignificant when buying daily necessities and groceries paid in Bitcoin adjusted against a fiat currency.

The main effect of volatility is in trading that asset. Again this applies more to altcoins over bitcoin. Hence I believe bitcoin can become both a transactable and tradeable asset in future.
2114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy? on: October 03, 2022, 06:45:42 AM
I have only one strategy to follow - buy low and sell high. Beyond that you are only increasing your own risks more than benefits. You could jump on new altcoins, ride the wave and still make money, but with added risks and in majority of cases you would be losing more than profiting.

Besides trying to hold on to shitcoins is like a roller coster that has only one peak which has been crossed.

Hence stick to bitcoin and keep altcoins limited while keeping a record of buy/sell points. It is a long drawn process but yeilds profits.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Generate Profit in this bear time? on: October 02, 2022, 08:03:25 AM
In many days i see in my port filo 5$ up and 5$ down , what is the best strategy to increase profit?
Profits dont increase everyday, only net profit or loss might change.

In any day when the markets are open, you have to sell for the profit at a higher price than buying price. So the best strategy is to have patience till the higher price is reached and then sell, but to do that you need to have bought at lower price. Remember that more the number of altcoins more is the risk you will have to carry.

Dont look at the entire portfolio at a glance, instead if you are trying to trade everyday, you will lose money.
2116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I feel about play to earn games on: October 02, 2022, 08:00:13 AM
I have the same thoughts as you. Games that are made for fun, of course, will be more exciting than those made for income, until now there has been no Play To Earn Game that is truly stable for its players. there was always inflation until they left the project.
Income becomes secondary if the game puts in a competitive sense into the player. Every human being loves being called the "best of the rest" and being shown a top number on a ranklist, it becomes like an addiction to them and a false sense of being in control over others.

Still these P2E games are often going to hook up kids to games that do no good to their brain, we should be careful of how we propagate these things. Moreover, altcoins should be limited in any investors portfolio and thus new investors should limit these games to a minimum or none at all.

As people keep earning more and more through the game, it ends up in the same condition as faucets have once been.
2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: determine a good project on: October 01, 2022, 10:46:15 AM
In the current bear market conditions, we can see which projects are able to survive and maximize the coins that have been launched without losing their value.  Usually their strong team and developers are able to deal with any situation by carrying out marketing strategies or promoting coins that have been created so as not to lose the interest of investors and trading activities in them will not die.  what do you think about the benefits of a bear market besides taking the opportunity to make a purchase?

bearish market will be strong evidence to determine a really promising project in the future
This is tough thing to determine. Usually the bear market is a test of the team's ability to cope with stress due to lack of funding, poor market performance and public issues. But it seems that most altcoin projects end up getting bankrupt anyway be it bear or bull, mostly during the bear though. Only the one that turns victorious every time is bitcoin.

Going by that conclusion bitcoin is the only coin that one should invest in.

Point is that most altcoins are like that only, short term gains and long term fails. Hence dont depend on any of those for huge gains, instead bank on bitcoin.
2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How Profitable Are Altcoin-Based Signature Campaigns? on: October 01, 2022, 10:35:58 AM
First, if you look at the reward allocation percentages, I think signature campaigns are more worth following.

Second, the advantage of participating in a "signature campaign" is that fewer people participate than others. More importantly, follow the manager who pays for your hard work at the end of the campaign.
Beyond that a well paid and well managed signature campaign adds to your repertoire on this forum. On the other hand people trying hard to get into altcoin campaigns are spamming the forum with low quality replies get blacklisted by managers and frowned upon by most members.

It is defenitely satisfiying to get paid the promised amount at the weekend of a campaign but it is equally frustrating to join an altcoin campaign to not be paid a single buck. Hence I never suggest any newbie to join any of the altcoin campaigns but keep themselves limited only to bitcoin paying ones. But for that they would first have to grow their account's ranks.
2119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Bottom? on: September 30, 2022, 02:30:40 PM
Surely it is more than just Mt. Gox, that news started some panic in the market some time back but the thing with FUD is the first contact effect where the impact on the market is the maximum on first appearance of the news, further down the line, people become resistant to that news.

Still the FUD will continue in different forms, it never ends and neither will the cycle of bull and bear. So better to put that thought out of your head. Instead to keep profiting, just treat the numbers as numbers, not as an effect of a news on a number. Buy bitcoin at the lower prices being reached and sell when it will goes back up.

Today it might be one set of FUD, tomorrow it will be another. Hence we have to learn to ignore them.
2120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DID YOU STUDY? WHAT DID YOU LEARN? on: September 30, 2022, 02:23:06 PM
Accept it or not but the fact is more or less like that that many people start investing but do not have basic knowledge,
We all know that the crypto market is difficult to predict and without any preparation, it is very likely that he will just lose
Crypto market and by that sense any speculative market is not predictable with 100% accuracy. Therefore any prediction done has only 50-50 possibility of turning true or false. Point is that predicting the market and investing are two different things. Those who predict only make news articles to publish on niche media but investors are risking their money for the same and hence they are more careful about buying.

Still education does not mean a person will be a good trader, like I said in my last post, these two are not mutually inclusive. Basic knowledge about trading is often not present in many people. Some have just entered to try their hand at a few coins hoping for huge gains. Hence you cannot deduce what the OP tried to say in their quote.
