Small update.
We are accepting Credit Card payments now through Stripe Payments!

Okay I will buy one then.  Just a mobo.
I have a question  has anyone done 8x 1080tis  on this board?

Yes, many clients are running 1080ti's already. Temps stay around 65-68C if using inside our case with Delta fans.

Your case is not needed   I use waterblocks.

This is my 8 1080ti build
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hZ0U1x_uZo

I can run  on a different mobo  but I am forced to use an ATX psu  and none are big enough. For me to run eight at 200 watts each.

I want to try your mobo.  My guess is it will suffer due to the low priced weak cpu you put in it.

I will run it in smos and compare it to this  mobo

I am not knocking your mobo  as it will allow me to use the 2400 watt delta  server psu  and that is a big plus.

I am knocking the weak cpu option only.
It truly would be nice if  it could have a better cpu as an option for power builds like I will do.
I will have 3 different 8x 1080ti builds on 3 different mobos  two will be using the 2400 watt delta psu (no longer available)
My first  8 slot builds  on 2 other mobos  both have flaws.

One  needs an atx  and there are no 2400 watt atx psu's  it also needs 1 short 1080ti
One has heat issues and can not run  8 cards via the pass through design it uses

both allow good cpus.

yours  looks to be good in every way but weak cpu.  I will test it out  when it arrives

Thanks for the feedback but so far nobody has complained about the CPU performance. People are happy about the low voltage and efficiency of the CPU. We already have professional miners using our boards that have 1000+ GPU farms. We had the intel 4415U CPU version also that we sold, but it was limited quantity only.

Your waterblock setup looks pretty sweet! I actually plan to build a test system with 8x 1080TI also with waterblocks.

can't charge
let me know when you fix it

do you run  the hdd mining with or without gpus
21025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: February 24, 2018, 12:21:51 PM
I ....

I currently have 417TB online for HDD mining.  Plot speeds are good at around 90,000 nonces/min on a dual E5-2660 V4 rig (paid $350 each for ES versions of those CPUs):

And scan speeds are really good:

Takes around 20 seconds to scan 417TB worth of plots.

Okay  417tb  earns what per day  and how much power does it take.

21026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: February 24, 2018, 11:45:38 AM
Just sold a bunch of 480/470s for an average of $370 each. Left with 6 polaris cards for sale (let me know if interested). They are 5x sapphire pulse 570 4gb and 1x 580 8 gb HIS. They were used since last May in a dust free environment, undervolted to 875mv.

GPUs: https://ibb.co/eqi0xc
Box: https://ibb.co/nvzjOH

I stopped gpu expansion for now, it's too difficult to find them at a good price. Even my early jan order of 1070tis from a local supplier has yet to arrive. Right now I'm focused on HDD mining. Takes 16 months to payback HDD mining now, but with new proof of capacity coins coming I believe it's viable. Worst case scenario the $150 8tb drives can be liquidated for $120. HDD is low returns, but low value at risk. Unlike GPUs, where a $400 1060 6gb can drop to $150 in value if things go south.

Took 3 weeks and I have 300tb online. Looks like another 6 weeks to get the full 1pb running. An Rx480 it takes 1 day to get 1 drive plotted and optimized. 1950x can do 2 per day.

For anyone who's interested to do HDD, I recommend NOT going for a threadripper build. Go i7 8700 build instead, no gpu needed. Add another rig when needed. The rig cost per drive is similar, total compute power for plotting is similar too. Also don't be like me, connecting 10 drives per usb 3.0 hub. There's new miner software that can scan a 8tb drive in 17 seconds now, limit to 5 drives to prevent read bottlenecks.

I have  3 omen pc's that could do 32tb each  and mine 2 1080ti's

Is it viable to  mine gpus while the pc mines hdd?

you could be on to a good idea.

Hmmm... Aren't you cutting it a bit close with only 1500W?

Also how are you keeping temps so low? I can't stop thinking the GPUs are too close on such a setup... 😐 Unless they're all hybrids?
Edit: Ok I see they are. No issue then.

yeah  1370  is hard on a 1500 watt psu.

I have 4 of them  and I am willing to blow up one of them to see if they can do 1370  for a year
21028  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Intro: U.S.-based ASIC design group w/ patent on reducing electrical consumption on: February 24, 2018, 05:31:40 AM

Erik: "We are currently planning to build the world's largest Bitcoin mining facility in Norway.  This is a 150 megawatt facility, which is an enormous amount of energy.  The electricity is already installed in the building, ready to plug in our miners once they are operational. Since our miners are 80% more power efficieant, it means that in our single facility we will be mining Bitcoins equivalent to a 750 megawatt facility, which gives us a tremendous competitive advantage just in energy savings."

Are these folks related to, or part of, the moron group that bought out KNC and KEPT THE NAME?

I can't remember offhand if the big KNC mining facility was in Norway or Sweden....

as a descendant of a Norwegian grandparent do not sully us with knc they were from Sweden
21029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 50,000$ towards mining hardware... what to buy on: February 24, 2018, 05:14:11 AM
If you were going to spend 50k on mining hardware, what would you spent it on and why? Power costs are zero.

A friend of mine is not interested in hodling, but mining draws his interest and I would like to help inform his decision making process.

Danka.

I have this rig

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hZ0U1x_uZo

an absolute monster.

if you really have 50k and few power I have good things for you to buy.

Some from real companies with real warranties. I could show you how to order from hp.com  some very good rigs.

I am running 8 1080tis on mine doing 5100 sols.

If I could get a 2000 watt Corsair I would crank it up more as I know I can pull 5500 sols on it.

The 1500 watt let’s me run the 1080tis at 150 watts each.

I have 7 Evga hybrids and 1 zotac mini

this pushes the corsair ax1500i psu hard

here they are on smos and a video

Whelp... switching machines helped.  I kept PSUs with their respective machines, and the previously suspect S9 has run for 24 hours without a hiccup.  Seems like the ethernet cable/long run was the issue.  I knew "friends don't let friends use 120v"... now we need to add "friends don't let friends use old ass cat 5 on a long run"

Thanks for your help fellas... you especially phil!

Good...  yeah I have found that the cat 7  more $$$ costly  but fix a lot of problems.

Anyone in here having setup 6+ GPUs on a riserless mobo with a custom water loop? I suppose that would be a good setup too, you'd need need two 360 rads I suppose to dissipate the heat...

Crazydane did it.

I was going to but decided to go hybrids
21034  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: February 23, 2018, 08:39:18 PM
If all goes well, u can test a unit in march right?

Phil, why not u just pay them for one unit first and get that one unit shipped asap and tested before u pay them for the other 4. This is still not a sure thing. There are those that say they could have been in innosilicon factory. That would explain the vid because there were no other DM stickers on the other DM units that are wrapped in plastic. There were DM stickers only for the units on show. There is a chance that they did get into innosilicon factory as others say....and maybe placed the stickers there.
CK never saw or tested the units. He helped them remotely only. This is not a 100% either.

It is sure that it exists .  Just not sure if and when people will get them.  Which is why I will not send mony via cc or paypal to yoshi until he tells me to.

I suggest waiting to pay for these to all that want them. Until they show in the field and btw they are better specs  but an s-9 selling at 800 to 1000 is a better deal to anyone with low power cost.  So even if these show up and work and do 16th at 1200 watts

antminer might simply sell the s-9 for 800 to 1000

So still looks to be not fixed.

but I tried anyway.

So what will happen is I will get dropped off  and lose that 0.0001

This pool is dying from neglect sad so sad.

And i am willing to point gear here like a s-9  but without the ability to rent every once in a while from nice hash the pool is dying for me.

once it drops off I will post screen shots but mmpool stopped posting so this has pretty much died.  he has not posted since dec 12 2017

How is the riserless stuff working out for you, i had a lot of issues with my D1800's i bought, i couldnt run more than 4x1080ti's without it crawling to a stall half the time causing the miners to hangup constantly, moved all those back over to risers with the high temp glu around the entire socket to reduce movement and future errors... seems to be working just fine to me this way. Also i got rid of running all my risers vertically, and mounted them all horizontal.... since im running water on all the cards now, i built wooden open air cases with slots cut into the wood to screw the risers into, and then use a wooden clamp style setup to secure the cards firmly into the risers... i also moved it so the cards are behind all the other gear, so if i do manage a water leak at one point it would drip on the floor and not on other gear to short it out.

Are you still holding NEO bud?
I have been taking my extra scalps off mined earnings occasionally and buying more NEO, currently im earning about 0.5 Gas a day, so its a nice little passive income as of lately, i sold most of my gas when it hit $85, im so glad i bought in a lot of neo back when it was around $7 like you said... good advice

I have no heat issues with the riserless setups... probably because of the warehouse - tall ceiling and large fans outtake for the warehouses. Also have the dragon blowers during the hot days.

Frankly, all of the converted and new riserless rigs went up smoothly - no hangs - maybe because I am using SMOS Linux.

For rigs that need extra cooling due to small gaps, the Scythe fans were a big help.

NEO is my biggest hold currently - I get a mild stroke every now and then when BTC or ETH tanks :-)

Yep  that is why  they are not windows designed they are linux designed.

the d1800  with a tiny cpu and 4gb ram  will do 4x 1080ti's  with ease on  smos

it will do six hybrid cards with ease  I ran 5 evga 1070ti hybrids with 1 1070 hybrid no issues.

I am getting an evga 1080ti hybrid today.
I will have 13 1080ti waterblock the 14th comes on monday.

I have 2 asus 1080ti turbo's
I have 2 msi   1080ti aero's
I have 2 asus  1080ti turbo's in a pc
To move out in the next few weeks.

Spring and summer I will mine with 14 + 1 + 6 = 21 1080tis

I have a few asic sticks but no asics

Started mining with 1 gpu. Gains are super low. Makes no sense to expand my rig while GPU prices stay same but profits go down.

Will buy some new nvidia gpus instantly as soon as they arrive though. Can't afford to make the same mistake twice.

the psu is garbage 2 cables so you can do 2 1070's

max power  is not 700 it is 630watts.

so when you run 2 1070's be sure to keep the tdp set to 80% or less.

Let us know how long the psu lasts.

My guess is not very long.
21039  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s9 stops hashing at pool after awhile.... on: February 23, 2018, 05:54:24 AM
did you try to use the short 6ft eth cable and not the long 50 foot old cable?

That would entail switching it with the one that works better.

if you switch it to the one that works use the psu from the one that works.

the unit unit you have is a 14tb from  dec 2017 it is only 2 month old.

what is you internet service?

and what are the 6ft and 50 cables plugged into the router?

what is the router make and model?

do you have an ethernet switch?

We spoke in pm an old 50 ft eth cable can be the problem.

The cat 7 is on the way.
