I'm fairly sure I'm ok with the jumper version... Can someone explain what that actually means? Sounds like there is just a wire that isn't as pretty as the final version?

Most likely you got it right

Hey folks
In crypto, there is ones who search all the day, and the others.
Today, and since 3 days, I mine a very very profitable coin, 3x the earnings per day of 'standard' coins like equihash ones, or lux, bulwark, etc..

But I can't spread the word to the whole forum, and you know that.
But only for a little number of persons..

PM me for more details

Happy mining to all !
Personnally, I'm more than enjoying.. Wink

Don’t tell anyone the coin.  People will mine it and kill it .

I've got a friend offering to sell me (13) 1070s for $7,000.. trying to decide if I should pull the trigger..

Would you want  10x 1080 ti's  instead.

maybe  a  bit more  in price. around   7300-7500  if in usa.

a mixed bag of them.  I am in New Jersey  I would ship fedex.

here are the two of them hashing at smos

I am going to take wife out for Valentine's Day  I can make a full list in the evening.
Hmmm yeah let me think about that, the list would be nice for sure.

2 msi aero
1 asus turbo
2 evga sc2

the rest I need to go back to the solar array to check.

maybe I can figure list via  smos

Very cool. Thanks for being so open, Phil.

Well I hope to get a reply soon.

Got a reply  I am on track for 5 units in  late March.

He also said he may send one out earlier then that.

Fingers crossed.

21166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [HELP] 1 gtx 1070 lowest hash rate in 4 of them on: February 14, 2018, 04:17:01 PM
Hi everyone, I am a new member here. I have a question. My rig has 3 Gigabyte 1070, 1 EVGA 1070Ti. They are powered by EVGA 1000W. I am using Awesome Miner now. When mining, one of the regular gtx 1070 always has the slowest hash rate if I set MSI Afterburner to 85% for power limit, +100 for core, +650 for memory. The other 2 gtx 1070 and 1070Ti work perfectly. I tried many different setting but the problem still there and sometimes the card got rejected. However, If I do not use the MSI to overclock it, all cards have an almost same hash rate.

Thanks,

that one card can not handle the clock  settings.

set to

 80% tdp
100  core
500 ram

see what  that does.
21167  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling a used 1080ti msi aero and a used asus turbo 1080ti on: February 14, 2018, 02:35:43 PM
well  1080tis are not easy to buy.

1000 buy it now on ebay for  msi

https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-MSI-GeForce-GTX-1080-TI-Aero-OC-11GB-GDDR5X-Graphics-Card-Ships-Same-Day/362240836670?

999  or best offer on ebay for the asus turbo  for

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nvidia-1080ti-ASUS-Turbo-GPU-with-Original-box/222821931546?

both are too expensive.

how about $888.88 for each  but I have flex in price.  don't be an ass and say 500 or 600  or worse yet 400. hint  low eights could work

that includes   shipping to usa and insurance.

If you are overseas I will consider selling on case by case basis.

btc or ltc for payment.

I have  32 1080ti's  and buysolar my solar array partner has 12 1080ti's

total of 44.   we will be selling about  2+3+2+4+6 = 12 of them over the next 10-15 days.

Sold for now  well pending

I sold the three in the middle they were 1070ti's and 1070 units

21169  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: selling a 2 board s-9 and a 3 board s-9 usa only on: February 14, 2018, 01:23:00 PM
Philip, What's all about this "USA only" tag you use nowaday? It is international forum dude, don't go lazy  Grin

EDIT: I suppose sooner or later you will offer your escrow services with a same tag, won't you?

I was a bit overwhelmed with volume  of rig sales.  Shipping in same country is easier to do. Rig sales are harder  as I would build 2 ,3 ,4, 5, 6, 7  card rigs to order.
Always try to convince people to get smos builds not windows builds  these rig build are local.  And  of the 12 I sold  3 windows of the 4 I built needed service.

No service on 8 of 8 on the smos .

I am catching up with reworking the gpu farm.

I sold  22 1070's.

I am now going to sell some 1080ti's
I have 10-15 mobos to sell.

I am prepping for dragonmint gear.  Will need some room on the power cap.

I need to make a big listing  to clean up garage.  As for escrow  I still do overseas  but issues abound with  those escrows.

Escrows suck for the most part.
I make 1 mistake  on a send of coins  and can lose big bucks. Some escrows need 20 pm answers and now with newbies  a combo of emails and pm's.
A deal gets stuck  about 1 of 5 times.  Sometimes the buyer sometimes the seller sometimes the shipper. I even had stuck funds one time which was  a pain .

Back to this three board s-9  price drop to 1800  and btc has jumped over 9k

free usa shipping.  I will ship to overseas if you pay the shipping Grin
21170  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) AvalonMiner 821 11.0 Th/s, 1200W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: February 14, 2018, 12:53:40 PM
Nice review Haggsfin, I'm a little surprised with the voltage offset results.

The 741  got a software tweak  and the offset  improved.

My guess is the 821 will be tweaked for fan and power use.

Nice gear same solid heat sinks as older models.  Price is high  but I may order  in the future.
21171  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: February 14, 2018, 12:48:58 PM
Does it help if I say these are real? I can't speak for their production targets times costs etc. but they do hash uniquely different and I've helped work with them remotely.

Thanks for input.
21172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash AMD miner crashes every night around 3 AM, requiring PC reboot on: February 14, 2018, 12:46:32 PM
Running a Nicehash AMD legacy miner on a rig with four RX 580s.

Every night between 2 and 4 AM something happens to the rig where it loses it's connection and stops mining. When this happens it can no longer be remotely accessed and requires a physical power cycle to get running again. Makes it a real bitch when you're 400 miles away from the machine.

Any idea what the problem may be? The log file says:

"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:4000"

OK fine it can't connect whatever, but why would that knock the whole computer system offline requiring a restart?

the internet service  may not allow 24/7/365 service.
21173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone offer services to configure rigs? on: February 14, 2018, 12:45:09 PM
Last last night I got a wild hair and stayed up late, XXCsu just happen to be on and helped me with one of my rigs. This individual is a god.. One of the nicest people I have ever met and knowledgeable beyond belief. Some of the things that he was doing last evening to manipulate the cards isn't learned on just any ole youtube video. I have watched hundreds of videos and none of them covered the precise things that he did. He basically made all of the cards his bitch! Smiley

Thank you very much... If you drink, I owe you a few of your choice. IF not, then I owe you lunch! lol..

Yeah  amd are tough  but if you tune them correctly they can do well.
21174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: February 14, 2018, 03:48:02 AM
So:

 1 test 6 slot
1 test 8 slot   both for smos

what else?

as the two above would be 100 + 150 = 250  plus ram , cpus ,psu's  that keeps you over 500 for testing mobos.

well  it is more.  but I also filled them  for all of December when mining got hot and exceeded the pwoer cap on the solar array.

I like about 3 psu's   say 2  1000 watt corsair and 1 1500 watt   that is 700 in backup/tester

I like  3 mobos  2 for linux/smos one for windows  that is 300 in mobos

some ram  say 150  so I always keep 1100 in spare gear.

right now house is filled with excess mobos.

I have 15 used working mobos
I have 4-5 psus'
I have 10 sticks of ram
I have many many many ssd's hdd's usb sticks

I would say 2000 usd in idle gear.  rather then 1000.

but it lets me  test shit  fast and easy.

I sold a lot of 1070's  which is why the idle mobo count is high.
21175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: February 14, 2018, 03:36:05 AM
going about this problem the wrong way.

I have the 6 slot riser free boards  and
I have the 8 slot riser free boards filled up

but I still have test rigs  for bs issues like  a card that stays stuck.

So I take the stuck card and run it on an empty board.

This is about a 90% fix rate.

A week later  I switch it back into the main board rotation.

For me space is not an issue  So have 3  or more empty boards ready for gear is common.

I had an evga  1080 ti  that was screwing up on a 6 1080ti rig.

moved it from the array to an empty  8 slot board in my garage.  it worked great on smos alone it worked great with a 1050ti.

So I moved it to my  6x 1080ti rig  which is now a 7x 1080ti rig in my garage.

This  was all in smos/linux   but I do this with windows on occasion. With good results.

mobos are cheap  compared to  a 1080ti  so 2 idol mobos  for trouble shooting smos and windows  cost me very little.

So far  since April  100 plus nvidia cards

1 dead fan -------- I fixed it
1 dead card ------- msi did a fast rma
1 dead wb card---- msi did a fast rma ------- a leak

a dozen trouble maker cards  all fixed by rotation on boards.

full 6 slot to empty 8 slot for a week back to full board. =   this cured most every problem  except the three mentioned aboved.

At the moment I and shrinking the farm down to all 1080 ti's
21176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA EVGA 1080 TI's running at different temps? Is one going to bake itself? on: February 14, 2018, 12:27:53 AM
For starters chill out, and don't worry.
Those chips are designed to operate 24/7 even at 94C.

Temperature differences between same cards are normal, it can be anything.
From a chip with higher leakage ( hotter chip at the same frequencies, voltages & cooling ) to a not as good applied thermal paste between the GPU core and the heatsink, or even just being closer to a warmer spot inside the computer case.

Use MSI Afterburner, or eVGA Precision X to adjust the fan speeds and change them accordingly to keep both cards at around 70C if you want to achieve the max longevity ( lifespan ) of the cards.

yeah  84 for a week should be okay.

i did a lot of 2 card case builds  top card runs hotter most of the time.

@ fanatic26  he has a 2 card gamer rig in a case best buy sells it as does amazon

21177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA EVGA 1080 TI's running at different temps? Is one going to bake itself? on: February 14, 2018, 12:23:09 AM
I've got an ibuypower computer with two Nvidia EVGA 1080TI's in it running nicehash when the computer isn't in use. One of the GPU's is at 84*C and the other stays at 75*C. Any idea why there is such a difference between them, and how can I set the temperature limits for the cards?  What is the max safe temp for these cards? Unfortunately the computer is 400 miles away and I can't remotely access it to make any changes until Friday. So hopefully I'm not nuking one of my brand new cards.

thank you for your help

use msi afterburner

set the tdp lower

on the hot card

most likely the upper card runs hotter as it sucks hot air from the card below it

my m2 adapter was pop then magic smoke all in an instant.

I do not recommend them.

I do not know how to pretest them so I consider them to be unfit for duty.

I decided to keep my rx 580's

I have some rx 560's To let go of.

I now have 31 or 32 1080ti's
Buysolar has 12 1080ti's

So that is  43-44 cards

8 are in the omens
18 are water block

so those 26  are being kept .

We may list  a lot of 1080ti's

MSTI0M91. MSI VCX GTX 1080 TI Aero 11G OC 11GB GDDR5 352B PCIE DL-DVI-D HDMI DPX2 RTL
Asus 1080ti

below with arrows I sold the 1070's in the center.

Phil, any news about discussions with Yoshi?

I think a good move would be that they would be able to send a Dragonmint unit to you for a review in March or April.

It would repair some PR damage.

I have stuck to my guns on this gear being real.  We have a long relationship of business and you have been fair to me.
If you can get one a bit early for me it would be nice.
I did nice reviews on the autominer.at 13 gpu miner and did not reveal any of their secrets with my review.

BTW here is HagssFIN  avalon review

If I do a review of the Dragonmint  and you want it to be more discrete then the one above  more like my Autominer.at review I would no show trade secrets. This is my autominer review

Just touching base.  Let me know how stuff is going on your end.
I sold a lot of gear  to make space in my solar array for the dragonmints  so I hope you come through. I am going to put this in the thread on bitcointalk. As I do not feel I have anything to hide here.

Best regards,

Phil
