2121  Economy / Economics / Re: Rising tensions and effect on global trade on: July 14, 2020, 06:31:35 PM
China can’t start a war because we all know that bigger countries will also support to fight against China.
were all in this together  . small and big countries were now working as one to combat the covid   .  for once , they can forget the tension between other countries because the situation we have now is more important than wars  .
Not all government sectors are all focused on the covid, you cannot just set aside your people especially if there were killed person under their duty. Why do we have this thinking that all the government sectors are into battling the covid? I mean, yes they are helping in some ways but they are not really in the front for this, doctors and nurses does. You can't just tell the border soldiers to keep calm, I'm not promoting a war, just my thought on this one.

The trade war is getting worst, more countries are following the decision of US while China is making a lot of pressure on South China Sea to bully small countries. I admire Vietnam and Indonesia on their will to protect their territory, but my very own country looks like doesn’t care at all. We don’t know how the trade war will end but hopefully we don’t end up losing more lives because of war, this is very dangerous.
with the covid thing that happened i am sure many countries still cant move on and still angry on china so they will follow the u.s country instead  . what country you are living with and why your country wont care  ? luckily im one of those country that fights for thier own rights but who wouldnt be and wanted to be invaded by others  .
We know China, they are aggressive, very aggressive when it comes to their territory they even invaded the West Philippines Sea lol. Imagine an Island they are claiming, thousands of miles far from them, yet there they are building artificial islands. Bully as we know it, who'll pull the trigger first?
2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 14, 2020, 02:33:40 PM
The exact amount of money circulate in gambling is hard to know the exact amount and that amount of money is just a part of the total money circulates around. Do you know any platform that gathers the data about the money circulates in the casinos. Also some casinos accept both fiat and crypto.

It is impossible to collect General statistics even among legal casinos and online casinos. This is due to the fact that not all of them want to disclose statistics on the amount of money lost by players and the amount of money won at the casino. In addition, there are also underground casinos. They are available in many countries around the world, and they are also available on the Internet. No one will ever know their statistics.
But if you would sum up those in total, let's just assume it would cost billions too, so online gambling platforms is really big that less people are talking about it, or so just we thought about it?

Why are we talking about the losses? how about the gains? this might look a huge loss of someone but did we able to search for his gains through his gambling sessions?

SO think, this is only a single person yet we are already amaze on how he lost a huge amount of money, think that there is a person like him in many casinos right now, huge and silent isn't it?
2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Limited escrow service for building self discipline. on: July 14, 2020, 01:34:40 PM
Personally, I don't have an escrow agent to help me to manage the money that I used to gamble because so far, I can handle myself without any problem. I can stop playing gambling whenever I want because I know that in gambling, the emotion will take part, including greediness, because of winning the games.
The problem with some of us is that we are so obsess in thinking that " I might win this time", I've noticed it on myself so I guess it is also happening to some of you guys, this is where I knew that I am lacking of something and that is the self discipline. This is all we need to cope up with everything especially when we are gambling every day, we'll definitely need some discipline in order to keep up. just a realtalk.

But maybe that can help other members who need help from the escrow agent or members who use too big money to gamble. Make sure you can select the recommended escrow agent to handle your money.
This is why we have this section and healthy discussions, let the give and take works around us. Not against to escrow agents tho.
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Chance (to grow) with small coins - which one? on: July 13, 2020, 07:39:40 PM
It seems like you are shlling for the above mentioned coins. In my opinion, these are not some good coins which we should have looked. Moreover, expecting a good suggestion here is not a good idea because everyone will shill for their invested coin.
I might have to agree, the account was made last 2017 but only have 2 post and it was posted just today, so it is clearly a wake up account  to shill the coins he stated above. I'm convinced.

And without even visiting his profile, you can actually smell something like asking for very unpopular coins. Not even a loser investor would actually ask this one. No offense meant.
2125  Economy / Economics / Re: Government+cryptocurrencies on: July 13, 2020, 05:42:02 PM
People are still afraid to adopt cryptocurrency because it is not supported by many government and there's no legal law that protects the user of cryptocurrency. There's a war between these two and we all heard many countries banned bitcoin so many times but we are still lucky that we are still here and still trying to convince many government to make bitcoin and cryptocurrency legal.

Cryptocurrency can save the economy by providing good services that can make businesses more effective and efficient, it can also create jobs, and since many cryptohodlers will benefit by this, they tend to spend more which can save the economy. We just need to have the support of the government and we will surely go up and surpass many financial instruments.
Governments are afraid of the use of bitcoin because they think bitcoin is always being use for illegal activities such as money laundering, scam projects, Ponzi scheme, etc. But the truth is the use of cryptocurrencies has a lot of benefits to a country's economy that it could lessen unemployed people, it could help business and big companies to make fast transactions, and it could prevent massive virus cases without making physical contact to other people when going to the groceries.
That's what the government fears if the use of bitcoin is legalized so I'm sure money laundering and other crimes will increase because bitcoin has been legalized so of course there will be lots of bad people who do this so it needs to be reviewed for the government for real bitcoin users.
Even now that bitcoin isn't that big, we got a lot of scam related activities and I'm sure the government has already think if they will going to promote bitcoin in the public. Understandable how the government want their citizen to be secured financially by not letting crypto be just in their way. We can't definitely stop the scams, even if you pass a law after crypto.

I know that the economy is developing with bitcoin, but in terms of price it is still not certain because of fluctuations at any time so that this investment can be beneficial and bad when a crash occurs.
Bitcoin as a help to developing economy is just a small piece compare to other markets, bitcoin isn't even that big in the outside, we are thousands of user but just a few if you look closely.
2126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 13, 2020, 04:13:28 PM
I think that is just the matter of taste.
Indeed, there is no best game in casino it is really a matter of who is playing the game.

For same gamblers dice are boring and slots more excited and vice versa. But from play point of view or some special strategy there isn't much difference.
For me it just depends on the mood, sometimes I'm more for dice and sometimes more for slots.
There are people who don't like dice, but love to play the slots, There are people who don't like playing slots, but love to play dice game. Then there are people who don't want these both, but love to play table and card games. It isn't really much of a deal of game, who is playing is more important to the game. Personally, I don't really play slots but that does not mean that I hate it or I suck playing it, it is really  matter of choice of an eye to me.
2127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which website do you usually go to get your news and casino reviews? on: July 13, 2020, 03:26:28 PM
Here in Gambling. There is nothing you can compare other than Gambling thread when it comes to reviews and news in different gambling/ casino sites.
Yeah, you better be reading on this section if you are a gambler, or start to gambling coz this got all the news for that field. And mostly, the reviews here are authentic, they call the platform shit when it deserves to be call shit not that people here are mean, but because people here is genuine  Grin

Some of the website that offers reviews are more likely vulnerable to paid fake reviews which leads to fraudulent activities. You can also find new casino that pops out in the industry in Services Section.
This is why reading and hearing opinion of others count in searching for a good casino,
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 13, 2020, 12:46:04 PM
I prefer to just use bitcoin because it makes it easier for me to withdraw directly from the casino to my wallet and then look for someone to switch to paypal, using altcoins could also be a good option, but as I am used to bitcoin and I trust bitcoin so I don't intend to change that so early. Maybe even I would prefer to use Fiat over altcoins
Me too, since most of the casinos right now have bitcoin adaptation I just use them to gamble. I don't look for any coin to play on the website, if they got bitcoin then imma go with it. But then transferring bitcoin sometimes is expensive, this might be the top disadvantage of using bitcoin in some instances. When it does expensive, I just switch to ethereum so I'd pay less fee than doing it with bitcoin.

Do you think the decentralized gambling industry will grow now that crypto is becoming more popular due to COVID-19? Or is it still too early to tell? Huh

where did this idea come from that cryptos are becoming more popular due to this virus?
Never I imagined that pandemic would come, but come one, we are all seeing that digital industries are growing due to this virus. Everything is running mostly digital now.

2130  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: July 10, 2020, 06:02:12 PM
I get the sentiment pero hindi ko malaman kung saan nanggagaling yung pagkabahala ng marami, lalo na yung mga kasisimula pa lamang sa online selling.

Malamang sa malamang nito, ang mga eligible for taxation lamang ay yung mga stores na malalaki na at established, and those who are raking a certain figure that will fit the criteria of the government dun sa mga stores na dapat magbayad ng tax. Hindi ako sang-ayon fully na i-tax itong small ventures pero kung iisipin, malaki ang nawawala sa gobyerno due to online shops dahil most of them aren't registered sa DTI, and most of them do not face liabilities kung sakali man may malabag sila sa consumer protection acts/regulations.

I have a friend na kumikita ng almost 200k a day sa pagbebenta ng iPhones, iPads at airpods. They offer a generous after-sales support though, na kinahangaan ko rin, pero what if the warranty period ends? Nada.

I understand the sentiment of both sides but I can't seem to find the reason para mag-overreact yung mga small-time shops na maaaring hindi pumasok sa criteria for taxation ni BIR.
2131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those reliable exchanges on the market on: July 10, 2020, 03:55:26 PM
There are many exchanges that is great to use to trade cryptocurrencies, it will just vary on whom you use first or where you familiarize first, some are using old exchanges since they already proved their existence, some are using new to try brand new promotions. It really depends on how you see each exchanges. I use Binance more often than Bitmex since I do futures trading with 125x leverage, don't get me wrong bitmex has a high liquidity also but so binance does plus with 125x so I can really maximize my low capital turning into high gains. Ohh and yes, there is no safe exchange, still  Wink
2132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin cost on: July 10, 2020, 02:32:36 PM
Honestly there are some transactions that are free from fee. Just like transactions using the coins.ph bitcoin wallet.

Yeap. Just fyi, Coins.ph transactions are "free" because they're off-chain transactions. Basically just a change of balance numbers of Coins.ph's database. This is why the transactions are only free only if it's between two Coins.ph users. Same thing with Coinbase <-> Coinbase transactions.
I'm using the same bitcoin wallet, coins.ph, you can say that the transaction from wallet to wallet is 'free' because @mk4 is right, they are off-chain which means that they are not publicly viewed in the blockchain. However the conversion from cryptocurrency to local currency might be expensive, I've already tried it and suffer from unwanted loss.

To sum up this thread, the cost of fees depends on how immediate you need it, the faster the higher the fee, vice versa. Also the congestion of network will vary every time, so always watch out for the fee before buying and selling.
2133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin Must Be Inherited on: July 10, 2020, 02:02:22 PM
It came to my mind after I imagine myself getting a lot of bitcoin, just even 1.0 BTC I had planned it where I would place it when I'm old but I never actually thought that I would inherit it to my heirs.

I don't think getting it done with 3rd party services is good, I don't feel like I'm using it if ever  Huh

What's best that I can think of is written instruction personally made by me so my heirs would really understand, I'll keep it in a safe, I'll make the easier password combination as possible for them to know and that's it.

There's no way my kids will not know bitcoin or crypto, coz I'm their dad.
2134  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: July 10, 2020, 01:29:09 PM
I've read all your opinions guys

2135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: July 09, 2020, 04:58:30 PM
Most new coins are build by greedy developers, many if them aim only on money making, they are less determined on their project success

it would be okay if we develop something that can change the future  , develop it with heart according to our passion without minding the money  .
You can't deny the fact that projects are businesses, it's all about the money after the project's goal coz finding the goal is finding where the money will be coming from, this is also why a lot of projects are failing because of incompetent aims. Projects these are easily holed, you'll see a lot of these that are only copied from the past, the worst? they don't even change a single feature, as is.

in that way we will not be tired of developing it and we will not notice that money will come around  .  can you guys imagine that feeling  ?  i can imagine it  . this crypto world will be a greater place if all devs are like that   .
For the projects to be innovative, there should also be changes in the world where it will be applicable. From what is happening now, I guess there will be more utility tokens in healthcare system.
2136  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: July 09, 2020, 04:33:35 PM
After lumabas na news na kinailangan na ng mga online businesses magregister sa BIR/DTI, based on what I've seen, puros nagsisi register naman na ang mga tao sa social media; though more of the bigger stores. I don't think it makes sense for the smaller online stores to be registered knowing na karamihan sakanila e temporary lang.
2137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know what you getting into on: July 09, 2020, 04:11:15 PM
It does not only take time. Time may or may not be on your favor.

If it is only about time, then you can hodl coins for the longest time possible and make money. But while Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) ended up profitable, Boobscoin and Trump Coin died.
I see the point that you are trying to make, and I agree with it, if the secret formula for success is time then every one should keep every thing tight as long as possible which is not true in the first place. Time still varies, even if you hold a coin for 5 years and it does not move desirably then you can simply conclude that the coin isn't worthy of being in your wallet. Time only favors those coin whose valuable enough and valuable to the people under speculation. Yes, I'm talking about bitcoin.

What I'm saying is that more than blind hodling, you really need to make a careful and thorough research.
Research is the best way through success, you ain't just here to put money in a coin that you think might get you a profit, you are here to secure your profit in coins that has the potential to the market. You won't do less than researching, that's all you need.
2138  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: July 09, 2020, 03:39:12 PM

You mean hyip or ponzi that promises you a certain number of interest? Those are the only type of investment I know that gives you daily percentage of profit which is not advisable to be invested. It has a high risk of losing your money.
Staking is also a kind of investment that you need to invest first before you can start performing or staking and it is better than the investment that you are asking about.

Certainly not Ponzi, but I do not know if it is called Hyip. The investment I am talking about is by registering at some sites and then depositing some coins on the site and then getting a percentage of the profits on a daily or monthly basis.
hyip is a type of ponzi scheme if I am not mistaken.

Well the investment you are talking about is staking, some kind of ponzi where the investment of new investors are being rewarded to you, I'm not sure of the full investment is given to old investors of just part of it but that's how it works. At the end the newest investors will be at the slump and will get rekt so hard when the website closes. That is why profits are given in daily of monthly basis, it depends on many investors they got.

I have subscribed to some of these sites and have been defrauded so I am asking if staking is safer than this.
I don't know any of these, maybe I scrolled out some of this but didn't bother myself to visit. From what you have said, I guess staking is safer.
2139  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: July 09, 2020, 03:09:52 PM

2140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stock to flow showing we are at the start of a Bull Run on: July 09, 2020, 02:29:14 PM
The assumption of yours is quite good, I can clearly see where you are making this and I can say that the market is in a position of bull run however we can't tell which day it will start maybe now coz there has been an up for the price? or it's not happening yet. We would only know once there is major jump in price after a week, then most of us might speculate and can skyrocket the price. Many of us predicted the price of bitcoin to increase after the halving, yet we did not see that much but we surpass the $10K mark last month so it is not bad. What's next? hmm
