2121  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Ako si Dogie's Channel Hacked and became a Crypto Channel. on: September 24, 2020, 04:07:24 PM

Edit: Di ko na-check yung channel mismo pero cover niya yung Gemini and searched about it, it is a regulated cryptocurrency exchange platform.
More info: https://www.facebook.com/esportsinq/posts/2777820282502155

Lnk: https://www.youtube.com/c/AkosiDogie/videos

2123  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Newbie Should be Careful When Received New Follower From Famous Bitcoiner on: September 23, 2020, 06:24:36 PM
~

I mean its already sketchy when some famous people followed you, the number of followers is just so low and also it doesn't have the twitter blue check.

It happened to me a lot on twitter when i joine a giveaway in twitter, after joining the giveaway someone followed me and pm me, its a trustwallet giveaway that i joined and then suddenly a trustwallet account, but not actual legit trustwallet followed me and message me to claim my prize. At first i thought that it was just the second account of the trustwallet but it become clear to be after i click the link because its asking for my private key.

Anyway, scammers are everywhen in social media so just don't trust this kind of account i mean its obvious just looking on their followers and profile.
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Dade to open Casinos and Restaurants for the third time. on: September 22, 2020, 04:03:13 PM
The small business can still hold and survive because the situations have forced that business, and they need to continue their business with whatever it needed.

Here in my state (Tripura, India) the government estimates that close to one thousand shops have closed down permanently, as they have gone bankrupt due to lack of business and lockdown restrictions. And I believe that this is just the tip of the iceberg. If the situation doesn't improve, then we can expect tens of thousands of small scale businesses closing down. Anyway, the casinos are mostly multi-billion USD businesses and they may be able to survive this tricky phase.

I can not imagine if many more shops have closed down because of this lockdown or Covid-19. People will still suffer to survive, and maybe at that time, criminality will increase too since people need money to survive and buy the needs. In the rest of the months this year, I hope the situation will change, and the Covid-19 can be handle by the government, the shops can reopen their business, and people will not suffer again.

Probably there are some businesses that needed to start open the businesses that produce foods etc. which is really necessary. with the exception of some restaurant.

But compared to other businesses like casino's the government is really a force to close every kind of business that usually have a lot of people inside, I think the government or the countries just didn't manage to lockdown the virus, in my opinion if the lockdown was perfectly executed they could easily opened businesses at some places which the virus is already cleared. Also at some point the government just doesn't want to risk it because it is going to affect the economy if a lot of businesses close.
2125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm scared of ethereum gas fee on: September 20, 2020, 09:03:47 PM
What if ether price goes up to more than $2000 dollars.. How will people or new cryptocurrency users be able to cope with the gas fee. As I can see so far, the current gas price has been giving people tough time. I remember when we used to use 2 gwei for gas price.
I don't think the Ethereum network congestion can reduce with time.

I guess fees are always a problem in a lot of popular tokens like Bitcoin or Ethereum and some other cryptocurrency. But its kinda normal to a lot of users already increasing and decreasing of the transaction price of fees.

Congested network, traffic in the network, demand in the token could be the reason to high fees but still, you might just use some other tokens to avoid high transaction fees.

XRP have lower transactions and a good choice that you could use if ETH or bitcoin has a high transaction fee but still depend on the platform it what gas you could use.
2126  Local / Pamilihan / Re: SELLING $1200 BTC for only 46K GCASH! on: September 20, 2020, 08:42:13 PM
Haha. Easy lang. Hayaan muna, too good to be true kase yung offer mo, kaya di maiiwasan na nagiging cautious mga tao. If willing naman yung seller/buyer ng may escrow mas better.

Willing to offer my escrow service din if okay sa future buyer mo.

2127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 20, 2020, 08:17:56 PM
~

Im sure that cold wallets or hardware wallets are still safer than exchanges, their might be some issues in offline wallets that a lot of people encounter, and also there are some issues too when it comes to exchanges.

Still their are a lot of exchanges that you could also trust to invest your funds, also the only advantage in exchanges is you could convert/buy/invest your funds in other cryptocurrency that could potentially increase its market price, but when it comes to security hardware wallets/offline wallets are surely better than using exchanger as a wallet and it is not advisable when it comes to long term investment.

Probably because not all exchanges could sustain the market a big dump in the market could potentially bankrupt the exchange's website.
2128  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: September 20, 2020, 06:11:17 PM
We can`t really predict what happens in bitcoin when vaccine will launch all over the world. It may be an open opportunity to use bitcoin as means of payment and it might turn on also to other investors in companies or corporations again as preparation for slow development and recovery. We don`t know aside from it makes a great impact with the price in regards with crypto or stocks.

I don't because corporations are now paying more attention to bitcoin after the pandemic, and so are everyone.
Currently, the bitcoin mining hashrate is at an all-time high. Miners will not let bitcoins fall in price because that means losses.
I don't believe bitcoin will depreciate after the pandemic.

Bitcoin mining hashrate does not yet affected much the price of bitcoin. Miners cannot also dictate the price of bitcoin rather than the market players who control the price. Yes, it might not depreciate much after this pandemic, but we just be ready when it will happen.

I totally agree that we cannot predict what could happen when that corona vaccine launched or how it is going to affect the market price of bitcoin.

My opinion here is bitcoin experienced a big dump when the coronavirus exploded around the world and also affected the economy of a lot of countries and also the stocks are down.

When the corona vaccine becomes available around the world for sure its easily going to eliminate coronavirus. Meaning there is no need for a lockdown anymore also jobs and business are going back. It is going to affect the economy and give it back to normal. And I think it is going to potential boost the bitcoin and increases its market price when the vaccine launched.
2129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My taught of plagiarism, spamming and scam in forum. on: September 20, 2020, 05:15:20 PM
Spamming and plagiarism is even worst when there is no merit system implemented, especially when signature campaign is still a thing the account farmers they post the exact sentence throughout their accounts, and creating a thread and using their other accounts to spam the topic using one sentence.

But atleast now i think the forum has been regulated well, and there are more members that are contributing quality topics to the forum.
When we are governed by the system, we definitely have to follow it and start learning how it work. Many user have turned into better member with higher ranking because they know thats how they can hit a target and many have to stick to their old position and habit of constantly posting spam.

To become an established and useful member we are never forced, but this is an impulse from within us who want to make the forum a place of origin for knowledge about crypto. Regarding plagiarism and copy-pasting, in my opinion some beginner dont know about the forum rules because they are too lazy to read. It has to be fixed and they have to know about the rules.

Probably most of the time beginners are caught because its either they don't know the rules or they were just lazy, Just copy paste everything and put it in the forum.

I think Plagiarism happened because of laziness or either you just don't know about something and then just get something online, might also because of merit since they want merit they need to good topic or content that they could just get online. Also spamming is just because of signature campaigns in order to payout they need to rush the post.

Whatever their reason is the rules are needed to follow and there is no exception even for newbies and high ranks.
2130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Lockdown in every country on: September 20, 2020, 04:40:48 PM
I think in my country the citizens that are joining crypto are also expanding, it seems they realize that it's also good to invest especially in cryptocurrency, but for me the majority of them are getting scammed, because not only the price that is growing but the also the scams and fraud are spreading during lockdown.

It could just depend on the country or the government, we can't really expect the government to easily just accept bitcoin since the technology is decentralized, government is not always gonna risk just to support it.

I think in my country bitcoin is not really popular and not a big percentage of people are using bitcoin probably because of a lot of news that involving it in scams, Government do not ban it but not really support it.

The government can't really fully banned it since people can still use it even if they did ban it, lockdown also could potentially boost bitcoin at some point because the government is encouraging digital transactions.
2131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious question about Bitcoin. Is it a reliable and stable investment? on: September 20, 2020, 03:20:28 PM
<...>If you observe the market even in short term you could probably earn a big profit already in just a small time.
<snip>
Always good to stay keeping in touch with bitcoin investment. I'm actually stuck right now between hodling it or trade it already to an stablecoin like USDT.
Short term trading of bitcoin can't guarantee high profit, unless bitcion suddenly spiked and you're so lucky that you are checking bitcoin's current price and decided to sell it.
But that's unlikely to happen on short term trades so don't give some kinda false hope though it's possible to happen.

Maybe you can't always guarantee a high profit in a short term investment but it's still possible when it comes to bitcoin at I've done it a lot of times in the past investing my money when the market price of bitcoin is a dump. Could not be possible in other cryptocurrencies in the market since bitcoin is a bit different and special compared to the other.

You always have a chance to get profit when you have experienced and know the right time to buy/invest in bitcoin also the right time to sell your investment. Your not going to lose your money if your not going to sell your investmentt and the opportunity to sell could always come.
2132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious question about Bitcoin. Is it a reliable and stable investment? on: September 19, 2020, 04:53:30 PM
Do you guys consider bitcoin a reliable and stable investment for long term holding(5-10yrs)?

I don't have much information about IRA. But I can say that Bitcoin can be quite profitable if you are willing to keep your money on it for a long period as you said. I think Bitcoin is not very short-term friendly but a good choice for a patient investor.
Bitcoin is not stable investment but a good investment to those who know how to trade and to managed their funds, it is not like you buy and wait then earn, there is a need for work to be able to gain in this investment. It is risky and needs to be very much focus in monitoring it as price varies depending on news and analysis. But unlike other altcoins or cryptocurrency, bitcoin is much safer and stable than them.

Probably I would stick in bitcoin investment because I already know and have experienced in cryptocurrency, in my opinion, bitcoin is only the best investment where you could potentially earn a high profit because of the value volatility. If you observe the market even in short term you could probably earn a big profit already in just a small time.

You could also invest in trading if you know how to trade altcoins in an exchange, you could invest money in a trusted exchange that you choose and then buy altcoins that you think have the potential to increase its price. I might earn a decent amount of profit daily in trading and new projects.
2133  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone heard or know about this bitcoin website? on: September 19, 2020, 04:27:51 PM
I started using zefinex.com,And it just says to me "Protection from bots, Your new account is temporarily restricted in withdrawal, deposit 0.12 btc so your account will be activated"
something like that.
now I wanna know if its a scam or is it legit site?
thank you

The websites seem to be legit when you visit it because the design of the websites seems to be good looking but still.

I wonder how you can know this platform because this sites created just 2 days ago. If you looking for trusted and popular centralized exchanges you can choose Binance, Kucoin or Coinbase. You won't be asked to deposit xxx amount like this scam exchanges.

Having a website that is 2days old is always sketchy, no one is going to trust a website because it doesn't have the trust one the users and investors yet.

In my opinion, there is a high chance that the website is a scam, for me, I will not take the risk of investing in this kind of website because there are so many options exchanges in the market that are available that is trusted than this websites.

The method of depositing first to activate your account already suspicious, looks like a classic way of scam websites.
2134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should bitcoin be introduced into the educational sectors on: September 18, 2020, 04:39:41 PM
Good day guys, I'm here to discuss your different views and opinions if bitcoins should be infused into educational institutes. Although I personally think that if such action is taken, Bitcoin economy will expand and more traders will come into the crypto market with these few points:
Bitcoins a completely decentralized digital currency built with the knowledge of its unidentified creator Satoshi Nakamoto, Roughly 12 years ago the knowledge of this currency was know to only a group of internet surfers but over the years as more individuals were told about this so did the bitcoin economy grow and the current market capitalization of the economy is estimated at about $117.81 billion. Businesses both big or small have decided to integrate the bitcoin platform into their activities. Thus making useful change within the bitcoin economy.

The decentralized nature of bitcoin is made possible with the P2P protocol creating autonomous transactions which helps in attracting the attention of investors to itself.

The payment system on the platform can allow users to avoid issues like double spending.

All these talk balls down to the fact that bitcoin economy has greatly improved due to communications and information over the years and why I was in school, I had no one to tell me about the crypto world but when I came across @Chris Barth
Code:
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2569032
Although I suspect you may very well know him he told me about the community especially the bounty section but my point is this students have no one to do this in their various schools and countries. And I will continue to support and promote bitcoin in any means I can.
Feel free to drop your different perspectives and correct me where I'm wrong.
                                                                              Thank you!

When it comes to educational sectors about bitcoin or putting it as one of a subject in schools is i think a nice idea in order to give students a knowledge and idea about cryptocurrency and also bitcoin.

Bitcoin is already getting popular in a lot of countries and a lot of people could totally see it as a future currency, that is why i think we need to teach it to student as it might be the future technology, still i think their is no need for a whole subject for cryptocurrency or bitcoin, for me putting it as a topic or just having a few discussion about it just to give the basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and bitcoin to students is already enough.

And then it is all depend to the students if they wanted to also learn the advance things about bitcoin or if they just want to buy and invest in cryptocurrency.
2135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: September 18, 2020, 03:41:15 PM
haha. Invest $ 1 per day in bitcoin but who can sell it to you in such small amounts, if investing $ 30 per month sounds better than $ 1 per day.
The great idea that the next 5 years bitcoin will go to the moon and the profitable is x5-x10. If you can't get to the moon then at least there won't be any further discount. A great investment and no loss in the meantime.
Exactly so, investing $ 1 per day in bitcoin is not reasonable as the transaction costs can be much greater than $ 1.
Unless the banks allow an investor to deposit money and convert them into bitcoin. That would be an interesting kind of service if it happened.
Investing weekly or monthly is better than daily. In 5 years, it will probably be a highly profitable investment.
Banks will not accept this service. They only accept FIAT money or maybe in the future, they accept Bitcoin instead of FIAT. There has never been a fiat to Bitcoin conversion service, they bear transaction fees, and providing an asset like bitcoin means they are at a loss. Bitcoin is scarce and cash is not, remember that.
Investing directly $1 per day into bitcoin is not anymore feasible today, transaction fee is really high, things have change a lot as the price have increase a lot also. The best way is just to invest in a semi annual or in annual basis, you can save from the fees as you will only transact ones or twice a year.

For the meantime, hold that fiat value or deposit in your bank, in our bank, there's no fee for deposit but if you will deposit $1 per day, that would take time and effort either doing it online or going directly to the bank.

Totally agree, Buying every day with 1$ is going to cost you a big amount of fees, you might probably find a platform to easily buy or convert your fiat money to bitcoin easily without paying a higher fee.

Investing your money in bitcoin or going all out when the market price is low is a better move than investing daily, also bitcoin market is pretty volatile with that investing at low and then selling when the market price high could make profit easily, Just sell when the market is pumping and then always invest or buy when the market is a dump to no miss any potential profit.

Still investing in bitcoin basing in the statistics would still make a profit if you just sell it at the right time.
2136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: September 17, 2020, 06:08:11 PM
If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty would you reveal the identity?

Vote Yes or No?

Discuss ...

EDIT1:

Would your choice be influenced on the basis that the candidate was already dead or still alive?

I think if I found that out I would like to reveal his identity just for fun and information, knowing who created bitcoin is kinda cool and I think its really a thing that everyone should know.

Know who creator made bitcoin is I think will not make a difference at this time and it's not really going to make the market value increase or somehow hype the bitcoin community again.

But I guess it is good information to share with everyone who uses bitcoin even though a lot of people are not going to believe it.
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why government Don't kill btc? on: September 17, 2020, 05:22:21 PM
What is Stopping?

Why government Don't kill btc?
Why They protecting the btc?
Its Becouse They own Secretly btc?

Like They did with Gold in USA They banned Gold then They Secretly bought Gold in  history

Bitcoin is a great asset to the USA since its a good technology that is used in digital transactions and compared to some countries I think the USA is one of the countries that utilize bitcoin.

For sure they could see big potential to the bitcoin technology that is why they have no intension in killing or banning since it is a great asset that could also be useful in the future.

Compared to some countries that bitcoin is banned USA is different, still, we don't know who owns bitcoin probably it might be a countries secret but we just don't know who owns its or is it just one person Satoshi.
2138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: September 16, 2020, 07:20:13 PM
If they'll need it, I can make you sure that they will understand it very quickly.

For now, a lot of countries are not exposed to digital transactions and still using fiat money as a mode of transactions, and it is most reliable to use for them since everyone knows it already.

I think someone could easily understand bitcoin when explaining to them or someone teach them how to use it.

It won't be easy because many of them are still behind, what i mean is ,many of then doesn't know modern technology and how to use it. The easiest way i think is to teach them one by one or let their love ones teach them so that they can understand it. Also in teaching them avoid to introduce bitcoin in a complicated way. Just make it simple so that old people can understand.

Some countries that already exposed to digital transactions could easily adapt to cryptocurrency and bitcoin in my opinion. Teaching them or helping them understand how to use or what is bitcoin is going to be easy compared to someone that don't really up to this kind of technology. I guess you need to be good at explaining in order to help them easily understand bitcoin, their are only basic knowledge at points that they just to understand it and use bitcoin as a mode of transaction.

I don't have a readymade answer for this. My father is 78-years old and I have been teaching him how to use a smartphone for the last 4-5 years. And even after all these years, he can only do the most basic tasks on his own. I have given up teaching and I guess he will be OK with whatever knowledge he is having. When it is so difficult for the old people to learn even the basic technology, I don't know how you guys are expecting them to understand complex technology such as cryptocurrency and Blockchain.

I guess we have the same thing, as I teach my father using a smartphone and operate video calls  its a bit difficult to help them know how to use it but overtime I can see some improvements.
2139  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: DITO stocks - dapat ba mag invest na DITO? on: September 16, 2020, 01:50:22 PM

Difinitely will try this IPS kapag naging available na sa lugar namen.
2140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The acceptance of cryptocurrency worldwide on: September 15, 2020, 02:21:42 PM
If all countries can accepted crypto currencies in there various countries, as a means of payment and as a means of online exchanges, such as money is, money is anything use as a means of exchange and general acceptable. With the means I think all cryptocurrencies (bitcoin) will definitely go round the world, and will be use as a means of exchange. I will be so grateful to the creation of crypto currencies. This will also help our future generation, Remember something when we do international transfer across the countries, it may take a while to get the money to your local bank account, but with cryptocurrency you can get instant reflection if bitcoin etc is transfer to wallet,And you can make use of your coin (bitcoin ETC).

Bitcoin has a very high potential of becoming a world currency and I think it is already used in a lot of countries around the world as a currency and a digital currency.

Not all cryptocurrency is going to go around the world as their are so many cryptocurrencies that don't actually have a value. As bitcoin adaptation continues we could see a lot of platforms of the banking system that are already supporting bitcoin conversion that is actually a good sign that bitcoin is being recognized around the world. Bitcoin technology is revolutionary compared to fiat money and it is actually a big jump but still not supported by a lot of countries or government, but as bitcoin adaptation continues it is going to be easy for bitcoin we be used by a lot of people.
