suchmoon, whether they realise it or not, is a very belligerent person who doesn't believe anyone else can have an interpretation that differs to their own.  They will continue to persecute you and indeed anyone else who they perceive has taken a stance against them.

This thread has already gone downhill.  Best not to encourage the trolls such as @suchmoon any further.  (placing them on ignore is best)

BREAKING NEWS:

As you can see from this screen shot taken just seconds ago, it has been announced that the whole eleven LGA's that comprise the Greater Brisbane have been put into a three day 10klm stay at home  lock-down starting at 4pm today GMT +10 (less than four hours from now).

This is due to a school student at Indooroopilly High and their sibling at nearby Ironside Primary school being infectious with other confirmed case from this cluster as far as Noosa and the Gold Coast (i.e. the very north and the very south of SEQ).

All NRL games are cancelled.  All Australian Rules football games cancelled.  All Super Netball games cancelled.

Two NRL teams (didn't hear which) are sitting in a plane in Rockhampton about to disembark after flying there for one of today's NRL fixtures, so had they got off of the plane, the city of Rockhampton would have been put into lock-down too.

Quote
The NRL has placed all 16 clubs on Level 4 bio-security protocols in the wake of the Queensland government announcing a snap three-day lock-down on Saturday morning.

All clubs have been advised to inform their players to return to the team hotels and remain at the team hotels until further notice.

Level four is Hotel lock-down.

Hello again, sorry for the delay.  I needed to reread the FAQ after I'd had some sleep.  I'll take two of the notes please.

I'm curious to have a look at them, however, I feel if they were photocopied (even in B&W) then someone could walk off with the Bag.  Hopefully there's something I'm missing.

Do you want BTC mainnet, or LN payment?
2124  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] FreeBitco.in Signature Campaign | Sr./Hero/Legendary | on: July 31, 2021, 01:24:52 AM
Round 73 Payments have been sent out!

Thank you all for yet another great week! Keep it up Smiley

No new positions have opened up.

I know this may sound an odd question, but what rate were we paid at?  On the TX page, it says the payment was $ 72.50 ( 0.001818 ) for me and $ 80.00 ( 0.001999 ) for others at Legendary rank.

I know two of my posts were in the Off-Topic section, but what were the other two posts that were discounted?

Hello again, I've just come across this thread, I'm interested in these items, however I, would like a couple of hours to think it over due to (but not limited to some (if not all of) of the following):

(A) it's nearly 3am
(D) I need some sleep soon.
(4) Something - something - something....
(c) What time is it where you are & how long do I have??
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC fall below $20,000? Bargain hunting? on: July 30, 2021, 04:30:24 PM
You might want to break out the smelling salts given the price of bitcoin is hovering around $ 40,000 which is double what the last dozen or more (more than likely shill/sock puppet) posters have been commenting on in this thread.

These threads need to auto lock if the OP becomes inactive.
2127  Economy / Reputation / Re: Planned merits vs actual merits on: July 30, 2021, 04:23:36 PM
You may as well add me to your tin foil hat list of half baked suspects because I will make a copy of the urls of posts I would like to merit.  Then, when i have received some merits, I'll go back over my list open the various URL's and merit each - usually in a handful of minutes.

How many threads have you seen suggesting other people's posts warrant merits?

Even for you OP, this really is a half baked thread.
2128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: July 30, 2021, 04:11:23 PM
There is never a wrong time to recommend to a friend that they start buying bitcoin.  Anyone at the entry level needs to understand you won't get rich overnight with bitcoin, and, holding for many years might seem good, all it does is take those funds away from someone who might want to use bitcoin for what it was intended - as a method of secure online payment.

That said, get your friend buying $10, $25, $100 at a time - regular savings bought weekly/fortnightly/monthly during the dips and surges alike.
2129  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin address balance checker. on: July 30, 2021, 03:47:02 PM
I didn't see this thread when it came out, however, I'd just like to make mention of one tool I use for posting the price of bitcoin or the amount of bitcoin in terms of a given fiat as exampled in this quote from my Lightning Loans thread:

Mainnet LN loans are also down to BTC 0.00002 and BTC 0.0000202 repayment if more than 24 hours lent.

At one point in the past, the images stopped working.  I was able to get them going by adding an "S" to the http at the beginning of the URL i.e. https

The above are configurable either on the website https://youmeandbtc.com/bitcoin-converter or tweeking the code.

(and yes, it doesn't check balances, but it can complement your project never-the-less)
2130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest on alts suggestion on: July 30, 2021, 03:31:01 PM
If you're aiming for 2024, then the upcoming bitcoin fork that's penciled in for that year is worth considering as the only contents of your bag.

Hodl for 6 - 18 months after the halving and you won't know what you did before you were rich and famous.
2131  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: July 30, 2021, 03:27:01 PM
People can be scared and dump their bags for any number of reasons, not the least of which are pandemics, natural disasters and financial crashes.  Banks failing causes a rush on that banks liquidity and so it becomes an ever increasingly downward spiral.

Will BTC go down like it did in 2018 - Absolutely!  Today?  Probably not.  This month - dunno.
2132  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin truly evolve into super-sovereign currency? on: July 30, 2021, 02:40:44 PM
In 1944, at the Bretton Woods Conference, Keynes, an eminent economist, proposed Keynes Plan, applying bancor as the unit in settlement and accounting among different currencies. It is the first time in the history of human currency that the concept of super-sovereign currency appeared, offering a rudiment for world currency. Although the plan had been discarded, it showed a feasible solution to our world currency system.

That's utter rubbish - probably taken from whatever website you lifted that piece of text from.

The Trade dollar (United States coin) was just one example from the 19th Century that toyed with the idea that a (usually) one ounce coin in bullion metals (usually gold or silver) would be worth the same across borders regardless of the denomination marked on the surface.

Channel Seven Australia (Seven Network) (who are showing the 2020 Tokyo Olympics) as well as Women's Swimming and Women's Gymnastics today showed Women's Beach Volley Ball (along with shots of bent over butts and replays of the Australian and ROC women embracing in slow motion after each play.  Definitely creepy.

I managed to see most of the Aust Vs GB Women's Soccer match and they briefly (and I mean very briefly) showed very heavily edited highlights from the Australia Vs Fiji Rugby Sevens' game (and they didn't actually say who won!).

If it's not an Australian Female team in skimpy outfits playing for a medal, they're just not showing it...

2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours on: July 29, 2021, 02:19:07 PM
I hope The Eels can put in a better performance than last week and not
get overtaken by The Roosters

Sadly, the Roosters beat the Eels 28 -- 0 tonight.  I saw from the 20th minute to the 50th minute and there were flashes of brilliance on both sides, by the Roosters just managed to find holes and run with the ball easily outscoring their opponents.

I haven't been able to see any of the Olympic Rugby games.  Channel seven (and any other news service in Oz) are obsessed with swimming or gymnastics (i.e. young girls/women in skimpy outfits) above any other matches.  The female feather-weight boxer's gold medal game wasn't shown, only that she lost and was tearful winning silver.

Disgraceful stuff.

@Awaklara - you really don't need to quote your entire previous post - please see this post: [LINK] a couple of posts just up the page by @lovesmayfamilis  where they have just quoted the names of the alts that have been connected.  Clicking on the "quote" information will take a user directly to the relevant post and the information contained therein.
2136  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Suggestions for escrow service on: July 29, 2021, 01:48:33 PM
Hello, my first suggestion would be to update you OP with contact information and terms you've come up with for trades, regardless of whether or not you end up starting a new thread in the Lending Section.

I also feel that any thread you start of an escrow/lending nature should NOT be self moderated.  To me deleting posts, good, bad or indifferent hints of trying to hide something.

Well, i will not be the one personally doing trades but i have built a platform for that, to handle escrow, it is totally automatic and all i will do is maintaining, trying to integrate smart contracts, and adding multi-sig along the way, any idea on how to make multi-sig easier for users?

There *was* a website four or five years ago that had a fully automated escrow service (yes, two of three or similar I believe)...  It worked exactly as the author said it would, so a scammer set a trader up locking considerable funds in such a break-proof escrow.  The scammer revealed they had no intention of going through with the deal, so the funds are still locked away, the web author refunded the scammed person (out of their own pocket) and the website got taken down.

I would recommend exercising caution in setting up such a website without limiting the exposure by either party to such a scam.
2137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: July 28, 2021, 05:23:12 AM
I personally do not play slots, but do you think that is why people like slot machines? Short of breaking their code?

The only "code" to speak of is the code of statistics. Chance and statistics are interchangeable in this instance... One in a hundred, one in a thousand, one in a million

However if you played a game where there was a one in one hundred chance of winning, after ninety-nine rolls, you're still not assured of winning in roll one hundred as you are back to square one for each turn (i.e. one in one hundred)

After a thousand turns you probably still won't hit the win. Chance and statistics are like that.

2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Lightning Poker - Bitcoin Lightning Network Texas Hold’em (open source) on: July 28, 2021, 02:01:08 AM
Welcome to the bitcointalk.org forum - Can you post you node addresses here please? - I'm interested in the Lightning Network and you can see my posts in various LN threads around the forum and try to add nodes with a small amount to enable me to be connected to more users.

As far as I understand, your project is not new, did you have a delay in development due to the market?

Looks more like a consolidation of previous multiple threads into one.
2140  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Adult Industry Data Startup Seeking Blockchain/Finance Partners on: July 28, 2021, 01:37:28 AM
Greetings, might I suggest you have a browse through the altcoin discussion section, specifically those coins of an Adult nature - some are active, others not, but they would be the first ones to approach to assist you in getting your venture up and running.
