Is there a ways to know which btc address is from?
Like I can see some btc address that starts with 1 and sometimes its from blockchain but I'm not really sure. how do i know its from any hard wallet such as multibit or bitcoincore.  some of them also starts with 1. they may be even from exchange sites.

If you know how the wallet, e.g. handles change or selects inputs you can make an educated guess. You can never be sure though. Well, unless its bc.i. They state on their HP if they relayed a TX first. That could also mean someone used their site to push a TX created elsewhere, but Id says thats uncommon.
2123  Economy / Reputation / Re: Question about this Msdn drama on: March 26, 2016, 10:06:14 AM
Well if i understanding you, the reason they give -rep is because it's agains the TOS from microsoft to sell keys from msdn right ?

Yes.

But it's as well against the TOS from netflix and co to RESELL/SHARE accounts Smiley

so why not all of them get as well =rep ?

Members on default trust have no obligation to do so. You need to find someone that is motivated to go against these. These are community enforced rules not forum rules and if the community does not care, no ratings are left. Vod cares about MS keys. From what I read, Lutpin, mexxer-2 and whywefight go against carded/hacked accounts. I no longer follow the digital goods section though, so it might have changed without me noticing.

-snip-
Breaking into accounts and selling the logininformation (which is what crackers do) isn't permitted by Netflix of course. It's also against the forum's rules. Mods have recently started being more active getting those topic down but some suspicious ones still stay up for a while somehow.

If its clearly illegal, its against the rules. This is however not always the case.
2124  Economy / Reputation / Re: Question about this Msdn drama on: March 26, 2016, 09:56:47 AM
Sorry but then the point is not valid because resale of netflix etc is as well against the TOS .

Which point does that invalidate?
2125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Classic or Core? Which one is better? on: March 26, 2016, 09:51:35 AM
Source?
IIRC it was from some pool. However, one would have to validate this himself as people tend to use such charts for manipulation. You can see this clearly as there is zero indication of what this chart represents.

Looks like some sort of votes, hence Id like to see a source to see if there is anything behind it or if its just like a poll here.
2126  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: DoubleBot.com - The only one place to double your BTC with a 100% guarantee. on: March 26, 2016, 09:50:23 AM
Why are people still investing while they already see your negative trust. I hate that people

Do you hate people who are investing their money? Oh, why? Do not they have a choice how to spend their own money?

Let me show you, that negative trust is nothing. 3... 2... 1... - you are red too Smiley

No he's not. Your feedback falls under untrusted hence only you see him red. Only feedbacks from those on DT effects the profile on a whole

Ok, I see. But it's nothing, I (and anybody) can freely create an alternative account with positive trust rating and leave a negative feedback to anybody.

How do you create an account with a positive account rating ?
You have to be placed on the default trust network(dt2 or above) if you want your rating to count. Users posting positive feedback on your profile doesnt count.

Do you think it is impossible to be placed on the default trust network or to buy a account with positive rating?

Its not, it will cost you though.

Do you think that it is really matter, which color do you have here?

Depends what you want to do.

Only one Master-P (with a lot of GREEN POINTS) stolen more than 1 BTC of my own money (and something like 10 or 20 BTC of other users).

As a consequence they have been doxed and a high number of the BTC has been returned.

So, I will not say that people who are believe in this rating are stupid.
I can say that users who made a negative comments to my account are stupid faggots and losers Smiley
I do not like liars, so I can lie about them too.

2127  Economy / Reputation / Re: Question about this Msdn drama on: March 26, 2016, 09:43:52 AM
Hello,

I have a simple question and i really wonder how you will explain this :

So all the sellers get Negative feedback from default trust by selling the so called msdn keys!

Vod for example claim "selling Stolen keys that will stop working in the future.

PLease explain me where msdn sellers steal the keys? you simply get approved my msdn or not there is carding or whatever.

Resale of MSDN keys violates the ToS that has been agreed on with MS. As such microsoft has the right to revoke the keys at any time. This can be different for other forms of keys and the forum does not enforce ToS. Hence the sales are not against forum rules, but suffer community enforce repercussions.

Now some examples :

Sellers who selling like netflix/spotify accounts are as well STOLEN and will STOP WORKING in the future so why all of them does not get negative tagged?

Or sellers who selling other accounts should then get the same no?

I really not understand the drama about msdn

True, the majority if not all netflix/etc. accounts here are very likely hacked. The question is whether someone from DT will go against that or not. There is no obligation and if no one feels motivated to go against the sellers, they will have no negative ratings. AFAIK there are a few people going against hacked/stolen/carded accounts though.

now which is the change and which is the payment?
It does not matter. Both outputs are less than $100. (See original question)  Grin Grin Grin

Still, are these two transactions because its a CoinJoin/Mixer TX or is this a single one? OP will have to decide what they want to see as what. Once they have done that its simple to write a few lines script that will answer their question.
2129  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How Many Bitcoin Transactions are <$100 on: March 26, 2016, 09:00:59 AM

Random as in you don't really know if someone is paying by using multiple tx? That I agree with. But i'm more concerned about the average transaction by anyone using it.

I'm trying to verify the evidence that Ive read in support of The Lightning Network stating those micro-transactions should be off-chain. I want to know if its true that as many as 70% are <$100.

step 1: know which output is change and which is not. Just pulled one from bc.i

-> https://blockchain.info/tx/ab9e6602eb6e94e23655cd723a4e8f41974414452e3a8043a778afa737835808

Does it pay 0.01 btc or 174.... btc? Most likely 0.01 since its a round number, lets take another one

-> https://blockchain.info/tx/9a922e6c2db4b5ad2d6550ed09f2fadf87ccec5535d88979da144b179f59aacb

now which is the change and which is the payment?

Unless you can resolve this, you cant find an answer to your question.
2130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Slow Re-Index and a Transaction that has not yet been sent. on: March 26, 2016, 08:42:14 AM
Is it possible to stop or cancel a transaction from my Bitcoin-QT wallet that is showing offline because the re-index process has not completed?

You can remove the TX from your wallet, yes. You can not remove the TX from the network though. If you already broadcasted it, that can not be reversed.

My re-index takes around 8 or more days to complete and QT has been crashing and causing me to re-index.  I have nearly the entire block-chain downloaded, just 11 days behind due to the last crash

The send transactions still shows as 'offline' in my qt.   The order that this transaction was for has been cancel by the vendor that was expecting it to occur within 1 hour.

I did nor realize it would wait until the re-index was done because QT showed the balance as available.

What are options are available to me to recover the BTC of this transaction?

Since you are refering to your client as "QT" I have to assume its an outdated version. You should make a backup of your wallet.dat and update to 0.12. Once you have updated you can remove the unconfirmed TX with the -zapwallettxes command and syncing will be faster.

In order to remove the TX you:

#1 make sure the client is closed
#2 open run (win + r), enter c:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe -zapwallettxes (modify path if needed) and confirm with ok.
#3 let it do its thing, the TX will be gone once its done.

It looks like my re-index may finish in a couple more days...

My QT system is poor at best, am working on getting a better system to replace it,  right now is is:

WinXP 3.2ghz  2GB RAM 1TB Disk  Dedicated to just running Bitcoin-QT.

Thanks for any help on this!

Another reason to update to 0.12 is your low memory. Older versions have no limit on the number of TXs they accept. 0.12 limits memory (by default) to 300 MB for TXs.

2132  Other / Meta / Re: What is DT? on: March 26, 2016, 08:29:44 AM
DT stands for default trust you can add users in your default trudt list yourself if someone from default trust gives you negative ratung then your trust is red if he gave you positive rating then your trust will be +1 or green.

No. Only a few people can add someone to the default trust network. Anyone can add anyone else to their own trust list, but thats not the list of people that are trusted by default. Also a positive rating will not immediatly make you green, it will grow from 1 to 10 points over time (1 for each month).

I suggest you check out the last couple pages of bitvest, it seems that they aren't updating/paying right now.

Please provide a link, because I just read the last 3 pages, just to find this.

Can I suggest a filter for unread posts that takes out foreign sub-forums in other languages. Seems to be increasing or maybe its just my eyes are drawn to different languages.

ignore the boards that you dont want to see.

There's a tool for this created by theymos. It doesn't have a nice UI but it does it's job. The sequence is determined by the time created, from oldest to newest.

https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=334898 [Replace the ID of the user]

This is sweet Cheesy Where did you find that?

theymos told us[1], its also in the hidden links thread[2] somewhere. Though not in the OP, that hasnt been updated for some time.

I needed something similar sometime back when I was searching for a thread, I knew the user who started it but couldn't find a way to search the threads started by them.

Maybe in the new forum, a link to this can be added on the show posts page of the user's profile.

[1] too lazy to search

2136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest me Safest bitcoin wallet on: March 25, 2016, 08:09:09 PM
Buy a used cheap PC. Download the Core and don't use the PC for anything else then Bitcoin. (Make backups!)

That's the way I store my BTCs. Can't think of a safer method.

buy a cheap USB flash drive and install live linux on it for free then install whatever wallet you want there.
Is that really possible? But it does open to risks as soon as it's connected to PC right?

Almost none as long as you boot from it and dont go online with it.
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core version 0.12.0 is now available on: March 25, 2016, 01:44:54 PM

I don't really have a issue with bandwidth and since it's a torrent it would take hardly 3-4hrs to download it but the problem is I don't have 60 gb of storage lol, yeah got a lame ass pc. I will check out electrum, I also have heard about armory is that a good wallet?
It isn't a torrent, and you definitely should not download the torrent for it. That is actually slower than syncing normally over the p2p network.

You don't need 60 Gb of storage. You can have the prune option enabled which can reduce the space used to around 2 Gb.

Armory is a good wallet but it requires Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Core must not be pruned. You would have to download all 60+ Gb of the blockchain in order to use Armory.
Thank you for your help, I just check electrum and it seems fine for my use. But if bitcoin core is betterbetter, then I would give it a shot too.

Both have their advantages and their problems. Core needs constant backups, electrum only a single one (the seed, write. it. down!). Core makes you part of the network, electurm needs others to run servers. Core wallets files are hardened against brute force attacks, electrum wallet files not (or only barely). If you are happy with electrum, stick with it.

Hey there every1 i wanna know how can i safely store 6.xx bitcoins of mine? Please don't recommend hardware wallet as they are waste of money as i ak sure there are some other safe bitcoin wallets.I want a wallet that is independent means even if some service shuts down i still have control of my bitcoins. Is blockchain.info wallet safe?

Well, they send you a backup via mail, but you said you dont want to use a service.

As they say they always get our password in encrypted form.is that really true?is there service shuts down will i still have control over it?Please help me friends how can i backup my wallet and store it in say usb drive and store it somewhere safe.is that possible? or any other best bitcoin wallet? and yet don't recommend desktop wallets which can easily be affected by malware

Looks like you already know what you want. So why post at all? The safest way is to use an offline wallet, but thats either a hardware wallet or a desktop wallet. Neither is what you want.

Edit: missed the obvious paper wallet as discussed below.

2140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to send 0-fee tx in 0.12? on: March 25, 2016, 09:41:23 AM
Under 0.11.2 I never had a problem creating a 0-tx fee. But after upgrading to 0.12, I always get the error "mempool min fee not set" when I try to send it. There's an ugly workaround of calling prioritisetransaction as described here: https://git.io/vabUJ. But that doesn't work if the mempool is already full, so I first have to restart the daemon to clear the mempool, before I can send the reprioritised tx.Is there a workaround that doesn't require restarting the daemon?

Many  people see  creating 0-fee tx as wrong. It just clogs the network as you can do 0.00000001 sends  in bulk amounts.

so just pay the minimum 0.00005  isn't that cheap enough for you?

Or are you looking to do many sends of 0.00000001 for free?
It is impossible to do that. Free transactions requires the criteria of free transactions to be fufilled to get relayed. Bitcoin Core does not relay transactions with outputs less than the minimum amount of 546 satoshis. This would effectively render these kinds of spam useless.
Will not that make some Satoshi's useless for ever.I have 1000 Satoshi in one wallet and now I dont use that wallet anymore.Although it is a small amount but I once tried to move it to my new wallet but was unable to do because this amount is less than minimum prescibed amount. If everyone of us has some amount left in our abondoned wallet, will not this make lots of coins out of use?

No you can still combine it with other inputs[1]. It is also not true that nodes do not relay "free" transactions. For one each node operator can configure their node to consider 1 satoshi the "free" limit and not the default 2730 satoshi (546 is no longer the dust limit) and its also possible to increase the number of "free" transactions that get relayed. E.g. I currently allow up to 150,000 free TX with a free limit of 100 satoshi.
