Maybe it is a phishing email?
If you never signed up for coinbase, they shouldn't have sent you an email like this. I suspect that it is a phishing link. There is really no other explanation. Unless someone figured out your email, signed up on coinbase with that email, and then hacked your email and confirmed the account. That is a pretty elaborate scheme though.

Is bitcoin core good? I personally use an electrum wallet and a coinbase wallet. I am not really into security and stuff because I have a small amount of bitcoins, I am trying to say it is not worth to hack my account. What software wallet is the safest? I am trying to increase the security of my bitcoin wallet. I have downloaded the bitcoin core wallet and I obtained through the vanitygen software a new vanity address. How do I import it to my bitcoin core safely? How to setup a password on the wallet?
To import it in safety you can do it in an offline machine, but don't forget it's useless to do so if you've generated your address online. On Bitcoin Core, you can encrypt your wallet on Settings - Encrypt Wallet Can you only encrypt a wallet on bitcoin core? Or can you encrypt other wallets?

What is the status of those users caught copying and pasting posts? Is there any action taken against them?
What's the status of those users caught asking a question which has been answered two posts above? Is there any action taken against them, or do we just have to put up with it because they're in a signature campaign? Most of the time, you have to report the spammers to a moderator before any action is taken. The admins on this forum don't really check whether there are spammers. If the spammers are caught, most of the time they get a permaban. Why should we put up with them just because they are in a signature campaign? That used to be the problem with YoBit because it is a bot and people could just spam. Now hilariousandco has control of the bot and people can't spam anymore. All other signature campaigns won't accept people that spam.

If it is that big it probably should, i can tell you that, for example, the spanish section is pretty much abandoned and theres only a few people talking there so i really dont see any reason not to make that one, in any case delete the spanish one
It's strange what you say about spanish. It is the third most spoken language and the second one most learned. I would await that this language is more widely used because of that. I mean bitcoiners live everywhere. I don't see a reason why spanish speaking people should use bitcoin less more. I guess the countries that speak Spanish, Bitcoin is not developed in yet. Most people that use Bitcoin speak English compared to other languages. Also, not everyone that uses Bitcoin is on this forum. Only a very small percentage are on this forum. I see quite some people that speak Spanish on this forum. It is probably the second most spoken language on this forum, after English.

Sometimes this happens to me. For like 5 minutes, it won't allow me to access Bitcointalk.org. Then after that, it starts working again. I think it is just a bug with Bitcointalk. Sometimes it also says that there is too much traffic on the website and that's why I can't access it. This happen on me as well I thought only me that occur this problem edit: How it looks on my place right now account tab is missing I have had this happen to me a couple of times now. If I access Bitcointalk on my phone, this happens. It really annoys me.

Today I read some online article about dangers Bitcoin can encounter and this problem caught my eye: The Chinese firewall or another Internet issue causes the global Bitcoin network to be split for a few days."The Chinese have a fantastically large firewall that they can use to block Internet traffic," says Hudson. If the firewall caused the Chinese miners to be disconnected from the global Bitcoin network for a few days, during that time, the Chinese miners would still continue to mine the transactions taking place within China, while the rest of the network would be mining a totally different set of transactions. “Realistically, that would look like a fairly irreconcilable fork,” says Hudson. “There’s no mechanism to bring them back together again short of one winning and the other losing completely.” In general, the system only works well as long as the vast majority of the mining hardware is online and a large percentage of the miners follow the same set of rules. So basic Internet connectivity issues and “forks” that occur when different miners run different versions of the software could also cause a drop in the value of the currency. More at: http://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2015/12/28/should-you-invest-in-bitcoin-10-arguments-against-as-of-december-2015/Is this real issue and problem? Why would China want to block "internet trafic"? Most of the Bitcoin users in China are only miners. The Chinese don't really use Bitcoin. If China did do this, it would be no good for them. They will not do this. It is for their own good, and for the good of everyone else in the world.

Any info on who published this puzzle and what's their goal? Also, how would one go on about calculating those pvk decimal values and covert them to the private keys? I don't know why but I'm smelling a big scam. Because a newbie that offer more than 12 000€ to solve a following of numbers this is strange...
The OP is not offering anything Why would anyone pay such a high amount for this? They must have some kind of goal behind it, no one just does that for no reason. Of course the OP is not offering anything. Why would he? He probably doesn't even know what to do with it when someone cracks it. I don't either. This will take a very long time to crack, thats probably the reason why the reward is so high.

Personally, I don't gamble on cryptsy. If I do gamble, I use Primedice or crypto-games. These are the only two gambling sites I use. I think primedice is the most popular gambling site. A lot of people have stopped using cryptsy because if you try withdraw 0.3 or more Bitcoin, it won't withdraw. It took them 5 days for them to process my final withdrawal of about .03 BTC, very risky at this point, personally I wouldn't deposit any BTC on their site again. BEWARE!
I don't know why people use cryptsy, Primedice is much better. There are also many other sites that are better than cryptsy. The era of cryptsy is over.

The website is down anyway. I am pretty sure it needs to be online to have every private key. This is definitely not a big threat, why did you even think it was? Was the site working when you saw it? No. It would take billion of years to check or browse every private key. This site doesn't have every key on hard disk because it's to much. It's generated on the fly.
There are too many private keys in the world, I doubt this website has even one-quarter of the private keys. There are private keys generated every single day. There is no chance this website can be keeping up with this.

@OP: If this loan is funded on another thread you should lock this thread to avoid confusion.
Yeah you really should. A lot of people would have thought that this loan was still available. Can you please tell the person who made the topic to lock it.

I feel that the next resistance is $500. The price of bitcoin is yet to beach $500. It has stayed in the high four hundreds but that is all.

I am not really a bitcoin trader, so I don't buy or sell bitcoin regularly. I just bought bitcoin when the price was around $100. I have been hodling since I bought them.

I was never really panicking about the bitcoin price. I have been waiting a long time to sell my bitcoin and I really want to see the price reach $1000.

How would you go about escrowing this sort of stuff? I am interested, please pm the details.

First of all, please can you post some pics of the phone. It seems like a complete scam right now, a newbie ''selling'' a new iPhone.

I voted $1000 plus it's long been prediction that bitcoin will rise up to $10k in the future and now is the right momentum many popular companies are accepting bitcoin now and many sites are created specifically for bitcoin so 2016 bitcoin will be the year bitcoin will increase it's value further and I am not alone on this thought
Yeah. I did as well. I truely believe that Bitcoin will rise over $1000. With halving around the corner, the price will be going up soon.

He never said that as far as I know , but he said the following :
Feb. 14, 2010: "I’m sure that in 20 years there will either be very large (bitcoin) transaction volume or no volume." which means 2030 (if we start counting from the day he posted the quote on the forums ) and not 2020 .
Exactly. When did he ever say this? Don't just go around spreading bad rumours about Bitcoin. Can you give us a link to where he said this, or is it just fake?

I really don't think that Bitcoin is ever going to back under $400. I think that Bitcoin has a higher chance of going over $1000 compared to going below $400.
