Abkhazia? Wouldn't it be easier to say Georgia? It's not a country, just a part of territory of another country.
~

No. You can't say "Georgia" in this case, because it would be misleading. Abkhazia is a part of Georgia ruled by separatists backed by Russia. So, the "Abkhazia's government" is doing what their masters in Moscow are telling them to do, in accordance with what is taking place in Russia itself.

2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 15, 2023, 08:18:54 AM
Like almost everyone else here, I think Joshua is going to win. I mean, apart from the odds and stuff, look at the poster of the event: the two faces looking at us. Doesn't it feel like Jermaine Franklin knows he's going to lose the fight? Also, recently Franklin said he is "going to aim for a knockout victory", which, in my opinion, means he is counting on luck. That is not the best mindset before the fight, if you ask me.

But I really admire your expecting Franklin to win. I love betting on the underdogs myself.

It's great that another BITCOIN PREDICTOR by Bitcasino.io is on, and we can compete to win these amazing free spins. Good luck to all the participants!
Just posted my first prediction. Am expecting BTC to continue dropping in price slowly and steadily for the rest of this month, but it will most likely stay above the $20K mark unless something really negative affects the market.

My second prediction will be more optimistic in comparison. Recent global economic growth is why I feel that it won't drop rapidly anytime soon.

What's interesting is that I was having the same way of thinking till recently. I was making my first prediction like it wasn't related to the same date, it's February 28 this time. But in fact both of our predictions related to the same date, so if you were thinking that the BTC price "will most likely stay above the $20K mark" above the $20K, why did you post "18882 EUR" in the thread? Smiley I mean, I was doing the same things, but I'm still not sure, why? Smiley
2125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: February 14, 2023, 10:45:45 AM
~  Or maybe to be fair, half truths, you cannot apply Martingale to poker, that assessment is false, it works perfectly in roulette and basically betting on red or black, Martingale essentially requires a 2:1 or 1:2, otherwise is any other strategy.

I never heard or seen someone using Martingale in poker games, if there is, this is the first time.  Martingale is a devastating strategy if we don't know the right time to stop and reset.  It is indeed good to use in roullete but still if we happen to have a bad session, it can still make a huge impact in our bankroll.

Martingale strategy can be used when playing Video Poker. I'm doing it from time to time, and it's fun. You should try it. As it is always with purely luck based games, there's no guarantee that you will not lose your entire balance following this strategy, but if you are ready to stop in time, or your entire balance is not that big, try it, starting from the lowest bet possible, of course.

Also, it would be interesting to see more replies regarding the question in the OP.
2126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 14, 2023, 09:50:21 AM
^

If a person wants to save money for something or have savings he simply limits his mindless spending until he reaches his goal.

If you can't control your emotions while gambling, you probably won't be able to finish the game after a big win and lose all your money. Learn to leave the casino a winner, it is very important.

The thing is that even if you have the strength to leave after a big win, it's not the solution, because you will be back the next day, or several days after, and what you will be doing then? I mean, knowing that you can win a big amount, will you be waiting for that, rolling and rolling, or, if not, when will you stop? And if you stop today, when will you come back?

I think the problem is more complicated, because when we say "leave the casino", we don't specify for how long: for today, for the week, for the month, or, maybe forever? I myself leave the casino right away after a big win, but only for today, and I know that I will be there next day, and will be playing with the same balance, and my win will be lost ater a month or two playing, but I don't mind because gambling for me is a good entertainment, not a way of making money.

I'm not saying, I never withdraw my winnings. Of course I do, from time to time. But I never save the money, rather, I spend it on various forms of entertainment.  Imo, if you start saving your winnings or spending them on something useful for your household, you might as well be counting on them in the future. And counting on your winnings from gambling is a dangerous thing, that's what I think.
2127  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: February 14, 2023, 08:57:05 AM
~ What matters is that the world after many hundred years of moral evolution has become a place where "a fair competition situation" is the reality. I have to admit, it's not like that everywhere. But there are enough such places, you just have to find them.

I‘ve never said or implied that being sympathetic and helpful is equivalent to being a loser. Actually, I am the type of the person who is always sympathetic and helpful but this does not help in the real business world. You can't even protect yourself when bullied by whoever in the workplace not playing by the rules while you still stick to the rules. The fair competition situation never exists unless you are strong enough. "I have to admit, it's not like that everywhere. But there are enough such places, you just have to find them.", this is really misleading sometimes because each of us is living a a real world, not a video game that we can choose from. Why do we have to look for a fair environment? Or is this in our control that we can find one ? I really doubt that. The best way to deal with any unfairness is to be strong enough, fight agains it and never give up. When the day victory comes, we can probably create a competition situation that intends to be fair and justce. It will never work if you just stand as a sympathetic man who is incompetant to cope with all unfairness around. I would never be that man.

I didn't mean you should necessarily follow my advice. I thought you asked how to achieve your financial freedom, and I tried to help based on my own experience. It's not "misleading", it's just not the way you prefer to deal with things. In my opinion, if you can't achieve financial freedom at where you are, maybe you should chance the environment instead of trying to change people around you? Most of all I wish you success on your own way. I just think it's a hard way, and so I try to suggest an easier one.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 14, 2023, 07:28:44 AM
Number one sign for me is spending more then you intended to or should ever risk on the game.   Having an allocated budget for anything is a positive over blind spending, so perhaps not having a bad habit of spending all your cash available on that one day can help prevent any negative chain of something leading to compulsive gambling.
Risking it all might be a common thing but if it leaves a person without anything left for food and other essentials even if they are ok later that week, I'd say thats a dangerous road to be walking down.  To rely purely on the gamble result is too extreme and puts the player in a position they are no longer in control.   Forget the risk, this attitude imo will lead to greater losses and poor gameplay it wont lead to a winning strategy imo.

"Risking it all" has been romanticized for centuries in theaters, books and later in movies and TV series. And I forgot to mention video games. It certainly romanticized there as well. I don't know what the right word, "hate"?, for describing what I feel about those authors who have made "Risking it all" attitude attractive to so many people, and although I don't want to hate anyone, I'm afraid that's the right word.

~
To all plebs player like me, Try craps and bet only with fixed amount on one number. Winning a bet on craps is like winning a Blackjack hand due to its high pay rate.

You don't mean it's a winning strategy, right? Smiley I'm sure, you don't, but it might look like that for some people, so, let's get this straight, there can't be a winning strategy in games like craps, games purely based on luck. I'm not against such games, though, it's fun. Especially when your friends are around and you are kinda competing with each other. Only I personally enjoy slots more, because the payouts you can expect in slots(with the same bet amount) are incomparably higher than in craps.
2130  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 13, 2023, 11:21:52 AM

We still have plenty of time till Oscars, and I'm waiting for the betting options for this event on FreeBitco.in as well. In previous years we used to have many categories to bet on. I don't remember how many, but more than 5, I'm sure. It's been always one of my favourite kinds of betting, because I love watching good movies, and there are always many of really good movies among Oscar nominations.

To tell the truth, I always lose some money when betting on Oscars. I'm never in profit from this, but it's so entertaining that I will never stop betting on the Academy Awards. I might lose several bucks, but the fun is worth it. Hopefully, we'll get it on FreeBitco.in this year.

I remembered the time during the Will Smith fiasco, there were some comments that mentioned almost everyone forgot or couldn't give a toss about the Oscars until it happened.

And I remember the film Parasite (2019) winning in the Best Picture category, and the odds for this film on FreeBitco.in were above 3.00. I didn't win my bet back then, because I bet on fkn Joker, although I loved Parasite, and still love it. I just couldn't imagine that the world was so fair that such a great movie could win. Apparently, I was wrong. Smiley ...

But since neither @freebitco.in PR, nor @TheQuin are replying to our requests about the option of betting on Oscars, I'm starting to think that there will be no such option this year.
2131  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: February 13, 2023, 09:17:10 AM
Note that Russian troops are essentially fighting Nato troops, with a few US troops thrown in. Ukraine, itself, is essentially dead militarily. If the public of the US and Nato countries don't take active, willing part in the war, the whole thing will collapse shortly.

Seems like the US is starting to back off in their support of Ukraine. And the people of the Nato countries are getting fed up with their forced involvement by their leaders.

Cool

Any real evidence of that, or is it just what you want to believe?

People of the civilized world will not stop supporting Ukraine until the last Russian soldier leaves the occupied areas(Crimea included), because what Putin's regime did was a brutal attack on civilized world, which Russia itself used to be a part of not that long ago. And if such thing goes unpunished, then other barbarians might start thinking they could try to do the same.
2132  Economy / Services / Re: POKER on: February 13, 2023, 07:39:57 AM
Yes, i try to play without rebuy. May be i mistakes, but i think that if i have to rebuy - i`m to bad for this tournament.
I think, overall it's a good way of thinking: the less you spend on your entertainment with gambling, the better. I myself do rebuys, but not more than once.
In my practice, rebuy just helped me to play to the final table. May be i have not enough experience but i never got enough prize to get a profit with rebuy.

No, no, I'm sure you have enough of experience. It happens to everyone: if you do couple of rebuys and you take the last paid place - your profit is negative. Again, I think it's a good practice to do rebuys as rarely as possible.

Interesting. I'm using exactly the same tactic, and it works most of the time. It doesn't work only when your opponent has a really good hand. Then, of course, he calls your bluff and you lose.
With good hand we can do nothing the most of the time. We only have a chance with bluff i think. But with bluff we have the same chance to lose all we have. Bluff can become a deadly mistake.

From my experience, if you bluff but your opponent has a pair of Aces, he calls. Let alone he has something better.
Mostly - yes, he calls, but if we use the bluff we have a chance he folds. In the other way we can wait river and see how he bets. Of course, we have a chance even in such situation, but it is very rare situation.

There's always a chance that he folds even with something like a straight thinking you have a better straight, or a flush. But normally you don't fold such cards because the probability of your opponent having a better hand is small.
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 13, 2023, 07:02:21 AM
We can't be sure of it. Absolutely. Besides, gamblers always can find ways to circumvent  these restrictions, but the harder to do it, the better for them gambling addicts. If they are restricted to the most reliable gambling platforms, they can go to less reliable ones, but they know the risks, so, some of them stop gambling for that reason.

Overall, it's a good thing that providers are required to limit people who are sick and need professional help. It saves many lives, I'm sure.

If they would limit them, they should also let them know the reason why the are being restricted. The providers must provide an acceptable reason so gamblers would know their mistakes. I agree that gambling addicts will always find ways to gamble. If they are being traced and restricted, they will try even the riskiest casinos to fulfill their urge to gamble. However, it will still be a big help for them to be restricted so they will be aware and would have enough time to realize that they need to seek professional help already.

But, as I said, they know the risks. Contrary to popular belief, gambling addicts are not stupid, nor all of them are uneducated. Some of them can be mathematicians even. I personally knew a guy who was teaching probabilities, and was addicted to PvP poker at the same time. And although he was addicted to the game, he would never go to a shady casino to fulfill his urge, because he wanted to play poker, not to just throw his money away.

Well what I can say is congratulations, because achieving that streak and betting in such an intelligent way is something to admire, if people like you take that attitude it would be the perfect medicine for gambling addiction, and with that It would end so much controversy that there is around the subject, because some say that this is the fault of the casino, others that it is the fault of a system that is above the casino advantage itself and a series of things that have been speculated, but I like the way How you make the plays and I go back and repeat it is an intelligent movement and besides you have control, something that very few players achieve.

Thank you very much for your words! I know that people are different, and so there's no universal medicine, but I do hope that my example can help at least some gamblers to stay away from gambling addiction, and maybe can even cure some of those already addicted.

Guys, I'm trying to access the website to place a double bet on the final game of the World Club Cup, but I haven't been able to access the site correctly for some time.
Sometimes the site even logs in, but as soon as I click on Soccer, I get this screen. Other times I can find the game, but then when I click on it to go to another screen, the same thing happens.

Can anyone test and see if it is the site itself that is having some momentary problem?
I tested here in different browsers and on my cell phone.

I'm having the same issue for couple of days already. Tried in two browsers with the same result.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 12, 2023, 01:00:25 PM

You still need to balance and sort things that the AI will provide, like what you mentioned it's still going to depend from how you understand and how you will integrate AI's knowledge to whatever usages you want the help, more on good basis if you find the answer and the statement is true and usable to your desire understanding.

It's still going to be the person's decision
making if he will believe and if he will take what AI provides to him or it can be used as basis before taking the decision that he needs to provide.

Absolutely. It's up to us to decide what to do with that information, but I think it can be very useful if you know how to formulate your question.  Not with the current version of ChatGPT, of course, because it's not connected to the internet and thus can't get the latest info, but in the future when it's updated every hour at least.

~

At the end of the day you can only estimate with certain amount of error, either with or without AI. You're never going to get 100% correct predictions, that's just how probability works.

But on the long run, it actually is very helpful to use the AI as a tool for predictions.

I agree with you. The outcome of a match is dependent on luck, but not completely, that's for sure. Sports betting is a combination of skill and luck, and if you are more skillful than other bettors, you are in profit in the long run.

The funny side of using an AI for sports betting is that it can be more important to know how to put your question than anything else.

~snip~ and something around 300x I did many times. Let's see what this new promo brings to us, shall we? Smiley
The 'Money Train 3' slot has high volatility with low hit ratio. You should try the game if you are feeling lucky. Because, this game will drain your account balance if you don't get the big multipliers within a few hundred spins.
Stake weekly slots challenge is very easy to complete as we need to hit 40× multiplier only. Although the prizepool is low for the forum slots challenge, but you should try it before going for the big one.

Yeah, you are right. That's what I've been doing for the last year or so. I enjoy participating in these contests by Stake. As for this particular challenge, Money Train 3, I did hit a pretty good multiplier

but it wasn't enough to beat Eddie's 300x. Still was a decent win though. Smiley
2137  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: February 12, 2023, 11:44:15 AM
Insured bets. Imagine 5 clubs - The higher the club, the higher the usd amount of insured bet or number of insured bets.

The more you wager on casino, the higher you go in club ranking. To stay in particular club (except the lowest one ofc), one must wager certain amount within period to retain that club, just so things don't get stagnant.

Win-win for casino and player.

Attracting high rollers to your platform is a good thing, of course, but I would suggest to not ignore gamblers who might wager just $10 per month on your site. Make the place attractive to such people as well because there might be many millions of them, and, although staking a little, they can generate a huge turnover due to the number of them.

Yikes, loves everything about this except for your stake. Its less than $1 for your stake and its around $155 of winning. Given that you are into this type of bet quite frequenty, you might want to increase your stake to atleast $1 I guess (?). This could have been $684 of winnings if it was $1 stake but hey its a great betslip overall

You played in poker tournaments with me and thus you might think that staking $10-$15 at once is a usual thing to me, but, in fact, it is not. Those were exceptions. Normally I try to  bet as little as possible, hence the bet sizes you see.

I'm not saying, everyone should be betting like me. I totally understand people staking more to potentially win more, but I would rather place 10 bets of $0.50 than one $5 bet. It's just more exciting for me, that's all. Smiley

I'm wondering how much does it cost to stay in that 2,561 room hotel for one night? I bet it's more than many of us wager within one month.

If you ask me, I have no interest in spending my leisure time in places like this

Interior of the hotel lobby of Marina Bay Sands Hotel Singapore

or playing poker, or whatever, in such areas.

Seriously, am I alone in this? Don't you guys think that playing online can be more enjoyable than inside of that monstrous modern prison?
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is Gambling? ChatGPT Responses. on: February 11, 2023, 02:17:13 PM
I saw a similar post in the bitcoin discussion board and decided to do the same thing but with gambling. I played around with ChatGPT and asked it to explain what gambling is, like I am a 5 year old, 15 year old, 25 year old, and 50 year old. See the responses below:

"Explain gambling to me like I am a 5 year old"
Quote
Gambling is when you play a game to try to win something, like money or toys. It's a little bit like playing a game of luck, like rolling dice or flipping a coin. If you guess right, you might win something, but if you guess wrong, you might not get anything. Just like in any game, it's important to remember to only play with things you can afford to lose, and never to gamble more than you can afford.

I think the only two words a 5 year old can understand in this answer are "play" and "toys". I can't test it right now, no kids of 5 years old around, but that's what I remember from the times when my kids were around that age.

If someone has this opportunity, please read that text to them aloud and tell about their reaction.

And all the other explanations are almost identical, no? Like there is no difference between a 15 year old and 50 year old. Honestly, I expected much more from ChatGPT.
