2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 27, 2022, 02:51:08 PM
I did try to look for Campa's highlights, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYpUKfIY0hA

Could be a good match as both is brawler, however, this is the fight that Lopez excel, maybe except for the Kambosos fight as obviously, he already lost this one. So if they brawl in this fight, I think Lopez will still come up and maybe score a big KO win. Just a couple of weeks from know and we will see how Lopez is, if he adjusted to this division and didn't lose any of his power going up in weight.
I'm still not sold though on Campa and I think he was chosen for reasons, as it will highlight again Lopez style and power as both will slug it out and in the end, the power of Lopez might knock out Campa in the end.

As for the bets, yes, obviously Campa is the underdog and it's good to bet on him. However, still, smart money will go on Lopez, might just be looking for other betting listings from our favorite crypto sports bookies.

And that particular reason is to get Teo Lopez on the loop again and give some hype to his name because he was really affected by that loss he got against Kambosos. Campa might be good but I don't think that he have the strength and power to defeat Teo Lopez that is why there's just a low to slight chance that Teo Lopez will be defeated by Campa.

Smart money if you choose to bet Lopez to win by a KO/TKO, decision outcome is not that great either. If I'll go for the decision with low odds, I might just bet Campa if that's the case.
2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 26, 2022, 08:01:29 PM
What is your opinion on Fake money gambling apps, do you recognize the potential I think they have to assist in reducing the number of gamblers who loose real money?
I don't know other people will feel about it, but when you win with the fake money I think or at least for me it makes wanna gamble with real money if a strategy I tried worked in that demo, so I think it could negatively affect a gambler, this is like people who try to quit smoking when they try vaping with no nicotine, a study showed that the majority of them stopped vaping and went back to smoking cigarettes again.

Yes, that is right! These apps doesn't work the way it is created because the gamblers who are looking to quit from these activities will just find themselves again in a situation where they don't want in the first place because of the hope that these apps created, the gamblers may think that maybe this time they won't be that unlucky anymore.

But, I think a determined gambler who really wanted to quit knows how to keep some safe distance in any instances that could connect them again to gambling activities.
2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If There's No Casino Signature Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same on: July 26, 2022, 07:03:23 PM
obviously, it won't be the same, and not just the gambling board, other boards will probably be affected too. like it or not one of the main reasons why the gambling board is highly active is because of the signature campaign and if the signature campaigns are gone I'm sure we'll see a decrease in posts on this board.

Of course, the same logic if the signature campaign will only accept and count posted in bitcoin and altcoins discussion. I'm certain that the said discussions will be flooded as the participants will post there often and only the true bettors/gamblers will remain in the gambling board to discuss about some events even thought their posts won't be counted.
But that will be impossible because campaigns are more on gambling as it's a casino site, but yes, the gambling board will not the be same if there is not signature campaign existed.
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 26, 2022, 06:22:16 PM
The latest Woj bomb is that Boston is back in the Durant sweepstakes.

https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1551454984314753024?s=21&t=w1qEPWBdZ9JMV3B1ji-y5g

I don’t think it would be a good idea for Boston to get Durant but it seems like they’re always on the list of places Durant wants to play. I’m starting to think the Nets are the most likely team for Durant next season. I would like to see how a Durant and Kyrie trade would play out though.
And break the chemistry? Ouch! They just got to the Finals, that should at least mean something to the Celtics management.
Jaylen Brown will be part of the trade, that's for sure and that also maybe the best offer the Nets could get if ever they want Durant out just to end this long drama.
JB and JT may not like what will happen but the fans may want to see this. KD in green. Somehow it made me reminisce the KG era.

Not a good idea to get Durant while sacrificing the roles players, I hope they will not be greedy, they just go with the process, getting in the NBA finals is already a big success, who knows next time they will be the NBA champion. Celtics has to focus on improving their team not getting an old superstar that could already be prone to injury.

As long Tatum will stay and they will get Durant, that would make the team better I guess. Boston will not gamble if they know that would not help them, however, there's no guarantee, so just like the Nets, they are also taking the gamble if the trade will be successful.

Shams reporting this morning that the Celtics offered a package surrounding Jalen Brown for Durant, which the Nets turned down and then countered. It’s starting to look like a deal might be made this week to send Durant to Boston. I don’t know if this is a good move for the Celtics considering Brown carried them through the playoffs last year, but everyone said Tatum and Brown wouldn’t work so maybe they want to blow up that situation.

It did work though right? Brown and Tatum brought the Celtics into the finals. But I'm thinking that maybe Ainge, since GSW has already laid out the blue print and become successful with Durant, teaming up two superstars (I'm not saying that Tatum is Steph), but a franchise player + Durant might be good to win ring for Boston. So they are wiling to give up either Brown or Smart. But both of them might be a disaster though. I think if Celtics want to get Durant, they should not let both of them included in the trade. For me its better to let Smart stay with them as he anchors the defense.

Even if how good durant is but still it will not guarantee them anything. Much better if they stick with their current rooster because they already prove that their current line up is a title contender already. Maybe the one they need ti do is to learn from their past mistake made because for sure they will became more solid team since both of those guys are young.

Taking durant in exchange with Brown is totally a bad decision to do.

Indeed! The Boston Celtics should just focus on improving their current roster rather than tagging and adding along a player that will probably take some time to fit-in in their system. They reached the Finals last season all because of the hard work of the team, now they are more dangerous because they now have more experience from the last season. Surely they've picked up some lessons from facing heavy teams from the start of playoffs until they got in the Finals.
2125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't sell your precious BTC to the whales! on: July 25, 2022, 09:58:58 PM
We've been here before, you are just making the whales richer, selling your precious BTC for pennies (crappy fiat). The storm will pass, hodl, or try to accumulate even more BTC, it's a great time to buy for cheap. We will make it this time too. Even if BTC goes down to $15,000 nothing is forever. Remember $20,000 down to $3,000? Been through that storm too. Remember, 1 BTC = 1 BTC. To the Moon!
Whales are also waiting for this big opportunity to come because if they can't make the strong hands fall on their trap, for sure the weak hands will sell their coins to them. Not realizing that bitcoin will always recover and skyrocket again in the future. Yes, we have been in this scenario way back before but only those legends have witnessed it, the reason why newbies fail on their decision making because they always think that bitcoin will eventually fall just like shitcoins.
2126  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: July 25, 2022, 09:21:51 PM
Over the week, a friend and I had a conversation about loans and loan apps and she shared a bitter experience of how she was unable to write a very important exam because the money meant for payment of fees to qualify for that exam was deducted by a certain loan app that she collected money from a while ago.  Who will you really blame? My friend for not paying up as at when due or the loan app for not notifying her before the deduction.
In all, I advice that we should try to avoid any business with loan apps as they seem to be very numerous these days and are easily accessible. Most importantly, You should know that you are at the danger of developing a habit of borrowing from them if you patronise loan apps even for the smallest amount.
The problem with these online loan apps is that they keep on popping into your wall until you decide you'll start to apply. But upon application, they are asking your personal details which i think is very risky once they start taking advantage on it and using all your information for their other purposes. The fact that they are total strangers makes it more risky to think. I suggest there's no wrong on taking loans as long as you are capable enough to pay, but always make sure that you are doing it from those legit and established lending companies because their interest are not so high, aside from knowing your personal information will be not disclosed to others.
2127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: July 25, 2022, 08:56:07 PM
This is indeed a very good advice and things to consider before taking a loan for the purpose of investing in bitcoin or any other crypto currency.
To be honest, I've seen a lot of loans taken and invested in crypto that did not end well,  many have lost valuable assets they used as collateral in the process of taking a loan.
I, personally would rather not invest in a coin than to take a loan for that purpose, investing my own personal money gives me peace of mind, for I know that, even if at the end of the day, the investment didn't pay off, I have no body to come knocking on my door to pay them their money back.
On a very rare occasion will I borrow or take a loan to invest in crypto, and when I do, I must make sure it is somebody I know personally, maybe a  close relative or friend, whom, if at the end of the day, am unable to repay the loan on time due to some reasons, the persons would understand and not use that as an avenue to rip me off.
I am personally taking loans if its really necessary, but when it comes to investing, i don't think its gonna work. Although we know that there's always better future in bitcoin, but knowing when to make profits in a very unpredictable market will always be uncertain. So if you take a loan for a mere investing, i guess that will give a lot of pressures on your part especially if you have no stable source of income other than your investment.

Bitcoin is a good investment, but taking loans to create bigger opportunities to accumulate more bitcoin is something that i don't see its ideal to do.
2128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the future of Bitcoin uncertain? on: July 25, 2022, 08:31:01 PM
What could be the state of Bitcoin in the future?

This is discussed all the time but I am asking this question because my elder brother said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead. He also said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not be mined so that Bitcoin will not be able to hold its own position.

So I would like to know from you how reasonable this statement is?
Bitcoin's future will always be uncertain but it does not mean that it won't no longer have a brighter future. Its even predicted that in the year 2025 and beyond, bitcoin will have a bigger value compared today, because of the expectation that there will be more additional countries who will start to adopt bitcoin just like El Salvador. So if these will be possible in the future, there's no valid reason that bitcoin will not be mined and will be completely dead.
2129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoin seem to have a high influence over other cryptocurrencies? on: July 24, 2022, 09:59:19 PM
Over the years, I have noticed  that every time Bitcoin's price goes down other alt coins follow suite. And When the price of bitcoin increases, it’s expected that  altcoins  go up in price shortly after. Presently as bitcoin price reduced other altcoin prices was affected too. Fact is that Bitcoin has the most secured network and it was the first among others. No doubt some alt coins was made of bitcoins clone.
But being  that a product can be the first of its kind to be made (just like Bitcoin)  and other companies may decide to produce similar product;( just like alts)  but that doesn’t mean the original product price and value will always affect others. So why does Bitcoin have such a big influence on other alternative cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin is the blood in the crypto market. It’s the only coin that drives the whole crypto market and that all altcoins after bitcoin are built from the image of bitcoin. Not surprising why many of the new projects these days attempt to be as useful as bitcoin. But that is not happening right now. Instead of having a healthy competition in the market, most altcoins nowadays have been developed from greed and selfishness, the reason why they are not focused on their utility case and long term profitability. In the end, only bitcoin survives and meet the most demand in the crypto market.
2130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcoin still remains the leading cryptocurrency in the world. on: July 24, 2022, 09:38:16 PM
It is known over years and now that Bitcoin is a mysterious and some kind of digital currency that is not well known how come about and only the creators of it knows and control it and is a supernatural creature and it like is an idea or vision of the creators to control the planet after God.
Although Satoshi founded bitcoin, but he never expected that bitcoin will become mainstream and will be as controversial as by now, since he is only after for freedom from banks that something people should realize through bitcoin. Probably, the best reason why bitcoin stays as the leading crypto in the world because it’s fully decentralized, and something that the government fail to control. Aside from that, bitcoin has the most expensive value, the reason why mostly people want to own and invest in it since the expected profits will certainly be doubled or tripled.
2131  Economy / Economics / Re: You don't earn money only from others, but also when you avoid spending your own on: July 24, 2022, 08:46:00 PM
Usually people get anxious and frenetic for new sources of income, to find new jobs, so they can maximize their patrimony as soon as possible, but many of them forget you don't accumulate wealth only when receiving money or being paid by others for a work. We can also decrease our expenses and stop third-partying tasks we can do ourselves, so at the end of a monthly cycle we will have earned more money to invest and make it grow overtime.

People create so many worthless fixed expenses nowadays. It can be monthly subscriptions of services they barely use, eating out too often, purchasing superfluous clothes, accessories and items in general just for vanity towards the society. Sometimes people have all the tools they need on their hands to finish a solid building, however, since they don't know how to use them properly, it will look like they constantly need more and more tools indefinitely.
I guess that explains how man adopts to his own environment. If he sees people around living in luxury and vanity, then he’ll act the same way as if he belongs. However, not all people do that because they have their own mindset and rules to follow. They focus more on growth and progress, and it will only be achieved if he stick to being disciplined. Discipline in such a way to always appreciate what’s there and not to look for what’s missing. Instead of spending on unnecessary material things and liabilities, they focus on investing portion of their income and invest it into assets that create profits, rather than focus on liabilities and gain nothing except comfort.
2132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A little profit for $17k+ buyers on: July 23, 2022, 09:32:47 PM
If I were to guess, it's a relief pump just to balance out the over-bearishness. People have been racking up so much leveraged shorts that they needed to be taken out first.

With that said, looking at price pumps at the previous bear market, something like $30k for the short term-mid term isn't impossible. Probably a good temporary long position.
It’s more on a good pump after a long bad dumps that is happening in such a bearish market. People have stay positive all the way so I guess this kind of relief is what we deserve for. Although there is still no assurance that bitcoin won’t drop its price again, but most likely when it comes to bitcoin, its position is bound to move upward and that no one can stop it. If people are selling nowadays, they could have made less profits, but I just hope they will consider bitcoin as a long term investment.
2133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: July 23, 2022, 09:11:15 PM
This is like what the rumors(I call it rumors because it's not confirmed yet) am hearing that the government of my country wants to withdraw a certain amount of money from the bank account of each and every citizen of the country in order to settle the dept the country is owing other countries.
Upon the arrival of this rumor, many in the country have panicked and went ahead to withdraw all the money they had in their bank account to God knows where, I on the other hand have used all my fiat saving to by Bitcoin plus other promising coins and kept them in my private wallet, this is something I've learnt to do every day, week or month, depending on how I earn fiat money.

Governments and central banks through fiat have learnt to control their citizens and bring them under financial subjection and slavery, Bitcoin has come to show the way to Freedom, it's time we break free.
People should have done it long before and have never saved a lot of fiat in their bank account only to find out that they could be taken advantage of by the government and circulate the funds to create more interest. That way, they are using our own money for their own prosperity. Now, if we want to stay out of it, then put some portion of your hard earned money into bitcoin, and some of them you can keep it or also invest in other types of businesses outside the crypto market.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 22, 2022, 08:44:30 PM
No surprised with the odds for Lopez, it seems that sport bookies has totally put him in front with that huge odds. Again, this is just an early list, so it's better to look for other options.

And most likely Lopez will win in this fight, just a matter on how, knock out or stoppage perhaps? We shall see. And for sure, fans or not, we will to see Lopez after his defeat with Kambosos and see if he still has the fire inside and can make a comeback in this division.

If you'd ask me, it is a bit early to make a bet on this fight as I'm certain there will be some changes soon, usually I'd like to place mine days or few hours before the fight schedule. But yes, we will surely see how will Lopez finish Campa and see if there's some changes on his style or some improvement. I just hope that he got some two or more lessons from his recent defeat against Kambosos that will make him much stronger.

If in any case this fight will move in the opposite direction, I don't know what to say anymore about Lopez. I mean, Campa is also a decent boxer but Teo have the capabilities needed to defeat Campa.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 22, 2022, 08:13:03 PM
So far I'm hearing the Miami Heat is on the move targeting either KD or Mitchell. I hope the Heat acquires either one of them.

If the Heat would want their team better, they should sign Durant instead of Mitchell. Although Mitchell is a superstar but he does not have a championship DNA and has not proven anything yet as Jazz under his leadership has not reach the NBA finals yet.

The latest word is that Mitchell may be headed to the New York Knicks. Although I can’t imagine the Knicks landing a player like him.

The more time that passes, the more I think we might actually see KD in Brooklyn next year with Kyrie and Ben Simmons. I don’t think the Nets will trade just one without the other, so all eyes are on what the Lakers will do with Russell Westbrook.

That might be the case too, we've been talking these trade rumors even before the NBA Summer League started and until now both Durant and Irving are still on the same position. The Brooklyn Nets are taking priority to trade Durant first but there's no team yet in the league that could match what the Nets wanted in exchange for Durant which is kind of reasonable because Durant can really get a title for team if he will have a good supporting players and a co-alpha in the team.
2136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 21, 2022, 11:12:01 PM
I it not about having options only.

It is about making it fast and without problems. Preferably decentralized.

freebitco.in for example is rarely doing manual inspections and every other withdrawal request is fully automated. If you have a rock solid, hack-free casino you can do this too. Otherwise you'll have to manually check almost every withdrawal request which is going to frustrate the players and then naturally they will leave this casino.

That's right. The speed of withdrawals also matters. Due to the fact that we gamble on crypto gambling sites, we are used to withdrawals being processed in a short period of time, so any delay could be a cause for concern or an unnecessary panic, and that is definitely not a good situation to find yourself in. After all, crypto gambling sites are a business, too, so they do not want customers leaving due to certain concerns. So you want to make the withdrawals fast, right?

By the way, when a casino puts restrictions on withdrawing money from your account, that means you are at their mercy, and therefore no longer in control. You no longer have the option to use your money whenever you want and how you want it. And freedom of choice is a key factor when it comes to something as important as money.

They are just taking advantage to us and try to get control with how we choose to spend our winnings upon withdrawal, seems like they just want us to deposit and deposit without getting the benefit to choose what we wanted about it or play games after winning huge so that they can have a chance that the money will be back to them.

Nevertheless, any gambler will agree that a reputable casino won't give the users a hard time withdrawing their funds/winnings because they can also see if a deposit has been made and the user played a game to explain the big funds being requested to withdraw.

Putting more restrictions and give a hard time to the users will just a push factor to lose a client, for good.
2137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 21, 2022, 10:42:29 PM
I do not think those who are hooked up with gambling would go for such apps. They play with real money because that gives them excitement and satisfaction. Whatever the end result playing with real money takes you to another level when you earn profit.

Those who want to know how gambling works can try these apps but, they will get bored after sometimes as it will become monotonous. There is also a chance that some might try with non fake money and they might then get addicted.

Any gambler wouldn't be interested in such apps as it will be just a total waste of time if they take some time to try and play it without getting any real money, and probably it will be really boring as excitement and satisfaction factor is not there as well as the entertainment it could bring. I see these kind of apps as a demo to test some strategies and good for starters who's looking forward to have their 1st activity in a real deal but to be alternative? I guess not.
2138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 21, 2022, 10:12:56 PM

Of course, if he didn't train that hard Campa might pull upset again on Teo Lopez and he doesn't want that to happen.

If that will happen then that might be the end of his journey in the new division that he tries to be a champion. He need this fight, though it looks like a tune-up fight but he cannot be too complacent here as Campa is definitely not an easy opponent.

Lopez is definitely aware of that because a loss in this fight will determine his career as it will give it a negative hype, people will criticize him if he will lost in a supposed tune-up fight and people won't also celebrate if he wins by a decision because this is just a tune-up fight for him, what he should do is to dominate Campa throughout the fight and it will be much better if he can go for a KO.
If Lopez will be weaker, Campa will take that as an advantage to add Lopez to his record.
2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 21, 2022, 09:29:15 PM
I cannot really say that he's been out of his prime because he is still at the right age to do the same performance, it's just that he's now unable to do what he used to because NBA changed the rules because of the way he plays. For me, it was quite unfair to change it because NBA is not about all talent and sometimes it requires more IQ to outsmart the talented ones.
But yea, the rule has already changed. Harden needs to move on and do all the things he can improve because he is now on a team that could bring him his first ever championship ring that he wanted since then. Let's just give the man a chance before we conclude that he was already out of his prime.
He is one of the guards that was hit hard by the rule change regarding the fouls. Others were Trae and Steph.
He cannot do that hook style anymore for the defender to commit a foul and then other kinds of stuff which are mostly outside shots after a bump.
Yes, he had a hard time adjusting but I do believe he is not yet at the age to be out of his prime, the speed may not be the same but he had the experience to patch it up.
Doc Rivers will make him a playmaker and Maxie will be the runner if they need a fastbreak but most of their offense will surely come from Embiid and who will be best to make the assist, Harden it is.

Indeed, that's why we're not seeing Harden producing the same digits that he used to in the last 2 seasons. Trae, Steph and the others are also affected by it but there is no doubt that Harden was the most affected player among them because he already poured almost his entire career about that play and he's really good at it.
It's just that he needs to move on while he can still have a room for improvement so that he can have at least 1 ring before he retire soon, this time he have a good chance on acquiring it because he had a good team mates who is also leaning the same way.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 21, 2022, 04:42:44 PM
I knew of one case where 2 lower division clubs in Georgia were caught for match-fixing. These clubs were fined only $3k each. That's all the punishment. At the same time no one knows how much money they were able to earn through dishonest means. Therefore, such games will occur often, because the punishment is too weak.

Strange punishment. Probably this case remained at the "local" level because any sports federation would have issued a tougher punishment for the clubs that were caught on fixed games. Maybe it was some kind of scandal without direct evidence, so the clubs were fined on some formal pretext, but the underlying crime was not proven. However, it is obvious that the smaller the level of competition, the more chaos, corruption and dirty deeds.
Most cases happen in low level competition or local as you say, rigging games in that situation will be an easy job for them even if the sport is known because they have the advantage over it and they have the control and connections needed.

The people watching it will of course say that there's cheating but the organization behind it don't have to worry because it's just a local competition and the people will eventually forget it or they will keep it under wraps and bribe the complainant.
