2121  Other / Meta / Re: Not Your Keys Not your Coins Banner Needed Everywhere? on: November 12, 2022, 04:25:58 PM
Across the top between where it says Bitcoin Forum on the left and simple machines forum on the right just the Not Your Keys Not your Coins text up there.
My understanding is you are talking about a tag line of the main name.
When you are saying not your key not your coins then you are basically telling it about the forum which does not sound related at all, sounds of topic with the forum name. If we all value the phrase then as team of the community we can have our personal text dedicated for it. Imagine majority of the members have same phrase, it will defiantly create a sense for anyone.

Users who are not using there personal text for any paid advertising they can volunteer. We also can have a factoid on the forum advertising space.
2122  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN][In Merit] Post Count Down To Your Next Rank Here. on: November 12, 2022, 04:17:48 PM
Number of Merit(s) left: 123[/b]
For me it is still 101 Merits away to become a hero member, but I’m optimistic to archive this by the end of the year  Shocked
Senior Member is 84 merits away. I will try to get there by coming December.
When the title is saying count down, I am picturing counting down from 10 or even less but you all made it like counting it down from the beginning LOL
I am counting down my next imaginary rank to receive is 7768. 🤣

Seriously, it looks like you are asking favour to receive your merits.

He said I had to make an offer on a specific advertisment by an user and that I had to copy paste a name and a number given by him, that this person was his friend and he will inmediately know what to do, I did as he said.
They have a chat box. Did he ask to send those info in the chatbox.

Quote
Not even 3 minutes passed and i realized that the counterpart deposited the money to the number I gave to him, suddenly I understood that I gave a bank account of a third party in the chatbox, however i never specified that the funds had to be transfered there.

I don't understand this part. You said he deposited the money to your number/bank whatever which means you owe the crypto to him. Then why would you even need the customer support?
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 12, 2022, 03:36:56 PM
Who would have thought Brentford can take all 3 points here, they were a bit lucky that half time break basically went on for much longer with head injury to Laporte and Ref loosing communications. All that helped at easing the pressure and City just couldn't pile it high enough. Also there could have been some penalties for City in this one, few shady situations, no obvious mistakes but if it were cumulative City would have gotten 2 penalties  Grin
I have not checked superbru but I am pretty sure no one predicted City will lose the match or even to draw against Brentford. No points for anyone in the match?

Quote
Arsenal must win tonight then and it will pile even more pressure on City.
It's only the 16th round of the season. More than half a season left. But I have a feeling that this season will be very competitive and lower scoring point table. Liverpool and Chelsea seems to be in bad position in terms of points but if we have top teams losing points like City lost points then Liverpool or even Chelsea may have a chance in the top four. May be Liverpool will be at the top 🤣
2125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io 🏏 Men's T20 World Cup 2022 🏏 Discussion thread on: November 11, 2022, 06:43:45 PM
England @1.61
Good to see bookmakers are siding for England. I just wish they win the world cup. We deserve it especially after the massive performance against India. Let's repeat 2010 again. It was against Australia before and how let's take it from Pakistan. We need to bet well and take break Babar-Rizwan partnership as quick as we can.

There could be rain interruption in question but hopefully we will be able to see a full match.

The Pakistani bowlers (especially the pacers) are in top form
Indian bowling lineup was strong too but they way Buttler and Hales handled them, it was amazing to watch. I am not too much into cricket but I love watching England performing.

It's crypto it's fomo fud and dmp pmp.
That's where scammer are using crypto wrong way and giving bad name to it. If this was in traditional fiat system then all of them were been in jail. It's illegal.

Quote
If the big whales pmp btc....you stay away from btc ?
No I don't stay away but do not get in too. I am a holder. I don't care much about fiat although it excites me when it reach new ATH. Someday I hope crypto becomes mainstream and replace fiat. It's a long future we are looking at though.

Anyway, it's wrong when you are deceiving noobs and making your pocket heavy.
2127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking to to do Same like big whales doing join with me on: November 11, 2022, 01:33:49 PM
My idea: we collect money with money we buy up the coin.
Each one who invest funds for pumping will get info early when we start pmp so you can go on long position.
Once we have bought up the Market we gona dmp so our members can take short position early.
Our members will always earn sure money and they know always first.
Are you totally new in the economy or you would know there are already pump and dump groups exists on Telegram. May be millions of them. It does not profit their members but the few people who actually own the groups. They will buy a shitcoin then they will post to buy it because they found the shitcoin will pump. Members go and buy. The volume of the shitcoin obviously is low so it pumps. They sell in profit then tells the members to start selling. Coin dumps. Who got the benefit?

Quote
or u have better suggestions ?
Stay away from pump and dump.

Are you reputable enough to hold the fund?
Can you give assurance the fund is safe after collection?
There are no collateral LOL

I lost so much money in the last few months through buying stupid NFT's which are worth almost zero now, having ETH on Celsius which went bankrupt, and now losing the rest of my ETH, SOL on FTX... NEVER AGAIN! This is the day I convert my remaining crypto to Bitcoin!
Blood, haven't you learn your lesson in 2017 ICO boom? That was even worse than it's now.

2131  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: betnomi is a scam site on: November 11, 2022, 01:01:49 PM
The best thing you can do is to contact customer support and ask them why they rejected your documents. It's possible that they will give you a reason and allow you to resubmit your documents in the future.
I don't think OP is going to do that. Looking at the responses he is making without even reading the responses from others; I can take notes from it.
They know what they did as betnomi said they had multi account so knowing the abuse they are just trying to throw something in the dark with the hope they can create some sympathy from the community. They would if they were showing some strong evidence of their allegations against betnomi. But I am convinced that they don't have it since it did not happen at all.
2132  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FTX Scam : Unable to withdraw on: November 11, 2022, 12:50:49 PM
Back then ICOs, BitConnect, exchange hacks and incidents Quadriga, Cryptopia etc.... and we still step into the same riverbed over and over and expect something else.  Roll Eyes
You, me and others who saw ICO, BitConnect, exchange hacks and others; are rarely risking our coins in a centralized system. So I will say some are learning their lessons.

Problem is, in crypto it's easier for newbies to buy and keep the coins in the exchanges. They do not know which wallet to download, how to keep the key safe, even how to create a wallet. It's easier for them to create an account as it's an email account, get the address, find the credit card and buy crypto. Majority think by doing that they are in crypto. But they do not realized there are no deference putting your money in a bank and putting your coins in an exchange. In fact an exchange is worse than having your money in the bank.

We are still in the diaper as a whole in crypto economy. People are learning good use in the hard way. After few years or may be few decades we will see crypto users are more aware about managing their crypto assets, more and more users will prefer decentralized exchanges over those centralized services.

Interesting read. I had basic programming knowledge but all are old school. It was always a wonder for me to validate an email knowing it can be sent using any script until now. Anyway, now I can at least check the emails I continuously receive from Ledger and all the exchanges with offers that are almost irresistible to deny LOL

Stunna confirmed that the email was sent from their hacked SendGrid account getting hacked, so the emails would have looked real to email providers and users.
Not always active in the thread so I was unaware about the SendGrid hack too.

India's player Hardik Pandya really turned the game around as they were under a lot of pressure initially.
168 runs was unexpected for me LOL
I was thinking may be they will get 130 to 140 but eventually it's a very challenging score. English batsman needs to be careful. Losing early wicket will take away the match from them.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io 🏏 Men's T20 World Cup 2022 🏏 Discussion thread on: November 10, 2022, 09:00:06 AM
Who wants to see England in the final? Let's go back to 1992 ODI worldcup but change the history a little 😉

England won the toss and decided to field in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup against India. Statistics show that the team that wins the toss in the short version in Adelaide has never won a match. It remains to be seen whether the England can change that fate or not. Cricket's two superpowers, whose power is equal on and off the field, from the ICC table to the Adelaide Oval are like the roaming lions of India and England. The cricket world is now waiting to see the battle of two powerhouses in the T20 World Cup semi-finals.
90 for 3 after 14 overs is not a good score in T20. Kohli needs to play another good innings that he played against Pakistan in the group stage. He is well set right now.
2136  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: November 10, 2022, 08:45:36 AM
Excluding, users doesn't. Although, there should probably be a limit, since we don't want to encourage abuse, 50 is a way too much in my opinion. Something like 10-20 would probably suffice.

You must have 50 earned merits to vote
This feels too restrictive to me. I would have opted for a lower number, say 20 earned merits, but that's just me.
See this list: 2924 users received 50 Merits, 5632 users received 20 Merits. And for some of those "received" doesn't mean they "earned" it.
Exactly for this reason I would not mind to see a 50 merit requirement. It's a good number. Higher number reduce the possibility to abuse. Earning 10 to 20 merits by abusing is way easier than earning 50 merits.

Let's see how it goes this year and if changes will be required, we'll readjust for next year, as we already did now Smiley
We will always learn from the experience. When will we go live?

Did you have same problem with Playbetr too? It will be interesting if you had.

betnomi.com ask me verify my acc but they default reject my document by 0 second

betnomi.com is a scame site
You are coming against a sportsbook who are working hard to create a good value to the industry without providing any information to support your case just by telling few words. You need to have a good story with supportive documents.
2138  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FTX Scam : Unable to withdraw on: November 10, 2022, 08:29:40 AM
If FTX does not have any funds with them and FTT token is dumping to zero, can we expect another major crypto exchange scam? Why do we have to suffer always?
As long as the centralized system will exists in decentralized ecosystem, we will suffer like this. Obviously this is not the last time, there will be many more situations like this are yet to come.

Binance pulled a pretty dick move, even if it was against their biggest competitor.
Isn't it expected. Competitors will always try to keep their way clean.
Facebook bought Whatsapp, Instagram and many other raising companies because they want others not to become their big competitor.
2139  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit.com scamming $10,000 USD [Careful not to bet in their casino!] on: November 09, 2022, 07:46:03 PM
And that's where it's not clear. How would they are going to define nefarious purposes.
Well, that's the thing. Anyway they want to. It's up to them to decide if what the player does is nefarious. Accepting the terms means agreeing to all of them. And one of the points is that they can close an account for any reason they want. It's bullshit, it's wrong, but hey, gamblers decided that traditional fiat casinos weren't good enough. In that case, enjoy the "safe wild wild west" of crypto gambling. Since OP's account got locked, it's safe to assume that his use of multiple accounts was considered as nefarious.

If all looks correct then why would a user will create more than one account at all?
There aren't many valid reasons to be honest. One I can think of is if you lose access to your 1st account or you get it hacked and you can no longer gamble from it. If the associated email is gone as well, you will have no way to recover it. Maybe the support can help, but who knows? Creating a new account in this case would be a justified reason.
The arguments can be made from either side. Honestly, having a rule allowing multi account with a very unspecified term does not look good for a gambling website. It must be either you do or do not. Gambling sites are always hiding their bad practice behind their shady terms and for crypto business it's easier to abuse users because there are very lower chance to take legal actions by the customers.
