2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 16, 2022, 06:55:02 AM
I'm not surprised by Manchester United losing against Atletico Madrid on their own stadium.
Atletico Mardid is a very difficult opponent and Man United is in a great crisis(the game against Tottenham, where Christiano Ronaldo played outstanding and scored three goals was just a fluke).
I'm surprised that Ajax couldn't defeat Benfica, but those teams are pretty equal at their level and the chances were 50:50.
At this point I'm confident that Chelsea might get kicked out of the UEFA Champions League, due to the sanctions against Roman Abramovich.LOSC will definitely win,but the question is,will they score more than three goals?
2122  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Dollar:Software controlled money which expires ! Spend it or loose it! on: March 16, 2022, 06:34:14 AM
This seems more like a conspiracy theory, rather than an actual theory.
The idea of creating money that have an expiry date is very interesting. This would definitely boost spending and savings in other assets (real estate, stocks, commodities, cryptocurrencies). Storing cash money would become pointless. However,I don't think that your conspiracy theory will become a reality.
Nothing threatens the US dollar right now.I know that the global fiat financial system is a giant bubble, but this bubble won't burst soon.Maybe after several decades, but not now.
It would be interesting,if someone creates an experimental altcoin, which has an expiry date,so the pump&dump traders would have to get rid of the altcoin, before the date of expiry. Grin
2123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Avoids De Facto Ban in Europe on: March 15, 2022, 12:01:05 PM
I am happy that there are politicians and clerks in Europe, who are still capable of using their brains and disapproving such mindless regulations.Cryptocurrency mining in the EU is a pretty insignificant percentage and even if this BS regulation was imposed, the cryptocurrency prices would not have been affected.
These "minimum environmental sustainability standards" are a complete nonsense. It seems that the "green lobby" inside the European Union keeps pushing it's agenda. They have failed now,but they might try again later, with another mindless environmentalist regulation or law.
2124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bounce back to 60k in this year? on: March 15, 2022, 11:33:12 AM
60K would be way too ambitious for a price target in 2022.
I think that 45-50K would be the absolute price peak for 2022,if the war in Ukraine ends after several weeks (there is a big possibility for this to happen)and the western sanctions against Russia get cancelled(which is highly unlikely to happen,as long as Putin remains as the president of the Russian federation).
It seems that everyone has forgotten about the corona pandemic and the coronavirus is no longer a problem.
I have a good feeling about the spring, but the possibility of another price crash and a continuing bear market will always exist.

2125  Economy / Economics / Re: Coming economic problems all world how to profit on: March 15, 2022, 06:52:02 AM

Let's say you have $100,000USD and you're dealing with a currency that is rapidly losing its value versus the USD, in this case take TRY.

You're a soothsayer and know that TRY is going to hell in a hand basket, so here's one way to profit:

1. Take a loan for the equivalent of $100,000USD in TRY; use your USD as proof that you can pay the loan in a heartbeat
2. Once you have the loan, push your $100,000USD out of the country. Leaving it in the same country as TRY makes it subject to forfeiture and forced conversion that is inevitable in order to protect TRY
3. Use the loaned TRY to buy real estate (preferably in a dense urban area). You don't want to buy rural because of the taxes. You want to buy urban because of commercial real estate potential
4. As TRY continues to lose value, siphon small amounts from your USD to pay the interest of your TRY loan

over time you will profit like a king.

Yeah, right. That's a genius plan.I wonder why almost nobody is doing it and making millions. Grin
1.I don't think that exporting 100K USD outside of Turkey is legal, but I'm not sure.
2.No bank is going to give you loan, knowing that you might get out with the money into a foreign country.
3.The banks usually want collaterals that are bigger than the amount you want to borrow.120%-130%
4.There are some fees, when applying for a loan. You would also need to provide a business plan for the loan.
5.At some point, the Turkish central bank will raise the interest rates. All the banks in Turkey will also raise the interest rates.Good luck with paying off a loan, that has a big interest rate.
6.I don't get it.You want to convert the Turkish lira into USD before you export the money outside Turkey or after you export the money? Grin
2126  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 StarBets.io 🎲 || A Crypto-based iGaming Platform 🎲 on: March 15, 2022, 06:26:53 AM
It seems that more and more crypto casinos are going to copy the Betfury.io business model with token dividends, token mining and token distribution. There's nothing wrong with that.More "passive income" for the diehard gamblers. Grin
The website looks nice and functional.
The webpages are loading fast.I've had bad experience with Betfury in the past, their webpages were loading really slow and my browser crashed several times.I'm glad that I don't have the same problem with your casino.
Do you have a gambling license?I don't see any info about a gambling license mentioned anywhere in the front page.It would be great,if you get one.
Good luck with this project,OP.

2127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Wont Sell his Bitcoin on: March 15, 2022, 06:01:39 AM
Putting dogecoin in the same category as BTC and ethereum is a joke.
Dogecoin is pretty much similar to fiat money and it should be compared to fiat money.
Hoarding dogecoins won't save anyone from inflation.I don't believe that even Bitcoin and Ethereum can save our wealth from inflation.
His advise about having real estate property and stocks of good companies in times of high inflation is just common sense.I'm like duh captain Obvious.Everyone with an IQ above 80 knows that you don't hoard paper cash in times of high inflation. Grin
I guess that Elon Musk is just trolling again.
2128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Does This Always happen? on: March 14, 2022, 12:01:31 PM
This happened to me several times after 2017.I got lucky for HODLing and selling my BTC at the peak of the December 2017 ATH.The years after 2017 were more like panic selling(several times)and/or selling BTC every time I needed cash(but the BTC price started pumping right after I sold some Bitcoins  Grin).
I simply stopped caring about the price.I just HODL and sell my coins, only if I am in urgent need of cash.
You have to ask yourself about what is your main motivation of selling? Is it fear of an upcoming price crash?
Do you think that the price was at the peak of a price bubble?
Many traders are like me and you.We just fail at timing the market. Grin

2129  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think the effects of soaring prices and fiat depreciation is on BTC? on: March 14, 2022, 11:37:57 AM
The current oil shortage is artificially created by the western sanctions imposed over Russian.
There might be a short term oil shortage in the western world(despite the fact that the western countries have some oil reserves). This will pump the oil prices in the western world. On the other hand,Russian oil price are dropping, because Russia cannot sell it's oil to the west and China cannot fully replace the western oil buyers. The war will end some day and Russia has to sell the oil to the west.
Long story short,I don't expect the oil prices to hit 200 USD.
All the "Bitcoin price will go up,because money printers go brrr..." mantras sound really compelling, but this simply isn't happening in the recent weeks.Perhaps the BTC traders are too scared of the war in Ukraine and all that BS about World War 3/nuclear war and a new great depression. The fear will continue to dominate the BTC market,so no fiat money printers can pump the BTC price right now.
2130  Economy / Economics / Re: Anonymous hacker's group fight against Russia on: March 14, 2022, 06:16:53 AM
OP,your forum thread is all over the place.
You are asking a question(is this even a question)about the Anonymous hacker group and their cyber war against Russia, but you mention all the damage western sanctions have done to Russia and also the story about a Russian soldier surrendering to the Ukrainians. What exactly are you trying to ask?
When will the war end?I don't know, but there are signals about some progress of the peace negotiations.
The western sanctions cannot stop Putin, only the Russian people can stop Putin.
The Anonymous hackers can cause some small damage to the Russian financial infrastructure, but this cannot stop Putin, because he has plans to isolate Russia's internet from the global internet.
2131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in METAVERSE on: March 14, 2022, 05:50:14 AM
I've said that before and I will say it again.
Virtual reality cannot replace actual reality.
First we might get Metaverse gaming and gambling. What's next?Metaverse hookers,so all the incels could experience something close to having an actual girlfriend and getting laid?
I don't understand the people, who are saying that metaverse gambling sounds cool and get excited about it.
What's the point of sitting in casino, which is located in a virtual reality? You are still sitting in front of your computer(or perhaps using VR glasses,or whatever you call this tool).
It seems to me that this Metaverse thing sounds like the new favorite toy of some dysfunctional, antisocial, virgin, incel nerd, who lives in his parent's basement and dreams about having a real life.
2132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remind yourself that 50% of all purchases in the United States are under $25. on: March 14, 2022, 05:29:01 AM

We should always be reminded that though Bitcoin is more popular as an investment or a safe haven against inflation, it should also be utilized just like everyday fiat money and this is where consumer spending should be coming and if people can be paying things like a simple cup of coffee or a bar of chocolate using Bitcoin then it would be helping a lot in making sure that Bitcoin can be an important daily tool we can use. Now, having said that, I must admit that if one is really thinking that soon BTC can go as high as $100K then using Bitcoin to buy some gasoline in a nearby gas station can feel like a little sacrifice...you guys feel the same thing too?

1.Bitcoin is failing as a "safe heaven against inflation" right now.BTC isn't a safe heaven and BTC doesn't provide any protection against inflation.Prove me wrong.

2.You are definitely right above the expectations of a 100K BTC price and buying gasoline.Price volatility is what prevents mass BTC adoption in the retail sector. On the other hand, price volatility is what makes Bitcoin so attractive to the speculative investors and traders.I guess that we can't both eat the cake and have it. Grin
Bitcoin should be either an investment asset or an actual currency, but it can't be both, which is sad.
2133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 13, 2022, 12:07:34 PM
Quote
Putting these activities down in a journal does it helps a trader to make a better decision?

A trading journal can't always help a trader to make better decisions, but it can actually stop the trader from making bad decisions.Making less bad decisions and less mistakes, rather than focusing on perfection(good decisions) is definitely a form of self-improvement.Nobody is perfect.
I've heard stories about Harvard students being required to maintain a journal.
Maintaining a journal can help you become more disciplined and discipline is a really important skill, when it comes to trading.Actually,it's not just trading.Having discipline and consistency is the key of success in every aspect of life.
2134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin VS Oil VS Russia VS Ukraine on: March 13, 2022, 11:23:41 AM
The current event taking place in Ukraine have lead to scarcity of oil and inflation o commodities that needed oil...

But how does this events affects the price of bitcoin and crypto currencies in general since now Ukraine and people in Russia use crypto?

Are the government going to also sanction exchanges and wallet owners?

Please I need you guys views on this

The war in Ukraine creates panic and uncertainty and this panic can spread across multiple markets.
The traders/investors on the crypto market are people, they could be influenced by panic and fear.
There's no mass adoption of crypto in Russia and Ukraine,it's just the fact that both countries imposed more liberal regulations over crypto. This doesn't mean that suddenly millions of people in Russia and Ukraine started using cryptocurrencies.
There's no actual scarcity of oil in the western world right now. Most of the western countries have oil reserves, which could last for 90 days. The real oil shortage in the west might begin during the summer,if the war in Ukraine(and the western sanctions) continues for more than 90 days.
2135  Economy / Economics / Re: Natural Gas, Electricity, Oil / Gas & Inflation- Nightmare Scenario on: March 13, 2022, 07:09:56 AM
I'm glad I don't heat my house with natural gas.
Electricity prices for the households in my country are regulated by the government,so there wasn't any significant increase during the winter.I don't expect any increase anytime soon.
The food price inflation and gasoline/diesel prices going up are the biggest problems where I live. The inflation is going to be nasty. Most of the inflation is actually the merchants spreading panic about having a shortage of food and gasoline and creating price cartels.
Unfortunately the Bitcoin price isn't pumping,in order to help us with this situation. Angry
Let's hope that the war in Ukraine ends after a month or two and the global economy starts getting back to normal. However,I don't expect the inflation to slow down until the end of 2022.

2136  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Winoearn.com] Provably fair Games/ Daily lottery/ Dice/ Free Hourly Tickets on: March 13, 2022, 06:50:58 AM
No way to check how your game works and how it looks like without an account? I dont think it is a good start, it is like you are forcing us to create an account just to check the game for the first time. Most people need to check how the game works first before deciding to create an account then play. So you should consider to make it available to be seen/checked freely and easily.

I don't think that there would be a problem creating an account with a temporary email address(unless OP decides to block temporary email addresses).
Nobody wants to submit his real email address, when creating an account, just for the sake of seeing how this crypto casino works.
I'm highly suspicious about this "probably fair" lottery game.I usually don't trust online lottery games.
I kinda like that promotion system of this website.Asking users to share the website on social media and join the Telegram group in exchange of free tickets is kinda clever.
However, most of the legit crypto casinos use paid promotion, which kinda proves that they are taking their business seriously.
Good luck with this project,OP.
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Odd Job Would Have Put Thousands of Dollars in BTC in My Wallet on: March 13, 2022, 06:22:54 AM
I wonder how effective these "fake news articles" would be at pumping the price of some shitcoin or NFT project.
How many 'investors' would say "I read this article about this altcoin or that NFT project,so I'm definitely gonna buy."?Reading some article simply isn't enough to convince someone to buy shitcoins and NFTs.
Perhaps the quantity of the articles about a certain crypto project is more important than the quality.
The people would be more comfortable buying, when they see 100 articles about a certain crypto project.
I guess that this is the secondary way to create fake hype around a shitcoin. The first way is to use paid social media influencers to pump the project.
2138  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for trusted agents for escrow and arbitration on: March 11, 2022, 12:23:44 PM
There are platforms like Bitrated, which try to provide such service(2-3 multisig wallets and human arbitration).
I have never tried this platform, but I know that they exist for several years.AFAIK,Bitrated was launched back in 2013.I cannot vouch for them.Finding a really legit and trusted escrow can be really difficult.
The human factor cannot be avoided and nobody can guarantee the legitimacy of the escrows/arbiters.
Crowfunding campaigns can be really messy, especially if the team behind the campaign can't provide a finished product.
2139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An interesting project about lightning in the browser on: March 11, 2022, 06:17:11 AM
I have always said.... "Make the Lightning Network more user-friendly ....and they will come" ....so incorporating this into a browser without having to run your own Lightning Network node... is a giant step towards that goal.

I could care less if large Exchanges will be getting onboard with this, because they are already making loads of money and they are destroying Bitcoin's pseudo anonymity.

Thank you OP for posting this.... hope to see a lot more innovation like this.  Wink

Who will come?The merchants?The Bitcoiners?
I'm a little bit skeptical about this. The Lightning Network can (and will) become more user-friendly for sure, but  the BTC users would want a good incentive to join such LN projects.Convenience simply isn't enough. Most of the crypto exhcanges and crypto wallets are already very convenient and user-friendly.Many LN supporters would say that faster and cheaper transactions are the main benefits of LN,but right now,the transactions on the Bitcoin Core blockchain are pretty affordable.I guess that BTC micro-payments would become the main niche for such LN projects, but I don't know where such micro-payments could be implemented.Probably the gaming industry or the gambling industry.Who knows...
2140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Highest in history on: March 10, 2022, 12:26:32 PM
Did bitcoin just become a history in 2021 ago where the price of bitcoin was able to get the most expensive price of $60k and was dubbed the most expensive price in bitcoin history.
And Could there be more history in this year or the price of bitcoin will end up below $60k.
And ETF may return to support bitcoin as it did in 2021 which gives mainstream investors exposure to bitcoin that will be the starting point for the crypto industry and drive greater acceptance of the digital asset on Wall Street.

I guess that you(just like 99% of the Bitcoiners) are obsessed with the Bitcoin price, not with the current condition of the Bitcoin Core blockchain nor the adoption of Bitcoin as a payment method across the globe.
Is it really that important for Bitcoin to hit another ATH in 2021?Would it even matter,if the Bitcoin price gets pumped via some price bubble/FOMO phase/artificial ETF hype to 60-70K USD for a week, and then crash back to 30-40K USD?Some traders will make big profits, many naive buyers will buy BTC right before the bubble pops.Long story short, lots of money will change their owners, but nothing else will happen for Bitcoin and the blockchain.Do we really need this?
The Bitcoin price makes history, but Bitcoin will not become history,if you know what I mean. Grin
