2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 29, 2021, 01:28:28 PM
What about if Russell win over magsayo it will popular too, i think their is manipulation in boxing game the person you have hope that will win and in normal is suppose win the game will just lose it because bet and plenty people have betted on him as a winner and after manipulating it they share money with the winner, i know it will not happen like that in this boxing, let watch and see who will defeat each other by my credit goes to magsayo
Nope, if Russell win it doesn't change anything since he's only defending his belt... not snatch the new belt.

Well your assumption are too much about this fight, for me there's no manipulation if we talking about real/professional boxer when the boxer got cut, bloody, serious injury etc. It's different with exhibition fight when the boxer mostly hugging each other, running until the time out, not serious, and no one's injured. And exhibition fight usually offer a lot money rather than the professional fight (except the boxer is very popular).

Right, he is already popular in the US already, but the thing is that he seldom fight and so obviously his resume is not that good. And I believed that if he fights the other champion in the division as opposed to just hibernating and coming out to fight as he pleases, his could could be in the discussions for pound for pound and could really be earning a lot of money by now. However, since his lost to Loma, he seems to be slowing down and doesn't want to accept bigger names and big challenges in the division.

There's only one way to find out if he was able to maintain himself despite being inactive for a while, and we will see it as soon as he will fight Magsayo who is a pretty much active boxer and is hungry to become a champion, I know what most of us are rooting here so we have some few positive words for Rusell.
2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: December 28, 2021, 11:40:35 PM
snip

it is Usyk stands as the only worthy contender to face Fury. Unfortunately for him, if they ever meet in the ring I think Fury will either punish him all the way to 12 rounds and win on points or he will simply knock him out within 2-3 rounds.
It is because of this I think that in the case Usyk beats Joshua, which is the most likely scenario, Usyk will not go for the fight against Fury immediately, he needs more experience and to refine his technique even more if he wants to beat Fury, the difference in their size is significant and Fury will use it to his full advantage, now even if Usyk took that time there is no guarantee he will beat Fury, but at least I think his chances will improve slightly, so there is a chance that is the path he will follow.
The most popular boxers in his division now are Joshua and Fury only (counting out Wilder), if he gets a rematch with Joshua, then that is good for him as he would still make big money, but if not, he should not waste the opportunity and take on the best fighter in heavyweight division.
2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 28, 2021, 10:56:02 PM

Playing in the MPBL won't happen for the two retired PBA players as they have business interest with the Magnolia franchise while MPBL is currently owned/run by Chooks-to-go, a business that involves chicken so there is a conflict of interest in that aspect.

What kind of business interest is that if you don't mind sharing, please educate me with their business status as I have not been following all the updates especially on business matters. They were previously reported to play with MPBL, and now it's off?

I just read that article weeks ago from my favorite columnist mate and IMO, what he has written has truth in it as Pingris and Simon suddenly canceled their plan on joining the MPBL league. Just know from the article that Pingris has a poultry business as a grower with Magnolia and that prevents him from playing in MPBL.

Please see attached article below.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/why-pingris-and-simon-comeback-in-mpbl-is-unlikely-to-happen-a2244-20211203?ref=feed_1_section

That's probably what we called respect to the one who feeds you. Very nice of them but with that, they cannot play a major league in the Philippines as no other league that is bigger than the MPBL, of course, MPBL is next to PBA and they are a pro league now. So Chooks to go owned the league? I was thinking it was Manny Pacquioa.
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 28, 2021, 10:32:48 PM
and try to be beaten by a non boxer? Im not belittling on him but i cant really just avoid on doing so. haha

People think that because Logan Paul is young he can beat the old Mike Tyson, well, they are wrong because even if Mike is already 55 years old, he still has the skills and is still capable to fight, in the first place, he wouldn't take this fight if he is not fit and ready at all. For sure, this will be an interesting fight in which the one keeps attacking while the other one keeps defending.
2125  Economy / Economics / Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor on: December 28, 2021, 12:27:19 PM
For me, I do not think that borrowing is a good idea to get rich, on the contrary I know people who borrowed a lot of money and then became indebted and some of them cannot pay the debt, of course there are some people who have succeeded in making profitable investments through borrowing, but this is not always the case, it is not possible To give this as an investment advice or a rule of investment, personally I prefer to start with a small capital and grow little by little without the need to borrow, pay off loans and pay interest and fines as a result of delaying the payment of debt.

That certainly depends on how you handle the money or the proceeds of your loan, I know people who borrowed money to fund their business and they were successful in the long run. Maybe it's not for everyone as borrowing money is a high risk, and one could lose in the process as well.
2126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 26, 2021, 10:18:06 PM
Butler is back and they are turning the Heat up in the third quarter against Magic.

Wow, that was amazing, last time I checked the Heat are down by double-digit, I thought this is one of the many upsets we will see this year but it looks like the Heat are ready to win and they will not give the Magic a chance now to come back, it's their game.
2127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 26, 2021, 10:00:57 PM
it is true that if Magsayo beat Russell this would be his best accomplishment above the ring so far, but I think there are good chances it could happen as I do not think Russell will be at his best.

I like your positivity towards Mark Magsayo even against all odds and on paper to the majority of analysts, he doesn't have any advantages to match with the Favorite Gary Russell. I'm thinking too that since the fight against Russell will be Magsayo's biggest fight so far, he will aggressively push to achieve the win.

Snatching the WBC Featherweight title from Russell will make his name hyped at the Featherweight Division. It will also open for a chance to get a much bigger fight contract in the future.

At the same time, he will make the Filipinos proud of his achievement and will be another Filipino world champion. There's a lot of stake in this fight, Magsayo's dream will be achieved if he wins this fight and I'm believing he can make it despite being an underdog. He just has to focus on this fight and win it, afterwards, the money will come and he'll enjoy being a champion.
2128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: December 23, 2021, 11:28:11 PM
Still, it's good to follow that principle, maybe, for now, bitcoin is the most dominant but we don't know what would happen in the future.

And also, diversifying does not only minimize losses when the market is bearish but it also increases the chance to be more profitable if the market is bullish, I mean look at the bright side, when the altcoins season comes, some altcoins are way more profitable to invest than with bitcoin, so you'll end up getting more profits not putting your eggs in one basket.
2129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 23, 2021, 10:43:20 PM
Despite my admiration for some members, I have never followed anyone's hunches, I like to place my own bets without influence from others, just with my own analysis.

Agree, you don't have to follow them, just take their speculations as your reference as it is your money that you gamble but in the end, you can admire those speculators for sharing their ideas/speculations of the game and you can't notice that you already followed them.

@bbc.reporter, thanks for the mention, I never thought that someone in this forum would notice what I have speculated in boxing or in the NBA, the games which I love the most.

Following them without making an effort is a bad idea, it will not make you grow and improve as a sports bettor, it's called blindly following where your journey might stop whenever they stopped. For me, it doesn't help at all as sometimes if the person that you followed lose their pick, you might also end up blaming him for your loss.

https://www.nba.com/news/nets-at-blazers-game-postponed-by-nba
Luka Doncic. As soon as he was cleared to play after an injury, now he is suffering from health and safety protocol. This kid had missed a lot of games already and his road for winning the MVP race is slimming down. Another 10 days so how many games will that be.
Giannis also hit by the virus and 2 more games was postponed. Is this a sign to go back in the bubble or will they just keep on postponing games until they were all cleared?
It's a good start but everything is falling apart this mid season and we might even see a bad All Star game if this continues.

It's definately falling apart.  I'm not a fan of the bubble, I got disinterested in basketball without fans.  It seems like practice without anyone in the stands.  Not that there is a perfect answer but I say they roll with the season as is and just manage.  The league will get watered down but it's way better than trying to watch bubble ball.

In the end, vaccines are not effective at all, and Irving has a point not getting himself vaccinated as the virus can still spread even if a person already gets vaccinated. I think as long as the body can endure the effect of the virus, a person is safe enough and just have to undergo the safety protocol in order not to infect people around him.

So what's the point? I think they should allow Irving to play even not vaccinated.
2131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 23, 2021, 11:52:45 AM
Unfortunately, it is what it is, and yes, no need to change the venue of the fight. The promoters have invested their money already here. And they are not going to just move the venue somewhere else because it will involved another set of money that they can't recoup.

I'm not really sure who set up this fight and why in Japan, I reckon the deal was brokered by Murata's manager that's why it will be held in their country. Nonetheless, it's a good choice because Japanese loves their boxers as they think of them as national hero's too. But as you have said, their government has really to do this measures not to allow any sporting events in their country to prevent the spread of the new Covid-19 variant so the fight should wait a bit.

I was also surprised to hear that the venue will be held in Japan, so yes, most probably Murata and his manager has something to do with it.

And remember that Japanese are willing to shell out huge money if ever an event like boxing is going to be held there. Remember the Floyd exhibition match in Japan like 2 years ago and in the same time frame? That exhibition match alone proved that millions can flow in just one boxing match with good names involved, in this case GGG vs their very own.

What's wrong with the venue? I think Japan is a good venue for boxing as well, big fights should not only take place in US but also in Asia or in UAE because it's a world title fight and Murata is also a champion in their country, in fact they acknowledge them as their hero.
2132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 23, 2021, 10:24:12 AM
Cleveland will have a game today, playing against the Boston Celtics on the road, what do you think is the right bet here?

I'm thinking of Cleveland handicap of +6.5 because they are too good at covering the spread.
Does it fit your analysis guys?
I'm also leaning on the plus points at first but after checking the injury report i've changed my pick to Celtics. The Cavaliers are missing one too many players and I think they'd easily lose by double digits.

Not a good bet mate, Cleveland loses by 10 points and that means our bet loses as well. Til next time, I'm not done with the Cleveland Cavaliers, I'm sure they will bounce back if not win the game at least they'll cover as they'll still be the underdog next game and that is against the Raptors.
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 23, 2021, 09:44:11 AM
Milwaukee Bucks still managed to win in the absence of Giannis. Their opponent, Rockets, was at the last place of its conference though but still it was a nice win by 126-106. J. Holiday continued to take responsibility in this game also and made a nice double-double having 24 pts and 10 reb. This time, Middleton also helped him having 23 pts. They are at the 3rd place in their conference now.
I'm not surprised with that, they played against the Rockets who are not a good team, or I should say at the bottom of the standing while the Bucks are in a playoff standing. Bucks are a team that does not only rely on Giannis, they have improved already that's why they were successful, if you see their series against the Hawks, they missed Giannis in few games but they still manage to win.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 23, 2021, 06:54:39 AM
For Tysons side then it would be part of its Pride on not to lose on a non boxer despite of being old then he couldnt really take such scenario but if there would be some
sort of contract or script then it wont be surprised with those probabilities.

That's a valid explanation, actually, we have our own speculation, whether there will be a script or not, we should believe that we think in this fight as that would tell us where to put our bet. I'm also sure that you guys who are interested in this fight are also betting on this fight, right? so we have to make a decision that would help us to win.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 23, 2021, 06:14:21 AM

A great chance for him however as even for a 10-day contract, there's a designated salary for it.

I'm not sure we will see a good impact from him, AFAIB, Joe Johnson is no longer the same when he was still with the Atlanta Hawks, lots of young players already who can play better and deserved to be given a chance, of course we will never forget him, he will always be of the greatest NBA Player back when he was still with the Hawks, but it's time for retirement now, if he still play, then maybe we should not expect much from him.
2136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think crypto is going to replace the dollar? Jack: Yes, Bitcoin will on: December 22, 2021, 11:28:30 PM
They might agree but it doesn't mean crypto will replace dollar.

I don't it will happen even in my dream. Dollar is very huge and the government can do something to ban bitcoin, like China did.
We should only be happy with bitcoin's achievement now, of course, the growth will not stop from here but it's better to stay realistic.

2138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No free money or crytocurrency on: December 22, 2021, 12:41:26 PM
Free money only comes to people who are not working and risking, here in crypto, it's not happening because we need to have knowledge and to risk our money in order to gain, maybe some earn crypto through bounties or whatever their work online but it's not free, they work for it and they wouldn't get paid for the job if they don't do it right.

Crypto gives an opportunity to earn or to make money but it does not come for free, that's the reality.

In NBA betting thread, we have a lot of posters that shared their picks, and I'm always happy to check their post as sometimes I don't need to analyze but just blindly follow their picks. lol. . yes, stadus started that thread, he was actively sharing his pick but when there are also lots of members who are sharing their winning picks.

I think we have @danherbias07, @Harkorede, @wheelz1200, @Baofeng, @ralle14, and @morvillz7z.

Sorry for the names that I forgot to mentioned.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 22, 2021, 11:45:11 AM
@tygeade, Coach Pop is a great coach, he can change from a slow pace to fast pace, this is a new San Antonio Spurs, different from what we saw before during Duncan, Parker, and Manu. Coach Pop change the pace because he does not have an all-star players anymore and as what we are seeing now, they are quite successful although they are not in the top, I mean, we are not expecting too much from this roster but they are at least winning some games.

And he has a young roster too, that's why he has to change the way this guys play. He can't used the slow pace anymore as their roster wanted to run and they are very successful in doing it I must say.

Although they are still not yet in the playoff contentions, but still a big improvement this year. And maybe in the next 2-3 years, this team will blossom into a contender.

They might but I'm not sure if Coach Pop can still work for 2-3 years from now. He is a great coach but he is not getting any younger, in fact, he should be retiring at his age now because he is already 72 years old, he should be enjoying life outside basketball.
