2121  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My Coinbase account closed, Help please! on: January 22, 2017, 08:10:16 AM
You're not the only one having this issue. Coinbase is known for closing accounts when their clients send funds to some service that isn't legitimate in their jurisdiction.

You need to view their terms of service: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/user_agreement?locale=en.

If you didn't do anything against it, I would suggest you to explain to them.

Coinbase is stupid. Why are they dealing with BTC if they mean to limit the places where you spend them on? Their business would be better if they dealt with USD or EUR. Why dont they run a regular ewallet like Neteller. Thats what all Coinbase really is. I also heard the owner is one of the stupidest people in Bitcoin.
2122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Trolling on: January 22, 2017, 08:08:25 AM
Trolling ONLY works if you go along with it. Otherwise it can be your edge.  Wink

Maybe hes pretending to only be trolling but really is losing in trade after trade he made. Why troll and what would be the reason if not to express your anger and ridicule other posters here? He must have lost a lot in trading.
2123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in China on: January 22, 2017, 08:03:28 AM
How many times have we heard this news before? Many times. Have China banned it? No. Why? Because they know they dont have a chance to do so and cant risk looking like stupid people. Think of a scenario that they actually did the ban. Then BTC in China is still business as usual. How would that make them look.
2124  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Passive Strategy To Earn Bitcoin on: January 21, 2017, 10:27:43 AM
If it's a help system it won't work for all. To make one person have profit, this one need hundreds of referrals, this way, those 100 referrals won't be able to find referrals for themselves... In this industry of referral comissions only few people can have profit while anothers will only make their little profit by doing the tasks by themselves, without third comissions.
This is true this system wont really work for everybody since there are people who are not good on inviting people and this is just a simple multilevel marketing and as you said it would really benefited the people who are in the top but to those people who are in the bottom are already late on making money because money will depend on the people would go in.

If this is something like multi level marketing then this is far from being a passive way to earn BTC. In MLM you have to recruit people and then depend on your recruits to do well in recruiting others. The idea of a passive investment is to give someone your money and do nothing. Thats passive. The best passive investment I can think of for BTC is lending your money to gambling sites.
2125  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is cloud mining still a good invesstments in 2k17 ? on: January 21, 2017, 10:20:47 AM
I don't know if cloud mining is the right word but
i mean when you buy Mhash and the site mine for you without
the use of your computer...
A friend of mine told me about cloud mining in 2k14 and he said he made
his investment every 75 days
(like if you invest 300 dollars you get 300 dollars each 2.5 month)
so is it still a good investment today ?
what atr the best sites if so ?
thnx
[/b][/size]

The best answer is a simple NO. Whatever you do dont invest in any cloud mining operation. Most of them are ponzi schemes and if you ever find an honest one it will surely lose money. Think about it this way, how can a cloud mining business compete with todays industrial BTC miners from China some of who create their own Asics?
2126  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: EVER USED VIRWOX on: January 21, 2017, 10:12:21 AM
I have use there service,to me it is not bad,but if you dont have confidence in them you can use paxful localbitcoin with traders with high rating

Good advice. Localbitcoin.com will always be the goto back up exchange in case someone gets a hard time converting from fiat to BTC. The fact that Tampabaybucs is asking about Virwox is telling that he hasnt tried Localbitcoin yet and maybe so do some of the other people here.
2127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network Alpha Release is Ready for Testing on: January 21, 2017, 10:07:01 AM
Its hard to get excited about LN if Segwit cant reach 95%. As far as I know LN needs Segwit to be activated in order for LN to be implemented. Looking at blockchain.info the softfork to get Segwit going is stuck at 25%. Why not implement  a 2mb hardfork and make everyone happy?
2128  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Whats the best bitcoin news site? on: January 21, 2017, 09:53:10 AM
I usually follow https://news.bitcoin.com/ this site. I this is the best Bitcoin news site. I think most of the bitcoin lover follows this site. It's a popular bitcoin news site. So, I think who loves bitcoin and wants to know all kinds of update information about Bitcoin he or she should follow this site.

Isnt that Roger Ver's website? With his stance on how to scale BTC maybe that site's views could be baised towards a hard fork to bigger blocks. Its important for a news website to be as neutral as it possibly can.
2129  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Whats the best bitcoin news site? on: January 20, 2017, 06:28:07 AM
Among that list in the poll, I hate Cointelegraph the most. Sometimes they are trying to shift the community's thinking and trying to impose their views by interjecting their opinions in the news their journalists write. Thats a very irresponsible kind of journalism. For what purpose they do that, I dont exactly know.
2130  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Arbitrage on: January 20, 2017, 06:16:11 AM
May I ask if your operation is profitable for your customers? I personally have seen a lot of comments here that says cloudmining operations are not profitable and most of them have become ponzi scams even if it is not the intent by the people who own them. In order to protect myself, and I encourage that others to too, please show us how profitable you really are backed by hard facts and numbers.

Columbia Basin Mining is not a cloud mining operation. In a cloud mining operation, you purchase hashing power and pay the expenses of the operator, which is why the one purchasing hashing power may have a hard time making a profit.  Also with cloud mining, your profitability decreases as the difficulties increase.  In our crowdfunding campaign, you are pre-paying for a set amount of Bitcoin and so you know exactly what you are getting for the price, there are no expenses or difficulties to worry about.

Is this a hedge? The timing of your product offering and what looks like a coming slow fall in BTC's price makes me think that you are predicting BTC might go down more. So if we pay you at today's prices and BTC goes down to lets say $500 then it would have been better for us to open a short position ourselves. I also want to know how are you going to assure your customers that you are really going to mine the prebought BTC?

These guys are making miners as big as a fucking truck. As a matter of fact, they are trucks. If that don't convince you that they are for real, what will?

Do you know how many people got scammed here in this forum? A LOT. So dont talk as if Im paranoid or something. I have the right to ask anything I want in a public forum. How do we know that ColumbiaBasinMining is not scamming us because he could very may well be. Its good to advice everyone to be careful and its also expected that shills start cheering the scammers on. Thats an overused tactic here at BCT.
2131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you burn your bitcoins IF something goes wrong? on: January 20, 2017, 06:11:59 AM
As I read all your posts I have noticed that everyone doesnt want to give up their coins. It shows the strength of the currency and how it has perceived first as a fad to a ticket out of poverty by the people from third world countries.
2132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you burn your bitcoins IF something goes wrong? on: January 19, 2017, 07:50:33 AM
If any of you are willing to burn all your BTC you are welcome to send them all in the BTC address posted in my profile. I myself will not burn mine because why would I? I paid and worked hard for these and every coin I have will be mine until the day I die.
2133  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info – Spending Bug foudn on: January 19, 2017, 07:45:49 AM
Thanks for finding and reporting the bug for all the community to see. Im sure blockchain.info will look into it and fix it as soon as possible. That said theres really nothing to worry about. It wasnt a major bug that can make you double spend are make unlimited withdrawals. But its still good to report it nevertheless.
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform|On Coindesk & Bitcoinmagazine on: January 19, 2017, 07:37:48 AM
I like the idea of expanding the scripting language of Bitcoin Core rather than making up your own scripting or programming language like what Ethereum did. Solidity has a few kinks according to some developers here. Regardless, I just want to say good luck and may you have all the success you deserve with your new platform.

2136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest way to convert money into BTC? on: January 19, 2017, 07:10:30 AM
Currently, the easiest way to convert money into bitcoins is through Localbitcoins.
You can use Coinbase also but it will take some of your personal Info.

In our country there is an app that uses to deposit money into your wallet. And via that wallet it can instantly convert it to bitcoin. It can be deposited tru a atm machine Iike in a convenience store . It is just loading like a e-money.

Thats cool. What country are you from and whats the app called? That might be something developers from other countries can copy from and make fiat to BTC conversions easier.

How is the price of BTC in your app? Sometimes they sell BTC at premium prices making you pay a lot more than the real market price.
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest way to convert money into BTC? on: January 18, 2017, 07:32:48 AM
Actually people from third world country don't have opportunity to buy bitcoin easily from any of the bitcoin trading platform like coinbase. Coinbase still don't support many developing countries also in localbitcoins usually deals for this countries are really expensive to buy from using local bank transfer.

However in european countries and china anyone can buy bitcoin or sell it quickly for profit or just buy and hold for long term with peace in mind. This have created a sense of "bitcoin is actually only made for developed countries, Tier-1 countries".  Angry

Locabitcoins is still the easiest way to convert cash into BTC no matter what you say about how more expensive BTC over there is. The premium you pay is the price of more convenience and ease. It still beats the fees for doing a wire transfer to Bitstamp.

2139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin be discussed in Davos? on: January 18, 2017, 07:09:24 AM
Thats true. This is something like a magic pony show for the people made by the ones who caused the crisis themselves. The one suggesting that BTC should be discussed is very naive. He is either a 40 year old man with a mind of a 14 year old or is actually 14 years old. Lets all wake up and find out what BTC is really good for.
2140  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: January 18, 2017, 07:03:55 AM
Very easy.

Merchants want one simple basic thing : sell
Provide them a device that integrate bitcoin acceptance, basic and simple to use, no hassle and instant conversion to Fiat deposited the next day and you will see them adopt Bitcoin as fast as VISA/Mastercard.

You are so naive and simple. If it were as easy as that it would have happened already. Cant you just accept that no merchant wants to accept BTC except for a very minute minority? I dont know where you are from or what your level of education is but your answer tells a whole lot about you.
