21261  Other / Off-topic / Re: The maximum bitcoin you have in total till now on: January 17, 2016, 06:35:48 AM
I am still going for that 1 btc without spending my bitcoin for my expenses. Still have some budget so I think I will be seeing that 1BTC in my wallet in the near future. ^_^
yeah you should be able to resist the temptation to spend your bitcoin, that's the way we can quickly get 1 BTC, and do not gamble lol Tongue

I have to admit it was hard during the dump over the past few days to not spend my Bitcoin and keep holding my Bitcoin, but I guess it does help when you don't look at the price for a day or two.

It is far easier to make more Bitcoin by simply holding and not doing anything with it, and only spend it when absolutely necessary, if that is ever a requirement for you.

you should always make up your mind and plan ahead. if you want to hold for long time then you should never even think about selling when a little price bump happens. and if you want to do day-trading then again you should put aside an amount and not touch the rest of your stash, and trade with that amount.
21262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin dead" is conspiracy theory on: January 17, 2016, 06:32:20 AM
bitcoin is like a cat but with a thousand lives. it dies every now and then and comes back to life. or maybe it is just playing possum Smiley
21263  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where are you playing RIGHT NOW & How much your deposit was ? on: January 16, 2016, 12:31:08 PM
nowadays i am only playing dice at primedice.com but i am looking for new projects to try out too. and i have never deposited anything in primedice. it has been only the faucet payouts and promotions and nothing else Smiley
21264  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: January 16, 2016, 12:19:43 PM
Hey guys,

I just spoke to a guy over chat who told me his plan was to get 100 BTC, wait for the price to reach $5k per BTC and retire after that. Since he lives in a third world county, that might be possible for him. I know this is a simplification of the problem but I d like to know what s your plan. How many BTC is your goal, at what price and what happens once you reach that goal. After all, we have all been involved in a dream, why not dream it a bit more.  Grin

i don't know to be happy that people believe bitcoin can reach $5k or pity them for investing crap load of money in bitcoin and sit back and watch! (gamble)

as for my plan. i have bought (invested money) as much as i was comfortable with, when price was low and i have no plan for selling them. i am hoping that one day i can spend them like normal fiat.
meanwhile i earn through trading and other stuff and sell those coins if i need the money.
21265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great Day for Bitcoin. Cryptsy finally admitted theft and Mike Hearn rage quits on: January 16, 2016, 06:08:15 AM
well the price continues to drop through the floor.its crazy
What do you expect when bad news are spreading around ?
I hope this situation will normalize soon, but gotta make some money in this situation so i bought few coins and hopefully by the next monday the price is back to it were before

it has always been like this. a bad news spreads like wildfire, especially since most of the news sites are loving the drama, the make it bigger with articles with titles like "bitcoin is dead" is going to disturb the market. but as always this is temporary and is going to pass. and then again a while later another news and same story again.
21266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why use exchanges online vallet? on: January 16, 2016, 05:59:09 AM
Why people use exchanges' online valets? There have been several thefts on those. Why use them? I prefer local valet on my computer. I personally use MultibitHD.

because they start using their brain "after" they were burnt. but as long as they see the beautiful design with beautiful words of a "website" they are happy. they exchanger claims to be safe in the first page with pictures of safes with big locks and they think to themselves we are going to be fine. and apparently they don't know about google and how to search about these stuff.

The funds are for a dog rescue place in spain.
~

since it is doge related, i think you should try DogeCoin communities too.
off the top of my mind i can name reddit.com/r/Dogecoin
if you are a legit place you can make a post on reddit with all the information and some pictures and you might have some luck.
21268  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: what do you think of recyclix.com? on: January 16, 2016, 05:34:54 AM
That site caught my attention coz it seems professionally made ,not just like other investment sites out there. My first impression was "Its an HYIP" but I became confused (whether it is or not) when I saw they have a PayPal withdrawal option (PP doesn't allow HYIP transactions right?) Anyways, I'm still interested giving it a shot but I want to know first if there's anyone here who use and got a good experience with the site. Kindly share your testimonies.

it is obviously a ponzi scheme, there is no question there.
as a rule you can guess if they are going to pay or not by seeing the big initial reward. i had an account there a while back i think the initial free money was ~20 euros but by time you want to withdraw you will encounter the rest of the rules like you have to invest more and more... and in the end there is no payment.
21269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cryptsy more evidence that it is impossible to really secure crypto? on: January 15, 2016, 03:43:42 PM
this only proves that people are stupid and "ignorant".
it has been said over and over "do not trust exchangers" and "do not keep your money and coins in their pocket".
it is not the first exchanger to allegedly get hacked and it is not going to be the last. this has nothing to do with crypto security!
21270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Day for Bitcoin. Cryptsy finally admitted theft and Mike Hearn tells truth on: January 15, 2016, 02:41:45 PM
You can read that there have been big losses/ thefts in Bitcoin again from an exchange (can we ever have any real security in Crypto?) Then one of the core Devs resigned because bitcoin obviously has got some big hurdles to overcome before it dies. Well personally because of the 2 of these I am down 15 bitcoins to start today. I have sold everything now and I am contemplating knocking crypto on the head for sure. I have lost far more money that I put into it. the bitcoin priice is going to go down devaluing any remaining physical coins I have left.
I am seriously annoyed by my stupidity to play with crypto so much.
Its a massive shame and a blow for bitcoin today. I hope everyone gets a chance to sell their remaining coins for a decent price.

For me I am fulfilling my current orders on physical bitcoins and then we will see where to go from there.

I need a new business me thinks

Today is a great day for bitcoin. Anyone selling bitcoin right now is a fool. If I had any extra money laying around I would buy everything I could. It's just like a stock, bad news about the company hits, prices fall, everyone realizes that said company is still a good company (as long as the news isn't life ending for the company) and the stock bounces right back up. Sub 400$ prices on bitcoin is just too good of a deal to pass up. People are replacable and corruption is everywhere. Doesn't mean the company "technology" isn't sound.

This, this is a solid buying chance.  Even just for day trading.. very tempted to make a large buy and sell in a week.

i agree. bitcoin is still strong enough. these sorts of news are just temporary bump on the road which will create best opportunities.
it has always been like this, a negative news will become big and spread through the internet and next thing you see is the panic sells and then shortly afterwards the rise begins.
21271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: January 15, 2016, 02:10:37 PM
i have been so back and forth with different gambling games so far Smiley

i have tried sports betting but i didn't like doing it so much.

i have tried poker and other card games and despite liking the game i did not enjoy playing it online, i like playing something like poker face to face rather than online.

so in the end i am back on the stupid dice track and playing dice nowadays to pass time!
21272  Economy / Gambling / Re: HYIP = Gambling on: January 15, 2016, 12:14:00 PM
Buying bitcoin is more like gambling ? can u justify that.

I believe gambling with money on chances is gambling. Buy bitcoins is currecy exchange what gambing in that... i agree that the price is highly volatile but if u see its is never going back to $1 -.-

I think buying bitcoins is a gambling LOL, because you are never sure whether the price can go up and down , and
surely it will in one way little or more. I love to buy bitcoin and wait for price rise. If we are ready to hold bitcoins for long term then the risk like gambling will fade away over time.

investing and risking is so different from gambling! you are confusing this two.
both have risks but you have no way of predicting the outcome of a bet in gambling whereas you can predict (or better said speculate) the outcome of your investment.

ofcourse if you invest in anything (not only bitcoin) without any knowledge and experience then it would become a high risk gamble.
21273  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your daily bankroll limit? on: January 15, 2016, 12:07:40 PM
back when i was in a gambling related signature campaign i transferred a portion of my campaign's earning to my gambling wallet and used that for the bankroll which would make my bankroll near 0.1-0.05BTC.

but nowadays especially because of the price rise i only gamble with giveaways and what i have left on the site's wallet which is usually very small amounts.
21274  Economy / Speculation / Re: drop it like it's hot. on: January 15, 2016, 11:59:42 AM
Seeing the last 24 hours there isn't any increase or decrease of the price(overall), its the same price as 24 hours before(almost)
which is not bad at all. That is the current situation in the market. There are as many people believing the halving is still far away, as these who believe it should have an immediate (positive) impact on the price. That brings stability and there is nothing wrong about it. As soon as one group becomes bigger, we will see a more serious move.
Fundamentally there was also nothing interesting happening in the last few months, and the price action reflects it.

i agree, i have always said that the effect of the halving alone is going to change the market and push the price up. because there is a popular speculation that the same thing as the last halving is going to happen this time too.
so i guess this upward movement has still a longer way to go up; at least until halving it is going to be this way.
21275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More info about investing in BTC on: January 15, 2016, 11:44:04 AM
it is all about experience and information. it is not an easy task though. you have to be always aware of the market and try to gather as much information as you can to try and speculate the markets movement in the future.
then mix that with a lot of manipulations then you will have the bitcoin market which everybody trying to get the piece of action.

21277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to present BTC to Newbies ? on: January 15, 2016, 11:25:53 AM
nowadays there are a lot of good youtube videos available that describe everything about bitcoin with beginner-friendly language that makes it easy to understand it. if i had not lost my bookmarks i would have posted some here but you can find it by searching.

also i think the best way is to giveaway some amount to start them off and show them how to send/receive bitcoin in action and not just in theory.
21278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here has made a lot of money from bitcoin? on: January 14, 2016, 04:12:09 PM
i don't think anyone not stupid enough, would tell you how much he made, because i'm sure there are feds watching here, they are waiting for thread like this to bust your house

in fact besides the Burt story i remember a member with 200k bitcoin here, and the police entered in his house and confiscate the amount

Do you know how and why? I see no reason for doing that, it's a bit a crazy story. Why would it be forbidden to have entered in btc really early?

i don't know about the case which Amph is talking about but these things usually happen because of illegal activities such as dark web stuff or big scams, or it can be because of tax evasion or lack of licence for conducting business.
you can find the detailed stories on news sites by searching bitcoin related arrests.

1) Lend BTC on a site where you can directly lend your funds to the borrower like BTCjam

this is a lot of work a lot of risk gaining some profit. finding a trustworthy person to lend to is hard and the amount of btc that you loan is usually low if you want to minimize risk so the profit is low too.

If you want to grow your coins you should take risk otherwise you cannot grow your bitcoin . There are safest way to lend bitcoin you can lend here , can use escrow , and take collateral .

yeah. i know. it is just because of a series of bad personal experiences in this matter that made me feel this way towards lending.

4) Cloud mining -like cex.io

did they resume their service and is it still profitable to mine on cex.io?

Yes , https://cex.io/cloud-mining. If you buy a decent amount of gh/s then yes its profitable .

thanks. i used to do some cloudmining there more than a year ago before they pause it. and i forgot about them especially because i have been away from bitcoin world for about 2-3 months.
21280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: January 14, 2016, 04:02:00 PM
im not sure if ive earn much already, but total profit with gambling in various gambling sites, ive earn like around 1.2BTC within this 4 month lol.
yeah slow but at least ive earn that.. and im goin bet more Smiley hope another 4 month will be around 2.4 BTC Grin
1.2 BTC as profit is not slow in 4 months. It is quite impressive but what is your initial bankroll. If you can post %profit on your bankroll than it make more sense. You are quite lucky to atleast earn some profit at last which is quite uncommon.
i thought its slow, im using like 0.03btc, some of my signature and twitter campaign payment to play on dice or casino.
when lose it all ive quit for 1 week, if i won around 0.1 i will try for bigger bet.. and if luck i can win until 0.3 with in 2 or 3 days..

very interesting. the important thing is to keep it this way.
if at the end of the week you look back to your winnings and the overall amount that you have won is bigger than the amount that you have lost and this continues throughout every month, then you can call it profiting. but sadly this way is not going always last for long.
