21321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: March 24, 2017, 10:55:27 AM
I don't think it will overcome paypal right now. Maybe in the future it might. The problem with paypal is that it is unsafe for merchants to use, especially if you are selling something digital. Buyers can usually just do charge back leaving sellers without recourse. On bitcoins, it is more seller inclined. As bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.

If you use PayPal, the merchants are at the risk from charge backs. At the same time, if you use Bitcoins then the buyer is at risk. What will you do, if you purchase some item and later finds out that it is defective?
21322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do miners really think destroying Bitcoin will make them rich? on: March 24, 2017, 10:51:31 AM
I am disappointed with the miners for some time now. They are always aiming for the short term gains. Why they are not realizing that if they sacrifice something now, they will get a 100x returns later?
21323  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gay Marriage and Adoption on: March 24, 2017, 10:39:41 AM
Why do you think that so many Western countries have problems with same rights for homosexual ppl?
And what do you think about it personally?

I am not against it. I think sexual preference of the parent does not have to interfere with or obstruct in raising a child.

If it does, whatever the preference may be, then the parent is unfit.

I am not much bothered about what they do in their bedrooms. But it is a proven fact that the homosexuals are much more likely to abuse children, when compared to the heterosexual parents. My objection against gays adopting children arises from this issue.
21324  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people care less about iraq and syria? on: March 24, 2017, 10:11:58 AM
It is wrong to say that the mainstream media and the western nations ignore what is going on in Syria and Iraq. Analyze the news coverage from mainstream media channels such as BBC, CNN.etc and you'll find that a major part of their coverage is dedicated to what is going on in Syria.
21325  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ? on: March 24, 2017, 10:08:05 AM
For those who are staying without it, I want to say thank you for making the excess available for those of was ready to consume more...

You can say that the meat will get a lot cheaper, if half of the world's population decides to become vegetarians. That said, there is a probability of small and medium scale farmers going bankrupt as a result of these low prices.
21326  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: March 24, 2017, 10:04:19 AM
and yeah, assad may be a creep, but it ain't an easy task to keep that shit together.

My point of thinking is very simple. Compare Assad with his potential successor. As far as I know, all the rebel leaders are much worse than Assad. They don't have the necessary experience, and most of them are radical Islamists.
21327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Under World War 3... on: March 24, 2017, 10:00:33 AM
What use has bitcoin when there is no electricity?

I think you will be better off focusing on water, food, shelter and medication.

Dude, technology has progressed so much that with a $10 solar panel, you will be able to generate electricity. If you don't want to use solar panels, then there are thousands of other options.
21328  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In Capitalist America, Russia Hack You on: March 24, 2017, 09:49:13 AM
Government sponsored hacking was started by the CIA and the FBI. The CIA used this, to spy on their enemies and even on their allies. Russia and China are late entrants to this sector, but they have caught up pretty fast.

exactly.

http://thestrategybridge.org/the-bridge/2017/3/8/information-warfare-isnt-russian-its-american-as-apple-pie

and american tactics in those departments, be that hacking or misinformation, are still to me most despicable.

russia and china are doing what any russia or china would.

The Americans have even converted the Hollywood movies into propaganda machines. Look at the movies such as American Sniper. The amount of propaganda in these movies will put those made by Leni Riefenstahl to shame. A perfect example is here:

21329  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you hate muslems? on: March 24, 2017, 09:23:08 AM
i dint hate them totally. but there is this feeling of hate and somewhat a bit scared because most of them are terrorist.

Even if just one in a million of them may be a terrorist, it is still a threat. And intelligent people always try to stay clear from the threats. Our own protection comes first, even if we have to offend a few people.
21330  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are terrorists only muslim in religion? on: March 24, 2017, 09:19:30 AM
Its fate that by birth they are muslim and by any reason they are unable to change it  but they should not follow it.Muslim doesnt mean to be only bad it teaches both things terror and goodness but as it teaches terror followers of it/muslims are called terrorists.who dont follow are not terrorists.

I agree that there are peaceful Muslims as well. But I have noticed something very important. When these Muslims remain secular or moderate, they rarely engage themselves in any terrorist activity. But when they immerse themselves in the study of the Islamic scriptures, they become more prone to committing acts of terrorism.
21331  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Radioactive Iodine-131 detected over large areas in Europe. on: March 24, 2017, 09:03:52 AM
Maybe in the North sea once again accident of any Russian nuclear submarine? Why not? If NATO missed the boat the Russians never recognized in the accident. It is better to bury the crew than the West recognizes that they are not noticed Russian submarine.

Look at the pattern. If the source of the radiation was from the North Sea, then how can the Iberian peninsula get affected? From the pattern, it seems like the source was somewhere in the Balkans, with the radiation moving in a North-West direction.
21332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Yeah, Obama tapped his phone. on: March 24, 2017, 08:59:38 AM

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/03/22/nunes-unmasking-report-vindicates-trump-claims-surveillance/

House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced on Wednesday that he had learned that members of President Donald Trump’s transition team had been under surveillance by the Obama administration, that individual names had been “unmasked” by the intelligence community, and that those names had been leaked to the media.

Nunes’s information — which he said he would deliver to the White House later — vindicates the bulk of Trump’s claims earlier this month.

Nunes said that while there was no direct “wiretap” by President Barack Obama of Trump Tower, there was indeed surveillance — perhaps collected incidentally — of people close to Trump, possibly including Trump himself.

Will the WaPo and the other ultra-liberal toilet dailies cover this news now? They were very quick to rubbish the allegations. With the proof being published now, will they retract their earlier claims?
21333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: March 24, 2017, 08:53:59 AM
everyone would like to switch to using alternative power sources such, but until now the resources are not too many alternatives are marketed in various countries, perhaps only some countries are already using the alternative power source.

Replacing all the non-renewable resources with renewable sources is going to be insanely expensive, and it will take many decades for the implementation. On the other hand, there are a few simple steps, such as reducing deforestation and banning harmful chemicals.
21334  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terror attack in London on: March 24, 2017, 08:47:21 AM
Only decisive actions can put an end to the mess that is now there. Very weak actions of the European authorities generate such situations, therefore flows of migrants will not stop and lawlessness will continue.

These issues will persist in the European Union. The EU is being ruled like a dictatorship by Angela Merkel and her cronies. There is no democratic values in the current EU regime. The lawlessness will end only if the dictatorship is toppled.
21335  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you think about the housing price in China? on: March 24, 2017, 08:44:07 AM
I admit that the house price that is increasing and abnormal has shocked me for a long time since many years ago.

I’m sure that it’s a bubble though I can’t figure out the true reasons. What I can guess is that the higher the price is, the more people who decide to buy houses.

As a old Chinese saying goes:“Running after Rising and Falling.” It showed that compared to something whose price is falling, we are more willing to buy the same thing whose price is increasing.

Sincerely, I dislike the horrible house price.

Perhaps one of the reasons is that nowadays a lot of people are considering residential real estate as a good and reliable investment asset, which gives high returns in the short term. If people are aware of the other low-risk assets such as equities and treasury bonds, this sort of mad rush can be avoided.
21336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can terrorism be stopped on: March 24, 2017, 08:39:45 AM
On my opinion the way to stop terrorist is our leader must  stop arming terrorists groups, respect other cultures, maybe wrong interpretation of religions, and also poverty, lack of deliberation and or political communication, So they need attention and if not ,so they became rebels.Unite is very important so that no more war and terrorist will happen.

Ideally, governments which are arming radical groups must be put under sanctions and embargoes. But this is never practical, as even the superpowers are afraid of countries such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who are sponsoring all these terror outfits.
21337  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fuck your vaccines on: March 24, 2017, 08:32:42 AM
If you live around where I live in where you see children who are supposed to be in school but are incapacitated and have now turn into beggars due to what can be avoided in the first place without no fault of theirs, then you will know the importance of vaccination for the body or you became a victim of disease or even know someone who became a victim of disease a migrant brought into the country that could have been avoided with vaccination, the you will have a rethink about how important it is to get vaccinated...

In certain third world nations, some of the radical religious groups (such as the Jehova's Witnesses and the Wahabbis) urge their followers to shun vaccinations and modern medicine. Actually, I don't really care if their children get crippled. But here, they are also putting the other children to risk as well.
21338  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: March 23, 2017, 04:08:00 AM
Bitcoin - an advantageous investment, but if you compare with gold, it's a controversial issue. Gold can be sold anywhere, and bitcoin without the Internet can not be sold. As a tool for short-term speculation bitcoin is very interesting.

You have to realise that shutting down internet in whole world is not that easy. If your nick is correct and you live in Japan, I wouldnt be scared of that outcome, could be last place on earth to have internet Wink

There is always the option of starting a "raw" transaction without the internet. I think that there is some method to broadcast it without the internet connection. But then again, the person who is receiving the coins need to have a net connection, in order to confirm the transaction.
21339  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Daily life in Pyongyang on: March 23, 2017, 04:03:31 AM

Organizing protests against a dictator is not something that I would condemn. But at the same time, the church should stay out of governance and vice versa. For example, the single biggest threat facing the Philippines is over-population. And as a result of the opposition from the church, the government can't popularize birth control measures.

True, there are things better left to experts. I remember when I was a kid one of the last phrase was "go forth and multiply"!  Grin A few years ago they finally decided to change it to "go forth and share the Word of Lord".  Cheesy

They only really speak out when it's the government trying to distribute condoms or talk about sex education. They don't bother with NGOs. The Church do encourage family planning but only natural methods (funny, they never mention pulling out  Grin ) which we know is not for everyone.

I don't want the government to go full authoritarian on the issue though. Some are arguing One Child Policy caused the demographic problem China is facing now. We don't want that problem. Our growth rate is just above replacement level. The only problem is it's not distributed evenly across the social levels (the poor usually have more kids, I've seen one family with 22)

If you look at China, they have benefited enormously from the one-child policy. The economic growth they achieved as a result was unbelievable. But it had consequences such as ageing and gender imbalance. But overall, I would rate it as beneficial for the Chinese.
21340  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are terrorists only muslim in religion? on: March 23, 2017, 03:58:33 AM
These terrorists are only using Islam as a part of their propaganda. They are hijacking Islam and making it look bad. One of my friends is from a Muslim family and she is just like every normal people.

Me too have a lot of Muslim friends, and on the outside they are very friendly and peaceful people. But if you ask them the following questions, then you'll understand the level of hatred ingrained in their brains:

1. If one of your siblings turn out to be a gay, will you accept his sexual orientation?
2. If one of your siblings or children decide to convert to some other religion, will you respect his choice?
3. Are you fine with your sister or daughter marrying a non-Muslim?
