Awe man, I just realized I had mine sent to my P.O. Box.... when I've been waiting for them at the door... lol Stupid me.

The coins have arrived and look great! Thanks! Those are the type two?

«Cheaper In Bitcoins - what more could you want?» «Step into the light with Cheaper In Bitcoins.»
haha i just might use these for my next slogan

I guess I was going for a super-legit approach that dosen't meet my needs at this point. I'm logged into my rack space hosting provider and they have a Rackspace Files hosting, I'm going with this option to hold daily mysql backups and "offline" wallet.

Yes it works. I regret to tell you I voted no on the basis of lack of redundancy aka single point of failure. It would be just as effective to place the data in an encrypted rar with a very long password with a recovery record and storing it on multiple Gmail accounts (again strong password ) using Gspace. What if there is a flood or fire at your house? There goes the HDD and the key in one fell swoop.
I think its pretty close to say based on the conclusion so far of the motion has voted "no". and although I don't think a flood is coming any time soon but fires and earthquakes are imminent; indio007 you are so right that would be just as good as storing it on multiple gmail accounts. Because its impossible to know weather or not you are a share holder at this moment(and unsafe) I'll shall cast another motion with this question stay tuned.

Okay I sent the motion again, I can see it my self now which is a first, someone please confirm this?
Unfortunately since I don't know who my bond holders are I'm just going based off of hear say so I can not speak about GLBSE with anyone through PM's. I suggest to the owner of GLBSE to have private messaging but I can see and realize GLBSE is trying to stay safe and are reluctant to release updates for security purposes so until they get a messaging system just hold out your private messages until then as I don't feel comfortable discussing through an unsafe channel(forums).

GLBSE Update: stocks are selling at around 1.1 BTC. CheaperInBitcoins now has 25 BTC in reserve.

Okay so It may have been that I set the wrong expiration date but this time I am sure that I've set the correct one. Please let me know if you can now view the motion as I have posted it to GLBSE again.
Thanks everyone!

Looks like front page is showing dollar amounts instead of BTC amount. I will release in an hour with a tested fix Thanks runlinux for your report! Just for the record(because I'm pride full on validity), the real page and shopping cart systems are indeed working : http://cheaperinbitcoins.com/product.php?productId=2556

I guess I just prefer MySql to manage it instead
And herein lies the problem. Switching from BerkeleyDB to any relational DBMS is a quite nontrivial tasks. Many people undertook it and nobody delivered a working code yet. Thankfully Gavin isn't accepting patches that modify the basic behavior of the Bitcoin with respect to block chain reorganizations. As for those who modify the underlying database without understanding the code: this was probably the story of MyBitcoin if one takes Ted Williams' posts on the face value. Some programmers completely cannot grasp the concept of chain reorganization and write code that is subject to an abuse that the unmodified Satoshi client is completely invulnerable. So in your opinion you believe that it is better to handle with berkelyDB given that you know what your doing?

Seems GLBSE is having issues with the "Motion" feature and has seemingly dissapeared I am contacting the owner of GLBSE to find out what the deal is. Everything else on GLBSE is looking fine so no worries everyones investment is still intact. On a side note: I have created Daemon page that will show some quick stats on the bitcoin daemon including how many transactions have gone through(this is not an accurate number it soley relies how many times bitcoins have been sent to the server) Daemon Page: https://cheaperinbitcoins.com/daemonMake sure you put the date in correctly (I think it is day-month-year, not the month-day-year some people are used to), also be aware that you won't be able to see the motion if you do not hold any of the stock (which I think is silly, perhaps we should suggest that gets changed?) I'll keep the date thing in mind, and yes they should have that changed. I already started a thread on the GLBSE forums I will reply back with this suggestion aswell. Thanks

Okay yeah so in that case yeah you can manage it, I guess I just prefer MySql to manage it instead

Honestly, I think its more work to go based off the bit coin daemon, if you want to move funds from a receiving bit coin address to a specific address in the same wallet it will have to go through the block chain which will add more wait time in waiting for even just 1 confirmation.
You seem to be missing two things: 1) RPC move between the accounts instantly 2) wallet.dat can be modified live with correctly compiled BerkeleyDB program that uses the same DBENV. wallet.db is a database and BerkDB is a quite powerful DBMS, its just that most programmers (including the 'core development group') are unfamiliar with it and don't understand its features. So your saying I can move bitcoins from one bitcoin address to another bitcoin address with out waiting for confirmations from the block chain? can anyone else verify this?

I just noticed that some products are showing up as being made by NETGEAR, I assure everyone that this is a minor bug in the "add products" admin panel. This will be fixed and you will get your products. if your not satisfied with your order you can return the order with a full refund(at your shipping expense) only valid if all items are unopened and have all parts.

Honestly, I think its more work to go based off the bit coin daemon, if you want to move funds from a receiving bit coin address to a specific address in the same wallet it will have to go through the block chain which will add more wait time in waiting for even just 1 confirmation. Its just easier to use a database and periodically scan your transactions and then update the database with Bitcoin addresses with corresponding information like confirmations, balance, etc, etc. This method can help save block time and its more efficient to look up account information as well, since if you relied on the daemon for information you'd have to rescan every request which is inefficient. With a database you can cache all data in the wallet in one swoop then have the program query the database.

I've decided people are losing money by setting this months locked in price to $8 so I shall set it to $9 Happy mining! Which means you are losing money instead? Or are your margins high enough to cover it? No at worst if the exchange rate goes $3 below my "Locked in Price" then I'm loosing money at which I have investors to pad the expense at which I can wait out the exchange rate to equalize and pay back my investors. So basically if prices go lower then $6 i have three choices.... issue refunds(which is last resort), wait it out until exchange rates go back up(yeah right, that would be an unstable business), or always pay for every purchase upfront in $$$ then save the Bitcoins until exchange rate equalizes. only the 3rd choice is transparent and manageable. So to the answer to your question my margins are high enough to cover it, I get this question asked a lot so i figured I'd explain it in detail.
