2141  Local / Pilipinas / More online stores, less tax generated on: July 09, 2020, 01:56:09 PM

Any thoughts about this?
2142  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: July 09, 2020, 01:20:38 PM

1month or 2 from now possible na magsara yang scampany nayan gawa ng malaki na yung nalikom .
2143  Other / Meta / Re: Video tutorial needed for newbies on: July 07, 2020, 06:57:44 PM
Please change you writing color to black first. It was very difficult me to read your post and I believe it will discourage more reputed users to read. You don't need to highlight your full post.
Yeah, I was like, am I reading on a hyperlink?? lol
Regarding video tutorials, why not search on YouTube? Who will not able to understand forum system by reading posts then probably they wouldn't understand from YouTube tutorials which will be made in English. More better search it by your native language and you might get best answer.  Spend more time to read and learn, that's the best way.
The idea was not that bad at all since it got a purpose to teach newbies the system of the forum, it is  time saver actually but I'll appreciate newbies if they are going to spend their time reading through the forum by visiting certain section of their desired topic coverage. I think it is literally a spoon feeding scenario for newbies that they might just overlook the fundamentals of the forum. Besides the forum isn't that hard to learn.

2144  Other / Meta / Re: Is this a bug? on: July 07, 2020, 06:23:44 PM
Never seen this kind of bug, or it is really a forum bug? maybe it is just from your end seeing that non-working signature.

If it was not due to the CSS then it is on your browser or the internet maybe? I've encounter some errors upon searching in the forum through the search bar, so far that's the only error I've encounter in the forum.
2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to spend Bitcoin on: July 07, 2020, 05:10:47 PM
In my opinion, I will prefer to choose the title: Merchants that Accept Bitcoin as payment.
If your title is "Where to spend Bitcoin", I will definitely  answer:
I will spend my Bitcoin on my local exchange, convert it to fiat, transfer it to my bank account and make its cash. then, I will spend the money for everything that I need.
You would only answer that way if he puts '?' on it, that means he's asking for where he could actually spend his bitcoin. I found nothing wrong with the title itself, I guess you just misunderstood it.

The lists may not work well for me, moreover, in my country, BTC is not legal for payment. I'm also not interested to buy something with BTC.   Grin Grin
The place in the list is internationally scattered so it does not affect your country of origin, as long as can pay them bitcoin you can get their product or services offered. In my country also, bitcoin payment is not as many as these places, there are only some merchants who accepts it and we all know that it is because of the uncertainty of cryptocurrencies. Now you buy an apple, then tomorrow you could buy a house.
2146  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Businesses in Manila accepting crypto as payment (hotels groceries, cars, houses on: July 06, 2020, 05:58:37 PM
Bitcoin was never safe, may pandemic man or wala sa tingin ko hirap tumanggap ng bitcoin as payment kase alam naman nating walang kasiguraduhan ang presyo nito. Hindi yung puro scam like Forsage  Embarrassed
2147  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: July 06, 2020, 03:33:48 PM

Pababain ang rate ng mahhirap ng ma afford lahat or mostly ng smartphones to have their wallet inside their phones or any device na pwede magamit as  e-wallet.
2148  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Location of Bitcoin ATMs in the Philippines [will update from time to time] on: July 06, 2020, 02:36:11 PM

Anyone can confirm those are active and functioning?
Regarding this, Im not so sure mate. Hope someone working near there can confirm its availability.
Isa rin to sa concern ko kasi wala pang nakikitang post or testimony na gumamit na sila ng bitcoin atm, pero looking forward ako dito, for sure marami na naman angmagtatanong saakin kung papaano sa lugar namin  Roll Eyes
2149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO SCAM on: July 05, 2020, 11:59:45 PM
There are many ways you can avoid ICO scam.
If you guys are smart enough then you should kno what should be done to check if the ICO is a scam project.

1. Search thoroughly the team behind the project, this is what matters the most for when you check for the project because the team is the heart of the project. It matters when they a degrees related to run and handle a project, not just because they said it on LinkedIn.

2. The project aim. There are lots of project these days but are the long term? is the purpose beneficial for the crypto? is it going to be a huge deal? this is what I look for the project goal.

3. Whitepaper. You'll see a lot of copied whitepaper, if you see one leave that project alone.

You can follow up on telegram to see what people are saying about  the project, you can also check on forum to see the level of acceptability of that project, you can also check review of such project on the internet, you can so background check on each team member.
Yeah, you can join such groups that is wanting to invest on those projects so you can see their opinions about it. The reviews on the internet? I don't trust them, you can actually pay someone to do a positive review with everything.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware wallet was seized by US customs. on: July 05, 2020, 11:03:48 PM
Our customs also have been reported doing the same thing, there were package that is broken when it was receive telling the receiver that it was broken when they got and never do anything on it.

But this? I just think they opened it hoping for something else but wasn't expecting what's inside, coz if they do they will surely withdraw all the funds you got on that hardware wallet.

If they suspected it for something, or was seize that time, they should be contacting the receiver and tell that they are going to check it. Am I right? or they have the right to check on it without anyone knowing?
2151  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Vlogs on how to earn in Bitcointalk on: July 04, 2020, 06:50:41 PM
Isa to sa rason kung bakit marami tayong mga low-quality posters at spammers(not talking about pinoys specifically).

Maybe magandang i front muna ang kaalaman kaysa kita, baka kasi mainterpret agad ng viewers na yung goal sa bitcointalk is to earn not to learn. But if earning would be secondary, I think this would be a better way to advertise bitcointalk community.

Or perhaps, pwedeng iadvertise ang bitcointalk to offer services gaya ng web development, virtual assistance at iba pang service to earn. Kasi yung point na directly signature campaign, it could attract spammers at maaaring makaapekto sa quality ng forum at topics.
True, meron pa kong nakitang video dati na pinopromote ang bitcointalk dahil sa mga campaign which is napakamasamang take for the forum, para kang naghahakot ng bata para gumawa ng bahay. Maraming pwedeng pagkakitaan dito especially sa para sa mga IT, they can offer their services here.
2152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Undo button for transactions on: July 04, 2020, 05:50:37 PM
Undo button for transactions. what if the sender made payment for a high fee and pick up by miner almost immediately or would there be e central control where the transaction will be help before processing? That will go against decentralization of course.
Worried about the miner to confirm that transaction too, I'm not fully aware of this undo button maybe there is a function where the undo button is only available for a short time, I don't want to think the obvious way of putting an undo button it is really useless and hassle at the same it. What we need is a sense of self-security, the essence of double checking everything upon sending any funds to others.

The only best way in my own opinion is to establish a medium of check where the amount and address are confirmed second time before the processing actually takes place. Most wallets have this feature
Or just a visible clipboard software? I haven't see any one using or recommending this, or maybe this isn't existing yet? it would be a lot of save effort.
2153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty managers can do better on: July 03, 2020, 05:57:59 PM
You know the reason why managers don't mind taking projects and start a campaign is because they got less stuff to lose, just quite of their time coz they already have got initial payment upon starting the campaign, some even received the payment for managing a project in weekly basis. However, what the managers are putting into expense is their own reputation on the platform like here in bitcointalk, if you got more than scam projects handled then most probably participants won't likely to do much effort participating in your campaign since they got a high chance of being scammed. Pity for those who don't quit bounty hunting  Undecided
2154  Other / Meta / Re: Its really getting annoying on: July 03, 2020, 05:25:52 PM
Please what is the reason behind the locking of a thread by Bitcointalk moderators? some of the thread about altcoins created by my friend has been locked for further comments after receiving up to 60+ comments within 24 hours. What's the reason behind this, please?

Threads generally get locked when they constitute spam or when there is already a thread discussion about the same topic or any other specific reason. Why not provide the link of the topic which got locked.

Better move this topic to Meta as it is related to forum moderation.
Definitely. The number of comments doesn't mean anything, even you get a 10 pager thread after being posted 6 hours ago. Threads are more likely to be locked by the moderators if the topic is too off for a reason, not that really substantial, irrelevant at all ( even in off topic lol ) and duplicated or has the same topic as previous posted threads. Moderators more often just lock the thread instead of deleting it, it is a way of saying the reason above respectively, they appreciate your effort on posting and pleasing you not to do that again and be careful next time  Wink
2155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: July 03, 2020, 04:42:21 PM
In general, yes. Success of a trader determines the number of successful transactions.
Seeing a lot of successful trade of a trader does not define probability in any direction. Literally we can't set a probability on that one.

Each transaction is based on a specific set of data by which the trader can guess where the trend will go.
However, data is always not enough to have 100% probability, so often traders face losses that minimize through the use of stop loss.
This isn't the probability that you define above. Yes, there is a probability of a trade, it's always 1/2 just like a true of false question, will I win this trade? win or lose. The probability is way farther, let's just call it prediction, all of us predict the prices coz there's no way that any one of us really knows where the next price is going and that's how the market get its value. But these days?  I think what we need to do to be able to win a trade is to catch a luck, market is too wild and volatile especially in futures trading, I always lose at it.

What will be the solution for this?
How we can help our government on this current circumstances?
Does bitcoin or any digital currency could help?

What will be the solution for this?

answer: Find the cure first before the answers will be pointed because as long as this virus is around?all our effort will never stop the spread.
If our efforts will never stop the spread how come that there are country that already defeated the virus? Not totally defeated but they have been reached the 0 case of covid-19, just for an example the New Zealand and Turkmenistan? Even though we haven't found the vaccine yet, I guess the solution for now is cooperation with the government.

How can we help our government on this current circumstances?

answer: I am trying to extend my hands helping some of our communities that needs Help in my small ways.
Just follow their orders, our government don't want us to be at risk so they are setting the guidelines for every community. Well for some people that has more than enough they can help other less fortunate people during this time.

Does bitcoin or any digital currency could help?

answer: Digital currency is only a Medium and we as users will do the action to help the situation.

It can but it is quite impossible for now, if we are talking about bitcoin being a currency today there is a small chance of it being used these days.
2157  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Scammers BTC addresses at iba pa on: July 03, 2020, 03:04:59 PM
I was wondering kung paano nila hina-handle 'yong mga report cases.
This would be ridiculous if they could just post a reported address which never scam people. Kaya siguro marami ang may doubt sa ganito dahil pwede ka siraan ng ibang user sa pagreport lang ng address mo, and worst baka malaman pa nila ang identity mo once you file a counter-complaint. Kailangan talaga ng solid evidences sa mga ganito, imagine your address being broadcast on this website kahit na wala ka namag ginagawang masama, nakakapanghina.

Just think about it, if you have a e-commerce website tapos yung known BTC address mo ay rineport ng mga competitor mo your known BTC address can be linked to a "scam" sa kanilang mga criteria. I know this website might be useful pero yung way nila kung paano nila i-handle or i-verify yung scam na nangyari dapat nilang baguhin ito at hindi lamang naka depende sa dami ng mag-rereport sa address na ito because it can be used by wrongdoers as well.

Exactly, man. I was thinking the same... kumbaga sa laro kahit maganda naman ginawa mo pero pag napagtripan ka ng group and then nag-mass report sila against sa'yo, the game itself would still punish you.

Pero what is the best way ba para i-handle 'yong ganitong case? Huh
2158  Other / Meta / Re: Quiz: History on Bitcointalk on: July 03, 2020, 02:33:42 PM
The whole "Bitcoin and me" question could have used some additional context.

Just dropping "Bitcoin and me" without stating that it's a thread or that you were supposed to choose the author of the thread is incredibly unfriendly in terms of UX.
I tend to agree on that, " bitcoin and me " I was like 'what?!' coz I don't see any context that has been used, you could have had follow up question or change the way you ask for it, coz it is not really question.

But I like the quiz, this just proves me that I am not as knowledgeable as I think of myself towards the forum, I didn't even remember when Satoshi posted his last post omg  Shocked I only got 6/12. this is too bad for me considering that I've spent already a couple of years here in the forum. Can we get a part 2 of this kind of quiz?  Cheesy this is why I hate my history subject back then arg.
2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America now treats BTC and ETH as Cash on: July 03, 2020, 02:01:33 PM
The post was deleted by the moderators, they might have been considered that claim as baseless.

It honestly isn't the best type of source to verify a claim. The submission has now been removed by mods. Perhaps it was even a suspected fake.
If true, we shouldn't rush to consider this good news. A probable cause of this decision could be that it was done to deter abuse of card benefits programs. Right now there are some services that allow you to buy crypto with cards without extra cost. This could be used to rack up miles on a bonus program. This was done also when the FED was selling coin stacks for CC payments for free. Banks were quick to catch up of course.

Whether or not considering BTC cash will have any positive effects related to this bank remains to be seen.
Yeah, some people might have just faked it up, it was just a pure assumption. There's no way people would consider spending cryptocurrency because of a single reason and that is volatility, you bought an apple today and you could buy a lambo tomorrow, that's how I picture it out for bitcoin and ethereum. Some utility coins might be used for transaction in daily basis but bitcoin and ethereum? it needs to walk a long mile before reaching it. Talking about using of cryptocurrency, I doubt that most of the government will do this, they have already conducted testing on CBDC.
2160  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Scammers BTC addresses at iba pa on: July 02, 2020, 06:37:39 PM
Siguro ang best purpose neto is to history check the scammers addresses.
