Those guess have endless speculations and assumptions, but have nothing to prove what they say. Just a bunch of rhetoric and blowing steam off.  TIX has an excellent future, I hope it can to LTC's level one day.
And TIX have a best support, many services for now and much more in near future. Just mining and hold our TIX and we can be rich one day.

I know it won't get me 5 figure digits or more, but 4 figure digits would be a nice thing. lol Regardless, I'm going to wait and be patient for the value to go up.

I'm assuming there are plans in the works to get a main website up for the coin? Surprised there isn't one already with the popularity TIX has seen.

There are two websites coming soon for the new "official" services that will be used as our home. I'll also get TIX.iGotSpots.com up this weekend to officially welcome it to the iGotSpots, LLC family and have a place to get the newest important news and updates at a glance. Maybe even tonight if the damn trading slows down. I can't tear myself away from staring at the exchanges and buying these when the price gets low again!

Cool. But damn, TIX took a dive today. 50% drop on Cryptsy from high trade value last night. Why is Memecoin and Spoetnik attacking you on chat on Cryptsy? I'm going to hold on to TIX until the next jump that goes over .00000150 to .000002 range.
Dont worry, memecoin and spoetnik sucks  Grin

I took a 6 class program in Cisco at my college that focused on WANs, LANs, Switches, Topologies of Network types (STP, OSPF, RIP2, etc) and more....I only have network certificate, but working on getting a BS in IT Networking, focusing on either Wireless or Security. I do freelance computer repairs, network setups and anything that I have a skill for in the field....

my advice is to move into doing Devops as pure networking is a dying industry with the pressure from cloud and visualization, Java/C/C#/PHP and other common programming languages are always worth getting the basics done it has helped me quite a bit having these skills  Cool

you can get quite a few freelance jobs doing network security but expect things to be broken or already hacked by the time you get called in  Roll Eyes

Originally I was going to do more of the hardware aspect of networking, but security, wifi and virtualization is the future of networking industry. So, I made a switch towards that. I need to pick up my Java, PHP and C++ programming skills. I hear the nightmare of doing network security jobs. Previously admins purposely messing up the network before leaving and/or putting security holes to get back at their old company if they got fired.

You can probably find 3x used HD 7950's for $150~$140 each on craigslist. 5-6 BTC is about $600 to $800 worth, it's possible under that budget. At worst, you might have to run 2x HD 7950's if you can't get it within that budget range.

Yea I am seeing the 7950's going for $165 on ebay. The problem for me is that I live in the middle of nowhere (3 hours north of SF) so craigslist is kinda out of the question for me unless some one will ship to me  Roll Eyes. I would really like to spend only BTC on this project, seems that everything on bitmit.com is so over priced. Ill keep scouring the marketplace here for a bit until I get annoyed.

When it comes to paying with BTC, people under value it. You might be best to convert it to cash at Coinbase. They are located in the US and pretty trustworthy. People are dumping they HD 7950's and 7970's for the new AMD R9 290/290X. Good time to start picking up these cards on the cheap. I saw some sold a 7950 for $120 in Oakland. I live in the San Joaquin Valley, about 1hr 20 min to 1hr 35 min for SF.

Converting the coin is just what Im trying to avoid. I dont like the idea of having to convert the currency to have to use it. I saw this card http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/sys/4063774905.html today but once again Im not really willing to drive all the way down after gas and my time Im way over paying. Thanks for all your input bud I do appreciate you. I have a few offers pending on our marketplace Ill go from there. I think that finding the cpu/mb combo is going to be a chore I may just get that on ebay. I just found this motherboard http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Intel-CrossFireX-Motherboard-GA-P75-D3/dp/B007R9CRJE/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1350950330&sr=1-4&keywords=gigabyte+lga+1155+b75?ie=UTF8&tag=tonymacx86com-20

SJ is another 1 hr-ish extra drive from SF. Driving in the bay during rush hour sucks. You might be able to go cheaper with an AMD CPU and Mobo. HD 5870 are using cheaper on CL, I got one for $80 and another for $60 for my first GPU rig. But I'm about to get some HD 7950's in the near future and have an AMD and Intel rigs ready for up to 8 GPU cards total between the two. But probably going to put 2 a piece for starters. You probably get some from the marketplace, if people are flexible with their offers. Good luck with your build and happy mining....

Hm.., you might want to consider cex.io (referral link), it let you buy GH/S and collect dividend daily. Free electricity, management fee and etc.

Boring. I want to build this rig that is the appeal to me.

Plus CEX.io does bitcoin mining, not GPU mining (ie scrypt). Usually those companies come out on top for profits, while the users get minimum profit or next to nothing or in the minus. Plus, building a GPU miner is fun, just got to watch out for the electricity cost. Mine during off-peak and part-peak hours only.

The third Primecoin mining pool!

website: http://rpool.net/blocks

features:
2% fee
payout according to last round shares, and send immediately to your wallet (like p2pool)
different chain-length share value (see http://rpool.net/reward)

miner: use beeeeer pool miner primeminer v0.4 RC1 , thanks xolokram!

usage: primeminer -pooluser=[payout-address] -poolip=rpool.net -poolport=8336 -genproclimit=[threads-to-use]

Happy mining!

The pool site is in Chinese. Is there an English version?
The english version will out tonight.

That's good to hear. Is there a minimum to payout with this pool? yPool has a 2 XPM minimum payout. What cpu miner is suggest for this pool? Where to download it?
The english version is ok now, the minimum payout is 0.01, like p2pool you will receive it immediately. other useful info you can see on the website.

yPool is annoying for making it 2 XPM for minimum payout, that would take a couple days for me to get on my current hardware. 0.01 is very fair minimum payout compared to yPool.

Will there be a mining pool any time soon? The difficulty is just too high to solo mine.

due to the changes that have been made it makes it hard for the pool server software to work out of the box its needs a new proof of work module for the Blake algorithm (done but not fully tested) and any sha256d hashing the pool server software uses needs to be replaced with Blake e.g sha256(sha256(data)) is now blake256(data), feeleep has been working on it but think that most of the others pool operators are waiting for p2pool for Blakecoin to be released or they want me to do it for them  Undecided

I did not premine and I am quite a small miner 20 cpu core and 2 FPGA's and the pool operators are unlikely to offer any donations for working on the problem even though they may charge you a % for mining with them so I am unsure how much work I want to put into getting their software working, I think that once p2pool is released that will solve the pool issue but I might help feeleep get a pool working as he has shown some effort to work on the problem unlike most others who expect me to solve it for them  Cry

so my todo list looks like this:

1. p2pool
2. fix any small bugs and help feeleep
3. GPU miner

I have been working non stop past week so I am trying to get it done in a timely manner

maybe I should have done a pure clone coin would have been much less work  Roll Eyes

sorry if I sound a little grumpy about pool stuff but got a lot of pm's demanding work from me which is unfair and I have not had much sleep past week or so  Shocked

No rush. Hope you get more people with the right skills to help you. I wish I could help out, but my only computer skills is Cisco Networking, computer troubleshooting and other IT networking related skills. This is pretty original, last type that is original is Scrypt-Jane.

thanks for kind words it always helps with motivation  Cool

funny thing is that my degree is in Computer network management but due to lack of work in that area in UK I have mostly been working as a freelance games developer or network analyst   Cheesy

Blakecoin is part of my hobbies as I enjoy working with electronics and c programs in my spare time  Grin

One the low low budget, you can get away with HD 5850, 5870, 6950 and 6970. Next would be HD 5970 and 6990. Then the best power/hash rate would go to the HD 7950. Best to stay with the 7900's series at least for best performance. You can get away with 4 GB system ram and a decent single or dual core cpu. Best to have an open setup, then a case for cooling. Also have a good 750 watt PSU at least, but I would suggest 1000 watt to 1200 watt, depending if your going run more then 3x HD 7950's.
So it seems that I could build a rig that runs 3x HD 7950's for the budget Im setting for myself. What kind of Mh/s would I be looking at? Any suggestions on a MB or MB CPU combo? Also where should I begin looking to purchase some of this gear with btc other than the here?

Also consider having few solar panels to compensate some of the electricity if you're so you pay less and save the coins instead of having to dispose them to pay the electricity outright.

solar panels are extremly expensive. Your electricity cost less than those solar panels produce in their lifetime I believe

With the current panels, it takes 15 to 20 years for them to equal out the cost. But that can change in the next two years.

scrypt-htc is reminscent of scrypt-pgc (Pangu) and scrypt-new (Kingcoin) - just another scrypt-jane that is disguised as a CPU-mining algo while the creators mine on their GPUs

That's so scam-ish. Sad some people do that just to make a couple of dishonest $$$.....Only new CPU mine coin that has potential is Blake, using Blake-256...

Now it's finally hashing, that's without -q. It took 10 minutes before it started. It's hashing 1300 to 1900 kh/s per core on Intel T4500, but with long pauses before hashing again. The "--no-longpoll --no-stratum" comes up with an error of unknown command --. So, I omitted those commands.

it is compiled for core2 that may be why it is slow on that cpu might be worth compiling from source for maximum hashrate still 1300 to 1900 kh/s per core is not bad  Cool

"--no-longpoll --no-stratum" error  Huh  not sure why it is doing that

at least you are mining now  Grin

I will try to get the new 0.8.6 wallet out today so please check this thread soon  Cool

True, at least I'm finally mining. Probably because the cpu I'm test mining with doesn't have the cache and pipelines of the Core2. This cpu is a stripped down version of a Core2. Strange that the "--no-longpoll --no-stratum" doesn't work, but I guess the miner goes to default getwork network more likely. I'm going to try on a Core I5, AMD Phenom II x4 and a Core2 Duo cpus next.
