2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much does Bitcoin affect other cryptocurrency? on: May 11, 2023, 02:42:07 PM
OP, I get where you are heading to. I know you must be wondering why bitcoin stands to be head over other Crypto currencies in the world and why is the other Crypto market dependent on bitcoin.

At first, you should know that bitcoin is the first Crypto currency to be developed and it has no central authority over it. Hence it is a decentralized blockchain.
Bitcoin so far since inception have been termed and tagged a digital gold which no other coin has succeed to have achieved.

The maximum supply of bitcoin gives it a good spot to be in the limelight and for everyone to see.

Lastly,  the demand for bitcoin surpasses every other  coin so far and running into millions on daily basis much better that other Crypto. You could imagine if these people tell their experience on good fate about bitcoin tell me why wouldn't there be a surge in price and holders vice versa as the case maybe. All these contributes to the ups and downs of the bitcoin market which also affects other Crypto market as well.
2142  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇BEST CASINO IN 2023 - Community decide🥇 on: May 11, 2023, 02:14:44 PM
OP I commend your efforts in carrying out this task. Atleast this would encourage more activities on the part of the casinos and forcing them to do things appropriately if they must remain relevance in the industry.
I would like to call your attention to this, you did not really specify the casino if it is online casino or land casino or if it is the casinos in general and from the list I am seeing here so far, it is online casino I have been seeing does it mean land casino for not qualify for the awards? Are they not also part of the casino industry?

Lastly, you did not really state how the award proces would scale through choosing the recipients of the various categories for the awards here for us to know. I believe with these, we can be  fully involved not just telling us to list our choice for the categories.
I think we need know what is involved choosing the award recipient.
2143  Economy / Gambling / Re: blizz.io blatant scammers stay away on: May 11, 2023, 12:52:57 PM
they did not give evidence nor reply to emails clearly they want to take my money

a gambling site that's pretty lousy

Is is unfortunate that such is happening to you and the worst of it all is that the casino is not a known casino neither is their presence recognized here for easy, faster actions be taken.
From the above you uploaded, it seems they are bereft o ideas to prove their points and from he looks based on the previous upload, hey paid for review which if we are to go buy the trust pilot response or remarks on their review of paid for review, blizz casino are not genuine and all these you are going through must have been a scripted act from them.. so sorry this is happening to you but it should be a lesson learnt for you to do a proper research and possibly identify with casinos here with good reputation.
2144  Other / Meta / Re: How much Merit have you given/ received? I'm gonna need about tree fiddy on: May 11, 2023, 12:30:07 PM
No. I totally disagree with you on this very statement of yours regarding having member's smerits decay after months of no usage, because just as our faces differs so do our decision making differs also, and not everybody loves to send their smerits when it's still little but loves to accumulate more, unlike others who don't mind sending it immediately after receiving a merit since it's of no benefits to the user. So it will be a great if members should be allowed to send their smerit whenever they feel it's right to whichever post they feel it's worth deserving without been pressured.
I will also agree with your opinions, I also don't think it's cool that in the future there will be a rule that Smerit will decay. I think it is more of a user's personal freedom to whom he will give the Smerit generated from his earned merit. I think any such rule will create pressure on his personal freedom.
Since smerit is created because of his ability to get merit, I think it's better to leave this whole thing up to him Now to whom he will give merit, how and when he will give it is completely up to him However, it is a main responsibility and task to take care that merit is not abused here.

I concur with your opinion mate. You see sMerit is more of Merit itself in a bigger version. This is more of a reward for doing good, plus your contributions and should be retained by the awardee as it is just like a pride of your efforts in real life. I will ask this question is it possible for one to destroy his or her life time achievement award given in recognition for their quota and efforts in building a system? The answer I will expect from you is a no.
Same applicable to the sMerit system. It will be nice if in the future the sMerit is allowed to stay as the holder wants it to and when ever they decide to give it out to a post worth it.
2145  Other / Meta / Re: Account rank and posts on: May 11, 2023, 12:10:53 PM
I checked your profile OP and I noticed you already have red flags attached to it which is not a good signal. So I would advise you not to bother deleting anything because it would not remove the red flag as your profile is already archived with the reasons for the red flag tag. So It is nice you leave it that way because deleting your post would not hide anything from the forum since your account got tagged already. You will only end up reducing your activities and ranks while deleting your posts but your tag still remains there. So no need wasting your time.
If I may ask, why do you want to delete your post when you know what it takes to make a post to get rewarded with merits and growing through ranks. Do you not think deleting your post would affect your rank?
2146  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Watch wallet scam on: May 11, 2023, 11:59:04 AM
LOL, you know, my friend, it's just circumstance that makes people fall victim to some kind of sophisticated scam.

You are correct mate. I see no reason why one on his or her right senses would fall for scams If not for greed and selfish interest. As a normal human being one should be able to detect a scam and do away with it immediately to avoid the unfortunate to happen but out of desperation, greed and selfish interest, it seems like being bent on getting the fish out of the hook which ends up catching them in.

I can say that in the past, my friend scammed a scammer who wanted to scam him. How did it happen? It happened that day that he received a message on Telegram from an unknown TG user who asked him to help him with the gas fee in Tron so that he could withdraw a token in the wallet he showed my friend, and he promised that he would give my friend about $1k worth of the token if he succeeded in withdrawing the token, which was worth $20k+. So my friend entered a CEX and purchased Tron coin, but in that exchange the minimum Tron withdrawal is above $10, so my friend took a screenshot and sent it to him, telling him that he had just spent $10 to purchase Tron but could not withdraw it because the minimum withdrawal is about $20. This foolish scammer foolishly sent an extra $10 to the address my friend sent him, and my brother blocked him. That's all I cam remember.

Your friend was very smart and lucky enough to plot his own scheme very fast upon realizing the person he was chatting with is a scammer.  I guess the scammer was thinking your friend was a mugu to have fallen for his tricks of sending him the Tron so he quickly sent it to your friend to convince him but forgot the scheme he himself was trying to plot. He now became the victim of his own plans.
That serves him right. In his next sojourn he will never think of it to any random person's the feel will fall for their gimmicks.

Let's be more careful and never fall into these cheap scams; they were very popular in 2018 and 2019.
Newbies are more likely to be prone to all these tricks as they have no idea and experience on how the system works so they are likely to fall for them. It takes only a smart person to quickly detect their tricks and discard them immediately.
2147  Economy / Gambling / Re: vbetFTN.com | Leading Online Gambling Operator | 🎰 on: May 11, 2023, 01:38:52 AM
Welcome to bitcointalk forum. I had to check for myself after reading through and it was indeed true that your graphics and user interface are unique with touch of excellence but the site is too complicated with lots of games which seems to be very much interesting.

I saw promo code while accessing your casino. Is it for special preference because you did not say anything about it here and from the looks, the promo code features is active which means one needs to input a code before applying for it. How do one get the promo code for use then?

Bothering on KYC, it seems your casino requires gamblers to upload their means of identity which does not go down well with most members here and myself too. I do not fancy it any more releasing my identity to any casino just to play or gamble on their platform and i would also want to know this, do you request for kyc  after a gambler wants to withdraw after big win?..
2148  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin miners in Nigeria on: May 10, 2023, 10:42:15 PM
The use of bitcoin in nigeria is consider illegal because CBN itself has made it clear that bitcoin shouldnt be transacted with any bank so nigeria having bitcoin miners is still of suprise to me because this act will just attract the authorities to you. And even if there are possible miners here, i think they are not many and it would definetly be solo miners because i would say its imposible to commence pool mining because of the lack of the many criteria that involves bitcoin mining.
The use of bit on in Nigeria is not illegal. That is a wrong Information. CBN has nothing to do with Bitcoin mining in Nigeria. CBN only ban crypto currency transaction through banks and not even p2p. Though I have not seen any mining in Nigeria, and I do not know if there is any. I believe Binance company has the mining equipment in their office and presumably they do mine. But I am not sure. If Nigerian government ban the uses of cryptocurrencies in the country, they would not accept exchange.

Mate no vex o. I dey wonder as this paddy man take dey get him update say bitcoin dey illegal for Nigeria and  CBN don ban am . Omo CBN na National assembly to make and pass law?
To The Best of my knowledge, cbn only prohibited the banks from carrying out any Crypto currency related transaction in Nigeria but Dem no ban am. Na national assembly fit sit talk about am then pass into law. As far as I am concerned, bitcoin no dey illegal for Nigeria not until national assembly talk and pass am into law say make Nigerians no deal on Crypto den I go believe and agree say bitcoin dey illegal for Nigeria but as it stands now bitcoin no dey illegal for Nigeria. Na just for fear say make police and efcc no use person shine naim make every Oman dey mind him ways with bitcoin and Crypto publicly.
Prevention is better than cure.
2149  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Watch wallet scam on: May 10, 2023, 08:45:57 PM
It is true that some people use watch wallet as a means of scam. I was a victim last time I was following the directions of this guy who I met online and before you know it I saw over $234,400 in the wallet,I was surprised and very happy and this guy said I should pay for login so I can access the money I was like why can’t I just withdraw this money the guy said I have to pay for the login I felt uncomfortable because if he can access this type of money in is it arch wallet 10k won’t be is problem for him many people fell for this and we are about 300 in that group so my advice for us is let be careful and don’t fall victim of this scam.

I think I saw something of this nature this morning on the bitcoin discussion board while trying to recall where I saw similar thing of that nature so I could immediately respond to it but engagement and activities could not allow me do the needful immediately. So I had to wait till now as I checked the local board i saw this post then I remembered I saw similar thing I had to check but it is no more in the bitcoin discussion board and it seems moderator deleted it because it was having key phrase as you have said here. Just what you explained here replicated itself.  And the scammer mentioned the amount on the wallet together without the key phrase so that a desperate novice could fall easily for their tricks.
OP you did a nice job by exposing them here. Atleast we know how they operate now. Newbies can take caution from this update now.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Ordinals on the edge of getting canceled on: May 10, 2023, 07:28:38 PM
If we are asked by the Bitcoin devs to vote and choose between allowing ordinals to keep doing their thing on Bitcoin or they should cancel ordinals what will you be voting for?  Grin Grin

What a question! I believe you to knows what to do in this case. You do not need anybody to tell you what to do immediately. Do you know what has happened within this few days this brc20 bot  launched on bitcoin chain network?
These kind of situations sometimes do not even need public opinion on to voting or not. What is required is just immediate actions to stop whatever that has been unleashed to cause that  backlogs.

Today I read a news on Twitter and it looks like the Bitcoin devs want to cancel ordinals
Canceling the ordinals protocol or whatever they call themselves is not a bad idea. It is what I called doing the needful to save the whole. If they decide to do take that decision so be it as it is for the benefit of all.
Please do well to reference or cite your source since you said you read from a news.

Also is it advisable to start receiving Bitcoin payment straight to your exchange? What disadvantages comes with doing so?
I do not really think there is any disadvantage attached though. It's only the network fee to pay if you can. Exchange are open to receiving payment but some you can not make withdrawal at the moment.  It is only just the backlog of payments onchain currently. My friend informed me that he received a payment that was  made since four days ago as a result of the backlog and transaction fees. The delay is damned obvious.
2151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Civil War on: May 10, 2023, 06:56:51 PM
Do you guys think I should email these bozos and tell them who's really behind the "war declaration?" 😂
I do not think it is necessary telling them who declared the war. This should be a good strategy to get them confused as to where the pressure is coming from so they do not know and channel the revenge and retaliation against you.
This is a good way of attacking the enemy. Let them never know it is coming from you while you sit and watch them fighting themselves.

Anyway, the point being, there are now two groups of (crypto) people: One group (us) who believe that Ordinals and BRC20 are spamming the network and action must be taken against them to preserve its usability

It is quite unfortunate what has happened the past few days.  The network congestion was something else. Very frustrating and dissappointing. If not spamming, I would have preferred it to be called BRC20 bot attack on bitcoin chain. It was very devastating that the delay caused a lot of set backs and backlogs of transactions to be confirmed coupled with the high transaction fee charges which did not go down well with bitcoin enthusiasts.
I support the motion for actions to be taken against the BRC20 bots before they overwhelm the whole system with their greedy and selfish interest.

If you cannot code, or draft Bitcoin documents,
Know that there are other bitcoiners like you fighting the word-battles over there.
Help them.

The battle line has already been drawn.  Either way, I believe bitcoin enthusiasts on Twitter are releasing their arsenals against them.
This is a good war to demoralizing them before hand and making them feel the pains they already caused verbally and through the social media outlets while the others carry on the war from the other zone.
"Ceteris paribus"
2152  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: blizz.io blatant scammers stay away on: May 10, 2023, 12:58:39 PM
Do you have the transaction id which can be checked and confirmed on the blockchain? That would provide your claim with a little more substance. Right now, I cannot say if their reason for closing your account is a correct course of action or not because I do not know their side of the story.

At the very least they should return your deposit but the lesson for you and everyone else to learn here is you must read terms and conditions when you sign up to any casino or gaming website and you must be prepared to still not have your funds released even after you send your KYC.

There are many scam websites that claim to be legitimate but they are a front designed to fool people in to sending their personal documents to them. I cannot say this is what is happening here but you should be careful.

they closed my account so i cant access i have proof of deposit

it's absurd to take all the player's deposit and winnings and give a ridiculous nonsense excuse

Very very absurd mate. How could they do such a thing to their new member, blocking and taking his funds away and not granting him access to his dashboard. It is very absurd indeed.

I think this is a lesson to be learnt by OP. Next time you will have to do some research and conducting due diligence before getting engaged with casinos. If you had checked trust pilot review then you would have had a little clue about the exchange but it is unfortunate that you did not do all these but was quick to get onboard and making deposit.
This is a lesson learnt and I believe next time you will have to go the right thing before trying to register on any of the casinos.

Do well to present all the necessary evidence as requested so that some forum members can take it up from there on your behalf.
2153  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yet another bitcointalk account seller on: May 10, 2023, 12:08:00 PM
How can someone just throw away such accounts at give away prices. It is either these accounts were hacked or otherwise if not what is the explanation for this activity or action. It is possible one wants to sell their account but not at this ridiculous peanut give away amount of a thing. This goes to tell you the motives behind this actions of theirs.

One needs to ask themselves series of questions before engaging in such deal.
Why must this owner put up these  accounts for sale in  such price looking at the service board with lots of open spots. Would it not have been alright for the seller to engage these accounts  in the campaigns so as to benefit from the system.

Although it is not right and encouraging and I would advise anyone going for such deal should be cautious about it as these accounts might likely have gotten a tag or flag.  Do well to request first to have access so you could be able to analyze the account to see if there is anything wrong with the account.

2154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: blizz.io blatant scammers stay away on: May 10, 2023, 03:54:35 AM
this is a scammer stay away after i was offered on forums to play at blizz.io i deposited and won then i asked to withdraw they asked me to verify my identity after i sent the documents for verification they closed my account and took all my money for a very absurd reason i really don't understand what is going on

this is the reason they give really I don't know anything they don't have any proof

OP i decided to quote you so that others could view your evidence, but what you have given as evidence is not enough to hold onto. So therefore, i would advise that you show us proof of transaction to claim you made deposited to your casino wallet, your winnings on the casino and other possible evidence to back your claims otherwise you would not be taken serious here.

Lastly, i would advise you to always do proper research on casino before engaging with them so as to avoid any unforeseen event such as this one in the nearest future. There are lots of casino well known with good reputation here you can as well do our research and findings abut them and do with any as it pleases you.
2155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: May 10, 2023, 03:35:47 AM
I was thinking about Bitcoin as a currency a lot lately and I have some doubts about how currently we see its future.

The problem is, in order for Bitcoin to become a currency everyone will use, it should be stable. I know that you might say that people will still use it because it's not about stability, it's about freedom and technology. I agree with that, but Bitcoin needs to be stable in order for people to treat it like money, and not like an asset.

Just look at what people are saying right now, experts say that people shouldn't hold USD because inflation is just 5% a year, but imagine if you have bitcoin that can go down like 5% a day because some whales sold it. It will be problematic for people to use it on a daily basis because of that.

I know that people say that when Bitcoin will be adopted, it should become stable because there is a limited amount of it, but I don't see how it's gonna happen. From what I see people treat bitcoin as an asset to invest and hold and I can't imagine that will change in the future.

Why do you guys think Bitcoin will really become the "money of the future" and people will actually use it like one?
From what I see, I think it's possible that people in the future will still trade bitcoin or try to buy as much of it as possible to manipulate the market.

The initial plan why bitcoin was invented was altered by whales who bought from panic sellers at the early stage. Since then it seems some set or group controls the market but not withstanding, Satoshi Nakamoto invented the bitcoin to stand in place of money whereby bitcoin would be used for daily transaction or payment for goods and services in our various locations.

Since the initial plans did not go well as planned, then whales resolved to turning it into an investment for which they succeeded as they have a big chunk of the coin in their possession and they decide what ever direction the market would hence the market volatility  and this is one of the beauties of the Bitcoin. It was never going to be stable because it was turned into store of value whereby one can use bitcoin to measure and store his or her assets online which made it the digital gold it is popularly known for and by the virtue of bitcoin being the first digital currency to have existed.

The market volatility allows for more investors to get hold of bitcoin there by increasing the numbers of holders since it is just 21,000,000 of it as total supply. The higher the holders of bitcoin the more it is in circulation and the possibility of price increment when the demand for it increases. At then every  little fraction of bitcoin would definitely count.

The idea of bitcoin been stable is not feasible because of  its nature and market demand.

How are you going to prevent the underage gambling?

How an underage person is going to buy bitcoin?

All the exchanges who accept fiat to buy bitcoin require KYC and if they see a minor the exchange is just going to close the account

I have seen adults get scam with P2P exchanges so the probabilities of an underage using a P2P exchange is low

Also is the responsibility of the parents to see what their child do online they can also be accessing adult sites
Well, you are very right, and I agree that it is indeed the duty of the parents to make sure of what their under-aged wards do online, personally, if not that the world we live in today have really changed, I don't see what or why an under-aged should even own a smart phone in the first place.

There are several under-aged gamblers in my area here, how do they buy bitcoin, or any other type of cypto? They simply register and pass kyc on the exchange using a document belonging to an older relative who is not into crypto, and this are the type of persons who always avoid casinos where kyc is mandatory,  so in as much as I agree with you, i think that question is very important.

By that same logic they can use the same older relative documents in a KYC casino

Also if a parent or an older relative let their kid use their credit card to buy bitcoin that parent should be asking questions or holding that bitcoin if the child said is for invest

OP, this question asked is very important. In as much as you are a KYC free casino atleast there should be some level of protection from allowing kids to get online gambling through your platform. How do you plan to handle that situation because there is no way you can say your casino is a free KYC casino and in the Long run you start noticing some suspicious activities and you would not hesitate to take actions in safeguarding your casino. I believe you must definitely request for it when such event occurs so therefore it is as good as you telling us fine we would request for a KYC when such is noticed rather than telling us about parental control over kids do you not know how smart and wise kids of this generation are?
Do well to answer that question?

We are KYC free always

The first line of protection is the KYC from the exchanges they can't just take their parents credit card and buy bitcoin and if they have a debit card the processor is not going to pass the transactions because is a card of a minor.

Is the parents responsibility what their child do online and i'm sure no parent in their right mind will give their child a passport without asking questions

OP, I understand your concern but that does not answer the question. If I may ask you, have you ever experienced your child playing smart on you? Sorry if this sounds odd as I do not know your marital status neither do I know your identity but it remains the truth. Let us say for instance a child tries everything possible to get bitcoin through P2P maybe from a friend or else where and succeeded in it, will you say this is a Crypto exchange they both it from? You have no idea and possibly can not really know where they bought it from even if you trace it, it still remains the same way OP. You really do not have clue on tackling this I guess.
Clearly, op has no concrete way in place to avoid under-aged gambling on betcrypto casino..
And because of this, I will personally believe that their "No kyc" policy is just temporary and a way for betcrypto to gain more customers, my prayer is that betcrypto will become a really big casino, by then, there is no way they won't change from a "no kyc" casino to a "mandatory kyc" casino 😂.
Cus there is no way one can operate a really big centralized casino with "no kyc" policy and not have regulators/gambling authorities come after you with full force.

No doubt mate. It has always been the normal way. At first, they say our casino is a no kyc casino with opening bonuses, then they get huge traffic that they can not control and after a while you hear them say we are running maintenance on our  facilities. After that they resume and they start getting deposit as a result of the no kyc policy and new comer bonuses. After playing and winning big then upon withdrawal they will tell you that your account looks suspicious and secretly they  have reviewed their kyc policy asking you to present some certain documents and if you try argue with them, they suspend or perma ban your account with claims that you were cheating and there is nothing anybody would do about it then you would know you have been tricked into a trap.  Grin Grin Roll Eyes

Someone register account here just to create thread about his win in unknown casino. And all his posts only in this thread. Come on, don`t think that everybody so silly... I even don`t need to visit this site to say that it is scam. The only thing i surprised that we don`t see referral link, but it means that the OP trying to scam us himself.
this is a free marketing technique commonly called spam promotion so made a thread about winning mentioning the site in question that there can earn as much money winning as he did, the OP is just a scam but seems misplaced that most people on this forum have recognized the way Promotions like this which in the end are fraudulent sites.

i am not accusing anything negative about this site but with the way sites like this are being promoted it is obvious that small casinos don't have the budget to do healthy promotions like having a signature campaign or creating good threads with a nice touch of graphic design will attract a lot of gamblers, usually the ones that do Promotions like this are just small casinos trying to make money the dirty way.

🤣🤣😂😂 OP thinks we can fall sheepishly to the tricks and gimmicks they had already orchestrated out. He thinks we would rush to make deposit because of that review of a Someone who made a deposit. I think they should sit up this time and do something meaningful instead of coming here to waste their dream.
I think OP should be called to order for wanting to promote a scam project that is not recognized here. If not, how can OP call the attention of members here to get registered on a platform because he deposited, played and win and was allowed to make withdrawal. What if others deposit play and get scammed what will OP say or do?
