2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: November 18, 2022, 04:35:21 AM
Some disturbing news coming from the DOTA2 arena with a deal being pulled back from TSM made alight earlier yesterday.
That was kind of expected after the disaster and the TSM players might have to wait a bit before they could remove the FTX part from their dota2 pro name since it's the off season.
There were some who had shirts with the logo during road to rio so I am imagining this will affect their deals with the now defunct exchange as well.
I didn't even notice that FTX was sponsoring a csgo team and throughout the tournament, the imperial jerseys are always the ones that catch my eye. Cheesy
Yeah, the TSM players can wait and they had the longest one of 10 years with the name but they had multiple deals in all the different esports leagues.
The team I couldn't remember was Furia, the hosts of the Intel Extreme Masters tournament in Brazil.
https://esportsinsider.com/2022/11/furia-cancels-ftx-sponsorship-after-crypto-exchange-files-for-bankruptcy

The company also were the official League of Legends championship series exchange partners.
"The deal immediately raised eyebrows from the esports community, as this announcement comes just months after LCS denied TSM from using FTX branding. Sources told Dot Esports that as part of the deal, Riot will have the ability to remove the branding from assets on applicable international broadcasts where cryptocurrencies are ‘strictly regulated.’
On the contrary, editing physical assets, such as logos on a TSM jersey, are not as plausible."

I already locked my bet on the under 42.5 and I hope they burn a lot of time each drive as the Titans' totals in their last 4 have gone under 40 points and one of those games was against the Chiefs. The head-to-head of these two teams is pointing towards the over but I can't take it since the defense of both teams have been doing well even though some sites have them at the bottom of the rankings.
I was watching the lines on this match since late last night and couldn't decide on who to go with.
But with the Titans only showing the running game and hence burning the clock is the more likely outcome of them not scoring very much, I went with the Packers.
The spread was 40.5 when I placed my bet so the under 42.5 pts is a good call to make.
Good luck to us both with our bets tonight!

2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc Are limited supply and people Are withdraw them from exchangers on: November 17, 2022, 11:06:35 PM

It seems to be stable at 20.000 until FTX. Panic sells thier BTC. There is still fear that BTC will fall because the contagion as they call it is still there. If it doesn't fall despite the next domino falling, I guess no one sells anymore but just those fraction that we see right now. Been observing for hours the biggest I saw on the orders was 0.5BTC.
Orders of 0.5btc are quite large for one trade. But in the environment that we are in right now, this isn't so surprising.
People want to get their bitcoin and any others coins off exchanges immediately from actions of the past week.
There is even a PSA on the top of the forums put up due to these series of events that wasn't there the last time I was on here at the beginning of the week.
Which exchange might I ask were you referring to with these sort of orders totaling 0.5btc per trade? They must be a regulated one because non-KYC exchanges have probably limited their withdrawal amounts from those events occurring.

With the Washington Commanders stunning the Eagles early this week the only undefeated team has been taken down.
It was eventually going to happen but by a team that wasn't doing too great was a shock to the Philadelphia fans and the NFL viewers for MNF.
Green Bay are doing the same and coming out of their slum and salvaged their season with a win in their last game.
Can they do the same tomorrow when they face off against a very good Tennessee Titans team?
If you think they can then why not place a bet on the match?
The odds look pretty good for the Packers in this game:

World's largest number of users on a platform according to this article of the most recent events which has garnering most of his attention from the number of tweets he has done within the past week.

Funny thing is that the former CEO of now bankrupt FTX offered to help in the acquisition deal of twitter with him.
Yet he did not have the capital on hand to do so.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: November 15, 2022, 10:34:26 AM
I also think that Furia can win this game without crowd help as they are in great shape and they are playing super aggressive CS:GO with mixed up rotations that a few teams are doing them. Game about to start so lets hope for some great CS:GO and maybe one map with Overtime  Cool
Somehow FURIA heard your wish  Cheesy and delivered an unlikely OT during the second map(Ancient) when they were down 15-5 but Heroic still came out on top pushing the series to a third map. I nearly thought Heroic was going to get swept but props to them for being resilient throughout the series. I hope they'll get the win in the grand finals later today since it felt like FURIA was their toughest opponent so far.
Watched that semi-finals match until half then thought they lost but it ended in overtime somehow.
Heroic took map 2 after that comeback from the Brazilians so it wasn't meant to be.
I did think they could do anything and would take the match in the finals but Outsiders were way too good and on point to let that happen.

I'm kinda lost for words. Furia tried everything and the crowd tried everything as well but Heroic on second map took things personally and start delivering high class CS:GO. The third map was even worse for Furia as they barely got 6 rounds where Heroic had Stavn with 24 K /  D/ 1 Assist ...that means he made 23 kills by himself without any help ...that's insane so massive congrats to Heroic for reaching the finals. Shocked
They got beaten 2-0 in the finals so it was no contest.
I had Heroic to take atleast a map but Dame & Fame were way too much on a roll to let anybody stop them.

Since they were playing in Brazil you can spot alot of Sportsbet.io shirts being worn by the fans.

From a closer look later on they look to be from Imperial but the shirts were worn throughout the tournament.
Good for Sportsbet to get exposure during a major of this size in a huge market that Brazil is for Esports.
2153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: thank god for bringing btc back in 2018. on: November 15, 2022, 10:12:59 AM
Fair price? there's no such fair price or fake price in Bitcoin since no one can control or manipulate it!

Actually with the recent event where FTX is bankrupt and the other exchange also got an impact if they hold FTT token, it doesn't effect Bitcoin price at all since it's about the exchange, not Bitcoin. But there's many stupid people who think Bitcoin isn't safe and then sold it blatantly, this make a short dump due to panic. Sooner Bitcoin would recover from this short dump.
With all the fallout from what had happened in the past week and recent news surfacing with all the fraud and buyouts of government officials whom still reside at their positions, I am quite surprised how it held up to all the selling pressure on the markets.
It got me really thinking on why things like this affected it's price in the first place.
These are exchanges of cryptocurrency and shouldn't be dependent on if they exist or not.

@ralle14 Nice to see you and welcome back. Unfortunately we both chose the wrong team to back in the Falcons.
On paper it looked like a good pick but of course like always there are factors that were at play and in this case it was the rain.
It was not a close game at all and the Panthers just ran all over Atlanta and Mariota which looked like a record sacking fest.

Today we have a treat with an early game in the NFL in about two hours from now in Germany for the very first time.
The Seattle Seahawk go up against Tom Brady and the Tampa bay Buccs in Munich:
https://www.nfl.com/news/2022-nfl-season-three-things-to-watch-for-in-seahawks-buccaneers-game-in-munich-

I will go with the Seahawks as it seems when I choose a team to win with all factors considered, the other one wins.

The final match of the Road to Rio tournament was a thriller with an major upset to Cloud 9 who were heavy favorites to go onto the finals.
They were upended in the final map by Mouz who were down 5-0 on map 3 but then won 8 rounds in a row and didn't look back.
Had all my 5+ multibets with Cloud 9 whom were 1.34x going in prematch.

Tom Brady has been found to have made a big mistake with investing in the now in trouble crypto exchange FTX with having spent the most on a Superbowl advertisement for crytocurreny.
https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nfl/news/tom-brady-invest-money-cryptocurrency/hkpzqvjx95pza7doqin6nzqi

https://cryptoslate.com/tom-brady-gisele-bundchen-investment-in-ftx

That being said the very same site cryptoslate also had an article where Brady wanted part of his salary to be paid out in Solana.
That cryptocurrency is posed to dump by alot when their crypto stake was due to be released after the epoch ended late last night.
And FTX held alot of it so expect a sell-off by them to recover what they had lost in the events which happened last week into this one.

Now let's get on with the lone match on Thursday night football the Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons.

^^
Yes but he had to end up hiring back the developers of the platform because an issue happened with the blue checkmarked accounts being able to change their names next to their profiles. A bunch of celebrities were doing this and mocking the new CEO of Twitter and he ended up banning them. It was in the news sometime over the weekend.
Just hollywood mellowdrama so not needing to post any link to it as it was just silly. But him not knowing how to get his own coders and employees to deal with the issue was funny.

Something that is not funny is this news about him flipping on the Democratic party and telling his twitter followers to vote for the other party:
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/musk-recommends-voting-republicans-us-midterm-elections-tweet-2022-11-07/

The midterm elections just ended a few days ago and they are still counting ballots.
This can swing the vote quite a bit since the margin is so close to call.
It can define what the political landscape looks like going into the next election for the next U.S president.
And you know the huge role twitter had in the last one. So this will be interesting with Elon Musk at the helm with a no censorship type person at the head of the largest platform in the world.

@Welsh & @Inwestour
I will agree with you both on all your very valid points on this challenge to Israel for this upcoming title defense.
As you both have probably already viewed the press conference last night you would probably have seen Pereira's mindset and know he is a very careful person in what he says and what he does.
But one thing is for certain, this fight will not go past the 4th round.
Both fighters want to end it as early as possible and if you had watched Alex's past fights since entering into the UFC you will notice he goes all out to knock out his opponent and not just running around and feinting around the ring like Adesanya does in his fighting style.
That will be my next bet for the fight not going the distance because the under 4.5 rounds are the exact same odds.
