2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: Diaz vs McGregor 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 22, 2016, 03:35:52 PM
I managed to watch the fight without getting spoiled. Luckly it was quickly available in piratebay in HD.

Now on the actual fight, Mcgregor probably won, but by a really, really, really small margin. As predicted, he played a very conservative game. Lots of knee shots at the beginning, and at the end he gassed out a lot, couldn't even breath, he ran from Diaz. Diaz is a thought motherfucker and wouldn't go down.
Overall an expected result, there was no way Mcgregor would KO Nate.
2142  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: August 22, 2016, 03:05:42 PM
If I have 10 btc then I will open a coffee shop with it and will also accept payment in bitcoins, that will eventually help people to get aware about bitcoins.
to me that is a good decision, through this people will get awareness about bitcoin they will also invest their money in bitcoin through this way the bitcoin users will increase and thus your fee business will also become profitable, i my self going to invest bitcoin in opening a currency exchange in our local area where i will also accept and exchange of bitcoin.

That's great and as an existing  users of bitcoin I think we should take initiative in spreading bitcoin to the people around us which will surely contribute to the higher adoption level.

how about open bitcoin vending machine ? like coca-cola vending machine or other drink ?
we can use mall as strategis place to make bitcoin more familiar, i think with 10btc we can have 2-3 pcs of vending machine.

That's a great idea but only thing comes to my mind is if people around us are not aware about the basics of bitcoin then how can we expect them to spend, and as business owner we also want some traffic to earn some profits.

The concept of "bitcoin bending machine" with an analogy of a coke machine makes no sense to me. It would need to be better described what does he exactly mean, because that to me sounds like a conventional ATM machine, so in this case you are not innovating into a new niche, you would be competing against already existing ATM machines.
2143  Other / Off-topic / Re: Old people earning bitcoins on: August 22, 2016, 12:22:47 PM
If you try to explain bitcoin to your friends of contemporary or similar age range than you, it is already a problem to make those people understand what bitcoin is about. Now, imagine trying to explain this to your parents, and imagine trying to explain this to your grandparents. Mission impossible. Sorry but this is too advanced for people to grasp, most people aren't wired to think outside the box. This is why we will all be rich here, we are ahead of the pack.
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The ‘Bitcoin Family’ One Year Later on: August 22, 2016, 12:09:01 PM
Good, let's just hope that in the future Bitcoin is used by every single person on earth. Right now, old people will never understand bitcoin and they are far from ever using it. The transition will take at least 20 years. By then 1 Bitcoin should be around 500k per coin since 5% of assets will have moved there. Young people holding BTC today will be rich as fuck.
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you like when gambling alone/ with your friend? on: August 21, 2016, 02:15:16 PM
Nobody knows that I like to gamble, I don't think it's a good idea to tell in public unless they are also into gambling, or in a situation like going to Vegas casino where everyone gambles casually.
2146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rio 2016 overall prediction and discussion on: August 21, 2016, 02:11:21 PM
I bet some bucks on Brazil vs Germany football for a win in favor of Brazil and won. It was pretty tense when Germany scored. I thought it was going to be easy money but it all ended in the last second with penalties.
2147  Other / Off-topic / Re: Old people earning bitcoins on: August 21, 2016, 02:05:50 PM
Most old people will unfortunately never own, not even understand bitcoin, because bitcoin is a thing for the next generation, for the kids that are being born using smartphones. Old people is too used to physical cash and bank accounts, so once the new generation is old Bitcoin will be huge. All those kids in Steam already know what bitcoin is, but they are too young to own any.
2148  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: August 21, 2016, 01:55:02 PM
for now I'm using it as an currency to buy some extras on the internet because I dont know where to invest it and I dont have any trading skills at this moment . hoping this year that I can use bitcoin as an investment so that I can have extra money to use in real life.  Grin
Lol I think if you do not know where to invest bitcoin and how much you want to invest I think you just need to hold the course in your bitcoin wallet and wait for prices to rise. you have to have is patience I'm sure you will benefit from this investment? why do not you try it?
Yeah if one doesn't have knowledge of trading and investment then the best thing is to hold them for future, no doubt holding will not grow your coins but if price goes higher in future you can earn good profits from it.

Yes, for a newbie who are new to bitcoin I think holding a great way to do. Because if they have long known bitcoin, then later they will also know about trading. Due trading requires knowledge and experience about the market analysis. hehe

But it is also going to be a good thing if a newbie is going to know how to use his bitcoin for real life as a currency for sure he is going to be encourage if he ever manage to use it as a currency. And of course at the same time it is also better if he is going to hold some of the portion of his bitcoin so that he can have his own investment.

There is no complexity in using it as a currency, they can use it wherever they want, but as a newbie they might not be aware that which is the right place to invest their coins.

Most people that get into bitcoin, do so because they think it will increase in value in the future. Most people treat Bitcoin as an investment and not as an actual currency, and that is ok. People should be free to do so.

Until the usage is more mainstream and people get paid in Bitcoin, it doesn't make much sense to pay with Bitcoin for most of the stuff out there when fiat is enough. Sometimes it is very useful for certain services, but most of the everyday stuff can be paid in fiat.
2149  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will you do if you own 21 BTC? on: August 21, 2016, 01:45:46 PM
I think investing all 21 btc in trading can be risky,  its better to invest only half of it and rest should be kept safe for future as you never know what will be the end result in trading.

I think using 10.5 BTC to trading is a large number. Yes, with a large capital profit trading is also getting nice but with it the risk of trading also higher. Because if you experience a loss, the loss is also doubled. Better to use only a few percent only. hehe

That's the right thing to do, invest some and save more for the future and if I have 21 btc then I would prefer to invest only 2 btc in trading, and if my luck favors me then I can make good profits even with 2 btc.

2 BTC is a great quantity to invest with for a small investor. You could have turned 2 BTC into almost 30 BTC if you bought ETC when it was cheap. Pretty crazy.

ETC will pump again and right now its cheap, but it will take some time, it's still a good investment/alt to hold.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Destroying Bitcoin is NOT Acceptable on: August 21, 2016, 01:42:35 PM
Oh wait, I just understood that you meant actually destroying Bitcoin as in sending the Bitcoin into irrecoverable addresses and whatnot. Well, this is a very simple answer: It's their Bitcoin and they can do whatever they want with them, including "destroying" them. It changes nothing. It actually makes the holder's bitcoin more valuable since the supply shrinks and therefore it becomes a more scarce item.
2151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Destroying Bitcoin is NOT Acceptable on: August 21, 2016, 12:59:45 PM
The people that wont to destroy Bitcoin implicitly give it legitimate and power since they are scared that it may become way too big to destroy, but the thing is that already happened, bitcoin is now too big to fail. Haters will suffer the consequences.

I won some easy money thanks to United States in basketball, they are a cashcow, its just like Mayweather in boxing, always bet for a win and you will most likely win. Of course there was a risk since Spain is really good too but USA is number one of all times in basketball.
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: Diaz vs McGregor 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 20, 2016, 02:25:23 PM
Damn I don't think I can stay late tonight to watch the fight live. Does anyone know a website where they upload the full fights? because its hell trying to fight the full fight stream after since they report for copyright so fast, also while you search for a link you get spoiled with the final result 40 times.
2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Phase 33 (federal reserve) on: August 20, 2016, 02:10:34 PM
Bitcoin will not become infected by goverment agendas as long as we have the core devs in charge. They have demonstrated that they are legit and some are cryptopunks that have been in the space before bitcoin existed. Guys like adam back are mentioned in the whitepaper by satoshi.

Bitcoin will resist as the last bastion of financial independence and attacks will only make it stronger.
2155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Megaupload + Bitcoins on: August 20, 2016, 01:43:59 PM
Kim Dotcom is full of surprises. I hope he knows what he's doing.
He is too loud with saying that the price will go up insanely high because of his project.

I prefer people to have the term 'Action Speaks Louder Than Words' in their mind when it comes to sharing details about their soon to be launched project.

Believe me, if the price doesn't go up as much as he has been tweeting about, and I'm sure it won't, then people will not take him serious anymore.

you speak true words. he has been talking a lot about the price and so on, but how much technical details on how he wants to achieve this do we have?

We have 0 technical details as far as I know, he only has mentioned "bitcache" and microtransactions, and has claimed to solve the block size war problem which is ridiculous to me since we have the best devs working on this, so I doubt he has done it to be honest, but we only can wait and see.

what he has said so far is more like a riddle and needs deciphering to understand. but he didn't say he is going to solve block size problem, he said bitcache is solving the scalability issue which is different i suppose.

Well he talked about solving the "bitcoin civil war" and this "civil war" is the small blockers vs the big blockers. To solve the so called "bitcoin civil wars" implicitly means that he has solved the block size issue which also means he solved the scalability issue, and that I need to see before I believe it.

2157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Run Bitcoin as a Tor Hidden Service on Ubuntu on: August 20, 2016, 12:45:44 PM
As far as I know, after 0.12 bitcoin core release to run bitcoin core under TOR all you need is to open tor browser, and then open bitcoin core, and automatically everything will be done for you including automatically created hidden service and you are already running bitcoin under tor... so why would even need a guide?
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two things are certain: Bitcoin and Taxes on: August 20, 2016, 12:40:41 PM
I doubt many of you care at this moment what Bitcoin is capable of achieving.

Most likely one of the most efficient automated taxation schemes on planet Earth.

I believe many of you gamblers and builders of the Bitcoin ecosystem haven't paid a dime yet to any of your local governments (that require them).

It's starts with voluntary taxation (exchange fees and transaction fees) but just wait until just the right "Federal Reserve" type coin gets released and fully adopted.

Then be prepared to repeat history as you breathe life into the new "State of Government".

Easy money comes at a large price.

Nothing in life is free.

Are you ready to sell your seed right up the river?

So quick to lay a brick on a building that should be condemned?

WHEN LARGE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ADOPT BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IT IS BECAUSE THEY SEE ABSOLUTE UNTESTABLE POWER.

The animals start the engine and then they show the world how bad you are mucking it up then they take it over.

It's that simple.

Bagged, tagged, and taxed.

You are not getting the full picture. Just because "federalgovermentcoin" gets released, doesn't mean people will stop supporting bitcoin, to the contrary, bitcoin will be even a stronger niche for those that want to escape government control potentially pushing the price to the actual moon , so please don't talk nonsense and think next time.
2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Does it have a POSITIVE IMPACT on your life? on: August 20, 2016, 12:06:31 PM
Im sure the super early adopters are eternally grateful to satoshi nakamoto for making them multimillonaires in a very short period of time. We the early but not so early adopters will have to wait 10 more years to retire thanks to BTC since the mainstream is stupid and will take years to push the price to the moon.
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do any people gamble under the age of 18? on: August 19, 2016, 06:35:02 PM
If you can consider poker a form of gambling, then yes, a lot of people under 18 play poker. When I was in high school a lot of people played and a lot of people would have loved to know that bitcoin exists to gamble without needing to ask for permission for their parents. This is another reason why bitcoin will be huge in the future. You can play poker for any amount of money without any permissions as well as play any other casino game you want regardless of age.
