2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stories about lost Bitcoin on: April 16, 2023, 05:41:04 PM
There are several stories of people who lost their Bitcoins, accumulated on the early years of cryptocurrency. Since BTC was cheap back then, they didn't give much importance or attention to their wallets and consequently lost what on those days represented few bucks of dollars, but ended becoming millions of dollars in our present days.

Man has two more chances before $232 million is lost forever

Man who threw away €150m in bitcoin hopes AI and robot dogs will get it back

Man Searches Through Landfill For 8 Years For $350 Million Lost Bitcoin Wallet

Now these people are desperate to recover what was lost and regretful for their negligent, careless behavior. If they had believed Bitcoin's potential since the beginning, they would have acted in a different manner, without any doubts. The lesson I take from this is to never be a scornful person.
2142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: April 16, 2023, 04:58:03 PM
The philosophy of investing in Ethereum is that the money that flows into Bitcoin and when there is not much volatility, a lot of that money goes to alternative currencies in an attempt to make a quick profit.
always when Bitcoin rises, and after several hours have passed, there will be a parallel rise of Bitcoin, and it is rarely higher than Bitcoin.
Therefore, expert traders are the only ones who benefit from this.
Money flows into Bitcoin, then the search for cryptocurrencies increases creating more demand, so developers from this industry launch their own tokens to profit from the hype. Since they prefer using an existing chain (which is simpler and faster), they go for ETH, which is the most popular one. So we see Ethereum maintaining its status on crypto universe on the top 2.

The only way ETH could be overcome would be through the popularization of another chain. Many have already tried, but none have achieved surpassing Ethereum so far.
2143  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 16, 2023, 04:47:46 PM
He is a serious player, and if he continues like this, he has a great chance to win the Lambo in one of the next rounds. I am personally thinking of becoming a Premium user and taking advantage of everything that this possibility offers - and as for WOF specifically, are the spins also received by e-mail or are they available on the website? I ask this because I saw that some members accumulate them, and somehow it does not seem to me that it would be practical through links that would come via e-mail.
If you are willing to become a premium user I suggest you to start with the 12,500 FUN package, because it's the most cost efficient one.

When you start accumulating spins from the premium program they appear like this on the top of your freebitco.in's faucet page:

Once you click "Play them here!" you have the alternative of spinning all at once, or spinning one at a time.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About football betting on: April 16, 2023, 03:55:59 PM
but with football it is different, your bet is on the performance of a soccer team and the gambling platform will only win your money if your football team loses, right?
Not exactly. Your bet is on the game's result, what doesn't necessarily mean the most skilled team is going to win, since luck is also a decisive factor in sports matches. Let's say team A control the whole game (more possession, shootings, free kicks), however it might take only one chance for team B to score a goal and keep it for the rest of the game.

So even if you are a specialist on sports, more specifically soccer, there are still chances you are going to predict it wrongly.

But yes, the house only profits from gamblers who lose their bets.
2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: April 15, 2023, 02:54:19 PM
Rumors are not always rumors, they are sometimes social experiments to see what people think. If they react positively to such a silly plan they could move ahead with it otherwise they could think twice, for example.
Yes, and Elon Musk is an expert on this matter. I don't doubt these rumours could have come from him just to see what people think about the idea and how the market reacts towards it.

In this case I'd say this is absurd because there is no reason for a "social media" platform to become also a trading platform. Not to mention that the Twitter owner Musk, is known for his attempts at market manipulation and this may be another desperate attempt at gaining an influence on the altcoin market again.
It can be another strategy from Musk to not leave the trending topics of daily news on the internet. Each new week there is something new involving this guy on the news: it can be a joke, a crazy plan or any other bizarre thing that will bring him views, popularity and profit.

Anyway, Twitter becoming an exchange platform would only work if he were able to offer competitive rates with rival exchanges. People wouldn't use it just because it's Twitter or because it belongs to Elon Musk. With so many exchanges nowadays, I think it's a risky business to venture into.
2146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Times When Casinos Will Ask Certificate That You Are A Responsible Gambler on: April 15, 2023, 02:19:15 PM
The reason why the government will implement this, as a precaution, is to protect people from losing their wealth and their health from too much gambling because of addiction, it's a way of protection.

The government would never do that, they act like the care while they don't, those casinos will lose customers if this get implemented and that'll be bad for business, if there's no business then the government don't get paid.

The casinos are one of the businesses that the government get taxes from because they're actively making profit. The government won't want to lose that tax revenue. The casino aren't responsible for your addiction too.

You should be able to control yourself and only bet with money you can afford to lose, if you can't handle your addiction then quit gambling and look for other ways you can make money or entertain yourself that isn't gambling.
I think it depends on the government we are talking about. Keep in mind the more centralized a government is, more bureaucracy and regulations they like creating and enforcing, because after all, it generates more jobs' spots for new regulators on the public administration, what allow the government to employ their campaign's supporters (working as a reward for the support and votes received to win the polls).

The theory presented by OP is an interesting one, and I don't think it's totally impossible to happen for real. It will depend on the course modern society or some countries in particular take from now on.
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is racist on: April 15, 2023, 03:41:37 AM
Lol, Bitcoin is the most democratic investment I'm aware about. It's very simple to start investing and it's opened to everyone who has some bucks on their pockets and minimal internet knowledge. I understand when regulators talk about the risks of investing in crypto assets, due to the volatility, lack of security offered by centralized exchanges and the high volume of hacks and scams, but to say Bitcoin is racist it's already too exaggerated.

Actually, it makes these authorities lose their reputation, because it's really ridiculous to make such statements which everyone is tired hearing about. Moreover, it's a blatantly excused used nowadays by people who don't have any other valid argument against the object they are trying to detract towards the public.
2148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dumping ground on: April 14, 2023, 08:19:34 PM
The hotcake has been always Bitcoin. Since you are complaining about being a victim of altcoins' scams and falling for false promises, I believe you should go through a safer route with your investments in cryptocurrency, and the safest route is Bitcoin, without any doubts.

Otherwise, if you continue playing around with altcoins, in an attempt to be lucky guy to pick the right one that will boost your earnings in x100, x1000 overnight, it's certain you are going to continue falling for such scams over and over again!
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout money on: April 14, 2023, 05:59:18 PM
Due to KYC policy, someone should only sign up at a casino if they are able to provide personal documents to prove their identity. At least, you sign up at a casino aware that the possibility of being asked to provide such informations do exist and are likely to happen at some point. To rely on "luck" to cashout funds without provinding personal data or to use documents from other people (consequently commiting a crime of ideological falsehood) is never an alternative. OP, if you have involved in such activities, stop it now, it's never too late to change your behavior for the better...
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are lotteries really a good way to engage with gamblers? on: April 14, 2023, 03:35:45 PM
My suggestion is when you want to announce the winner, it's better if you have a livestream during pick the winner. So anyone will know if the winner is picked randomly and not scripted due to lack of transparency.
Noted. Maybe we also should make a livestream for our Lambo lottery...

Till that moment it seems that the audience's appeal to lotteries is 50/50
It's also good to have other parties auditing the result of the lottery during live, with this the bettors can assure the fairness of the result.
I'm not into lottery but if I find this more interesting, then I think its worth to try. You just have to input every details and be clear with the terms and conditions so the bettor will not be confused and will not complain about the system of this site. Good luck on this project, looking forward for other updates.
I think audit is the perfect solution for online lotteries. By using a trustful software to pick the winner, plus displaying the draw in real time through a live transmission, I think many gamblers who are hopeless and doubtful about online lottery may consider start betting on it once again. If this casino achieves doing this, like they said, other casinos may adopt the same idea on their businesses as well.

Transparency is a very important factor, which can boost gamblers' will and interest for a game in particular exponentially.
2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 14, 2023, 01:49:04 PM
1. always set a budget for playing slots and stick to it. do not chase losses or try to win back what you have lost by playing more.

7. avoid getting "slot psychosis" where you get stuck on one machine for too long. remember that slots are based on random chance and there is no guaranteed way to win.
so, take breaks, switch machines and remember to have fun!

8. first check the RTP (reward to player) and RTP should between 96%-100%

These are the most important points mentioned by OP that slots players should be aware about. By following these steps gamblers can avoid severe losses, understand how the game works, while increasing their winning chances by playing at machines which have superior RTP rates.

I believe other points mentioned have more to do with superstition, contiguity relations, instead of practical, factual events that could really influence the gameplay of a gambling session.
2152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: April 13, 2023, 11:20:51 PM
I read some comments and I saw how many people belief in this prophecy, has anyone seen something like this before. What do you believe?
Where is the video? Who are these people who believe a lunatic woman predicted a shitcoin like SHIB which has huge supply is going to hit 50$ per token? That is mathematically impossible to happen and such predictions are already trepassing the limits of insanity, as are the fools who fall for these "prophecies", although I believe in this case it's so absurd that nobody really takes it seriously. Even a fanatic wouldn't believe this woman.
2153  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 13, 2023, 06:38:11 PM
i am weak at economy, is it wise decision to use credit card?
It depends. You have to weight on each transaction what is more worthful: to pay with your debt card having access to a sweet discount or to pay with your credit card acquiring points that can be redeemed later for more purchases and rewards. Sometimes it will be more interesting to use a credit card, especially nowadays with so many advantages and promotions for its customers.

However, if we are talking about someone who can't manage his expenses properly, I would say credit cards are a big no and should be totally discouraged, because it's going to become a snowball of debt after a while... A hint I can give is that always you open your bank account, you immediately subtract the next credit card's bill amount from your total balance. That will be the real sum of amount you have to spend, and nothing else.
2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: April 13, 2023, 06:00:31 PM
1 satoshi or 1 bitcoin if you keep them in your wallet and Hold then you are already an investor because you are trusting the coin and this market , and about the knowledge , there are different people who invests in bitcoin , some are those who have deep knowledge but there are also others that just trust this because of what they  believe , this is investment world in which for 10 years and more now are serving people with decent income(of course those who trust this coin)
What differs one investor from another is just their size and relevance on the market. While some are small investors, others are average and there also the big investors, the whales, who have great influence on the market and can impact the prices positively or negatively with their buy or sell orders.
But in the end, all of them are Bitcoin investors who have put their hopes and expectations on it with the maximum sum of money they could afford.

Knowledge is another thing and isn't required in order to become a Bitcoin investor. Many investors don't know how Bitcoin works, its history or technical elements, but they still hold some satoshis or even some bitcoins on their personal wallets thinking on long term returns.
2155  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 13, 2023, 04:41:29 PM
I'm still waiting a correction in Bitcoin's price to use my WoF's spins, so the base prize returns to 50 satoshis. It might be a risky decision, because there are chances Bitcoin remains stable on the currently price range, becoming 30,000$ its new support level, and potentially reaching even higher price levels on the upcoming months, what would decrease WoF's prizes even more yet. However, I'm not willing to profit less 10 satoshis base reward on every spins.

If I have to collect and stake more than 1000 spins by there, that is what I'm going to do.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 13, 2023, 04:11:33 PM
~snip~
Even how much it would be developed, there's still no way that it could really be able to make precise predictions due to factors which cant really be read up with any AI no matter how advanced it would be.
There are things which cant really be touched up by technology advancement not matter how good it is on other aspects but in speaking about future results and other correlated things
then it would be an another story. It is really just we should accept that AI couldnt touch up betting area or something that do talks about predictions and future events
which are bound to happen.

The more information you have about a random event, the more certainty you can get about the prediction.

For example, if you just toss a coin, it's 50% heads or tails. But if you know the starting point of the coin, the force applied, the wind conditions, etc, then you can start to get better at the estimation and predict that it will be heads 60% in that particular throw for example, and the more you know, the better you can estimate that. Also, the closer you are to the event, the better the estimate is, so just before you reveal the coin, the model might already know if it's heads or tails.
Totally! It's unanimous: the more deets we gather, the more we nail those event predictions. Cause and effect, am I right? The deeper we delve into the causes, the more we anticipate the fallout.

But hold up, did you ever mull over the sheer volume of data we need? Hunting for that elusive needle in the haystack ain't easy! We may be swimming in data, but if it's off-point or chaotically arranged, we're practically in the dark. It's all about nailing that perfect data and decoding it like a champ.

Fascinating how our accuracy soars as we close in on the event, huh? Picture standing on a precipice, edging closer, and suddenly we see more of what lies beneath. A downright poetic ode to the force of data in the prediction game.
The variables and probabilities are too many to reach an accurate prediction. AI can analyze past and present events, but it can never analyze the future, that is constantly ahead us and starts from the next thousandth of second you are reading this on.

Considering the toss a coin example, what if the wind suddenly changes on the moment you drop the coin, what if the force applied isn't executed as previously done or expected? The fact is that AI can't oversee the future, and that would be the only way this technology could be applied predicting outcomes efficiently.
2157  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: April 12, 2023, 09:24:58 PM
How did you survived the asshole pandemic disease (covid19)?  Where you sore afraid? How you deassociate with people? How did you get something to eat?
Well, to say the truth, for me it wasn't a hard time and I'm thankful to God about that. I didn't lose people close to me due to the disease, I didn't feel annoyed by the loss of contact with other people (since I already lived on this condition even without Covid pandemic). The only negative side was to control expenses more strictly. To purchase only the necessary to eat and survive, as we didn't know how long that was going to take and what would be the long term consequences, financially speaking.

So we didn't order food from restaurants, we didn't eat special dishes... And thinking more carefully I think it's not something I can complain about, because there were people in much worse situations. I have only to be thankful for everything!
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ridiculous Bets that disappointed you on: April 12, 2023, 08:08:14 PM
There is nothing more disappointing than losing 3 times in a row with more than 90% winning probability. That was really hard to accept for me, because I was so confident about the result being positive that I risked a decent sum of money in vain. I felt shocked on the moment and thought it couldn't be possible to be true, but that is how gambling works and the more you try to deny this fact, more money you are going to lose until going completely broken.

So, never try to overcome the house, doesn't matter how disappointed or angry you are at the currently moment. This way you can still left the table with some dignity and money on your pockets.
2159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Viable Alternative to Fiat Currency on: April 12, 2023, 07:14:58 PM
Is Bitcoin BTC viable alternative to fiat currency and traditional banking systems? Examining the advantages and disadvantages of crypto, its adoption rates, and the challenges it faces in achieving widespread use as a medium of exchange and store of value.  Huh Huh
It could be viable if a considerable portion of world's population were willing to replace fiat, however that is not the case. Theoretically it could work, but in practice things are a lot more complicated and doesn't happen as expected.

Bitcoin will remain as an asset and side currency, that is my guess. At same time that isn't a bad thing since the demands keeps high and increasing cycle after cycle. We can't be greedy to hope Bitcoin has to rule the world to consider mission accomplished.
2160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 12, 2023, 03:13:18 PM
Have you ever had the same experience ? What did/would you do ? Please share your opinions.
Yes, many of us have already faced this situation exactly like yours in crypto universe. The most important thing is to avoid similar mistakes futurely.

In your case, that is to be careful with speculators like Elon Musk who has already lured many investors into losses. This DOGE logo on Twitter's incident we saw days ago, was expected to turn into what you described above.

Next time don't get too excited about following Musk's steps on investments. And always invest aiming long term results, while avoiding shitcoins such as memecoins.
