2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 21, 2022, 04:11:53 PM

I can't see an option. - bad gambler.
I am a bad gambler -I have lost so much money in gambling and in lending - people have fooled me like crazy. I repent on being misused by the people.

Sometimes we really have to cut ties with people who are only taking advantage of us because they will pull us down. I've learned that through my experience for years. I've also given too much favor to people around me but I ended up losing everything I had. You might haven't been too lucky in lending and gambling but at least life taught you a lesson.
And that is the most important thing right there because now you're much more experienced person, practically speaking, don't get yourself in casinos because you already know that it is not your kind of thing and you're not lucky with it and only do gambling when you're just seeking an entertainment so that you can always call it a day anytime you wanted.
Friends can be a lot but there is only few of them is real and we can really rely when we need them, we should know to cut them because they are not helping nor lifting us to be a better person. They will be just present when we have everything but we when we don't have anything to offer, we cannot find them because that is the harsh truth of life (speaking from experience).
2142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 20, 2022, 08:42:12 PM
That's why there are online casinos where you can deposit cryptocurrencies and that's making things easier. You won't be a subject for KYC at the beginning until you are required to do so when you're hitting and winning big.
a common way of gambling sites to scam players , its just not obvious but the truth is? this is scam because why imposing the KYC when hitting big wins considering that the players constantly depositing and withdrawing for long time but eventually requiring KYC because they are looking for a chance for them not to get their money.
Casinos do that to prevent gamblers who win big money from withdrawing those winnings. By all means, they will force KYC on those gamblers and we know that they have successfully blocked many accounts of such gamblers. But I believe a reputable casino will not do that and if a gambler wins a lot of money, maybe they will still allow it because there is nothing suspicious about that gambler. But for a scam casino, I don't think they will because they don't want to see any money coming out of their site.

The casino will try all methods they know to keep attracting more gamblers, especially those who do not have much experience depositing more money to their site.

That is what I'm trying to say in almost threads about KYC that I bumped here in this forum, casinos are truly taking advantage of KYC to avoid clients from withdrawing the funds after winning big. I have thought of reasons why they are frequently introducing KYC even if it's clear that we've deposited to their site from time to time, first is that they just want us to bring those winnings to their site again by playing games and second is that they just don't want to withdraw our winnings to spend it on some other things that we wanted, as you said.
I agree, reputable casinos won't do this after having a history of deposits on our account.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 20, 2022, 08:06:59 PM
I don't know if some people prefer play/fake money to avoid losing real money. For me, using fake/play money on gambling apps is not boring but there are times that I spend some real money to buy fake/play money though only a small amount of real money. So for me, it is not the best alternative to avoid not losing money but it does help to avoid losing how much you lose in a gambling site with real money.
Agree, If gambler knows that he will not get anything from this bet definitely the gambler will not play the game or bet. I realize that they just play or gamble due to making money. If it is absent or unlikely to be available then no gambler would be encourage to use it.

First of all, if an app is not receiving or giving any real money like a real casino then that said app cannot be called as one of gambling app that existed because gambling refers to the use of real money and not fake ones. Also, I really do bet that gamblers are not inclined of using these apps even if the reason is to test a technique that they could use in real gambling where there is real money of course and the same goes for gamblers who are trying to quit the said activity because that will not really benefit them nor help them quit.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 20, 2022, 07:35:14 PM
Just like Ryan Garcia, he had some tune-up fight before the big fight, so this is probably the same because, in order for Lopez to challenge the champion, he should achieve a good ranking to be a mandatory challenger. I believe he will not be having a hard time achieving it, it only take a little time.

For a long time, weak opponents were selected for Garcia in order to raise him in the rankings, I'm still interested in seeing him fight with a worthy opponent.
If you read this topic, you get the impression that two equal opponents will fight, but if you even look at the odds of the bookmakers, it becomes clear that Campa just has no chance against Lopez. It's clear that Lopez needs to first adapt to the new category and try his hand at weaker opponents before fighting with champion.

And Ryan Garcia has successfully delivered a KO victory to his fans against Javier Fortuna who clearly didn't expected the kid's speed and power and while he's been interviewed by Chris Mannix of DAZN, we can really see how happy Oscar De La Hoya with the result and he was even happier when Garcia made a statement and called Tank Davis for a fight because that would really mean more money for Oscar.

Anyway back to this fight, the same motive. This match has the aim of preparing Lopez for a much heavier name or champion-caliber that will be his opponent soon in the industry, the only difference is that Pedro Campa is not the kind of boxer like Tagoe that Ryan Garcia has faced.
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 20, 2022, 06:57:39 PM
Harden will be 33 this August and after 2 years, he might be leaving his prime and his body will start to deteriorate and will be slower. If Harden is that desperate to win a title, he must do it in the upcoming season or next season or his chances to win will decrease. Harden's performance in the Sixers last season isn't the same as he is in Houston or even in Brooklyn. I hope that him and Embiid will be a good duo now that they have more time playing together and I hope both of them will not get any injuries because both of them are injury-prone.

The addition of Tucker is good actually because he is a good defensive player and a decent three-point shooter.

Harden has already been out of his prime for at least two seasons. In addition, his performance in the past playoffs was one of the worst in his career. By the way, it seemed to me Embiid was also disappointed in Harden, given that Joel said that Harden is no longer the same as he was in the Rockets. Anyway, it will still be interesting to see if Harden is able to improve his performance and win the first title next season or not.

I cannot really say that he's been out of his prime because he is still at the right age to do the same performance, it's just that he's now unable to do what he used to because NBA changed the rules because of the way he plays. For me, it was quite unfair to change it because NBA is not about all talent and sometimes it requires more IQ to outsmart the talented ones.
But yea, the rule has already changed. Harden needs to move on and do all the things he can improve because he is now on a team that could bring him his first ever championship ring that he wanted since then. Let's just give the man a chance before we conclude that he was already out of his prime.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we gradually approaching towards the end of Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2022, 09:13:47 PM
With the continuous downslide of the Bitcoin and the crypto market at large, is it too soon to say that we might likely be witnessing the end of it all?

Yes, it is too soon to say.  This isn't the first time Bitcoin had a huge crash.  Every 4 years Bitcoin is experiencing this bear market and it often drops to 20% of its current ATH.   If you zoom out the Bitcoin Market chart, you will see that the market is very far from being over and still in a positive trend in reference to its beginning.
Apparently, bitcoin is currently experiencing a price surge so believing that bitcoin will come to its end is always a fake news. Bitcoin has never survived its existence for a decade combatting all the negative attacks if it will only fall as easy as this. Of course, we can always expect for a price crash if the market is in deep bearish, but once it starts to recover, then bitcoin will also start to show its progress and price starts to skyrocket too.
2147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: July 18, 2022, 08:13:44 PM
We should think more about the risk of having all your investments in one single portfolio, such as bitcoin. Bitcoin happens to be the most reliable cryptocurrency for investment but at the same time, Bitcoin is a highly volatile asset. So I will still advise you to diversify your portfolio into multiple sources.

I think he's just talking about bitcoin and other altcoins in the crypto space. It isn't wrong to put all of your money into bitcoin without using altcoins, which is something that a lot of newbies do not do.

Diversifying a portfolio from multiple sources is essential, cryptocurrencies are not a 100% safe environment and will always generate profits. So we will also have to invest in other areas besides cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin is a good choice for safe and profitable long term investment but knowing the market is highly volatile, that makes bitcoin price too prone to fall. So if its hard for you to see bitcoin price consistently fall, as well as with the rest of altcoins, then diversifying your investments through stocks, real estate, or bonds may also be a good choice. At least, when one investment falls, you still have other sources of investment to generate profits.
2148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roller coasters!!! on: July 18, 2022, 07:44:05 PM
Whales have no control over it during the bearish market. It's not the whale but the global economic has been pushing people to dump their tokens and exchange it to the cash or fiat money to keep their value from the volatility. You must also aware if there are some crypto companies that already collapse and even venture capital like 3ac was also going bankrupt as well. That proves that if the world is not yet fine for now. The roller coaster may still continue if another bad news will come very soon. prepare yourself.

Well, we should have known in the first place that the whole crypto market is like a roller coaster, one time they're up, the next they fall down. And volatility keeps it from doing so. However, there are big whales that come to take advantage when the market is especially bearish, but they have no control when the market turns into deep bearish since its the worldly events that gets to influence the market more. When there are inevitable negative events that are happening in the market, expect that the market will follow a roller coaster moves.
2149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can trading be likened to gambling and how so? on: July 17, 2022, 09:28:48 PM
Trading (can be the same with investing) being gambling or not will completely depend on the person if he/she is actually making informed decisions or are just going at it haphazardly. Trading is obviously far closer to gambling though, due to short-term movements being A LOT more unpredictable.
Trading and gambling are closely related but they are not totally alike. While gambling mostly end up in losing, regardless if you are a pro or not, losses will always be inevitable. However, trading becomes more like gambling too if you only trade without setting a target. Its like you only trade because you feel so, because you think the market is good to trade, but without good market analysis and real strategies to gain, your trading will always end up like gambling.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: July 17, 2022, 08:58:09 PM
Well, that's not surprising. Good deals are made by buying cheap, and now is a time when Bitcoin is cheap. We can't know i the next few months it could go lower, I wouldn't rule it out, but we are definitely in a clear buy zone if you plan to hold bitcoin for the long term. Uninformed retail investors usually do the opposite: they bought above $60-69k and sold recently.
Well, if you want to stay longer in crypto market like all those strong hands do,  then always follow their movement in crypto. And right now, strong hands are taking advantage on the market while bitcoin price is certainly cheap. Indeed, this is a time for accumulation while seeing the market value continue to drop. However, not all have managed to endure the pressure and stress, others are tempted to sell at a loss.
2151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: don't be fooled by titles. on: July 17, 2022, 08:13:26 PM
The article Fivestar4everMVP just caught my attention as well.
This is a warning to all investors, especially newcomers, not to trust anyone when involved in the cryptocurrency industry. Always be wary of airdrops or free rewards from a certain stranger regardless of whether it is a member of the project or even the CEO of the project. Always verify airdrops or strange links by sending them to the project's official telegram channel so that everyone can verify their transparency.

Additionally, we should use the new wallet instead of the wallet where we store our assets to participate in the airdrop.
In this type of business, money is at stake so as much as possible we should learn to take caution in everything we do. Be wary not to open private links as it could lead to scamming, and yes send it to the official group you belong so they can warn you if ever its a red flag. And learn not to fully trust anyone but only yourself. Scamming is now becoming a norm, so we should learn to protect our account, our funds as much as we can.
2152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The cryptocurrency market is currently a hot spot for whales. on: July 16, 2022, 09:45:00 PM
Whales simply use it as a playground. Even if there is a crash, you cannot rely on price movements. When there are liquidations for longs and shorts, the market takes a big swing to screw as many people as possible.
That’s how big whales in the market played their game. They even shake the market more so that all weak hands will be threaten and start selling all their coins. And that’s how these wise whales in the market start buying their coins and take advantage on the low prices. If all investors will follow the strategies of these whales, then the whole market will be filled with millionaires, as whales can be deceptive to others because that’s how they can gain their advantage.
2153  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do we spot the crypto bottom? on: July 16, 2022, 09:23:45 PM
Hi

Been wondering how to tell we have reached the crypto bottom? have we already bottomed out(I personally don't think so im not sure). If we look at the current world financial system - it looks dire. surely this will all have a impact on people investing in crypto and when funds are short, may even withdraw their investment.

Personally, because of the state of the financial system, I cannot see how crypto can become bullish as long as the world economy doesn't show signs of a recovery . I could be wrong though ?

what are your thoughts on this? Is a further crash on the horizon?
The market has not recover yet and crypto prices are still declining. Well, what can we expect from a bearish market than to see everything in the market falling apart. And assume that the whole market will even face future crashes if the bear market remains. But regardless how deep the market right now, still we can’t predict the bottom of this price declining. The crypto market remains unpredictable as it is.
2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 16, 2022, 08:58:18 PM
How low would Bitcoin have to fall before it was no longer recoverable?

Price, in my opinion, would not dictate this. It would have to be something that would destroy the foundation and system on which it is built.

what you say?
Once bitcoin will no longer be significant, for whatsoever heavy reasons, I guess it’s price too will eventually show decline. But witnessing bitcoin’s existence more than a decade, what is certain to me is that even how huge the impact of the FUDs or news that hit bitcoin, it always stands firms and recover in every price downfall. Although no one holds the future of bitcoin, but I am quite confident that its value will continue to grow along with time.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 16, 2022, 12:18:44 AM
Before the OP lock the thread:

Donnie Nietes To Continue Forward, Reacts To Loss in Ioka Rematch.

Quote
“I lost the fight on points, and I felt that Ioka did not want to try and deliver a knockout win for his fans and was just happy to win the fight on the scorecards,” Nietes told Probellum.com

“I was not able to put as much pressure on Ioka as I would have liked.  I was waiting for Ioka to move in and throw his shots, so that I could hit him with my big counters, but it didn’t happen often enough.

"I was defeated but, without question, I can still fight for word titles again.”

So it seems that Nietes is looking forward to continue his boxing career. I don't know if this is a good idea, but only him can answer that. As far as his performance, it seems that Father time has really catch up with the former champion though.

Yes, he is still looking forward to have some fights and if he really that dedicated then it has to happen this year because time is really on his side. I know that he could still do some of it but his words will not sum up on how he moved during the rematch, it just that Ioka has learned that is why the Japanese fighter doesn't throw some punch to have some exchange because Ioka definitely knows that Nietes could still give some good punch.
We will see if Probellum can match someone to the former champion.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 15, 2022, 11:34:15 PM
I think that a gambler that plays with fake money will end up playing with real money.

Otherwise I don't think those fake money apps would exist. They basically use those apps to attract people that haven't gambled with real money yet.
I don't see any sense in playing with fake money. That will only be another form of temptation for gamblers who are trying to get rid of gambling. That's right, if they will play using fake money there's a huge possibility that they will switch to real money later on. It will be better for gamblers who have fallen for gambling addiction to totally avoid any gambling apps whether it promotes using real money or fake.

Yes, that makes sense. In other way, these apps doesn't help at all because these said apps will only fuel the fire to give these gamblers more motives to switch into the real deal where they could have a chance to earn money or lose money. I get what is the purpose of these apps and that is to help the gamblers, the motive is there but the deed is wrong because gamblers are only interested in real deal with real money and certainly it is not the activity what they want but the result.
These are some way of making a person get into gambling. As said, every application have got its purpose. Play money doesn't interest people to spend much time, but this will trigger people to move into real gambling. In other words this is like a platform to test ourselves the knowledge we have in gambling and to experiment different strategies that are being used in gambling.

Exactly, these apps will just worsen the situation because they would give the gambler more motive to get back into where there's real money as these kind of apps will only give the gambler some time to test some strategies before trying to get into the real deal. In the same way, the app will only get these gamblers into some deep situations instead of bring the gambler into the right track.
If that certain gambler is really dedicated to change his/her life then I bet that gambler knows the right or wrong and it's more better to keep some safe distance when it comes to gambling or other activities that could connect to it.
2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 15, 2022, 11:12:39 PM
So it means that Ayton will stay with Phoenix after-all? Things have been said and done, hopefully they can still patch up things.

However, does it mean though that Ayton could still be used as a trade bait for KD?

So the plot still thickens and everyone is waiting for any news regarding KD's request for a trade to the Suns.

Good for the Suns if they will stay but that means there's no KD in the Suns. There's a rumor that he could play with the Miami Heat, I think that team is a legit championship contender than the Suns due to their great defense.

It is indeed good for the Phoenix Suns because they have managed to match the offer with the Pacers, now Ayton are staying but they could've saved more money if they offer Ayton much earlier but what's done is done and the thing is that they are able to keep Deandre Ayton for that.

There might be a rumor about that but the Heat has nothing to offer to the Nets in exchange for Durant.
Nets Prefer To Keep Kevin Durant Due To Below Expectation Trade Offers
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 15, 2022, 10:11:57 AM
1 day and 10 hours left the fight will begin Ryan Garcia must take it seriously in this fight because we all know that his opponent Javier Fortuna wants to break him down and claim the belt so this is a big challenge for Garcia he needs to be careful in his every action in the fight, he must double his defense in order to maintain the his solid stomach cause if  fortune can easily touch him and landed many solid punch for sure fortune have a chance to claim. the victoryhis
He always takes his fight seriously, but the problem is that if his opponent is not going to engage in a toe to toe fight, then they will have a problem, because even if Garcia will win but it's not as impressive as expected, that wouldn't give the hype they needed for his next fight.

So we shall see if there is another runner fighter that Ryan will face or Fortuna will be true to his words that he will fight until one of them gets knock out or knock down. We all know that Garcia has serious power in this division, but he need to show something in this fight so that the hype on "King" Ryan will be back. And then we will here his post interview and maybe throw some words on his rivals again.

If Fortuna fights like he usually does, I'd be expecting a knock down as Fortuna always put himself open to a counter punch whenever he's throwing his haymakers.
As for Ryan, if Fortuna lands a solid haymaker punch on him, it'd probably put Ryan to sleep.
I hope this isn't another running game, hope the fight will be entertaining to watch.

I believe that this time we will not see a marathon-like fight because Fortuna is different compared to Tagoe who is more of a local boxer in his country, Fortuna is somehow unknown to me but I looked up on his records and watched some few highlights about him and I figured out that he's actually a decent boxer who can really give Ryan some challenges inside the ring.
This could be good to see if Fortuna will pursue and man his words, surely a toe-to-toe fight is what the people wanted to see and we will see if Ryan have some improvement this time.
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 15, 2022, 09:50:05 AM

Yes, there's a chance that this fight between Spence Jr. and Crawford could end into a draw but I think the chance is just slim because I'm also confident that only one of them will remain undefeated at the end of the day. Not sure though if it will be Spence Jr. or Crawford even if it will be a full 12-round fight, the judges will still give a call on who will be the hailed undefeated that night.

To be honest I don't see them gonna reach the last round and their victory will be decided by the judges scorecards because that would be no fun at all unless one of them dominated the other to win a unanimous decision. Since both fighters are capable of winning a knockout, the fans will gonna be crazy to cheer their favorite boxer once they clash inside the ring. I doubt Crawford will ever back down once he gauges Spence's punches because he can take it and when he does, either one of them will go down cause Spence will also unleash his power to the max.

I understand, you're also entitled to your opinion at all and we are just talking some speculations that will likely happen if this match will materialize soon enough which I bet it will. If we are talking about chances, a draw or decision will be nearest speculation to this fight and we are not new to this as Canelo and GGG had the same outcome even if Canelo had an impressive KO ratio.
Aside from that, I can't honestly tell who have the higher hand on this fight because they are both exceptional and have their own set of skills.
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 14, 2022, 09:50:42 PM
Sometimes they avoid kyc at the casinos due to personal privacy they don't want to reveal it. Sometimes there are times when we gamble and we win big, and we get to the point where we want to release what we have won by gambling because it is big, then the casino sometimes gives a policy to players who proud of the amount you release on their gambling platform they required their clients to submit kyc which the gambler or player has no other choice but to submit it.
This one of the major issues gamblers are facing that are making the experience ones to avoid KYC gambling sites. When you win big, most gambling platforms would want to know your identity by asking your to submit your identity or loss getting paid. I don't know why this is done always but there should be an end to this. Cryptocurrency gambling should be decentralized and platforms should stop asking us of our identity before we make withdrawals which is not encouraging to me.

Many casinos take advantage of asking kyc, as this gives them a chance to easily take away the player's winning money. Crypto users always try to avoid kyc and hide their identity.
There are many players who are on the casino's list of banned countries because they can't do kyc, so they can't withdraw their winning money. Crypto casinos should be decentralised, but whether that will happen or not may be seen in the coming days.

Unfortunately that is what we're facing now, we choose to play in them because of the anonymity they can bring but these days, it's already a different story as most casinos now are asking us for details to approve the withdrawal of our winnings. I agree, yes, casinos are just obeying and implementing the orders of the authorities but these platforms that are implementing it cannot certainly deny that they are also taking advantage of these KYC's.
