2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 17, 2021, 10:23:35 AM
The Jamal Murray injury was an unfortunate event for the Nuggets and this will be a big challenge for the big man of the team, Nikola Jokic.
The season is almost ending and he is one of the top to achieve the Kia MVP trophy. Without his partner and their deep chemistry will he have the same performance to reach his goal?
Kia MVP Ladder: Durable Nikola Jokic faces biggest challenge yet

He already stepped up his game that is why he's in the MVP race. Is there more to it?
For me as a Nuggets fan, it's a no. But, he could always play at his best for every game. He's already doing that.  Smiley
The ones who need to step up are his teammates. Porter Jr. already made his move. I hope the others will follow.
2142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Million BNB Burnt today on: April 16, 2021, 10:36:16 AM
Pumps don't happen in a blink just because they burnt their coins.
But, this is good news.
They can waste that high amount just for burning. If it's one of their marketing strategies then good.
I bet a lot of investors will now give a damn about BNB. Let's just absorb what happens first then maybe we can see movement in a month or maybe even faster than that. I already bought my BNB before and even with dumps that are coming, I won't budge just yet.  Grin
2143  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase VS Binance Valuation - is Binance way undervalued? on: April 16, 2021, 02:21:03 AM
Restrictions.
Asia is a large continent and Binance conquered it.
For an Asian, it would always be Binance as the first pick.

On the other hand, when you are a European or a US citizen you are more likely to end up in Coinbase.
The two have their own colony but I don't like how Binance is trying to hoard altcoins in exchange for listing.
There are other ways to prove the authenticity of a project to avoid scam attempts. With them holding a huge amount of the altcoin to be listed, it could lead to manipulation. I guess that's where they have obtained the high value.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 15, 2021, 03:09:05 PM
Let's talk about the NYK, they won again, this time against the New Orleans Pelicans.

116-106, that was a 10 point win.

I guess everyone should look at how good this team now, they might be a big suprise in the playoffs and honestly, I'm really impressed with how Randle has improve with the Knicks. What do you think, are they a real threat in the playoffs?
It's true.
Randle had improved so much. I remember they almost beaten the Nets if not for that bad call of the referee against Randle for a traveling.
He was so furious about it, he didn't notice he hit Green or he did it on purpose.
Anyway, the Knicks had been great whenever they play at home but really bad on road. 4 winning streaks now but can they handle the Mavericks next with so much talent on their roster.
Defense is their strength and Tom Thibodeau did a great job taking care of these young talents.
2145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bloomberg predicting BTC reaching $400K in 2021 on: April 15, 2021, 10:49:21 AM
It's a prediction, I won't be too serious about it.
Don't take it to heart, most of the news they will make is just for advertisement.
They might be one of the aged news outlets when it comes to investment but when it comes to cryptocurrencies it's not that easy to make an accurate prediction.
A huge chunk of it is just guessing without something to back it up.

No one knows when Bitcoin will go sideways or upward.
2146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what way to take profit ? on: April 14, 2021, 03:25:13 PM
1. buy ipo/ico
I'd forget about this. Lesser percentage to pass the soft cap now because of NFT's and DeFi.
2. buy coins and token before token burning
No, there's not much proof that it will work. Also, a higher percentage it won't climb in value.
3. buy top volume coins
Yes, that could work.
4. buy bitcoin befor halving
You don't want to be in that position. I prefer whenever but far away from the halving.
Just be careful where you would invest your money. Do extensive research as much as possible.
2147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have you given up on airdrop? on: April 14, 2021, 12:45:10 PM
Imagine how much time you wasted with all those efforts joining airdrops and looking for them.
I bet that is still a lot when combined.
Then, there's the monitoring every day just to keep yourself updated.

They are now gone. You are just receiving dust from them and most of it will just be a stain in your ERC20 wallet. If ever they used that platform.
I'd go with a different approach from now on. Use some efforts working for a coin that is worthy for your support.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 14, 2021, 03:25:01 AM
Oh crap, Jamal, Jamal. Torn ACL.  Cry
Nuggets just lost one of their best players.
Thankfully, they acquired Gordon and I hope Facundo "Facu" Campazzo could fill the hole left by Murray.
I won't give up on them just yet. Jokic will find ways.

One concern was lifted after the Murray injury.

Quote
The NBA has dealt with accusations of a condensed schedule leading to more injuries before
Short rests. Half rested bones leading to weakness.
It's possible but when NBA management use statistics it won't win. They could just easily compare it with a higher amount of injuries the past years before the bubble.

Do you agree that players are restless or is it another "soft" reasoning?
2149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there such thing as a “safe strategy”? on: April 13, 2021, 02:36:10 PM
None. After entering the crypto currency industry, you are already at risk.
That's how I view it and maybe most of us should. There is no safe place here even with just keeping Bitcoin or Ethereum.
It's all a risk. You just minimize it by keeping everything secure.

How much more when you trade it? You put a risky coin on a risky industry. I guess you know the answer already.
2150  Economy / Speculation / Re: I just realized I'm 99.9% crypto and 0.1% in fiat on: April 13, 2021, 10:26:26 AM
I got kids, I always need cash near me.  Grin

That's good enough for me or else someone will be mad for not having money in our physical stash.
A problem if your partner is not ecstatic about cryptocurrencies. Yeah, she likes the stories of how I can make more $ but it's better if she will see it in cash.  Grin
It's okay for me, it's always better to be ready, accidents happen and you don't know when it will come.
2151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB price on: April 12, 2021, 03:23:11 PM
With how they promote their project, there is no limit on where the value of BNB could get.
It could even go beyond $1000.
The success of it relies on how they market their exchange and it worked. That 2 BTC limit with no KYC really helped a lot.
Until now I haven't done any KYC to them. I don't need it. I guess that's what keeps this exchange standing on top and BNB is being dragged with it.
2152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin season ending in may ? on: April 12, 2021, 12:12:44 AM
Altcoin season and you made an example with just one.
XRP has its own reasons why it was being pumped like that.
You might want to look at the SEC case that is happening and not done yet. The response from investors looks optimistic for XRP to win since they are buying the coins.

IMO, there is no altseason. As long as alts keeps on marketing their projects in the right way then pumps will keep on coming.
NFT craze just helped pushed it.
2153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to predict a coin is going to be listed in one of the top exchanges? on: April 11, 2021, 01:48:50 PM
It's not a prediction, Coinbase really announced that they're going to list those coins. You should follow all of their social media channels, newsletter and blog site.

That would be already too late...
Speculating - considering
Predicting - forecast, foretell
Almost the same but with different meanings.
Because of the sudden rise of NFT and that includes Enjin there had been speculation, consideration to listing it to Coinbase.
Don't make it difficult to explain, it's just a simple discussion with the subject. Therefore, it ends with what looks like a prediction in your dictionary.
2154  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: When would I get my bitcoins from Elon Musk? on: April 11, 2021, 05:45:49 AM
How stupid is that?
Do people really believe this kind of act?

No one would just give a freebie nowadays and worse double the amount you send. Obviously, that is a scam.
Never believe anything especially if they want you to send a valuable item first. Money or cryptocurrency and even just the mere information about yourself.
Get up and do some labor to make money.

2155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thinking more what should I buy more? on: April 10, 2021, 02:17:41 PM
If it's XRP, isn't it a bit late already?
You know it, it's a risk and not just a normal one, a high risk. Almost like a gamble.
From $0.3 to $1 is far. If they win this case then a possibility of a dump could come.

IMHO, after they win it no more events will come out. This is just the time where they got the spotlight and the only reason for the pump.
It had been years and this never happened. It's awkward that it came from a negative strike.  Grin
Ending, whales will cash it out leaving XRP back to its old price.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 10, 2021, 12:12:23 AM
I don’t know... The Nets feel like the dominant Warriors teams. They have too much talent. Without injuries or a historic performance from the King, I don’t think anyone has much of a chance. They should be considered the favorites every night when everyone is healthy. They could probably hold their own against an All Star team.
76ers is filled with stars too.
January - Nets won
February - 76ers won

They will meet again this April 15. Let's see if the gap grew from inheriting new players and KD being healthy.
Every team will still fight for the championship. All-Star or not, they will not get the ring that easily.
2157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: beginner trader: Are trading signals and bots worth it? on: April 09, 2021, 12:57:04 PM
Actually accumulated over 2000 BTC back when... sold it for what it was worth at the time (under 1$) as I needed to pay my rent. never did HODL, the biggest mistake of my life, and still makes me sick to think about it.
There are worst-case than what you experienced. Remember that so you won't feel any guilt or regret.
Besides, you need that money and it gave you a place to sleep and stay out of any bad weather. That's still worth it, right?

Trading signals. I won't say "no" like never. Use it but don't extend the usage where they want you to pay for the next signal.
Leave them and find a new one with free services.  Grin Trust me, they will abuse you once you paid them, better do it to them first.

2158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a correction in before altseason 2021 ? on: April 09, 2021, 04:16:35 AM
That doesn't look like a correction yet. Most of the time it will be down by 30 percent or more.
Altcoins just got a new face with NFT that's why they are on the center now.
Although, you must also expect this won't take long. It's just like the other events in the past.
You name it, Waves, ICO, IEO, DeFi. All of this has an ending once they have taken their money back and put it to the top cryptocurrencies again.
2159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP is Back on: April 08, 2021, 01:13:32 PM
Just because the court grants Ripple access to US SEC documents does not mean that XRP will win this entire war, it can still lose the lawsuit,
Even if XRP wins the legal battle, it is very difficult to recover at its old price. People were too fed up with the coin's promises.
Because the value is showing it.
I am kind of confused too.

I sold my XRP after the lawsuit was filed because I know I might lose everything if I just leave it there. I don't regret it.
I just feel bad thinking why it should go this way. If this is a way of SEC to attack cryptocurrencies then we could expect this will not be over soon.
Then, another big crypto company will be next. I hope they win this case just to let them know they cannot mess around with crypto enthusiasts.
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 08, 2021, 03:26:24 AM
Sixers and Knicks are playing very hard, but I think that Knicks has fallen short again (that's been the case in their last 3 games).

Net's too good for for the Pelicans, the lead balloon to 30 points. Impressive game from Durant and then Kyrie and surprisingly Aldridge doing the damage. It seems that LaMarcus will be the big difference for the Nets now, as he can post and still play the Center position and be dominant.
Aldridge changed when Durant was around.
It's like he is the pandemic that affected the performance of his teammates.
Combined with Kyrie, Harris, and KD as a threat on outside shots, players on the painted area will have an easy job to make a bucket.

How are we going to bet for the Nets now? The handicap will soar from -15 to -20.  Grin
You don't want to be betting for the underdogs against this strong team.
