2141  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is "tipping" worth? on: January 18, 2017, 06:56:23 AM
Yep still worth it, every tip is worth it in my eyes no matter what so I think there is no different if the price get higher too..

Ok if you think tipping is still worth it, will you tip me if I post my BTC address? To all you Bitcoiners who posted tipping is worth it and to all who still thinks that way then please tip me. My BTC address is in my profile.

It will help spread the word about BTC right? So there. Back your words with action.

I want to add that you do not really have to tip me. I am only trying to prove a point.
2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin be discussed in Davos? on: January 17, 2017, 06:56:54 AM
" Eight men have the same wealth as 3.6 billion of the world's poorest people..... "

It is time for the rich people of the world to gather in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland from 17-20 January 2017. The Chinese president Xi Jinping will also attend this meeting. During this meeting < expensive food & leisure accommodation >  Tongue a lot of hot topics will be discussed, like the struggling/dying middle class and unbalanced distribution of wealth.

I was just wondering if Bitcoin as a possible solution to this problem, should be discussed at these meeting. Bitcoin can solve the problem with the billions of unbanked people and high banking fees and also distribution of wealth via micro tasks/payments.

Would this once again, be a platform to make empty promises, where rich people gather to wine and dine at the expense of the poor?

Share your views on this matter please. ^smile^

You are dreaming. BTC is just another form of currency. Some consider it as another form of commodity like gold. It will only be as good as the user that wields it. If we really wanted to solve such a problem, there will be no need for BTC to do it. What we all need to do as humans is control our greed.
2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would it be with bitcoin? Ask Beijing on: January 17, 2017, 06:43:56 AM
Whether you like in or not, the Chinese market is very important for any commodity now and have a dominant market force, and the action of PBOC is going to affect the price becuase the exchanges are going out of control and the volume and margin trade is out of order.

Concerning the recent price rally of Bitcoin is completely different from 2013, solid fundamentals drive the price up in 2016 strating with halving, Brexit, Trump victory, high inflation in some countries and war on cash.

Maybe but if the Peoples Bank of China keeps putting their finger in the business of the Chinese BTC exchanges then that dominant market force will stop getting involved in BTC trading. Some other market force will fill this gap surely because lets face it, theres money to be made. There will always be someone who wants to profit from BTC.

2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would it be with bitcoin? Ask Beijing on: January 16, 2017, 06:44:32 AM
Who is to blame for this, certainly not the Chinese? They seized the opportunity to dominate the mining scene and they also started to buy

most of the bitcoins. China is also not to be blamed for the 2013 spike in the price. {That was the Willybot} So stop blaming everything on

the Chinese and start buying back some of these coins. If the Chinese government wants to tighten their hold on Fiat, then we should see

this as a opportunity to buy these coins and regain dominance in the Bitcoin scene.  Wink

Yeah its just the way it is no matter how we all put it. Of course we should have anticipated such a move from China and all the other countries. Bitcoin is like an annoyance to them because it gave everyone the ability to move money directly for hand to hand across vast distances. That opens up a lot of potential problems for the governments around the world.
2147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone "Day Trade" Bitcoin on: January 16, 2017, 06:31:54 AM
Tradingview.com offers a nice feature called paper trading where you can trade with fake money. I've been playing around with it for about a week. it's much better than trading with your real money when you are learning. I'm planning on doing it for a few weeks and eventually try real money trading.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will try this later if I have the time. Sometimes all that we need is a little practice in trading to make us get used to it. We neither have the formal training or the experience for it so playing with play money is always good.
2148  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dark marketplaces? on: January 16, 2017, 06:28:05 AM

This may be the case with some of the smaller unknown markets but you shouldn't be using them anyway. If you were to use any of the big ones being listed and talked about on r/darknetmarkets and follow the correct security procedures including PGP and multisig escrow then you should be fine.
In some cases LE is still playing catch up in this field.

Thank you for the educated comment. Most of the posts here are very low quality and almost retarded. Some in this forum clearly have not tried to do their research. They post as if they dont care if what they say is right or wrong. I think some are only in highschool because the level of intellect is still immature.
2149  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dark marketplaces? on: January 13, 2017, 06:47:54 AM
Dark marketplaces are mostly considered bad but I think that they can be good if you think about it, its not that they are doing a bad job in the bitcoin economy as a example and it made the bitcoin also more popular than ever right ?

The people who say that darknet market places are bad are the people who are affected in a not so good way by it. The government would say its bad, maybe the banks would say its bad because they couldnt participate in it, or any business that loses some revenue because of the darknet will say its bad.
2150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone "Day Trade" Bitcoin on: January 13, 2017, 06:43:12 AM
From what I noticed, I can tell you that bitcoin day trading is only really profitable if you have access to bitcoin exchanges located in exotic places.
What I mean by that: on Indian, African, European and Chinese exchanges price usually differs greatly. At some point it might reach even 20%
So if you can establish Indian, African <=> western bitcoin trading - the profits are there.

Are you talking about arbitrage? I dont think there are that many traders that do it. Just look at the price of BTC in all the exchanges and look at the difference. If there were many traders doing arbitrage then all the BTC exchanges all over the world will have almost the same prices of BTC. The difference will be very small.

what he is saying is not exactly arbitrage but a similar method like it.
it comes from the fact that in those countries like India there aren't that many good places that you can find and buy bitcoin from and in a certain period of time there was limitation on people banks and how much they could withdraw so they needed other methods and started using localbitcoins ,... so price went up.
and if someone can buy with USD and sell to Indian Rupies (?) they can make a good profit but that is not day trading and it is not an always thing.

That sounds like arbitrage. If there were many traders doing this then the market involved will be very efficient. Looking at the state of the market now is proof that not many traders are doing arbitrage trading that requires the use of BTC.

2152  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dark marketplaces? on: January 12, 2017, 06:58:14 AM
Why not something like openbazaar? Instead of using the term 'dark' (which causes a negative view) why not use the term 'open'?

So what would that do? Attract your mom or grandma to buy cocaine and meth because its not a darknet market but an open market online? Its called the darknet market because it is specifically that, dark. Calling it something else would not change that fact.

LOL opening a marketplace like openbazaar in the dark net? It's funny on how you are going to make people there use to shop with you.

And even though there are no certain restriction and measurements for selling everything there.

But making that type of marketplace there is very odd.

Are you dense? Do you know the history of OpenBazaar? Do you know what it was called before the original developer left? It was called DarkMarket. Calling it by a different name will not change what it really is. Who would stop the drug dealer from selling drugs in OpenBazaar and how?

Whatever is the history of openbazaar still it doesn't make sense at all. That's why the original developer left, because he really want to expose it as a dark market.

But look on what it is now, it has been made as a free market. As you know, those dark market traders, buyers and sellers.

Will not going to collaborate to a so called free market, they wanted to make their deals restricted.

You lost me. What is it you are trying to say? I can tell by your posts that english is not your first language. Your posts doesnt make much sense here. Please try to post what you are trying to say and say it better so we can understand you.
2153  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gemini Exchange taking WEEKS to approve my bank! on: January 11, 2017, 07:47:24 AM
Thats what you get for using a legal exchange under the scrutiny of a regulating body. Your real problem is you cant call the a scam because they are regulated. This gives them the right to take their time in approving your account and confiscate your funds if they suspect anything fraudulent from you.

2155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone "Day Trade" Bitcoin on: January 11, 2017, 07:16:20 AM
Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone buys and sells bitcoin like a day trader. Like maybe watching for a small gain, selling a few, watching for a small dip, buying back more from what you just sold, and so on.

Are there any reliable sites for this?

Thanks in advance for all who offer insightful advice.

The people who will answer your question and the ones that will give advice are the losers in day trading. The winners will never teach you how to trade well. Why would they help others? That would make it harder for them to make a profit. Be careful with the answers you get and dont readily believe any of them.
2156  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I found an exploit. Where to sell? on: January 10, 2017, 06:04:56 AM
It is NOT that I want to sell the exploit itself in this forum. Let us say, I found an exploit in a library that alot of crypto products use and cannot handle in their code. Again, I do not want to destroy them by selling what I found itself.

So, what are my options to HELP people with this knowledge AND still make PROFIT?

I have my doubts that releasing a public thread about it would mean any help and reporting it individually may not reach the desired impact especially if the developers have less sophisticated English communication skills and the discussion ends up in confusion as I experienced a few times in the past.

Maybe sell it to the owners of that code and make a profit. You would be an ethical hacker as well as a savior in their eyes as well as the world (or at least in the eyes of the owner of the code and its users). Instead of selling it to exploit and cause damage to the owner, I would recommend to go with my suggestion. It would be a battle of good and evil for you my friend.

This is the best route to go. Be of value to the world and dont be motivated to move because of a potential reward. If you really want to profit from your discovery then the darknet could be the perfect place for you. You can start looking around Alphabay and offer your warez there.
2157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Doubling bitcoins??? on: January 10, 2017, 05:50:33 AM
I see so many services offering to double, triple and multiple in all possible amounts the coins you put to them. This doesn't sound very convincing to me but some of them are offering the list of blockchain transactions as a proof that coins were credited. Is this pure scam like I think or is there a possibility to realy make some coins? Would like to hear your thoughts and experiences.

That sounds too good to be true. I read some posts in the thread and they get that its a scam but they dont know exactly how they lure people to join them. It works like this. First they promise to double your BTC and they will say that you can try them for a small amount. They will double it after a set amount of time to make you trust them. Then if you give them a large amount they run with your BTC and hide. Its like taking candy from a baby.
2158  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dark marketplaces? on: January 10, 2017, 05:39:08 AM
There are a couple of dark marketplaces but yeah we cannot access them easily and its not that they can be seen as good marketplaces, just so many scammers..

And those people who are wanting to have some transactions are just going to harm themselves. Just like what you have said most of the people their are acting shady and you cannot entrust some their unless you have history of trading there. Most of the people there are in need of something crazy and those things just can be found there.

Alphabay's reputation system works fine. Have you yourself made purchases in the darknet? From your opinion I can see that you havent tried to make one purchase. So who are you to say that most people are out there to scam you.
2159  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: January 10, 2017, 05:34:49 AM
Well, it is, it can be used as money laundering tool. Anything can be used as it is, be it a real estate or anything that has value, as long as you could hide your money, then you could do it. You could stock your money as bitcoin to hide it or you can make it as passage so it is not easy to trace where it goes out.  Smiley

BTC makes it very much easier if you know what you are doing and if you have the right connections. Maybe its where it could get some of its value in the real world. It could be used by criminals and terrorists to move money over the internet but it can also be used by honest people in dictatorial regimes. As long as the price goes up I'm all for it.
2160  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Open Scammer DataBase - Never get scammed again on: January 09, 2017, 07:21:35 AM
Today I launched a service called Open Scammer DataBase (OSDB). Our goal is to lower scam rates.

How can I use it?
Just go to https://osdb.pw every time you want to trade with someone. There you just enter the username of the person you want to trade with and after some milliseconds the website will answer with one of four options:
- <username> is trusted. - This means the user you searched for is known as being trusted and it is virtually impossible they scam you
- <username> is a known scammer. - This means the user you searched for is known as being a scammer. It is quite sure that he will scam you. DO NOT TRADE
- Failed to contact database - Something went wrong on our side and the database couldn't be checked for the username. Just try it again later.
- <username> could not be found in our database. - This means the user is unknown. You don't have to be more careful than usually but you should be careful anyways.

How can I submit scammers?
Please first go to https://osdb.pw and check if the user is already marked as scammer. If not go to https://osdb.pw/submit-scammer.html and enter the usernsme of the scammer and a reference as verification about the scam. We will check and (if the report was real) add it to our database as soon as possible.

How can I submit a trusted person?
Please do the same as nmfor scammers but use the form at https://osdb.pw/submit-trusted.html

How can I support you?
For financial support which helps us keeping the site running and updated you can donate to the bitcoin address 17gHuJyTSSFJoqZ3wN6FbTyEu9sKfLW57B . Everything sent there will be used for OSDB.
A great way to support us is submitting trusted people and scammers, too

Its very ironic that you offer an anti scamming service but you yourself have negative trust. How do we know you are not a wolf in sheep's clothing?

I didnt click any of your links and I suggest everyone also not to click them.
