2161  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Vlogs on how to earn in Bitcointalk on: July 02, 2020, 06:04:06 PM
2162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jeff Bezos and Bitcoin on: July 02, 2020, 04:50:54 PM
I suppose @OP was referring to the trading fees (not to spend). Let's imagine him converting his fortune ($175 billion) to bitcoins with a 0.15% FX fee, that would be $~250 million
Buy from me, Jeff!!!
I forgot the major details, I was blinded by his net worth by now and what I did is I just compared it with the real time market capitalization. However he could still afford to buy the available bitcoins, or he cannot? Jeff Bezos is living at the top literally, he's like the bitcoin itself when we talk about the money, how fortunate. What if Jeff is the on who's making the price movements?

Amazon capitalized mainly on people's purchasing habits which changed when they turned to e-commerce during the stay at home order (without considering AWS and subscribers). Now the company is surely hoping the habits become permanent
I didn't expected the e-commerce to grow that far, since we have this pandemic right now.

and guys this is just a 'what if' of mine, I'm just stunned with Jeff Bezos. Peace !  Cheesy
2163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Jeff Bezos and Bitcoin on: July 02, 2020, 03:35:23 PM
Today Jeff Bezos is worth more than the market cap of the bitcoin at its price right now, he's more than $1.5M ahead. Jeff Bezos could really own every bitcoin with that huge amount of money, but I'm thinking how much transaction fee he is getting to pay for buying all of the bitcoins (If Ever) and I'm also wondering why at this time of pandemic he got his ATH company shares. With all these money he could just play around, he's above all us in terms of money. Any thoughts about this one?
2164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yes, there is a strip club that accepts bitcoin. on: July 02, 2020, 03:07:13 PM
I don't know a thing about this and honestly, I am shocked.
Me too hahaha I never imagine that bitcoin would reach that deep lol. I guess the owner is definitely into bitcoin, that's a 100%

I am from the same country and I think it is time to visit Angeles City, well, after this pandemic that is, to be safe. Not for the purpose of pleasuring myself but to find out if people are really using Bitcoin in that place. I think they are using coins.ph in this club since it is one of the most popular here in the country. I guess I might even see the OP how he "make it rain Satoshis".  Grin
I wish I could visit a club that accepts bitcoin too, I can't help to imagine myself scanning their titties to give them $5 lol. Now strippers can't hide their total earnings, the owner could just check their app history, that's one down for using this from a stripper POV. Now no strippers would sleep next to you, coz they can't steal a cash from you the next morning  Grin

but this, I think it is only applicable for the products that they are selling unless strippers want a QR code tattoo lmao
2165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly a safe-haven asset? on: July 02, 2020, 02:11:09 PM
It's dependent on your definition of a safe haven. If we're talking one's investment value then that's a big nope for me and anyone hawking that view is suspect. Anything could happen still. There's nowhere near enough track record to come to that conclusion.
Well most of us take the definition of safe haven asset as less volatile or not volatile asset at all, so that only means that we cannot accept, at least for now, bitcoin as a safe haven asset. Basically the movement of price of bitcoin is the reason why we cannot say that it is. But I'm thinking what if the price of bitcoin stays at $9K for a year? can we consider it as safe haven investment? or a riskier one because it looks like a tectonic plate that might move any time?

If we're talking about shielding your wealth from seizure and being able to transport it across borders unmolested then as a literal safe haven there's nothing else like it.
But a sudden deposit of huge amount might be hold by the exchanges right? or if you carry a hardware wallet it is still not totally safe and you might just lost it forever.
2166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you wish you could do the most with your Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2020, 06:56:41 PM
Buying property directly with it.
Well that's a good deal with bitcoin if it were able to buy a property.

That's the biggest purchase most people will ever make and the idea of having to dick with exchanges and banks adds a whole lot of time and nerves. Perhaps it will be commonly accepted in a few years but right now most sellers will still think you're a mad assassin.
What if most of people already know bitcoin and they are willing to accept it as mode of payment instead of fiat or check, would you buy a property given that the price of bitcoin is at $9000?
Ahhh if the time is now I might just buy it with cash, there's no way I'll spend my bitcoin with property though land value is increasing through years still bitcoin has the biggest shot in making it double.
2167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Chainlink (LINK) a good investment? on: July 01, 2020, 06:13:59 PM
Chainlink (LINK) oracles to power NFT-based blockchain games on Polyient

Chainlink’s technological capabilities are in-demand this year, with its blockchain seeing increased adoption this year courtesy its scalable smart contracts, oracles, and verifiable randomness function (VRF) features.

https://cryptoslate.com/chainlink-link-oracles-to-power-nft-based-blockchain-games-on-polyient/
Man I think you are spamming this thread with Chainlink news, I mean you can make yourself a thread with chainlink that you can update every once in a while. You're not even stating your opinions about it, instead you are just copy pasting what's inside the article, a shitty 1 liner and posting below the link to the article. I think you're a fan of Chainlink, but stop doing this. It seem to me that Chainlink is doing good lately, I've seen its chart and I'm amazed how active it is now. We'll see another pump in chainlink in my opinion when bitcoin breaks the $10,000 mark.

2168  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: July 01, 2020, 04:18:17 PM
Xian Gaza already made some statements regarding FORSAGE, and so far mas naniniwala pa ako sa credibility ng scammer-turned-anti-scammer na 'to kesa sa ibang personalities ngayon. Xian exposed many crypto-related scams in the past, mostly mga ponzi schemes.
I'm a fan of Xian Gaza's exposes ( hindi sa pang sscam lol ) he got a very good intelligence team behind him and that's what he all needs para kumita ng pera.

I see this as a win for us, if we are able to pass a bill or law na mag poprotect sa mga investors towards crypto then maaaring mag boom na rin sya dito sa Pilipinas.
2169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin halving real or just a theory?? on: July 01, 2020, 03:17:28 PM
This is actually an indication that you were not really following crypto updates and details about cryptocurrency, when we just experienced the reality of halving a few weeks back, I suggest you go and read more about it.
Halving is real, it usually comes in between the bear and the bull, is the period when the miners reward is halved and Bitcoin bullish is launched.
Halving is designed for bitcoin not to be inflationary, a single reason that we could have ignore it by now. What do you mean that the halving is real and it usually comes in between the bear and the bull? do know what really the halving is? lol halving is expected to happen every for years from following the number of blocks being mined every year, if we get constant mined blocks then we can mathematically calculate when will be the next halving. It is not seasonal nor pushed by the crypto users lol.
2170  Local / Pamilihan / Re: UnionBank and Coins.ph on: June 30, 2020, 05:57:28 PM

Really haven't tried this bank but maybe in the future (matapos lang pandemic or something)or if ever my current alternative way ng pag cashout/in ko sobrang hassle na. Still sticking sa coins.ph to gcash or to money remittances pero still reliable naman, if ever na si coins.ph magkaroon ng partnership better na remittances kasi hindi talaga hassle for most crypto users. So far I've just tried RCBC pero one thing na napansin ko bago ma credit yung transaction na pinunta mo sa atm card mo it takes 4 days I think bago mag appear, I don't know sa UB. Who else here know other crypto friendly banks aside UB?
Ako hindi ko pa na try mag cash out using unionbank, noong available pa ang service ni security bank sa coins.ph doon ako lagi ng cacash out. Siguro naman lahat tayo alam yung way ng pag cashout sa security bank ( the 16 digit code, if I'm not mistaken ) pero kase kung usapang convenience, wala na sigurong mas tatalo sa pag gamit ng mga digital money processors like paymaya or Gcash especially when you have their mastercard, sobrang dali na lang mag cashout any time pwede kang mag cash out sa mga atm.
2171  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTCUSD Technical analysis on: June 30, 2020, 05:21:12 PM
It's good that you've been tracking the price of BTC, actually it is one of my advices for newbies like you ( I assume because of your forum rank ) You can share it with us, this forum is open for analysis like what you are making so you'll know our sentiments about it. But speaking honestly with you, what I think of technical analysis ( TA ) is useless with the current market situation, there have been tons of TA junked because of very unpredictable movement of the market, though there are some right prediction it is not as accurate as it supposed to be.

2172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Didn't satoshi revealed himself during the domain purchasement? on: June 30, 2020, 04:16:26 PM
Bitcoin.org was never registered by Satoshi, it was registered by Sirius (Martti Malmi). They knew eachother from the cryptography mailing list. The domain was registered before the whitepaper was even published.

The domain was registered using https://www.anonymousspeech.com

This is my understanding of it as well. Satoshi never struck me as careless in this regard, he did want satoshi to be an entirely independent entity from his real identity. IF it was to protect himself or to bring closer the "satoshi can be anyone" message, I don't know, but I respect his wish for anonymity either way.
But how do we know if it is the Satoshi we know that communicated with Sirius to register the domain? We didn't even know if Satoshi was a person or a group. I don't think Satoshi is/are really up for name guessing, they perfectly (for me) hid his/their identity. Or we have already spoke with Satoshi? Walked with Satoshi? It's not much of a deal at all to know his whereabouts, respect for this big brain man/ group behind this identity puzzle.

'maybe all of this are all made up' - nobody
2173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian government Banning Cryptocurrencies? on: June 30, 2020, 02:47:21 PM
There are few topics recently that talks about this issue and i don't know if this will come true or another warning from the said country.
It has been months ago when they declared the legalization of Bitcoin and cryptos  and now here we go again, planning to ban for same reason.
Banning cryptocurrencies won't be off the table, it is being set aside around the table until they want to check on it again. I don't know what's behind on all of this, I don't really think it is with cryptocurrencies itself, it will be most likely the elite people in India being advised to stay away with, so they let their puppies to do the job for them. I'm tired of seeing this same old news, banning and unbanning of cryptocurrencies in a country, such a whacked argument to discuss.

I think there are really Inside this issue, and for me it is the bank owners  who are being threaten with the presence of crypto thats why they are lobbying for the banning.
That's it! they are threatened, the only downside with cryptocurrenices are scams that can circulate everywhere on the internet which they can easily solve using their cyber agents.
2174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Memes Make the Bitcoin on: June 28, 2020, 06:41:21 PM
Twitter is actually much more effective in finding memes bitcoin Twitter memes support Bitcoin and each of their companies will circulate. Social media is a great way to get information about crypto and bitcoin. Through these we can easily get the latest updated information about Bitcoin I also support memes bitcoin and the demand for crypto will increase further.
Twitter is for everything, literally everything. You can even watch porn in twitter just like pornhub lol ( trust me I didn't watch those haha) Honestly I think making memes with bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency helps the community to grow at least with some humor and entertainment. Imagine if you lost $100 in a trade and saw a bitcoin meme that makes you laugh inside, you didn't get back your $100 but at least it made you laugh lmao.

Looking forward for another part of this bitcoin memes, the collection is kinda short please add more  Grin
2175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the difference between Perpetual and Quarterly Futures trading? on: June 28, 2020, 05:46:58 PM

It's simple. A Future contract is basically when buy/sell a currency (or something else) at a predetermined price on a selected date in the future.

- Quarterly Futures contract => expires after a 3 months period (4 quarters per year, 1 quarter=3months)
- Perpetual Futures => it does not have an expiry date unlike traditional forms of futures contracts. It can be perpetual

This answers your question in all.

but to add on futures trading, you must taken consideration the leverage. If you try to do a quarterly futures contract, then you should be having less than 25x I suppose, even a 5x will do for that very long time but this does not guarantee you that it won't be liquidated it is still depends on how the market will move. Now I'm looking into quarterly futures trading, is it too risky than having short with high leverage?
2176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without banks, is it possible to move physical currencies to Crypto? on: June 28, 2020, 05:05:33 PM
There are some apps that will allow you to convert your Physical currencies to crypto. It is like you will deposit your currency to that app and then it can be converted into crypto.
Yep, there are wallets that is ready to serve as your wallet where you can just convert fiat into crypto, vice versa. I have a wallet called coins.ph, this is the most trusted wallet in our country where you can buy load, bills and do a bank transfer with a wide variety of banks. It looks really cool for an application to have these features but, I personally don't use crypto to buy or pay anything on the internet, as much as possible I want it to be done using fiat. Anyone with me?

I don't think that some of these apps are related to banks so technically speaking, it is still possible. I don't use banks for a long time already either in withdrawing or depositing (especially this I don't want to deposit money in banks instead I'm more in investing it).
I think it still depends in the country if they are open with cryptocurrencies, all this should be tracked by the central bank of course. I have my bank and an online wallet for cryptocurrencies, we would not know what's going to be needed, so I have both of 'em.
2177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on Bitcoins: Unreasonable or essential? on: June 28, 2020, 04:27:02 PM
That is why the government wants to regulate crypto for this sake. Obviously, many crypto holders never think about taxes they paid in converting their  BTC to FIAT but that buying goods with the use of our local currency we are simply giving them a tax.
Taxes is for the community, and I'm not against with taxation however taxing the cryptocurrencies is on a whole new level of illusion. If they give us a single good reason and benefit for it then we might just agree and go with it, but it seems like they all just think about the money. They even call it at first a bubble   Grin  Taxes should be put towards the service provider orbiting the cryptocurrencies and not the cryptocurrencies itself, aren't they doing it now?

If the government will push that taxes in all crypto holders, yet, it was not essential but we have nothing to do and we can't hide anymore.
As long as it is attainable for us crypto users, as long as it goes to the right community projects then why not?

My main question on this is HOW?
2178  Economy / Economics / Re: China economy and how they handle Covid-19. on: June 28, 2020, 03:44:21 PM
I guess there are three main reasons why China is somehow successful in combating the virus.

1. The government is really strong and decisive. All the power resides in the government.
China's government is very strong, they can handle their huge population smoothly, just take a look at their cases now, it is relatively low from their past cases on covid which really tells us that they are doing it right. In fact it is the WHO organization that is following the China on covid-19, WHO is giving their full support on China and technical assistance since they saw this chance in China to combat covid.
2. The country is rich. They have the means to do things fast.
The country is very rich that even USA has a trillion debt to them, have you heard of a 3-day built hospital in Wuhan?
3. The people are afraid of the government. They, therefore, comply with whatever the government tells them.
I really believe the key to this pandemic is cooperation , here in my country it is like a normal day to them going out, letting their kids to play outside, it is like nothings happening around. Then they have the audacity to ask what did the government do to fight the virus like wtf.

2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT TRUST TO TETHER on: June 28, 2020, 02:55:52 PM
I have been advocating for the non-usage of stablecoins in general(probably besides when you're daytrading) for a while now. A lot of people are so unaware of the risks they're taking when holding most stablecoins.

Topic: PSA: Most Stablecoins Can Be Frozen, Even When in Your Own Wallets https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204055
I didn't know that they can freeze your tether in whatever wallet it is, I have been using tether for a long time every time I trade if I want to trade later or just saving my time to watch for the market before converting it to bitcoin. I've seen some people calling it a scam yet it does not trigger any thing, but who the hell would hold tether tho? If this is a literal scam, an obvious one then why it is still running ?

So if you guys have tether in your account, better to switch it immediately, don't be it in your bed.
2180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: June 26, 2020, 05:24:40 PM
There are several traces of newbies finding signals here and there to trade, but it is wrong. Believe me If you want to trade consistently and profitably just learn how to do it yourself no matter how difficult or how long it takes.

You can subscribe to signals if you're the type who wants to earn while you learn but long term.... Learn trading by yourself
True. Learning trading by yourself can help you to improve a lot of skills and techniques. In the long term, having trading knowledge gives you opportunities to work alone and create your own system which helps you to understand the market a lot
It is natural actually for a newbie to seek for help at first, especially from winner trader but the thing is they should be just in a box for the whole day they should be researching facts and strategies which market is great for them coz honestly some of us are winning in trading but most of us are losing. The misunderstand of most beginners that trading is just an easy task is hole for them, I blame those advertisements that says you can actually profit $100 in a day without saying you need to have at least $500.

Therefore, dont become lazy and dont depend all of your money on a trading signal
I tried these signal channel in telegram and guess what they are full of craps. Hear for other opinion but don't let that be your decision, come up with your own.
