2161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most optimistic result of Bitcoin? on: June 16, 2021, 03:20:33 PM
I think the better result that bitcoin has created is the rate of adoption and use we have seen the last two years. Before this time, the rate of use wasn't this high and popularity has increased where we see that big buyers and institutional investors are coming in. This to me gives the explanation that people are a little confident to believe in bitcoin and hodl also. Hodling means there is confidence in what you are hodling dearly.
2162  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and happiness. on: June 16, 2021, 10:26:36 AM
Money isn't all there is to life. It is a different definition for different people. It has a lot to do for life but not all about it. I don't really like to put money above life and health, I know money can help to life but health is wealth. If you are healthy then you have life. Money has contributed to so many evil in life, it is the whole source of corruption. It is the reason that the world isn't sweet for the masses as government and people around the corridor of government take all the public money to themselves and family while the other people are left suffering.
2163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of gambler are you? The numbers guy or let luck lead the way.. on: June 15, 2021, 05:51:21 PM
I go with public analysis most times and if it happens to correspond to what I have in my analysis, I will have higher hopes of winning. To get the public opinion is not just from anyone but through research on the internet to visit prediction sites. They give analysis on previous games and performance, I get their view and reviews of the game before placing a bet. I don't bet just by my own understanding alone but I don't rely on luck but sometimes I get favoured with luck.
2164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fear : The Debacle of a Trader on: June 15, 2021, 03:33:42 PM

A lot of terms are now popping up. The most common one is FOMO, and now you have (number #1 in your list) FOLO or FOLOIAT. You are renaming FOMO into FFNYT. FONMTM is just taking the terms broader. It's getting funnier and funnier with the different abbreviations.

If you are referring to opening post, I don't think I can see the abbreviations used there. Meanwhile, FOMO is not new to traders and for the other abbreviations you pointed, they are not found on the open post, do where did you find FFNYT or FONMTM as abbreviations?
If you mean"Fear of not milking the market
" as FONMTM, well you decided to abbreviate it as such, I wasn't looking at abbreviating though.

Please lets not confuse begginers more rather to help and guide.
2165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fear : The Debacle of a Trader on: June 14, 2021, 07:07:05 PM
Now that's exactly what's happening to me in these days. I am always in a FOMO. I plan my strategy and I wait for my entry point.
But as soon as the price goes a little down after buying I exit the trade. This happened almost 4-5 times now and I have exited the trade sucking up losses.
Yeah I know it's completely my mistake but I am trying to control my fear. I know I will overcome the fear soon and start sticking to my strategies.
Thanks for making this post and motivating traders like me.

I feel this you said as your challenge. I suggest to you to reduce your risk to profit, try little trades to build your confidence level and keep studying your strategy with time your FOMO will go away.

Always remember in trade that you either lose or profit, you have this in mind always and allow your trade to run as you have analyzed. Price won't start going your way most times.

Avoid multiple trading and entering same trade multiple times because you don't need to "fight" the market. Good luck to us all as we keep learning from each other.
2166  Economy / Economics / Re: Amateur Traders Cause Bubbles on: June 14, 2021, 04:33:22 PM
Amateur traders are subject to FUD and make the growth be bigger and the fall deeper. But they are not trend setters and they don't have the power to create bubbles.

But to the contrary I think they can set a new trend. As you mentioned that that are subject to FUD and that means they can trade in panic, so if it happens the fear a spike and starts trading with the spike, that can change direction of price and at same time , a fundamental can hit the spike to happen, it is possible to totally change price direction. You already know that fundamental or news can be a reason to see huge spikes. Spikes that happens in a longtime hour like week or in the monthly candle is possible that trend will change to the direction of amateur.
2167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fear : The Debacle of a Trader on: June 14, 2021, 03:57:50 PM
...but to be honest it was not easy for us who were only self-taught at that time. it is experience that has given valuable lessons that there is no right method unless you have to go through a long experience to get to this point.

I think that it is even better to be self taught than depending on someone for copy trade or call groups that are not realistic. Most successful traders have been those that are self taught and that can be because of the rise and fall witnessed in trying to master the market with that you gain more and better experience in analysis and reading market movement also. Learning by ourselves is better and good but we need to do that gradually with little capital or demo trade like in Forex trading.
2168  Economy / Economics / Re: Own a house or rent one? Quick survey! on: June 12, 2021, 05:31:51 PM
It actually depends on your situation. If your work is changing location from time to time and you have to relocate and you truly like your job then renting is the option for you.

But in the long run, owning your own house is still the best option. You have the value of appreciates yearly until you finish paying it. You can eventually sell it as a good profit margin or rent it or stay on it and you don't have anything to think about mortgage when you're done paying it.

Yes owning a house is a better option truly because it looks like a life savings that you have made. It may not be easy in the struggle to but at long run benecial. Having a percentage cut in salary and forfeiting some temporary pleasure can be stressful. Going for transfers from work should not be any reason not to acquire your own building because you can put it out on sale and regain your capital investment. This is the practice in my locality.
2169  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Persecution of the elderly. on: June 12, 2021, 01:07:47 PM
I like your idea of trying to help people across even on forum. You seem upright and that is an enviable character to emulate.

But I don't like the part a lawyer is evolved to cheat other people of their property. People that should be protected but because they are widows, people want to take advantage and that is bad.

Keep your idea of reaching out to many through social media and blog, it will get more good spirited neighborhood in supporting your mission to help.

But why will the police not do the needful but to watch people cheating others because they perhaps have taken bribes...

Hey... Octogenary, you confrontational ? I can imagine. Don't allow it get physical, we want to celebrate a centurion Shocked Grin

Keep being a big brother to your neighborhood.
2170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Fear : The Debacle of a Trader on: June 12, 2021, 12:21:49 PM
For a trader in this business, fear is a big treat to your winning or losing a trade and whether you like it or not, it is there in our daily trading but it is in different degrees.
Sometimes fear helps you to be happy at the end of the close of trade by the time it pushes you not to click the trigger of sell or buy which later turned that it would have been a lost trade and likewise while you didn't trigger the buttons and it turned out to be a profit trade and you go regretting, that is what fear can do both ways.

FEAR IN DIFFERENT LEVELS

1. Fear of losing out in a trade: This kind of fear is the type that makes your fingers nostalgic or feeble until you trigger the order. The reason you eventually trigger it is because you feel you don't want to stay outside the trade while it "builds profit" but the funny thing about this is that most times when you rush in into such trigger, the market direction immediately changes against you  Grin
Lol, does it happen to you? And the next minutes you are out in loss. Fear factor right ? It pushes you here and there, not good for trade.

2  Fear from not taking your chance: This is another level of fear for me as a learning trader. This level, you see glaring chance to make good trade on a short time but you are not sure whether to go in .

3. Fear of not milking the market: See as a trader, there are times that the market present you an opportunity to take back if not all your losses for the week but a reasonable amount of it but that fear of reversal of direction won't allow you to stay longer and fill up your profit adequately. You rather choose to run out and you watch like a cat outside while price keep filling your existed direction. That's fear, unfortunately you regret outside.

SOLUTIONS TO FEAR IN TRADE

1. Be stable and determine to take your chance based on your strategy. Stable and determined in sense you don't just trigger when you are not suppose to do and to trigger when you are to do so.

2  Don't depend on luck: Trading is different from gambling. Trading has all the guidelines you need in fundamental and technical analysis

3. How to get in and out: You need to understand your trading strategy, know if and follow it, that small voice that guides you and your pattern needs to be followed

4. Don't forget your money management and stop loss: This point is important, I have seen a trade in profit without analysis but you are not scared because you have applied this point and have put exactly how many percent of your capital you want to risk in the trade.
2171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is fearfull. Someone said this is time to be greedy on: June 11, 2021, 05:34:30 PM
There is also blood on the streets, so someone said this is time to buy. Look at the amount of fear. So follow this?

"Someone" Cheesy

If you don't know who that someone is, I am not entirely sure whether investing is an activity for you at all! Wink
You should better look up who said that and read up on the context he said that in. And by the way, there is also a saying that says never catch a falling knife! Better combine the two statements before making judgments.

I have come to see trading as an individual thing and doing what you are directed by your strategy. Following what the views of others are may not be totally correct in all but surely the world about falling knife is real but the question is how can you identify a falling knife. Trade is dynamic, changing and not consistent, it is not like soccer betting and prediction about teams playing each other consecutive times and outcomes can be known.
2172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I get a loan? on: June 11, 2021, 01:44:17 PM

If the value of my cryptos drop I'm willing and able to wait up to five years to break even.

I'm looking at this from your post as you understand that price can drop a great deal. It seem your family is supportive to you in your life endeavour if you can wait this long and they won't bother you, it means it may not be considered as a loan but a gift. Loan itself attracts a fee.

You can get the gift for your investment anyway but you still need to invest in good and existing coins.
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some long term projects for holding? on: June 11, 2021, 11:51:22 AM
I'm new to this whole thing and recently I've realised that too many projects are volatile and not trustworthy.

Any suggestions for tokens that are more trustable and worth holding for 6 months and more? I will do my own research of course.

You look like to have good experience already. If you know that some projects are volatile, then you can sell off at the highs and wait to fill up again because in essence that is what the purpose is, selling and buying, deep and bull.

If 6 months is okay for you hodling for profit then you don't need to worry about the trust worthiness of the projects , just go for the kill. But usually 6 months is still a small time to expect a valuable project to make profit. Example for Ethereum has stayed longer time below $300 before it started making alot of gains. So also many other altcoins have stayed longer time before profiting now. The proper thing to do is to buy at a right time, buying at deep is better to buy in bulk. Bitcoin, Ethereum, BnB have been a good project.
2174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and its risk, research properly on: June 10, 2021, 09:43:15 PM

What did they scam? Hunters? Or investors and traders?

This was a major set back of ICO in retrospect. Many scam was associated with this it and almost made ethereum like getting less hype because most of the projects of ICO where under the Ethereum blockchain. The investors too who bought where either having their coins locked up and not release while some outrightly didn't fulfill white paper promise to investors. It was really a time to learn about investment in tokens not in exchange and it's risk.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time to invest in Bitcoin on: June 10, 2021, 03:44:41 PM
If you are planning to make a long-term investment, I suggest that you can buy some bitcoins these days, because the price of bitcoin is very low now, I think it seems that the price of bitcoin will rise soon, and there may be more positive Signal, you can wait and see, because from the past few years, there will be a big rise after the big drop in the past, which is a good opportunity for novices to enter the market.
Agreed, the prices might never even touch this point again in the near future for better or for worse but it's highly likely that it's for the better. I did have my share of bitcoin already and I think I will be set for now when the prices are steadily going up.

Some have predicted for price to drop a little more from the point we see now but the whole prediction thing is getting overwhelmed because no one simply know the level price will go. I also think more down can be seen before another bull run appears . But we have to trade with care but hodling longtime isn't bad at the moment.
2176  Economy / Economics / Re: Human productivity on: June 10, 2021, 03:03:38 PM
I could see the tune of trade by barter in the op post and just as the scene made, such times of trades have gone and not to come back. The system and society is now highly monitized and that can be the reason there are various means that the society is surviving from gold, paper money, cryptocurrency. Digital marketing and economy is the level of economic interaction at the moment and some government recognise this while some still finding it difficult with moving along.
2177  Economy / Reputation / Re: I'm not Little Mouse on: June 10, 2021, 10:52:39 AM
This post is to certify that I'm not involved with any cryptocurrency team. This token/coin Little Mouse has nothing to do with me.

On a side note, I believe this project is totally a scam shit coin. Please be aware and always do enough research before investing.
The disclaimer is apt. But I think it's just a mere coincidence owing to the fact that there isn't any patent preventing same name from being used on different sites. For instance, another dude could decide to use my moniker here as his on another crypto site or even run it as a token name. No biggie. The only way anyone can accuse you of involvement in the project is if any of your social media handles (Telegram, Twitter, Reddit etc) is shown to have be used in correspondence with the project. That's just it. What do we even say of that which happens here where bounty participants use the monikers of veteran members in their applications for social media tasks. It's even a worse situation, if you asked me.

Again about the token, it has no trading price. Yet it's shown as having trading volumes at different times. So, who and who are doing the purchases and sales? This alone is enough to warn anyone that it's a scam. Yet people will still blindly fall for it.

I also checked coinmarketcap (cmc) and no clear data or information for some columns which to me isn't a good sign for investment. I hardly invest in such project that is not properly defined either on the exchange where it is listed, CMC or coingecko. I don't really on telegram or social media handles when the reputable platforms don't recognize the project. I avoid the waste of money to invest in recognised project.
2178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcointalk Market Sentiment Poll 6/8/2021 on: June 09, 2021, 01:34:29 PM
I'm really hoping it will be bullish but my monthly chart is rather giving a different picture to me and the bear is surprisingly down that I can imagine. I hope a reversal will happen like positive update or news that can change the swing down. I see below $20,000 and further down to around $12,000. Well it was also unbelievable in 2018 when price slumped badly to $3,500.

Price on a monthly chart and the red line is the area it may get to if bear continues.
2179  Economy / Speculation / Re: The calm before the storm? on: June 08, 2021, 09:55:59 PM
It has been a dull week actually do Tuesday is just taking over from what the beginning is.
The supply and demand is the reason for the slow start which is why the mempool isn't filling up. I think there are still fuds in the market environment whose sentiment is causing sell off and bitcoin is dropping too.
2180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Signals in crypto on: June 08, 2021, 02:20:18 PM

how I can recognize some other good coins? How I can recognize when is the right time for buyng and sellig crypto to make most of trades profitable?

This is a question that most traders ask and it is not easy to answer. Categories of traders who ask such are newbie because they don't understand that there is no free meal anywhere even in the well organized society, the government can subsidize it lol. Newbies are always looking for getting rich quick but the unfortunate is that getting rich is not easy, you will have to work harder and be determined. For group signal, none is valid. You can build your own way to understand the market, your entry position and exiting model.
