2162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Mining Data Center plus MLM? on: May 01, 2018, 04:03:32 PM
Cryptocurrency Mining Data Center plus MLM?

Say you do have mining rigs and do an MLM business model, is that feasible? I know most MLM are scams since the profit made is only from product sales or from referrals you get. But for mining I think the game will be different. What do you think?

Its a scam if you earn from it through referrals only but if you earn from it from selling their product thats not a scam. Most MLM that ties with Bitcoin are scams and most doesn't have a product. They are selling the system of earning and promises big returns but no product. Most of the time it will collapse sooner or later. Give it 2-3 years.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone else wondering just what the hell happened to Altcoin Discussion? on: May 01, 2018, 03:43:29 PM
You know the root of these spams,SIGNATURES this forum was purely discussions last years until these signature campaigns were allowed by Theymos,he knows what is the main problem but he keeps ignoring it.I know a lot of people are going to disagree but the reason why this forum was flooded by spam is because of these signatures which are pushing those participants to flood the forum with their ICO promotional signatures.

If this forum wont have any signatures, the spam will stop 100%
Signature have nothing to do with it. Campaign managers are strict and if a post is non sense and just pure garbage, they are not going to be paid or post will not be counted. Its those who want's to pad their post count to rank up but since the admins introduced the merit system, its harder nowadays to rank up.
2164  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify Investments on: April 29, 2018, 05:06:07 PM
If you want to diversify, then settle for Bitcoin or Ethereum then the rest of the money you plan for investing will be split into other kinds of investments. It could be a property like real estate or gold maybe. Focusing on Bitcoin and alt coin may sound like a good idea but go for something that can be easily sold too to those that are not into cryptocurrency.
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram channels on: April 28, 2018, 03:49:23 PM
What channels of telegrams will you recommend to place your ICO project to attract an investor? Can be marked(paid placement or not)
Why start wit Telegram when promoting your ICO is enough in this forum. Let those who joined your ICO promote it themselves in Telegram. This forum have high traffic when it comes to Crytocurrency and your target market is also concentrated here. In other words no need to go in other places.
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 27, 2018, 02:47:53 AM
Did James really got a clean blocked against Oladipo or what is a goal tend?
I read in CBS sports that NBA ruled out that its a goal tending.
Quote
Goaltending is confirmed when a player (offense or defense) touches the ball on a shot:

1. After it reaches its apex (its highest point) and is on a downward flight toward the basket with a reasonable chance to go in;
2. After it hits the backboard and is headed toward the basket, whether going up or down, with a reasonable chance to go in;
3. When it is in contact with the backboard, i.e., a player may not "trap" the ball (a batted ball against the backboard is not a trapped ball);
4. Once it has touched the rim and is either using the rim as its base or has bounced off the rim and is in the imaginary cylinder above the rim. (Note, a ball that is rolling off the rim may be touched, even if it is still in contact with the rim because it has no chance to go in); and
5. Generally, touch or vibrate the rim, backboard or net in a way that affects a shot attempt

It sure is if you read #2 and #3. Result of Game 5 could have been different if call has been made. Could have gone over time or Pacers clinching the win on Game 5 giving them the lead for the playoffs.

2167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do whales mainpulate the market? on: April 26, 2018, 09:36:39 AM
This whales have a lot of money and they use it to cause panic to those with weak hands. Whales can be a group or just 1 person with pooled money. They can also create a fake trend. Lets say they are holding an altcoin and they dumped it all causing a big red candle stick. Those with weak hands will panic and sell what ever they are holding causing the price to go down further. Then whales can buy again at low price.
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: April 26, 2018, 06:18:40 AM
Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies just experienced a correction.
It is good time to buy now. We will see another wave of growth.
Best time to buy ETH was 2 weeks ago when it was below $500 but today is still a good time to buy since its below $800. Last time ETH peaked at $1,000 then it dropped all together with BTC when we entered 2018. A repeat of what happened last year is possible as we see good comments from financial analysts about BTC and Alts.
2169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is rank of bounty manager is really matters? on: April 21, 2018, 06:45:11 PM
Manager rank doesn't matter. Most likely this person is an acquaintance, friend, or fellow developers. Many managers with a high rank are very bad at leading companies, for this reason it does not matter. Example I can't remember unfortunately, but it was.  Smiley
It matters because they can easily say they are an "acquaintance, friend, or fellow developers". How can participants be sure that they will get paid? A third person is important in holding funds and scrutinizing the project itself and knowing the people behind it since they are the one who will deal with them (developers) directly. Unless that low rank manager already earned trust from high ranked members here.
2170  Economy / Lending / Re: Legit use for lending of Bitcoin ? on: April 21, 2018, 06:30:47 PM
What are the legitimate purposes for which Lending of BTC
should be acceptable ?

If we exclude trading , leverage kind of activities?
There are several reasons why one will request for a loan. One of them and the most common is due to emergency cases and they think they have earned enough trust in this forum that they can request for a loan. Another is they don't want to miss something and they need to pay in BTC. Both reasons I guess are valid but on top of those a collateral must be offered for the loan to be funded.
2171  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Money = Cashless Society on: April 18, 2018, 04:08:02 PM
Those who lives in a progressive country can attain this cashless society. But there are still third world countries that have areas that doesn't have access to 24 hour electricity. This being said cashless society maybe only be dream for them until they have access to electricity. Here in my country, there are even areas where electricity is rotation, meaning one city have electricity, then another will not have in the next 4 hours.
2172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH price increase to 1k3$ again ? on: April 18, 2018, 04:03:04 PM
Well, I think so, the most reasonable time is in Q1 2019 and by the end of 2018 the price of ETH will around $ 7-800
The price of ETH dropped when the price of BTC along with the other Altcoins dropped as well. Speculators are saying that BTC will start to climb up again by 2nd half of this year and might hit ATH again by 4th quarter of this year. Its beginning to be like a repeat of what happened last year. its by end of 3rd quarter and start of 4th quarter when BTC slowly climb to 5 digits.
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub X Verge on: April 17, 2018, 03:27:13 PM
Looking at the order book of Verge at Bittrex, there are more who wants to sell then those who wants to buy. And looking at the price, it went up to 1443 Sats but dropped down to 830 Sats. If its good news why sell right away, it should be the other way around. Someone with a huge bag of Verge may have dumped Verge as soon as the price increased to 38%

2175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 17, 2018, 02:14:23 PM
You're not alone. I guess most of the fans have got tired on watching Pacquiao fights due to various reasons.
This could count from change on religion view, lack of interest (he have other gigs like being a senator) and most importantly, the missing firepower/speed he had in the past.

There's an explanation for that missing firepower of Senator Manny Pacquiao. Remember his fight with Ricky Hatton where he knocked out Hatton on the second round? They were fighting as junior welterweight. After that fight he climbed to different divisions. Going to different division is tough because you will face bigger fighters. Fighters that can stand punches from someone who came from lower division like Manny, but if you bring him back to the division where he was known as the M*****n executioner, then you'll see his firepower is still there. Age may have slowed him down a bit, but its still there.
2176  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: If you know XIAN GAZA then go here. on: April 17, 2018, 01:37:24 PM
I've watch XIAN GAZA's exposé which is Xian Gaza is well known as a National scammer here in the Philippines, did you already watch it? He is one of those big scammers all over the world and some other companies using bitcoin to make goal successful. He took 34 million from multiple investors but unfortunately, syndicate also took it from him. Filipinos! you can also watch it here "https://www.facebook.com/xiangazaofficial/videos/271562803367794/?hc_ref=ARS69f9fWyDketSEUDhY6j6eMuAwba1qjLW78MajkFYPKoKqRyzukgxKmOch1czbpwQ" so you are also aware of those companies online that saying that if you invest in their site or something, your bitcoin will grow but the truth is, that is a scam, so be AWARE.
Here's what I know about Xian Gaza or Christian Gaza. He is from Malabon City and his family is well known in that City. His relatives are also a victim of his scam, meaning Xian Gaza also asked money from them but he did not return as promised. When he joined or invested in Bitcoin, he is totally clueless of what he is getting into, he is just there for the money. He may have knowledge about Bitcoin but that is after his money was taken by another scammer who promises big returns every month in Bitcoin.
2177  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WARNING: HitBTC stole 5Btc, after I provided everything they asked for 2+ months on: April 17, 2018, 01:29:27 PM
This is a WARNING to anyone who uses HitBTC.

I sent a 5 Btc deposit over 2 months ago which they froze and asked me for a scan of my Passport + a photo of me holding a piece of paper which I sent them.

After a week of not hearing back, I messaged them again and they asked me the origin of the funds which I explained.

More time passed with no news, and I messaged them again and they asked me for my social media information which I gave them.

Last week they completely suspended my account and closed my support tickets, and they have not been replying to me at all anymore.

I have given them everything they have asked from me and they have still not released my funds after 2+ months!

If anyone from HitBTC is reading this, my requests tickets are #221775, #267139 and #274005.

PLEASE UNFREEZE MY COINS AND STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE!
Sorry to hear that. Have you tried to reach out to them using other form of communication? In Bittrex, I usually advise those with issues with Bittrex to contact them through Twitter, maybe you could do the same thing by communicating to them through Twitter. Tag their Twitter account on your issue. Here is their Twitter account but I am not sure if this is official https://twitter.com/hitbtc
2178  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without knowledge on: April 17, 2018, 01:19:24 PM
The problem with new traders are they were driven by greed and those who invited to to start trading may have taken advantage of Binance referral program when referral fees we're still high, they did not inform their referrals about the risk that they are taking when they started trading. It's asking them to go to war without even knowing who is the enemy.

Just take a look at FB pages about Cryptos and look how they encourage people to start trading by showing them how much they earned and what they already bought. Trading is not for everyone. It needs a lot of time and experience to learn how to trade.
2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If your coin increased 40% - 200% in value over night. What would you do? on: April 17, 2018, 06:16:08 AM
That should have been decided before investing, it will be your goal, not after the coin hits 40% to 100% growth. You will most likely be over powered by greed and hold on to the coin longer hoping for a bigger profit. This happened to me when ANTS was renamed to NEO and price shoot up to 0.01BTC. I hold on to NEO longer thinking that its the next big thing like ETH but unfortunately price went down before the ghost month of 2017 started.
2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do I find the next big thing like Bitcoin? on: April 16, 2018, 05:10:26 AM
Bitcoin will be Bitcoin. If you look at Coinmarketcap, next to it is Ethereum. If you will look for the next something big, look for something like Ethereum. Others think its NEO since NEO is marketed as the Ethereum of China, but currently NEO is still working its way up the CMC. Cardano (ADA) and EOS are 2 good tokens that have potential but still its not going to replace Bitcoin.
