2161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies: A (Crazy) Decade in Review on: December 17, 2019, 05:00:58 AM
It's been awhile since I knew bitcoin. And with my two years of journey here,  roller coaster events had happened to bitcoin. We've seen the success, the development and growth. Far from negative speculators saying that bitcoin will not gonna live longer, but look at it now. It's immensely  growing. 10 years of being a King even if there are stormy years and downfalls. The history just reminds us that bitcoin will gonna shine after the storm.

Anyway, it's fun reading your article. Reminds me of the serious crash last year and I was stuck at that time.
2162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Cryptocurrency is inevitable" says Indian Parliament member Dr. Swami on: December 17, 2019, 01:25:24 AM
He sees how great cryptocurrency will be a help to Indian community. If it goes well, their is a high chance that their country will grow with the help of bitcoin. Though it is not as easy as we thought because there are numerous things that we have to considered. But I do hope Dr. Swami will convinced the UN's Indias headquarters as he has a positive goal helping the country.

Quote from: Dr. Swami
I advocate that India as an established super power in software should accept to make the transition to cryptocurrency
2163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safety first before trading on: December 17, 2019, 12:17:36 AM
We do study a lot before deciding to do a real time trades, right? But not every traders know about Market Capitalization. For newbies, we have to take a look at coin's Market Cap. It indicates and represents the size of the company and how well the coin is doing with the market.
For some instances, stop loss should never ignore to execute in every trades as it will help our trading to lessen the possible huge loss and save us up from sudden changes or sideways.
2164  Local / Pilipinas / Re: A bitcoin country with fixed prices. (For fun) on: December 16, 2019, 03:19:08 PM
Bigla akong nanghinayang nung nakita ko ang conversion ng php to btc. Grin Sa totoo lang, hindi kasi ako sanay na fixed price si btc though it was just a sample. Nakakapanghinayang pa rin mag spend ng btc sa food, example fast foods and other things considering the fees, diba?

Anyway, we always want to see btc payments even in small businesses kaso the only problem is the volatile price parang mahirap mag spend ng btc kapag mababa ang presyo.

2166  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: December 16, 2019, 02:18:12 PM
It isn't new. Haven't we seen this scenario last year? The moment we are expecting the bullish market, the opposite thing happens. It's easy to see a pump and dump but we can always dance with the market, considering every dump and pump an opportunity to buy and gain benefits. Don't worry, this bear market I think is the preparation for the big pump next year.

The group has been looking for alternatives, but none have come to fruition. Due to this, users will have until December 20th to withdraw their funds. After this date, wallets and the entire platform will be shut down for good. That said, users also have until the end of 2019 to delete their account information, as a basic version of the website will remain available until then.

Unfortunately, unexpected things happen. I am just wondering how they couldn't rely on the new policies about KYC thing. If that coin has a good cause and has a sincere platform, they will gonna comply to the new regulations.
Anyway, at least they've reminded investors to pull out their fund before they'll shutdown. Another altcoin thay failed to succeed.
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is a better alternative to Bitcoin and why not use it? on: December 16, 2019, 07:03:42 AM
Not really interested in a new coin that has no use and has to be promote as comparison to btc like digibyte. I don't want to underestimate digibyte but if I were the one to choose one alternative coin, I'd rather choose ethereum. It has potential use and ability with great platforms that is has been using until now.
2169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 Dice Strategies that Might be Proven Helpful on: December 16, 2019, 05:49:21 AM
I did those two you have mentioned above. Actually, I have used different kind of strategies but let me tell you one thing. It doesn't seems really work. Especially when you played too much, it will work at first but as you can noticed the house always win. I also play not only one type of game, it will always depend on the server seed and luck. When you think your own strategy is working and you are gaining some luck, grab it while it's still working.
2170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: December 15, 2019, 12:09:39 PM
Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?

I am using mobile phone at work. And take note, I do some swing trades. There's nothing wrong about using mobile phones in trading. I still execute orders, (fill and exit orders)and it wasn't a terrible idea at all. I certainly gain profits without hassle. When it comes to technical analysis or indicators, there's a tradingview app to monitor chart and prices.

2171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you learn as a gambler? on: December 15, 2019, 09:23:13 AM

Now what did you realize or learn as a gambler (regardless if you became an addicted or not) that you can share to others?

I am a typical gambler for almost a year now. And from that, I have learned the negative side of me. I AM GREEDY. YES. Whenever I win, I want more thus ended up being a loser. But hey, it is hard to control greed but you can lessen that emotion by setting up a target profit, have a positive mindset.

Another thing, at first I am depositing money to gamble. But I have learned now, I don't deposit anymore. Thus, earning some bucks even if I don't deposit. That's a good part, not need to get some money from my pocket, from my salary but still I manage to gamble and manage to payout.
2172  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin will replace money sa aking palagay ganeto ang mangyayari on: December 14, 2019, 09:03:31 AM

2173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Anniversary from the bottom 3k and 2 years from the 20k top on: December 13, 2019, 05:22:43 AM
If we'll gonna look at the chart now, nothing will be special for upcoming dec. 15. Though there is a chance that it may go up to $8,000-$8500, I do not think there will be a reason for another dec. 15 this year. Not everyone know that the bottom $3k was happened at that day. So there is nothing to spread some fud here for dec. 15th.  Cheesy

Let's see what will happen two days from now. Just don't expect that special event will gonna occur on that day.

2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speculation will drive the btc ride further as always on: December 13, 2019, 03:06:42 AM
Some says there is no use of btc and hence no demand of btc. So no one is buying.
You mean, less buyers or less investors. Those who do not want to take the risk and not aware about btc's use were the one's who missed the opportunity.

Quote
Another type of people who wants to see btc sub 7k, so they can buy and make quick profit.
But data shows btc is being traded from localbitcoins and dark market widely. In the end, speculation and sentiment will drive the btc ride. On May 2020, btc may exceed 40k.or go sub 6k. Lets wait and ride the btc coaster.

Investors or traders want the dip, it is the opportunity to buy more btc at a lower price. Everyone make sentiments but at the end we only want profits. As you have said, halving event of btc will soon to happen and we can not do anything but to hold and wait for the major pump.
2176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make big profits from exchanging bitcoin to altcoins on: December 13, 2019, 01:38:11 AM
So, you are a member of a pump and dump group who manipulating the price of altcoins and then shill your group here to attract members to join you and at the end the only one gaining here is you and not the members.

This is actually an old strategy, I mean traders tend to know how to trade and earn profits by exchanging btc to altcoins and vice versa. And this kind of schemes eventually been known by many thus they are already avoiding this kind of act  as it was just profitable at first then will convince you to upgrade your membership and at thr end, will give you wrong signal and infos.
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Decentraland? on: December 13, 2019, 12:01:48 AM
I don't have a property in decentraland. The platform's objective is good but I was confused at this;

Decentraland uses two tokens: MANA and LAND. MANA is an ERC20 token that must be burned to acquire non-fungible ERC721 LAND tokens.

Isn't too complicated to use two tokens and one has to be burnt? Looking at the chart in CMC, the token itself hardly recover just like the other altcoins. Just think twice investing to this token. Therr are other real estate blockchain project out there that has more potential than this.
2178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference? on: December 12, 2019, 08:08:45 AM
It is still an issue for some government to actually fully allow cryptocurrency. It's not easy and other government thought that cryptocurrency will be a threat to their own currency.

On the other hand, Digital cash vs centralized cryptocurrency were both transacted onlines but still have difference. Cryptocurrency has an encrytion data like transactions and work out in blockchain. If you want to read further how those two were different from each other, you may want to read an explanation about it, here.
2179  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Crypto Exchanges Should Lower Their Fees and Profit Margins on: December 12, 2019, 07:00:18 AM
It is impossible to follow that zero fees. How can they actually earn and gain if they will not incorporate fees? Though I am in favor of lowering the fees but not to the extent that they will give zero fees. But, looking at this:

Poloniex is one that has offered zero fee trading until the end of the year but it remains to be seen yet if it will continue the practice into 2020.

If poloniex made it and will continue, I do hope some virtual currency exchanges may capable of if not in zero fees, then reducing the fees. For some reason, when it comes to that matter (fees) I do understant how their business works.
2180  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Government freezes KAPA Assets including Crypto holdings on: December 12, 2019, 05:17:33 AM
Justice served na itong maituturing sa lahat ng naging biktima nito at ito ang isang dahilan kung bakit nasisira ang reputation ng cypto currency dito sa Pilipinas.

The frozen assets include those in bank accounts as well as insurance policies, cryptocurrency holdings, and other assets that are linked to Kapa. Records show that Kapa also owns luxury cars, sports vehicles, a helicopter, a hospital, a school, and other properties.

Magsilbi sana itong lesson and a warning to those who are planning to enter on this type of investments or fraud especially in the Philippines.
