2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: March 23, 2021, 03:47:17 PM
No one has mentioned Pancakeswap token (Cake) it is a very nice coin to hold. It has a very nice future like Uni and BNB as long as you continue to stake your cake to earn dividends on the pancakeswap it is a nice investment plan to be honest.
2162  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian Banks To Close Accounts Involved with Crypto on: March 23, 2021, 01:25:03 PM
Lol this must be the dumbest central bank in the world, seriously how do you just start closing people’s accounts when you have not even given out a first warning to let them know that they shouldn’t be involved in crypto trading? They don’t just start closing people’s account without letting them know, it’s totally wrong, they should first warn them and give them time. I even saw a topic opened by someone living in Nigeria and he said someone there had his accounts blocked the same week they made this announcement.

Well, it’s their loss, because they will be losing big crypto companies like Binance, so that’s a loss a for them too. And it’s not like people there will stop trading crypto lol. I don’t know why governments always think that by banning crypto, they can stop money laundering, they have forgotten that having centralized exchanges helps them keep an eye on what’s going on in the crypto world, when they decide to ban all these centralized exchanges that means they will lose sight of everything taking place in the world.
It is actually lack of vital information of how the how the technology is been done, they are adamant and they are too proud to admit it. Banning or restrictions of bank accounts trading crypto is not the ultimate way to even stop the use of crypto in Nigeria. They lack logical reasons why they are regulating it. They already issued warnings to Banks not operate with exchanges, fine why the restriction of bank accounts susceptible to trading of crypto?
2163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.K. Bitcoin trader to Pay $572 Million Penalty for perpetrating a Ponzi Scheme on: March 23, 2021, 09:18:19 AM
It is good he is made to face the consequences of his  scamming actions, such scams were conducted in Nigeria through Tron and Ethereum last year. The lied to gullible victims that they were conducting Smart contracts. They swindled a handful of those coins from there through these Ponzi schemes leaving the victims traumatized and helpless.

2165  Economy / Economics / Re: I think I know who satoshi really is Am I Crazy? He He.... on: March 22, 2021, 08:57:43 PM
Steve Jobs already had a lot of things to do before he died, I'm not condemning your theory but there is 99% likeliness that this is false and misleading. I believe Stave Jobs had relatives that could have said a few things about him being the inventor of Bitcoin if he was the one behind the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto. Untill you have logical proofs to bring, We still believe the idea that Satoshi isn't known yet.
2166  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is electrum a theif? on: March 22, 2021, 07:11:34 PM
Electrum isn't the culprit here, it is actually your bit ignorance of how to use the service. They already told you here; "tried sending 0.25 to a company. I was told the fees were too high... like 7000% higher than the amount I was sending?  WTF?" Why you couldn't send out your coins, they would have to debit transaction fees from the available amount in your wallet. Once your balance can't cover for all these you would not be able to withdraw except you add more bitcoin buy buying few satoshis more.
2167  Economy / Economics / Re: Tweets as Non-fungible tokens (NFT) - Dorsey's million dollar tweet on: March 22, 2021, 01:53:52 PM
Overtime auctioning these tweets would worth what amount for their buyers? What do the buyers plan to do with them at the long run? I've seen CZ Binance sold one of his tweets as well. I'm beginning to think people are wasting money instead of donating them to charity and homeless people instead.
2168  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank of Nigeria Official Reiterates Nigerian Residents Free to Trade BTC on: March 22, 2021, 01:06:37 PM
They may flag random users who deal with cryptocurrency and close down their bank accounts. This will create issues for cryptocurrency users. If they close down the bank account, then the users will face all sort of difficulties. Debit cards and credit cards will get blocked and making payments for utility bills and other expenses will be impossible. Still, at least the situation is better than what we have in India. In Nigeria at least the government is not stupid enough to make possession of cryptocurrency a criminal offense.
Actually this is the case here in Nigeria, they will restrict accounts of users who are dealing with cryptocurrencies but they have not made any law prohibiting possession of cryptocurrency as criminal offence. They rather directed Banks to stop dealing with exchanges offering such services in Nigeria. I'm sorry the Indian government is treating you guys this bad.
2169  Economy / Economics / Central Bank of Nigeria Official Reiterates Nigerian Residents Free to Trade BTC on: March 21, 2021, 05:41:59 PM
Quote
A senior executive with Nigeria’s central bank, Adamu Lamtek, has reportedly denied that his institution had placed restrictions on the use of cryptocurrencies. Instead, Lamtek, who is the deputy governor responsible for corporates services at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), says his organisation’s directive only applies to the banking sector.
Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/central-bank-of-nigeria-official-reiterates-nigerian-residents-free-to-trade-cryptos-directive-only-applies-to-banking-sector

As a Nigerian I can confirm this particular quote from Mr Adamu is false and CBN has restricted Nigerians from using Bank accounts to buy cryptocurrencies. Though P2P has been done smoothly but there are high rate of scams involved.. People have lost huge some of money through this medium because of holistic approach by the CBN.
2170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 21, 2021, 04:18:47 PM
A lucky gambler would toss off the Benevento's odd, Juve is gradually becoming shadow of themselves. I would never imagine Juve losing to a team like Benevento in this crucial time of the season. They should bid the tittle race farewell for this season already.
2171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 million BTC wallet on: March 21, 2021, 06:56:45 AM
How can anyone aside the actual owner of the said wallet guess who is the person behind the coins? I believe you're asking rhetorical questions, BTW what happened to privacy policy involved in dealing with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency generally? Are you a government agency looking for how to nab someone behind the wallet? Take some few sits back and have a nice nap you're not making any sense with this.
2172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 21, 2021, 05:41:54 AM
It will definitely be a tough London derby today, West Ham  would love to win Arsenal and cling the power of the top 4 from their arch City rivals (Chelsea) today. Arsenal on the other hand has been constantly winning their games recently. A draw is likely going to happen or West Ham would win with a goal margin of 1-0, 2-1,-3-2. I've stopped following Mourinho and his boys of late, they seem very considerate though, started the league very strong and they lost the vibe on the way to the glory. Aston Villa should not be a hard opponent for them to defeat IMO. It is going to be a fierce battle after all. Tottenham will score two goals and above.
2173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invested in alt in 2017 ..and now need help to dont do same mistake on: March 21, 2021, 05:23:35 AM
Take a big lesson from your mistake, take advice from the experienced ones here and buy the right coins for a long term hold. Maximize your investment and take profit at the right time and invest in projects that are very reliable. The lesson here mainly is situated on investing on the right coins which wouldn't fail while holding them for 1-5 years minimum. The veterans here have made the same mistake as you and every novice as well. You can follow top traders giving signals on Twitter as well. You're likely going to gain profit at the long run.
2174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 20, 2021, 01:38:39 PM
Either Real Madrid or Barcelona will contend with ATM for the title if they fail to win this week's encounter. They were leading with more than 10 points the gap is even closer than I thought. It would be an interesting end of the season clash.

Celta Vigo Vs Real Madrid
The return of Sergio Ramos against Atalanta was phenomena he's always in control of the defence, today's match should not be tasking for Real to win with the Spaniard at the back. Benzema is back to himself, he displayed some quality plays on Tuesday night as well. Vinicius needs to charge himself like the City and Barcelona boys in his age group, he seems to miss too many chances.
My predictions 0-2.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So lets talk honest now about btc on: March 20, 2021, 01:02:12 PM
You're likely going to get scammed if you are holding some Bitcoins, reason been you're eager to make money fast and it is people like yourself that's is targeted by scammers. Bitcoin investment over the years have made people money for a fortunate living either through holding it as an asset or trading it. It is all up to you to decide what to do with your coins. Be attentive and make sure your PK are kept private and safe. There are coins which are likely going to repeat the same uptrend movement as ETH, BNB and the likes you just have to do your diligence by researching on what to invest over time.
2176  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin millionaire lists reasons most will never be rich on: March 20, 2021, 06:14:14 AM
He had rather took his advice to careers and developments it is not fitted here in the coven of Bitcoin discussions, he bought Bitcoin hoping to get rich fine. He was able to purchase some bitcoin hoping to get to $100k mark and he sells off to be ×2 richer how does this relate with the list of opinions he listed? It is not relatable to be honest. His views of bitcoin is from personal perspective.
2177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congrats to the Diamond Hands Bitcoin Holders! on: March 20, 2021, 05:36:19 AM
It is not an easy task to hold bitcoin for such a long time for you to be a millionaire through it, they deserve the accolades they are getting. What is worthy of note is; most of these people have money, they have patient and it is paying off for them. Diamond hands or not regardless we are celebrated as well. We are champions for keeping the technology growing is a feet we have collectively achieved.
2178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price would hit $288,000 this year, according to this metric on: March 19, 2021, 08:50:23 AM
but what is the moon for bitcoin because clearly the current prices isn't the moon that we are looking for.
Whatever the outcome might be, it wouldn't still be the moon everyone is looking for, it is a different moon for different Holder and different trader.  The earliest birds must have arrived at their purposeful moon. If bitcoin should hit the $280 mark, it will definitely be a great feet for everyone who must have had a connection with the gem.
2179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk name once again used to fool people by hackers! on: March 19, 2021, 07:20:58 AM
Sometimes when people see a great promise for a major benefit/profit-their minds stop working.
Even I fell a victim into a BTC scam last year.I've lost only 100USD worth of BTC,so I was lucky I guess.
I just wanted to test the service offered by the scammer with a small amount of BTC and I got scammed.
I was expecting to be scammed, but I still got surprised, when I was scammed. Grin
I get why people are falling for this "double your Bitcoins" scam, even though the scam doesn't make any sense from a logical perspective.
Greed actually lured you even when you knew it was scam you still tested the dept of the River with both of your feet. You'd be happy it was only $100 worth of BTC the scam cost you. We just have to be be careful and stay safe to avoid such scams around.
2180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk name once again used to fool people by hackers! on: March 19, 2021, 06:20:05 AM
Sometimes exposure will eradicate such petty scams, greed will definitely lure a lot of newbies into the hands of these wicked scammers. Imagine someone promising to double your Bitcoins in 30 minutes isn't this enough indicator to alert you it is an obvious scam? The max supply of bitcoin is fixed how on earth will such a person be able to manufacture ×2 of your bitcoin within a timeframe of 30 minutes? I hope a lot of people learn through this thread.
