2161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 22, 2022, 08:49:45 PM
What happened to France, they surprisingly haven't won a single game so far...

They have broken the deadlock finally and they have managed to do so very convincingly. Mbappe and Giroud will be the headliners for France in the game, they connected properly in the game creating chances, and leading to the first goal for Mbappe and good enough Giroud was able to score a goal as well. France have plenty options in front with the likes of Greizman, Giroud, Benzema, Mbappe for goal, but what Giroud offers to france in terms of aerial advantage cannot be provided by their other options in front of goal, hence IMO, the French team will need Giroud for the world Cup, for his aerial advantage and then those very beautiful passes he makes.
2162  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Polluters must pay’: UN chief calls for windfall tax on fossil fuel companies on: September 22, 2022, 08:26:24 PM
Also I'm interested to know how public opinion views these topics. I have a feeling public sentiment on climate change and alternative energy have shifted a little over the last 2 years.
In addition to plans by the UN chief to tax these companies they should also put pressure on them for them to be more involved in creating awareness about climate change and how everyone can contribute to arresting this challenge we all stand to face as well as conducting regular environmental exercise that involves environmental evaluation and remediation where necessary. If companies are involved in environmental duties, they will make an effort to reduce the amount of pollution they let out.

The person just rush reply without making a meaningful sentence. I don read the reply left, right and centre, but e no make sense.
These sort of rash comments often are reflections of hate and dislike that some people have for the subject, they make comments without even thinking. This is why some people have the opinion that some supporters of some specific candidates that are running for the presidential position are aggressive and need to be called to order. The campaign will be starting soon and I am sure that we will be seeing more of these sort of uncalculated comments from people.
2164  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Looking for a real mining platforms that pays. on: September 22, 2022, 10:59:33 AM
If you are really interested in mining, you might want to ask how to build your own mining rig. There are members here that could give tips on how to properly do so.
If OP decides that building a mining rig is what he wants, please understand that there are challenges to it and it doesn't come cheap. You should be able to understand the power intensive nature of maintaining a rig.

Read this article to have an idea of the requirements in hardware that you will be needing: https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-build-a-cryptomining-rig/
2165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money do you leave in crypto casino? on: September 22, 2022, 06:40:13 AM
Do you leave your balance in your casino balance or you withdraw immediately regardless of the reputation of the casino?
Reputation matters a lot and that will be the first thing I'll consider before leaving any amount of money in my casino balance. For a casino with a good reputation and long-standing I would only keep a fixed amount that I have resolved to use for gambling for say that period in my casino balance just to ensure that I can keep my gambling activities in check.
2166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Education Resources to learn bitcoin from scratch on: September 21, 2022, 04:20:14 PM
I am a non tech guy, with little knowledge of coding, block chain and how to use bitcoin.

It's a good thing that no technical knowledge is really required to become knowledgeable in the use of bitcoin. People from all walks of life and with all sort of skill sets can learn about bitcoin provided they're disciplined enough to subject them self to the rigours of learning something new. Good thing is that it may not take you time to catch up with if you properly commit to all the resources that have been referred to, and you keep an open mind plus the  willingness to learn.
2167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ex- Chancellor Rishi Sunak Could be Satoshi Nakamoto ! on: September 21, 2022, 12:41:25 PM
Doesn't it prove that Rishi Sunak is a good candidate for Satoshi Nakamoto ?
These are very unnecessary details that you are concerning yourself with IMO. Why do people keep worrying themselves about the identity of Satoshi, is it going to change anything? I think there are better things to focus on OP like how to align yourself to be a beneficiary of bitcoin than concerning your with unnecessary details like Satoshi's identity that so much has been vested to conceal. Don't loose focus!
2168  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: September 20, 2022, 03:05:11 PM
War has always been associated with altered economic progression for citizens who then become victims of the harsh economic realities they will have to face as a result of crisis. But there are some people and companies that benefit and are not really affected whenever there is a crisis for instance, the manufacturers of guns and ammunitions, pharmaceutical supplies as well and relief materials are always in profit.

Nigeria Gold Medal List
- Amusan, Oluwatobiloba – 100m Hurdles
Another big congratulations to Amusan, this record which she ran at 12.12secs at the commonwealth has been validated and she is now the world record holder officially for that category. She is an inspiration to other athletes who believe that they will one day be the first to hold a world record for their country.

Other records that were Ratified by the athletics body are;
- Armand Duplantis record 6.21m (Pole Vault)
- Sydney Mclaughlin record 51.41s, 50.68s (400mH)
- Letsile Tebogo record 9.94s (WU-20 100M)

2170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gambling Companies and Bitcoin on: September 20, 2022, 01:32:25 PM
Are the authorities of these nations turning a blind eye on the Bitcoin use?
Online casino's are accessible to people in different locations, and the casino you play with may not be bound or affected by very strict laws of your country. On the other hand, Most governments do not worry too much about their citizens owning bitcoins as digital assets and making use of it for things like trading and say gambling, they just don't want it mixing up with their banking sector, just like the central bank in my country Nigeria recently clarified. So long you have a way to profit and get your money without going through the banks, you are good to go.

Reno used to be a big and respected figure on social media particularly during the #endsars protest, where he was largely and always in support of the youths, and spared nothing in criticizing the excesses of the present APC government. But since recently, he is still big but gradually now loosing any respect he has because of talking too much on the internet. There are many persons like myself who do not take him seriously.
2172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 19, 2022, 02:11:16 PM
Real Madrid reminded once again how great a team they are.
No Benzema, No problem for the team! The quality on the Real Madrid squad is top notch, and the young players on that team have shown to be capable to carry own the legacy of Real Madrid. I re-watched that Rodrygo's early stunner many times, it was world class, a quick snap shot and finishing just like what we saw Mbappe do in the champions league. Even Valverde who made a beautiful run in the last game and scored a super goal, made an impression in the game as well, very hardworking, versatile and devoted, he gives his all in every game he has the opportunity to play in. Real Madrid are yet to either loose or draw a game this season, and just like Arsenal, this has been their best start to the season in a long while, Kudos to the coach, if he can keep the team winning after the international break, especially the first three games that follow the break, they will be heading to break the clubs personal record of all time best start to the season. The competition they will face in the La liga as regards who wins the title this season will be Barcelona who are also doing well in their own way.

2174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an electronic currency, can it be use for bet gambling on: September 18, 2022, 05:47:28 PM
can I found my sport bet account using bitcoin.
You can fund your sport bet account with bitcoin if the betting provider includes that option as a funding option for your account, but if you are not disciplined as you know yourself well, try not get too conversant with this and stick to regular funding via your local currency as you can directly put the bitcoins you are wanting to hodl at risk of being tamparerd with constantly by you in a bid to fund your betting account.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 18, 2022, 04:54:54 PM
The rate at which new people are joining the forum and the entire community is very high, which makes me wonder how mentally prepared these new and previous users are for Bitcoin investment.
Not every newbie joining the community is doing so for the purpose of always wanting to invest in bitcoins immediately. Some people have already gotten some development mentally and are already into bitcoins, but joined forum to just be a member of a community to enjoy its benefits.

How prepared are you mentally as a newbie when the market is on uptrend or down trending?
The level of preparedness depends on the level of knowledge one is able to get about the market, and there is a possibility that a newbie here can be more prepared than someone who has been here a while longer than they have.
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 18, 2022, 02:51:05 PM
Well Arsenal was favourites in this game but I expected Brentford to be challenging but they failed to score even a goal home...
Brentford are good with long balls, but Arsenal gave them no chance as we maintained and dominated possession. I expected a goal as well though from Brentford judging from their performance this season and also because of their striker Ivan Tooney who is in form and has been listed in the English team ahead of some other English players.

they will face Spurs in the next round. City will have also a difficult match vs ManU so I assume by the first days of October we might see some changes in the table.
Arsenal vs Spurs game is going to be tense, both teams are on top form, with very good attacks, plus with Son recently returning to scoring ways, we may have a challenge in our defense.

Everton is on their way to their first winning of the season, currently leading WestHam by a slender goal, Lampard will be relieved if his team can get all three points in this game without throwing away the lead they already have.

Teaching suppose be somtin born out of passion nd no b jst regular job else, person no go fit teach anytin nd dem go dey jump at any opportunity 2 strike.
A major concern of ASUU is not just for staff and lecturers welfare but also the welfare of students. if you follow closely on the news and some of the major reasons why ASUU is still on strike, you see that it is traced down to a breach in contract by the government on an agreement they had with them about pumping some certain amount of money (in billions) yearly for the rehabilitation of school facilities in the country as they are in a sorry state.

According to ASUU, the agreed amount was only paid once during the Jonathan administration and since the buhari administration, the government have been unable to meet up with the agreed amount for a year and have not paid for a couple of years hence the decision to go on strike. I watched and heard this from an interview ARISE TV had with one of ASUU's officials during their regular Morning show, and the amount stated that was agreed was about 250billion naira yearly for like five years, since the government said they couldn't pay all at once. Jonathan paid one of the first deposit completely to ASUU, but since Buhari's Administration, they have not been able to pay 200 billion completely, how poor and unconcerned!!!

Federal universities in Nigeria are in a sorry state, old dilapidated small and uncomfortable lecture halls, classrooms and other structures, we have dilapidated student hostels with no or poor toilet facilities, as well as empty school laboratories...So how can students learn comfortably? Our Federal higher institutions cannot compare with that of some other African countries, If we really pride ourselves as the giant of Africa,  our government needs to be held to responsibility.
2178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will satoshi come back and give his 1 million btc to users of this forum if BTC on: September 17, 2022, 07:02:07 PM
I have heard that he mined 1 million btc and was hoping that BTC would have converted the entire financial system in 10 years.
People say a lot of things sometimes most of them, borne out of sheer rumour, you should be careful what you listen to so you do not become a rumour monger as well.

IF his project fails what would he do with those coins?
We can't say exactly but only assume, so no matter the response you get, it is just a mere assumption because only Satoshi knows what he will do.
2179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 17, 2022, 06:42:27 PM
Ausburg's defense was very strong and focused; they kept the pressure put on them by Bayern in order to keep the three points.
The game did not go as planned because many people, including myself, did not expect Bayern to lose. This was Ausburg's third victory of the season, and the victory moved them up to 11th place with nine points.
Bayern Munich disappointed many stakers who bet on them to win. I have a close friend who considering the last results from Bayern Munich champions League game against Barcelona played Bayern Munich to win the first half, but as we all know, they didn't even get a point from the game as Ausburg gave them no chance. It's a big loss for the team and Mane who is struggling to cope with form, He didn't have up to 5 shots on this game and that's a poor performance by his standards.

It was a slender win for Dortmund on the other hand against Schalke, not their best performance as well but it is a good win to get them back on winning terms after their champions League loss to Manchester city.
2180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 17, 2022, 12:34:51 PM
Haaland is a beast at scoring goals;
The first goal from Grealish (assist by KDB again) totally threw the Wolves off balance, they looked to be picking up pace, but Haaland's goal took away any hope of recovering. Its been a long time since we saw Haaland score a goal from outside the penalty box, even so with his weaker foot, a sign to show that he is on top form. To keep watching the game is just for us to see how many Manchester City will add to the score, especially with the silly red card that Wolves picked up before the break. Haaland has made his own record, now the first player in the EPL to score in all his first four away games for his club, He has got over ten goals already this season in the EPL and certainly will not stop there, the golden boot is certified his if he continues in this goal scoring behavior.
