I was out of words for Manchester city come back, it was quick and fast, indeed they are representing England and my tickets.  What is more amusing about these matches is Arsenal and Tottenham, I don't know who is informing who but they seem to be on the same radar of goals. Who would have thought that Arsenal and Tottenham would have played well today? West Ham had the opportunity to go for Europa League but Brighton didn't take to lightly with them, the Premier League table doesn't haven't any changes even after the matches, congrats to all the winning teams. Arsenal and West Ham United were unlucky in the last game as Tottenham were able to win and West Ham failed to maintain a one-goal lead over Brighton. West Ham's defeat left Man United in 6th position. I don’t know how City did it because it felt like it was over, but they made it look so easy which makes you wonder will they even lose a game next season?. Also I genuinely believe that the next season title will be decided mostly by goal difference or max one point. Lastly Arsenal were not unlucky they were guilty of poor football against Newcastle which ultimately cost them their spot in the champions league. I think Manchester City learnt from Real Madrid comeback at the UEFA Champion's League semifinal, Manchester City were positive they will be able to pull the strings to get the much needed win against Aston Villa. FC Bayern extends Manuel Neuer's contract until 6.2024. This means he would be for 13 years in a row for FCB. He is 36 years old and possibly his last extension as goalkeeper. And he remains captain of the team. Manuel Neuer is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and was World Champion with Germany in 2014. He has won so many titles, 10 German Championships and 2x the Champions League. But at 36, his reflexes are slowing down and he will have to be replaced in the next years.
Neuer has won absolutely everything, and it now seems more like he is going to retire at the club, they are absolutely going to struggle to replace him when he actually leaves, but i am pretty sure Bayern are already lining up his long term replacement. It is always good when a club has one standout keeper that would produce brilliant performaces every season and stick with the club for many years like Neuer has done with the German Champions, it is great cause the club would have one less position to worry about for many years, goodluck to Bayern and Neuer going forward. Bayern Munich offered a two year contract to a goalkeeper who's been excellent for them though age is not on his side. Manuel Neuer is 36 years old, Bayern Munich couldn't offer Lewandowski who's been more than excellent a three year deal. It's a good one for Manuel Neuer though, because he might not be a first choice in another club or be very impressive due to the age factor. |

Mbappe is of course exceptionally good. Real Madrid have a great striker in the person of Benzema. Maybe it even performs better than Mbappe. How would you actually get those 2 to play together? I think Benzema performs so well because he has a free role, when Ronaldo was there it wasn't. If Mbappe had gone to Real Madrid, it would presumably be at the expense of Benzema. 1 top striker is enough, and you don't want to put 1 of the 2 on the reserve bench.
If Real Madrid signed Mbappe he would have been converted to a winger using Mbappe-Benzema-Vinicius to spearhead their attack, of course any of the trio can score goal if the opportunity unveil itself, that combination would have been the most potent and formidable attack in Europe. Alternatively if Benzema is injured Mbappe can step in or be drafted as their main striker, Benzema free role that culminated in his scoring of goals was due to the chances created by their wingers like Vinicuis and midfielders e.g Modric, Camavinga e.t.c. As much as we would love to see that combination, it's unfortunate we are not going to see the partnership between Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema in a Real Madrid jersey, maybe this will happen at the Qatar world cup with the French national team. In a few days we will see the last match in Serie A for this season, there are 2 very crucial matches between Intermilan Vs Sampdoria and Sassuolo Vs AC Milan. Inter will play at their home, while AC Milan will play away. Currently AC Milan and Intermilan are only 2 points apart which means if AC Milan loses to Sassuolo and on the other hand Intermilan wins from Sampdoria, it will make Intermilan in 1st position in the standings and become Serie A champions. We'll see, is this possible happen later  . The last match of Serie A this season is of course very crucial, both teams have so far had to determine their own destiny to be able to get the Scudetto, I think in this case both teams have quite balanced opponents, Sassuolo and Sampdoria are two teams that often surprise the team great team and this is why ac milan and intermilan are likely to have a tough fight against their opponents later, but despite the two point difference that ac milan has, I hope that if they can stay focused on winning in the last match later and hope they can end it fasting scudetto title that has been long since the 2010/11 season ago. I don't think Liverpool is stronger than Manchester City. They likely have better tradition and more experience in Champions League than Mancheser City. But about quality, they are at same quality so if Real Madrid can score goals and beat Manchester City, they will be able to beat Liverpool.
Mane and Salah can score goals but Real Madrid in this season, does not have issue with conceded goals. They can score more goals and break mentality of opponents to get final win.
It might be true that Liverpool is not stronger than Machester, but I think we will see a very different game in the final compared to the Machester vs Madrid semi-finals. Odds for winning the trophy are Liverpool 1.55 & Madrid 2.35, which is quite balanced considering earlier odds of the semi-finals when everybody thought it will be an easy task for ManCity. Utlimatively I think Liverpool will win this game, but it won't be an easy task and might go to extra time. Yes, Liverpool are not stronger than Manchester City but they have a strong mentality and history in European competition as compared to City. Manchester City have been able to get the best hands money can buy so that they got some level of success in recent years, yet they still lack mentality and that's what money cannot really buy for a team. It takes time to buid. I think Real Madrid has an edge over Liverpool but I know they won't have it like they did with Manchester City. |
